My suit feels nice and warm after I washed it and dried it. It helps against the cool air as it goes back to room temperature, made me wish it stayed for longer. The grapple gun I acquired at Kaioh enterprises feel much more sturdy. While I appreciated the previous, if I am dealing with beings with enhanced strength, I need any advantage I can get.

I go to districts I had not gone previously. If I am to be justice, I must patrol parts of tokyo night by night. At least until I get a car. Then again, I would need to be 18 to get a car. It would take too long. But a motorcycle, I can acquire soon as I need to only be 16. My birthday is coming up next month which will be useful. But for now, jumping around rooftops must suffice.

I hear the sound of glass breaking again, I head towards where I heard it as I see three males in my age range, pulling out a large box tv. Breaking and entering. Theft. I can deal with them. I jump down, feeling like a sardine in a can with how tight of a space this is. I begin to wail down strikes at the one standing guard at the window.

He must have a glass jaw as he falls backwards, his weight making him nearly fall. I grab his leg to pull him back up, to which one of the others, strike my leg. Making it buckle, I use my free hand to strike his groin, he tilts over and conks himself on the head against the rusted frame of the fire escape platform.

I pull the one I have been holding to the fire escape and the last guy drops the tv and runs out of the room and heads downstairs to escape. I use my grapple gun to head downwards to meet him by the front door of this apartment building as he bumps into me.

"Going somewhere?" I then strike him in the chin, making him fall backwards as I pin him down with my knee and land a single, decisive takedown strike to his head. Knocking him out. The tv had two of the boys fingerprints on them. That will have to suffice for evidence. I cuff the three and go to a phone booth to make an anonymous call to the police before leaving.

I'd say I was amateur. I need to be better. But those kids will go to juvie more than likely. So justice is served. It makes me wonder... about the two that killed Mizuki. Were they villains. They have to be. They are murderers. Although no evidence can be compiled, Mizuki cant be avenged yet. Although she was a criminal, even criminals have families.

I go next to a crime scene. A murder, I see the police tape and tarp over the body to protect it from the elements. I wasn't too sure how long it'll be until the morgue arrives, so I must do this efficiently and quickly. I see there was no bullet wounds, from what I see from the flapping of the tarp, the head has severe bruising. He died from the impact, but from what?

I look to see there's no tire marks which indicates it's not a hit and run. I pull out a dark light to see if there's a trail. Luckily I managed to find it. It goes into the alleyway. I follow it as it trails off into a trash can. I sift through it, being careful as to not get any of the smell on my suit. While the leather is great for having raindrops roll off my suit. It has the con of possibly having possible things soak into it. I find a ball-peen hammer, covered in blood.

I pull out mini tongs from my utility belt and pull out the hammer. This was grade-A stupid of the culprit. Perhaps they or their accomplices will realize and return to the crime scene. I set up a wire trap, one that'll catch the arm of anyone intending to sift through this trash can.

While I wait, I start to eat some jerky this time along with the coffee. I was always a fan of spicy things so tasting that with the jerky is quite nice. The coffee Sumatra with vanilla is good. It helps keep me aware and get relaxed. Takes my mind off of the bad thoughts. It's then I realized bringing that up, brings in the intrusive thoughts.

I need to find a way to block that out and focus on the mission. After 12 minutes, the morgue comes to take the body. After 46 minutes, I see someone exit a car. They looked nervous, jumpy, I presumed at first it could be someone doing some drugs. But they start to head down the alley, is this the one I'm looking for? Or is it unrelated, perhaps this is a detour for them to head home.

I hear my trap go off as the man pulls and jerks on the wire. I use the grapple gun to wind him upwards towards me like a fish on a line. He starts to scream out until he sees me, his eyes in complete terror.

"W-What... what in God's name are you...?" His voice was caught in his throat, he could only get that sentence out with a shuddering, whispering tone.

"I am your worst nightmare, the kind the makes you wake up screaming for your mother. You knew you were sloppy with the murder. So you returned here to get rid of the evidence. I will make sure justice is served. But not before your punishment." I start to pulverize him, making sure he'd regret this action and with prison time. I'm sure he'll go straight.

While I hate criminals. The point of this crusade is to scare people straight. While I know that I myself am a criminal, as vigilantism is Illegal. Someone has to do something. I have wealth and power I must use to protect Tokyo. I doubt it's what mother and father would have in mind. But they died because of me, and I must atone for that for the rest of my life. My own life sentence I've placed upon myself.

I stopped landing any further blows, he's alive, but has many broken bones. I bring him downwards and tie him against the light pole. I make another anonymous tip and leave the rest to the police. The night has only begun, I head out of that district.

Not even 10 minutes pass as I run across the rooftops as I hear the sound of a girl. I look downwards as I see a little girl who is putting herself between a box and a massive dog. A mutt it seems. Although I am unsure as to why she would protect such a thing, I would again, be derelict in my duty if I did not go to protect her.

I use the grapple gun to swoop down and stand in front between the girl and the dog. The dog I can see is not so keen on attacking, now that there's a much bigger opponent facing him and while I see this dog is trying to eat something to survive.

I pull out a whistle out of my utility belt and begin blowing into it. It makes no sound, for humans to hear at least, but it's high pitch is enough for dogs to pick up on. It whimpers out and scampers away. I stand there to keep my eyes on the dog until it was gone from my eye-sight.

"W-What are you...?" I hear the little girls voice as I slowly turn around. She looks a little scared, but not as much as the usual individual witnessing me. Which I suppose in this moment I am grateful for.

"A guardian for Tokyo. Did the dog harm you in anyway?" The little girl shakes her head no in response. I think in my mind if I go down to her eye level, maybe she won't feel as intimidated, then again me just wearing this will still warrant such a response. I kneel down either way on one knee and speak in a slightly softer tone.

"You were very brave little one. But if I may ask, why were you protecting this box?" I then hear the sounds of mewling kittens coming from behind. The girl slowly and gently pulls the box towards me as she opens it, revealing a litter of 4 kittens.

"This is their home. I can't keep them in the box anymore and I can't even bring them in my own home. My mom is allergic."

"So why would you be out here at 11 at night for them?"

"I can't leave them here all alone. They need food and I worry about what could be out here might get them. I don't start school yet luckily but... my mom is gonna call me in soon." I look down at the cats, so small, all they have is each other. Siblings... michiru. I then take a breath.

"I can help get them a home." The little girls eyes widen as she looks up at me.

"Really? You mean it?!" I nod once as she goes to hug me in a fast motion. Taking me by surprise. I pat the girls head as I give her 40,000 yen (400 US dollars)

"Keep this safe and keep it hidden. Don't show this to anyone. This is for your dedication to these kittens and... and to your bravery to protect them." She nods and quickly runs back into the house.

"Now... how the hell am I gonna bring you all home. 4 is a bit of a crowd. Then again I live by myself for the current moment. Maybe sis can take one... or at least she might know some people that might want one. That'll mean having to end my patrol early tonight... well... I'd say tonight was a small victory." I then pick up the box and grapple my way up to the roof.

I jump across the rooftops with the box in tow. It takes me longer to get home. I take the kittens out of the box and into the living room. The cats were shaking. Either from the coolness outside or the fact that I was swinging around with them for a while. More than likely that. I get some milk out and some canned tuna I had. I had it here for rations, but they would be the last thing I eat. Now with these four, perhaps it'll be better used on them.

I take off my suit and shower and soon enough pass out on the bed. What a night.
