"Damn Damn DAMN! Where the bloody hell is it!" hook cursed to himself. What good was having a witch as your first mate if you couldn't find any of her god damn magic! He was running out of time, as his lovely companion had just moments before pointed out. He needed magic this instant and gods knew that the beast that Belle called her love was already looking for her. Damn, he did not have time for a scavenger hunt.
The thought hit him like a ton of bricks, there was only hand full of people who practiced magic, and all of them just happened to be cursed in this strange realm. And he knew one of them was definitely preoccupied with searching for a stolen treasure. A crooked grin sprouted on the pirates face as he threw on his cloak.

Theoretically, finding the dark ones lair should have been a synch. But in reality, hook didn't consider finding the laboratory of the crocodile 4 hours later a complete success. The whole town had rallied a search party to find Belle and he spent most of the day dodging the menacing groups, especially the snarling woman with a crossbow who looked like she could kill as easily as a solider. Because of the townsfolk's persistence to reclaim Belle, Hook had been annoyingly delayed and night had already fallen, if Rumplestilksin hadn't found the Beauty yet, he would soon.
With that in mind, the pirate crept around the shop and used his Hook on the lock on the door. It squeaked open and he quickly darted inside. It was dark, but hook refrained from turning on the lights for fear of being discovered. His eyes quickly adjusted to the dark and he made fast work of rummaging through the trinkets in the shop. He searched for anything, literally anything that might help distance himself from the dark one or keep the beauty from her beast forever.
Just as he was about to turn the whole place upside down, Hook caught something out of the corner of his eye. He swaggered over to the item with a curious look on his face. As he neared it, Hook realized just why it had caught his attention in the first place.
The shawl, Bae's shawl. Hook thought, he felt a stab of grief as the memories of his time with the boy and his mother flooded back to him. The two people he had only truly loved and cared about in his entire life. Hook rubbed the cloth on his face and swore he could still smell both of them on it. Rage filled his heart as the pirate thought about the losses of them both.
"Rumplestilskin didn't deserve either of them. Evil Bastard! He doesn't deserve this shawl, he never deserved them! He took everything from me!"
Tears of anger sprouted in his eyes and he threw the shawl at the adjacent cupboard in rage. After a few moments, Hook sighed and tried to regain his focus on his mission. He raised his head in the direction he threw the slip of cloth and found that it had caught itself on the handles. He sighed and went to retrieve the shawl.
"Holy Shit" the pirate exclaimed when he saw the contents of the cupboard. He held it up to the dim light barely trickling through the window. After examining it, hook drooped his head and tucked both the shawl and the vile to his chest and bowed his head. "Thank you Bae" he muttered just as he heard the lock turn in the door.
Hook quickly looked over his shoulder and ducked behind the glass castle to avoid being caught in the act.
As carefully as he could, the pirate peered through the sheer counter to the man that he detested more than his own wretched life, the man who had literally taken everything from him.
He almost let his anger get the best of him and jumped from his hiding place to enact his revenge on the man. Just has he was about to however, he noticed something different about the dark one. He was staggering through the dark shop, as he completely neglected to light his lantern or whatever that round light on the ceiling was called. He dropped his can and was leaning heavily on any surface area of his shop. He turned his attention back to the door quickly, as though he forgot something. He half walked, half stumbled to the entrance of the shop and very slowly, raised his hand and carefully ran his hand along the curve of a little bell hanging there.
"I do…hope, that you don't break my little Belle." He muttered quietly and sadly.
To hook, the sight was pitiful to say the least. Here was the all-powerful dark one crumpled and crimpled hardly able to walk and…my Gods now he's crying! A real man would find his beauty, not hid in his shop like a coward. Hook stood up as Rumplestilskin moseyed to the very cabinet that hook had stolen from moments ago. The Dark one retrieved a small teacup that appeared to have a small chip in it. Hook watched as the crocodile's tears touched the small cup and a faint blue light encircled the object.
"This is the only thing I have of you, but it's all I need. I'll never stop fighting for you my Belle. I'm so sorry." The Dark one whispered.
"Tears are peculiarly powerful things aren't they" Hook said.
Rumplestiklsin turned around in surprise and clutched the damaged cup closer to him. "You" he said with such distain in his voice "What have you done with her!" his words dripping with hatred.
"The question is crocodile, is why you are cowering away in your little cave instead of searching for your fair maiden? I see things haven't changed much have they." He replied to the monster.
"Your friend, Cora is not so different from her daughter. I was told she was killed by your hand, but this" he motioned to the cup "proves that lies and manipulation run in the family."
"Now come dark one have you no faith in your little beauty? She is quite a feisty little thing, put up quite the fight." hook said with a smirk, his cockiness oozing out of him.
Rumplestilskin growled and magically summoned his cane to his hand, ready to strike.
"Tell me where she is and I'll kill you quickly"
Hook reacted quickly and picked up a magic wand from the counter.
"Now I might not be practiced in your craft, but I've spent enough time with your ex's to learn a thing or two about magic. Like for instance, I know how powerful tears of loss can be." He motioned to the vile in his hand.
"These are Bae's tears, aren't they?" he said in a knowing voice.
Rumplestilskins eyes widen and took a step forward. Hook raised his wand in warning and the dark one stilled.
"How dare you touch what is his! You took my wife from me! Those and the shawl are all I have left of my boy!" he screamed as noticed the shawl in the pirates hook.
"You took away everything from him! These tears were for his mother that you killed! I have seen these tears before, these are tears he shed at sea in the dark of night with memories of his mother and his father gone! You took that away from him, he told me of how you abandoned him! You're a coward and you always will be. You take all that is good and happy, and you destroy it. You took my happy ending and now I'm taking it back!"
A cool knowing smile grew on the dark ones face, "You think you can have a happy ending with Belle?" The dark one stated mockingly. "Your heart is nothing but rotten, and you can't love with a rotten heart."
A twisted grin appeared on hooks face, "she can fix it."
"Ha" the dark one chuckled. "What makes you think that she'll want to?"
Hook's resolved snapped and a bright while light burst from the wand he was holding and the force of it sent Rumplestilskin back into the wall knocking him out. The cup in which he was holding soared though the air and Hook rain to catch it, snagging it right before it hit the ground. He put the cup, the tears and the shawl in his satchel turned to leave, but came back and hovered over his enemy's unconscious form.
He leaned over and whispered in his ear. "She has to love me, and if she doesn't…I'll make her. After the day you killed Milah, I became a monster. What can I say…I learned from the best."
With that, he turned on his heel and quickly exited the shop, knowing that at last, he would win, he would get his happy ending.

Hook crept around town sticking to the shadows yet moving as quickly as possible, his success was in sight. His torture of rumplestilskin, and securement of Belle and his happiness lay just in reach.
"HOOK!" He heard.
"How in the Hell!" Blood rushed to his head and he swerved around to see the lass Swan, in tow with the townspeople, had spotted him with a puzzled look. Just then, the dark one emerged from this lair evil glare in his eyes and blood trickling down his forehead. Swan took in the sight and turned back to hook, sudden realization apparent on her face.
"Get him!" She yelled and she, with the flock of mobsters ran towards him. He sprinted as fast as he could to his ship.
"He's going to the docks!" yelled the dark one just as an arrow sailed past him.
"What the Hell!" hook yelled as he chanced to look over his shoulder. He was making distance but the old woman was reloading her crossbow while a younger woman morphed into a dog and was catching up to him.
"What the fuck!" he screamed as he leaned down quickly to pick up a large rock and threw it at the dog. Miraculously it had hit its target square on the face giving him more distance.
His ship was in sight and to give himself more time, he used the fairy wand to make a wall of flames separating the dock from the mob. It would only be a few seconds more, but that was all that he needed.
He untied his ship and climbed aboard, he commanded the magic surrounding the Jolly Roger to prepare for departure as he pulled out the vile and the shawl. The mob had broken past the fire but he had already pushed off and thanks to the invisibility wards, they had no idea where he was.
Hook poured the tears over the shawl and watched as the blue magic started to form around it.
Just then, Belle busted from below and barely even glanced at him as she stated running towards the side of the ship.
"Oh no you don't" Hook muttered as he chased after her. He caught her around the waist just as she was preparing to jump off his ship.
"Let go of me! What do you think you are doing!" she screamed.
"Belle?!" The dark one yelled.
"Shit.." thought as he remembered that his ship may be invisible, but it wasn't sound proof.
"Rumple!" Hooks beauty yelled as she spotted the dark one on the dock becoming more far away.
Hook moved fast, walking to the edge and dropping the shawl into the water, holding on to his treasure securely.
The water started swirling into a vortex as Belle, with all her might, tried to wiggle free of the pirates grasp.
"What are you doing!" she screamed at him, her voice betraying her, the fear present in her quivering voice.
"There are only a handful of ways to travel across realms. But a number of ways to bring back what is lost. You beast's son lost his family and cried nightly for his loss. I poured his tears over a memory of love, a shawl his mother made him. That shawl will bring us back to the place where he felt most lost and when he needed love most."
Belle shuddered and barely whispered, "Where would that be?"
He leaned down and whispered into her ear,"Neverland, for forever."
A tear escaped her eye as she heard Rumplestikin call out for her again. The ship had begun its descent into the vortex as Belle looked out at the docks to her love.
"Rumple!" she yelled in the saddest voice. "I love..." she was cut off by Hooks hand and she broke, screaming out as tears rolled down her face.
"Don't say it." Hook growled. "Don't you dare say that to him."
"BEEEEELLLLLLEEEEE!" the crocodile screamed. It was the last thing either of them heard before they were sucked through the portal.
They appeared on calm blue seas, with a bright blue sky. The calm was broken by the cries of the beauty in the pirates arms. Belle felt her legs collapse as she let her weight fall, the pirate coming down with her to hold onto her as she cried and cried on the deck of the ship. He held her, cradled her, and comforted her though she fought him and screamed words of hatred at him.
After some time she became to exhausted to cry or fight anymore and she closed her eyes and breathed deeply. Hook stroked her hair and placed a chaste kiss on her forehead before scooping her up in his arms to take her down below to her new home.
