A man with tears mixed in his straggly hair stared off into the distance. A perfect picture of a starry night was what he watched. The lights in the sky reflected off the icy, almost calm waters, but this picture was far from beautiful for the man in question. It was an image of utter destruction, of the very ending to his sorry life.

"Mr. Gold!" Cried the Sherriff as she advanced towards the docks with the town in tow. "What happened where did they go?" She asked alarmed, gun readied to shoot the pirate who was no longer there.

Mr. Gold took a deep inhaled breath and tried to keep his voice as even as possible as he replied as best he could without weeping, "She's gone."

"They couldn't have gotten far!" Yelled Ruby as she emerged from the crowed.

"And I'm pretty sure I pierced him with my arrow as well" her grandmother interjected while indicating her crossbow to the sheriff who in reply, rolled her eyes.

"Come on" said Emma, "We'll take another ship and chase after them, they couldn't have gotten over the own line, their trapped and we'll get her back Gold.

Suddenly, the winds grew stronger and the seas became angry. The ships on the port began tossing and turning.

"What the hell is happening?!" Grumpy screamed from the back of the back as the storm became more ferocious. The town's people watched in fear as the ships started to break shatter, and capsize before their eyes. The mass on one of the ships broke off and tumbled down onto the dock, making the crowd scream and scatter. The only person who remained calm was the dark one, absolutely still and staring at the same spot in space with unmoving eyes.

Once everything calmed and every ship was destroyed, Emma approached Mr. Gold with caution.

"What the hell Gold! Was that you?" she demanded with furry in her eyes.

"Aye" he said in a deep, warning voice.

"How are we going to save her! You have to keep yourself in check you just destroyed our chance of getting Belle back-" She was silence as a force pushed her back and knocked her off her feet.

The towns people gasped as they helped Emma back up and watched Gold turn around to face them. His eyes were ablaze with furry as he started to stroll towards them.

"She is gone and she's not coming back." He said in a bone chilling voice.

"What are you talking about Gold?!" replied Emma.

"That…bastard took some other things from me besides Belle, including my sons shawl and tears" he stated. The crowd watched as he continued, dropping his cane and walking without his limp. "I was going to use those objects to transport me to another realm, a realm where he was lost, where…Belle is now lost."

"okay, well, can't you just use some of your magic to follow them there?" demanded grumpy, who was advancing forward to protect the group from Gold, who was looking more dangerous by the second.

"You idiot!" Gold replied, barring his teeth. "The queen cast a curse to take us to list land and she killed he own father to do that! Do you have any idea how difficult time travel is? Or are you just really that stupid?!"

"Alright Gold, insulting us isn't going to help Belle, how did hook do it then?" Emma replied cautiously.

Rumplestilskin sighed and combed his hand though his hair. "My son's tears were tears of loss, the most powerful of all tears. If combined with an object belonging to that person, the tears enable you to cross realms to the place were that person felt most loss and felt the most alone."

"And where would that be?" Emma asked carefully.

"Neverland I would presume."

"Neverland? That place actually exists?" asked ruby incredibly.

"Assuming that it did" Emma interjected, "I know you well enough to guess that you have bottled some of Belle's tears."

"What makes you say that?" asked Gold, seemingly offended by her assumption.

"You're obsessive, controlling, and overly protective of her" Ruby said in a flat tone. "Plus she told me she lost you once, knowing you, you would've taken…precautions to ensure it wouldn't happen again."

"…Follow me." Gold practically growled as he hastily made his way back to his shop.

"Is Gold okay?" Ruby whispered to Emma as they all followed him back to his domain.

"I don't think so, Belle seemed to be his only reason for ever doing the right thing, and he doesn't seem to stable." She said to her as she eyes the man in question. "Let's hope for our sakes he gets her back, and soon."

The two girls took deep breaths as they made their way into the shop. Emma noticed an obvious struggle had taken place there, as well as Gold's knuckles turning white as he grasped the counter top.

Emma gulped as she motioned for everyone to halt. "Gold"

"Well he knew what he was doing, didn't he." Rumplestilskin snarled as the group backed toward the exit."

"What do you mean?" asked Emma with a bit of fear in her voice.

"Her chipped cup, I kept it when she died, I kept it all this time, for her" He started breathing heavily as he turned to face Emma, "I kept it for years! The only thing I had to remember her by and that...bloody bastard takes it!" He screamed as he swiped his hand though the air and dozens of objects came crashing to the ground.

"Gold!" Emma screamed.

"GET OUT!" the dark one yelled. All did except for Ruby and Emma.

"Rumplestilskin, you need to focus, you need to find another a way to get her back!" pleaded Ruby.

"There is no other way! That was the only thing I had of her's! She's gone forever, and she's not coming back!" In his anger, Gold used his magic to send her flying back and smashing right into the wall, knocking the wind out of her.

Emma went back to help her back up as she was groaning in pain.

"If I were you dearie" gold stated in a pitch that was closer to child-like than man that Emma had never heard before, "I would stay the hell out of my way"

Emma's eyes grew large as she ran with ruby in tow out of the shop as she heard screams of rage and the sound of destruction behind her.
