Here is the ninth chapter of The New Dimension. I hope you enjoy.

The alternate version of New York seemed to be changing a little bit. Like the crime that was committed last night and scattered colours throughout the city. I found a couple coloured pencils in my apartment, but everything else was black and white.

Same thing on The Weather Channel. Clear and 72 every day and night. Boring, boring, and more boring.

It wasn't until I got to school that day when something interesting happened. I finally got to show Penny the medal.

Standing in the hallway outside of my classroom, my eyes picked up the sight of Penny walking towards me. She was probably getting ready to bug me for the billionth time.

"Oh hello, Sherman. Did you stop a crime last night?" she said.

"Actually, I did!" I chirped, showing her the medal.

Suddenly, her happy-go-lucky look churned into an infuriated look. "A citizenship award?" she spat out.

"Yes," I said blankly.

"You? You won a citizenship award?"

"Yes, the cop gave it to me after I helped him capture that criminal!" I beamed.

"I think you're lying."

"The proof is right in front of you!" I exclaimed.

"You know what? I'll get you back for that." Penny chirped.

"Sure, if you help capture a criminal," I scoffed.

"Actually, I'll get you back right now," Penny smiled mischievously.

"No you won't," I scoffed.

"I have wonderful accomplishments!" Penny bragged. "When I was in kindergarten, everybody loved me!"

"Yeah, because that was probably before you became a huge jerk," I scoffed. However, I had to try not to laugh, because I loved what I had just said.

"Nice try," Penny rolled her eyes at me.

"Oh yeah? Well I also make friends really easily! I could make another friend right away!"

"Do you know a very easy way to make friends?" Penny said.

"What?" I groaned.

"How about you just write 'I am desperate' on your forehead?"

Suddenly, a feeling of massive anger swept over me, and my heart plummeted. I could not believe what she just said. Also, I began to see everyone staring at us with freaked-out looks. One boy had a taint of green on his black and white shirt.

"You take that back!" I snapped.

"I will not," Penny growled.

"Maybe you should learn to be nicer!" I hissed.

"Well, at least I don't smell like fish all day long, Sherman Peabody!"

I gasped super loudly at that comment. "You say you're sorry!"

"I will not!" Penny screamed.

"You better say it now, or else!"

"Or else what?" Penny said blankly. "You're a dog. You can't do anything. So what are you gonna do? Bite me again?"

"I'm not a dog!" I shouted.

"Then why are you acting like one?" Penny chirped. "Why don't you start acting like a normal human being?"

"Why don't you just crawl into a hole and die! That's the only thing you're good for, anyway!"

Penny opened her mouth really wide. "W-Well, the only reason you're insulting me is because you need to be insulted yourself!"

"You know what? That's it!" I snapped. "I'm going home right now!"

"To do what? Are you gonna go home and cry to your doggy?"

I did not listen to Penny's harsh words as I bolted out of the school and began to head home, where there was no Penny. No Penny to mock me, make fun of me, and tease me.

I bolted into the apartment with feelings of anger and hatred plaguing me. As soon as I shut the door behind me, Mr. Peabody turned around with a concerned look. Plus, his bowtie was now red.

"Aren't you home from school a little early?" Mr. Peabody questioned.

"Penny won't stop bothering me!" I whined.

"Why won't she just stop?" Peabody asked.

"I don't know, maybe it's cause she's a huge jerk!" I spat out.

Mr. Peabody sighed. "Well, would you like some grilled cheese and tomato? Or I can make you some noodles."

"You seem to be acting more normal now."

Peabody sighed again. "Well... I've been doing some research on the... changes... that have been occurring across the city lately. Like the colours and the crime..."

I said nothing.

"I say, just stay away from Penny for a while. She'll stop eventually."

"Thanks," I said, going to my bed to try and recover from Penny's constant bullying.

Sorry this chapter was kind of short. But Sherman has finally snapped at Penny and she is still mocking him. Stay tuned for more.
