In Gabriel's apartment, Kira and Gabriel sit alone. The others had gone back to their motel on the other side of town. Gabriel moves his hand to on top of Kira's. "Are you absolutely sure that you're okay, Kira? I know you've been through a lot in the past twenty four hours," Gabriel tries to comfort the dark haired girl.
Kira stares out into space, completely unaware of the man next to her speaking. The silence had opened her mind back up to everything that had happened while she was a spirit. Her brother and her last words to him were all she could think of. Tears began rolling down her cheeks silently, but she didn't even notice. She was surrounded by the scene she'd seen while with her brother, desperately searching for her brother in her mind while she remained still.
"Kira? Kira, are you okay? Can you hear me?" Gabriel waves a hand in front of her face. When she doesn't respond he just takes her in his arms. "Even if you can't hear me, I want you to know it's going to be okay. Everything is fine now." Gabriel strokes the one teal stripe in Kira's hair. "You're so beautiful and smart, remember that," Gabriel says with deep concern for this girl next to him.
The grassy field starts disappearing while Kira tries to call out for her brother, but no sound comes out. Gabriel's living room starts forming around her as she notices the tears streaming down her cheeks and the body she's leaning on. She holds onto the arm wrapped around her, trying to find something real. The smell of candy surrounds her and she realizes it's Gabriel and holds onto him tighter.
"Hey, I'm here. It's okay, Kira," he reassures the young lady. "I'm never going to go anywhere as long as you need me. Why don't you try to go and get some sleep in my bed. I'll sleep out here on the couch," Gabriel tells Kira.
She holds onto him and shakes her head. "No, I don't want to be alone. I don't want to go back there, Gabriel," she chokes out, trying to wipe the tears from her face. "I'll stay out here; I'll be okay," she tells him, speaking more to herself.
"Well, as long as you're right here, that's where I'll be," Gabriel tells her with a small smile. "I have more cake in the fridge, if you want some," Gabriel says getting up and bringing back two giant slices of chocolate cake with two forks. "Here you go." He hands over one of the plates.
Kira takes the cake with a small smile. "Thank you, Gabriel," Kira says, taking a bite of the cake. "You're the best, you know that," she tells the angel absentmindedly. Her eyes go wide with embarrassment as she realizes what she's said. "Did I say that out loud?"
Gabriel nods with a smirk on his face. "That's okay though. I like the complements," Gabriel laughs. He smears some chocolate icing across Kira's cheek starting a war he hopes he can win.
Kira laughs and wipes the chocolate off with her finger. She immediately smears it on his nose once she gets it all off. "Hmm, could've sworn Rudolf had a red nose," she jokes, knowing how dumb she probably sounded.
"Oh yeah?" Gabriel smirks taking a chunk of his cake and shoving it down the front of Kira's already dirty shirt. "How do you like them apples?" Gabriel jokes knowing he sounded just as dumb.
Kira shakes her head and pulls the chunk of cake out, not caring if Gabriel sees anything while doing so. She puts the cake back on her plate. "You wanna get sweat and dirt on your cake, be my guest," she tells the golden eyed angel smiling.
Gabriel immediately presses his lips to hers. "Frankly, I don't care if I get dirt and sweat on me as long as it's yours," Gabriel says trying to be romantic and sounding rather gross instead, so to cover he kisses Kira again.
She smiles and takes a small piece of her cake and smashes it on Gabriel's face before running to get away before Gabriel realizes what she'd done. She hides in the shower, covering her mouth to muffle her laughing.
Sneaking quietly into the bathroom, Gabriel stands by the shower. With a swift motion he sticks his hand in and turns it on full blast onto Kira, making sure the temperature is alright. "How does that feel?" Gabriel says wrapping his arms around her to make sure she can't run anywhere.
Kira starts kicking and screaming, trying to get up and not hit her head on the faucet while doing to. "Gabriel, stop!" she screams as her layers of clothes begin sticking to her due to the water. She grabs onto his arms, trying to push him off her.
Gabriel laughs. "You're the one who said you were dirty and sweaty," Gabriel tells her trying not to laugh any harder. Water starts dripping in his eyes, and he instinctively lets go of Kira. "Dammit!" Gabriel laughs out loud.
Kira struggles to get out of the shower as her clothes weigh her down and she tries to maneuver on the slippery ground. She eventually manages to fall out onto the ground with a thud. "Not funny," she groaned in pain as she rubbed the spot on her head where she'd eventually managed to hit her head on the faucet.
Pulling out the biggest puppy dog eyes he can, Gabriel says, "Forgive me?" He smiles knowing he can eventually get Kira to cave in. "Please," he begs her with most innocent look he can manage. "I loooove youuu," he reminds Kira as she gives him an annoyed look.
The teal eyed girl rolls her eyes and smacks the angel. "God, you're acting like Catt when she's drunk," Kira mutters, getting up off the ground and wringing out her hair. "Only Catt is bearable," she taunts the angel with a smirk.
"Don't you love me?" Gabriel taunts right back. "I guess you don't," Gabriel sighs trying to hold back a smirk. He knows Kira loves him. It's undeniable. The way she looks at him, the way she talks to him, and the way she kisses him all show how much she really loves him.
Kira walks over to Gabriel with a smile and pulls his jacket towards her so he'll come closer before kissing him. She pulls away, a broad smile still on her face. "Now, can you snap my clothes dry or something?" she asks the angel, gesturing to her soaking wet clothes.
"I mean, I could, but I think I'm going to choose not to," Gabriel smirks as he says. He snaps, his clothes automatically dry. Smirking at Kira still, he says, "I love you, Kira." Gabriel yawns loudly. "I'm sleepy," he says resting his head on Kira's shoulder. She runs her fingers softly through his long hair.
"I thought angels didn't sleep?" she asks quietly, an admiring smile on her face. "At least that's what you and Cas told me." She keeps running her fingers through the angel's hair absentmindedly and kisses the top of Gabriel's head.
"We're not supposed to be able to get sleepy," Gabriel interrupts his sentence with a yawn, "but I do for some reason." He smiles slightly. Kira stops running her fingers through his hair. His golden eyes look up at her as he tells her, "Keep doing that thing with my hair, please. It feels good."
She smirks at the angel and replies, "Will you make my clothes dry?" She holds her hand above his head to taunt him. "Please?" she mocks, giving Gabriel the puppy dog eyes he'd given her earlier.
Crowley appears standing before the duo. His suit drips with blood. "No. No. No." he keeps repeating to himself quietly.
