Comfort in an Unexpected Place Ch. 4
A/n: Here is Chapter 4. Sorry for my nonexistent presence. I got re-interested in some other fandoms and kinda forgot about this one. I won't keep promises but I'll try to update somewhat regularly from now on.
Zoom's POV
"Hey guys!" I exclaimed excitedly. That shower really helped me pick up my spirits.
I observed as everybody (except Kytren) as they made their faces at my bruised face. Hey! Its not my fault I didn't think so far to bring coverup with me!
Kyrosis and Krylox was resembling a fish, which was actually quite funny as I whispered that fact to Kytren. He glanced at their direction and snorted.
Kyburi…. First looked a bit shocked this then changed into an angry look which made me shrink back a bit.
And Krytus stared at me emotionlessly. What a surprise.
Oh well. "What's for dinner? I'm hungry!" I exclaimed.
Krytus rolled his eyes at me "We were waiting for you."
"Really? As flattered as I am, you really didn't have to." I responded. What am I doing? I barely set foot in this place for more than a couple of hours, and I am already trying to piss of the leader. I'm terrible. I chortled to myself.
I saw Kytren, Krylox, and Kyrosis snicker and amusement flash past Kyburi's eyes before I turned my attention to Krytus's narrow gaze at me.
"Do not sass me, boy. Or I'll revoke dinner privileges." Krytus ordered.
"You are going to revoke my dinner privileges? You are going to deny me my food? How could you! I can't live without food! Food is my life! Why is everybody so mean to me!" I cried dramatically as I made fake tears come out of my eyes.
By now the whole room was filled with laughter while Krytus glared dangerously at me.
"Alright, alright, I am done being a drama queen." I muttered, while wondering if I should be worried for my well-being.
After shooting me a final glare and a mutter something about a sarcastic smartass he motioned for everybody to follow him to where I assumed was to be where we were going to eat our dinner.
Krytus's POV
What did I do to deserve a sarcastic and sassy child? I rubbed my forehead as I lead the group to the dining room. Dinner consisted of slugs, salads, and steak. The slugs obviously wasn't for the human and I snorted in amusement as I heard Zoom muttering about how he'd rather starve to death before eating a slimy slug.
I broke into a smile as I heard Kytren retorted "And I for one, don't see how green flimsy leaves and greasy meat can be more appealing than a big tasty slug."
"How is that slug tasty?" Zoom snorted. "Its just a big slimy blob that probably taste as bad as a rotten batch of eggs….. or worse."
"Do not insult food fit for the king." Kytren glared at Zoom
"And you're a king? Last time I checked the high and mighty King was Krytus." Zoom snarked back.
"Do not mock me boy!" I butted in, offended. "I am a great leader." I muttered.
Zoom stuck his tongue out at me before he sat in front of the plate that held his human food. I turned my gaze to Kytren who had a dumbfounded look on his face. Kytren never teased or talked like that since the war between the blue sentients started…. Is it because of that human?... hmmm..
"Krytus… "
"Yes, Kyburi?" I raised my eyebrows at her.
"What are we going to do with Zoom when a stormshock opens?" Kyburi inquired.
"Valid question. What are you planning to do with me when you guys are kicking my team mates asses. I mean seriously. How do you think they'll fare without their scout with them?" Zoom asked.
"…. Don't they have that guy with the funny accent and the big drill guy?" Krylox put in.
Zoom's gaze turned to his food and looked as if he was going to burst into tears. Everybody started glaring at Krylox.
"What? I was just asking!" Krylox muttered defensively.
And here I thought that we successfully cheered the brat up. I groaned.
"I don't know… its not like we can bring him along… we can only stuff five vehicles into one stormshock. Looks like he'll have to stay here." I mused.
"Do we trust him enough to wander around the stronghold by himself?" Kyburi asked.
"I promise not to break anything… and I doubt I would even bother trying to sneak behind your backs. I don't give a damn about the 'safety' of earth. S'not like they need me to help them anyways." Zoom muttered.
I glanced worriedly at Zoom before setting my gaze on Kytren. He looked at me as I looked back and forth between me and Zoom before he nodded at me.
"It's decided then, Zoom can stay here during the storm shock. And Zoom?" I said.
"Yeah?"
"Betray my trust and I'll throw your ass in the shadow zone and leave you there." I threatened.
Zoom paled and nodded.
Kytren leaned over to Zoom and whispered something in his ear before they both got up and left the dining area. Soon, the rest of my team followed.
A/N: Holy shet that took forever for me to update… I only just got my motivation back. I wanted to write another fanfic for another fandom but I realized that I wasn't being fair to my fans that I am neglecting. Sorry guys. But face it. I am a horrible updater. That and I am procrastinator extraordinaire. I procrastinate off everything. Literally. Even sleep. Oh well. Gonna be some action next chap and prob some more kytren and zoom moments. You'll see~
