Well, this certainly is fun. So a while ago I vowed to take this story all the way threw to the end. I also vowed to take this story to 50 chapters. And I will. I remembered how much it sucks when one likes a show, or a book, and can't wait for the next only to find out it's been canceled.

So I vowed no matter how disheartened I feel, how much I want to give up on a story, I won't won't for the sake of everyone reading it.

Now without further adue. I, Sabere Commander, give you Chapter 20 of Alpha and Omega A Twist of Fate.

Alpha and Omega "A Twist of Fate"

Chapter 20 "Last of a dying race"

It was a 5 hours have past when the incidents of last chapter took place. Walking down a trail was a lone grey wolf. His name was Humphrey. After walking for a few minutes under the blazing heat he collapsed. He laid there unmoving for a few minutes. Then in an instant a grey blur darted across the trail. When it had left the trail Humphrey was gone.

Somewhere not to far off from the trail was a cave. In it were at least 20 wolves. One looked older than most. He was sitting atop a rock over watching the others smiling.

"Sir?"

The wolf turned around from his spot and saw a wolf with a white face and a black scar across his face. "Yes Hutch, what is it?"

Hutch continued "Sir one of our patrols fond another wolf out right now."

"Who is it? A lone wolf?"

"Worse sir. It's Humphrey."

He then got a look of surprise to his face before this thought passed through his head. "Crap. we forgot to tell him HEAT started today and about this place.". "Well take him to the cooling bay."With that Hutch hefted the wolf to the bay...

After a few minutes Humphrey woke up. When he stood up his head felt dizzy. He looked around only to find every time he turned his head there was an afterimage trail. A wolf walked in and said "Hello Humphrey." Humphrey smiled a weak smile before collapsing.

"HUMPHREY!" Was the last word he heard before blackness shrouded his world.

For how long it was black Humphrey couldn't tell. To him it felt like eternity. He lost all sense of time and feeling. After what seemed like a conceivable amount of time everything was bright again. He looked around and he was in a strange room...

It was circular. It had huge pillars in it. Each had huge banners hanging down from it. each one with a different symbol on them. One was to the left, of the main banister, and had a gold symbol shaped like and 'A' and red as it's back ground with a gold trim around the red background.

To the right, of the main banister, was another with a symbol shaped like an incomplete 'O' with to lines coming out at the base. The 'O' was silver and the background was blue. Like the red back ground of the other it shimmered when light hit and darkened in the shadows. It also had a silver trim around the primary blue color.

Humphrey looked towards the part of the room with no pillars. It was flat and slightly indented back words. at the center was a huge banister. It had, what looked like, 'E' on it. The 'E' was weird. If one were to look at it from the front it looked white. If you were to look at it from an angle to the left; it was gold. From an angle at the right, silver. The background was purple and had white trim. There was to quiet streams of water coming out to the left and right of the banner.

Suddenly a weird swoosh sound was heard. Out from the left wall of the indention. Two wolves ran out of it followed by, what looked like 5 humans. One wolf was black and the other was grey and white. It matched Humphrey's coat except it was much brighter. They ran right through him and to to a balcony he hadn't noticed. He turned back and saw the humans also had wolf tails; but bore golden armor. Then one, that he presumed to be the alpha of the group, shouted:

"My liege! We can only hold them off for a few minutes!"

The black wolf by the balcony shouted back "Understood! Thank you..."

"No need for thanks my liege. It's what we are here for. To Live, serve, and even give our lives to make sure the Epsilon family doesn't come to an end..." Silence enveloped the room. "Alright men! Let's give them hell! For the king, Queen, and our prince!" The lasted part he shouted as 2 more warriors followed him into the room they just left.

Humphrey turned his attention back to the couple by a huge pod the appeared on the balcony. "When the hell did that get there?" Screamed his mind. He walked closer and to his surprise found it open with a wolf pup inside. It had the same pattern as him; but had purple eyes.

"Be safe my child." Said the female clearly with tears in her eyes.

"Yes my son. You are the last of us. The last Epsilon. We can only hope were you go will be peaceful unlike here. We shattered that long ago..."

The father fell over in pain. Two of the warriors went to help to him; but he waved them off with his paw. "No I'll be fine... Please... Zachi-ael... Re-vella... Take our son... Take him to... a... better place..." With that he fell over not moving.

Cut to outside the palace...

Out side the man that was leading the massive battle had been stabbed though his stomach. He fell to the ground on the steps to the large palace behind him. Coughing up blood. He was about to be decapitated when a spear went through then man standing over him. The man turned into black flames and dissipated.

A female warrior ran over and flipped him on his back. Holding his head on her knees. She took his hand as blood was trickling out his mouth... She had tears in her eyes.

"Come on, Eric. You've made it through worse!"

He pulled her head down beside his and whispered "Long live our son..."

Then blue lights burst from his eyes as his body slowly evaporated and a bright white loght emerging from his body following a dimmer blue light pillar in the sky.

The Balcony...

The two warriors climbed into the cockpit of the small pod. as a blue light shot by. They knew what it meant. It always happened the same way. When ever an Epsilon died a blue pillar of light would appear granting them access to ascend into heaven.

The mother said her last goodbyes to her child before saying something that shocked Humphrey. "Goodbye... I will always love my son... I love you... Humphrey..."

Then the doors by the banner across the way burst open as creatures in red and black armor ran at the door over Humphrey closed and the ship flew up about 15 feet before ascending into the clouds.

6 Minutes earlier...

Outside on the Palace steps...

The female warrior sat there crying. In front of her was a pile of ash that had been her-unofficial-mate. the only one she would ever love. Epsilons mated for life. Then just as quickly as he had disappeared in her arms she was stabbed through the chest by another creature shrouded in black with black and red armor.

It kicked her into the pile and left to continue the slaughter of her people. She sat there die not making any sound as she saw a pod fly into the sky. She muttered one thing as blood trickled down her cheek...

"Be safe my son..."

Back in the palace...

Humphrey turned and saw the wolf female wolf fall to the floor without fighting. Before every thing fell into a black abyss...

Woah! Bet you didn't see that coming! Also I'mjustlikeHumphrey you were close and I was a little worried me putting the description of the warrior would give it away. Luckily it didn't now a lot of you are thinking what relevance does this have to do with the story? Well you'll have to leave more reviews than last chapter got if you want to find out! If anyone can guess the relationship between those warriors and the wolves I'll put next chapter out with in 24 hours of that review!

Until next time! Sabere commander out!
