Chapter 24

"Complete Humphrey vs Enhanced Andrea"

The weird hybrid smiled. He waited for her response. His eyes were purple and he had a muscular frame. He smiled with his tail moving in the wind. She only growled in response. The 2 stood there in a showdown, until she cracked a smile, confusing him until he heard a twig snap behind him. He immediately cart rolled right, narrowly avoiding the minion's spike shaped arm. When he stopped and pulled out his sword he was kicked in the face spinning him back; before he faced them again.

Andrea closed in fast along with her minion. The minion reached him first and lunged it's arm with claws on it at him. He caught it with his sword and kneed it in it's stomach; before slicing off it's claws. He followed up with an elbow, to the face, sending it stumbling back. He went to charge it when he was blind sided by something soft and furry. Next thing he knew he was against a tree that had fallen over from his impact.

The others watched on in horror as their savoir was just launched into a tree; breaking it into two upon impact. The werewolf, girl, thing, was strolling up to him along with her minion following her. She smiled and started sharpening her claws. They saw the wolf being stand up from his wreckage and face them. Before he could reach his sword the 2 dashed forward delivered a nasty combo. The minion slid down and kicked up his chin while the female did a double drop kick to his gut sending him flying further back.

She did a back flip and landed perfectly. She smiled at her work; before she took notice of his sword still embedded in the ground. She grabbed the handle and and it glowed silver; however it soon stated to sizzle and burn her. She dropped the sword clutching her paw in pain. There was steam coming off it. When she looked at the sword it looked bright as ever. she growled; but before she could do anything she heard a screech!

She turned back towards her minion. Only to see it was being held up by the warrior's paw. With a sickening snap, it seased moving and hung there, until he threw it to the side. It didn't burst into flames or anything. Just sat there... lifeless... She growled and went to charge him; but he beat her to it and jumped, kneeing her in the the face, before using his free right leg to propel her back. He used the momentum to do a back flip and land in a bowed position.

Growling she resorted to the last thing she wanted to do. She pulled he hands together as a translucent black sphere grew over them. She spread he hands far apart and smirked as the orb did the same. When she stopped it followed suite. Except in began to thin out and take the form of a weapon. When it finished forming it was a scythe she had in her hands. It was almost as tall as her and had an evil look to it. She smiled again and dashed toward him and swung her scythe at him. He managed to jump out of the way in time. She had not only improved her power; but she increased her speed as well.

When he landed he ran for his sword. If that weapon was as powerful as it appeared, then it would have no problem cutting him clean in half. Before he could reach the sword he rolled to the right; narrowly avoiding a huge scythe blade. By the time he stood up she had swung it at him already. He ducked under it only to be kicked in the face and roll backwards to avoid another slice.

When he stood up again he leaned back to avoid another slash then followed suit with the same tactic for the next slash. On the third he changed tactics and jumped over it. When he came back down he landed on the blade and kicked her away from him; doing a back flip in the process. He instantly ran towards his sword and dived for it. when he landed the scythe flew over his head. He, using quick reflexes, stood up, grabbed the scythe, and used it's momentum to fling it back at it's owner.

The blade flew back at her and she didn't move. Right before it hit her she caught it by the blade with both hands. She then threw it into the air. He followed with curiously, only to see when it was near the ground, she had disappeared! All of the sudden it jerked towards him. He leaned back as it missed him by less then an inch. He spun left to avoid the same scythe slamming into the ground where just was. He was panting hard; where as she didn't even look winded.

She charged him and he the same. When they met in the middle she swung, trying to cut him in half, and he leaped over her like when the bout started. He turned swinging his sword and ended up clashing with her scythe. The two entered a power struggle before, finally, jumping away.

"So, what else ab out you has improved? You'r sanity is certainly not one of them..." He mocked.

She smiled before jumping towards him. He saw this coming and spun out of the way. He stopped and use the butt of his sword to tap her spinal cord as she passed by. When she landed her body started twitching. He tightly gripped his weapon and walked over towards her.

"Agh! What... what did you do to me!?" she shouted, while struggling to stand up, in vain.

"I messed with the electrical signal path coming from you'r brain. when ever to try to do something the message will get scrambled and you'll just twitch." He said as he continued towards her. He twirled his sword in his right hand before stopping it so the blade faced back.

However when he got closer more black flames appeared and this time they looked more so like him. Except he couldn't see their eyes; because of a black hood they all wore. One stepped over her and let his fists slack as two miniature scythes appeared. Each one was the perfect size one one hand. The both had chains leading up into their sleeves. His opponent twirled them around a little before going into a stance. Their stance was right arm, and leg, extended out in front, left leg bent, and left arm close to chest.

They both waited for a moment to strike. After a while the opponent mad the first move and dashed towards our hero. (A/N I'l just refer to him as Humphrey okay?) He threw his left one towards Humphrey, which he dodged with ease, but just as Humphrey looked up he was jumping over him with his chain trailing behind. Humphrey knew what this meant; but failed to react in time as he was instantly yanked away. The hooded being grabbed his weapon and spun left and added more momentum to Humphrey as he was slammed into another tree. He managed to stand up only to be punched in the face, followed by a round house to the cheek. The assailant put his boot on Humphrey's chest preventing him from standing and pointed his weapon at him. They were in a stare off before the hooded being turned it's head towards the others. Almost as if they were talking. It then looked back at him and allowed it's eyes to flash blue before it walked away. When it joined the others they picked up Andrea and were engulfed in one massive wave of black flames. When they disappeared Humphrey blacked out...

Kate, and any wolf that was still standing after the ordeal, ran over to the warrior, only to be shocked and confused, when they saw it was a beat up Humphrey and a man with a wolf tail lying side by side. Both had bruises in the same places which, to say the least, was weird. Both had a bruise on their left cheek, a black left eye, and a little bit of blood coming out of the corner of their mouth.

Even thought most wolves were shocked by the human, they all understood they couldn't kill him. They needed him alive so they can figure out who the warrior, that saved their tails, was and what they had to do with him...
