Chapter 11

Aria stood in the doorway to the theater as the students watched the play that was taking place. She could not bring herself to go into the actual theater part not after what happened in New York even though she had been cleared by the police long ago for self-defense, it was too much for her as she still felt guilty of Shana's death. After all those years she felt as if the night had just happened and she wrapped her arms around herself hoping if she held onto herself the memories from that night would go away. It wasn't working and she started to go into a panic attack.

"Come with me"

A voice whispered inches from her ear. Aria recognized the voice instantly and left with him. He took her hand and led her down a few corridors before ending at one that had a sign on it: Fitzgerald Family Lounge. Family ONLY. He opened the door and led her into the room. It was one of the most beautiful rooms Aria had ever laid her eyes on. Plush chairs were spread around the room and the deep reds and golds that colored the room gave off a feeling of royalty and luxury. Books and playbills lined the shelves and a small tv stood propped on a table in the corner gave off soft music playing from a dvd that was in it.

"We can stay here until the show gets over. It ends in about an hour"

"Thank you. I couldn't stand there anymore knowing what I did in that room" She said looking at the man that stood before her.

"You are lucky to be alive Aria and so am I, you did it to save yourself and your friends"

"Yea, but I killed a girl who will never get to grow old and have kids and grandkids of her own."

"If you hadn't defended yourself none of you would have had the chance to do any of that either" He grabbed her head between his hands and made her look him in the eye. "If you hadn't done that what I did for you wouldn't have made a difference because the love of my life would have been dead and our child as well." Aria lifted his shirt and rubbed the edge of her thumb on the scar that was still on him from the bullet wound.

"I am so sorry Ezra"

"I don't want you to ever say you are sorry again"

He grabbed her and kissed her with as much passion as he could muster. Aria deepened the kiss as he picked her up and laid her onto a couch in the room. Soon Aria was unbuttoning his shirt before she could even realize what was going on and they made love without any second thoughts as to what they were doing and what was going on while they did it. They did not care they had enough built up passion that it did not matter, all that mattered was that they were doing it together. An hour later Ezra was peeking out the door as Aria fixed her hair and makeup in a mirror that was in the far corner of the room.

"Ok I will count to fifty after you leave and then I will" Ezra said as he shut the door and looked at Aria who smirked.

"You know what I think it is about time I get the honor of counting to fifty while you leave."

"If you wish" He crossed the room and kissed her quickly. "Do I still get the honor of your presence tonight or is that still off?"

"Yea you do. I will meet you at nine in the lobby"

He smiled and left the room leaving Aria to stand there and think about what had just happened. Just twenty-four hours before this Aria was telling him they could not keep doing this to themselves and now here she stood acting like a love sick teenager all over again. She did not know what to do anymore all she knew was that Ezra Fitz had to be involved in it.

"Where have you been?" Emily asked as they got onto a different bus then Ezra. "And why is your hair a mess?"

"I had a panic attack and Ezra led me to his family's lounge area to cool down and he stayed there with me. Nothing happened" Aria lied without looking at Emily.

"You two seriously need to make up your minds either you are together or you are not together."

"It isn't the right time yet"

"Well can you two make up your minds? Half the town of Rosewood is wondering when you two are going to get together and the other half is wondering when you are going to tell everyone Lilia is Ezra's considering her last name is Fitz and not Montgomery."

"Emily please just give it a rest ok? When he is ready he will ask and I will answer until then stop with the questions."

Emily huffed and rolled her eyes taking out her cell phone to text Alison. It did not take long for the bus to get to the hotel and the students disembarked quickly. Aria practically sprinted upstairs to her room to start to get ready for her date with Ezra which was only an hour away. Finally giving into Emily she told her under utter secrecy that her and Ezra were going out on a date tonight. Smiling Emily more than happily helped Aria pick out an outfit to wear with him on their date. It was a short sleeveless red dress that resembled the one that Aria wore on her and Ezra's first official date to an art gallery that she paired with her black cardigan and a pair of black pumps. Emily quickly helped her with her hair pulling it into a loose curled bun and applying minimal makeup.

"He is going to have his hands all over you" Emily remarked and Aria just blushed wanting to spill what had happened between her and Ezra at the theater, but she did not. "Go have fun I have got you covered."

Aria smiled and gave her best friend a hug before running out the door to meet Ezra in the lobby. She was nervous as she rode the elevator down a few flights of stairs that would lead her to him. It had been years since her and Ezra had gone on a date and Aria did not know what to think or what she would say or do with him all she cared about was that she was finally with him going on a real date. As soon as the elevator doors opened she walked out and made her way to the lobby. He smiled as he stood there in Aria's favorite black suit that he owned holding a bouquet of her favorite flowers.

"You look so beautiful" He said as he handed her the flowers and kissed her.

"Thank you" She replied once he pulled away and they began to walk to the doors. "You look handsome as well." She smiled as she saw a town car pull up and the driver open the door for them. "Where are we going?"

"Up town for a late dinner and show" He smiled as the pair got into the car. "They are playing your favorite black and white movie."

"You truly are amazing Ezra Fitz"

"No that would be you Aria Montgomery"

She smiled and just laid her head onto his shoulder as the car pulled away from the hotel. They were only a few minutes late to the start of the show so they quietly went in and sat at their secluded booth in the back of the restaurant. It didn't matter and they did not care and they talked in low whispers throughout the whole show finally getting to know what the other had been doing over the past eight years. Aria learned that Ezra had thrown out the book he had written eight years ago and instead published the one Aria had read about their love story. He had written it about their love in hopes that Aria would read it and come back to him or at least know how much he loves her.

"The dedication was amazing" She told him as he smiled. "When I read it I knew it was for me"

Aria leaned in and kissed him knowing how much he loves her was more then she could hope for. When she pulled away he smiled and they continued to talk until the movie ended this time it was about her. He took her hand and the two of them left for their hotel. She frowned when they finally got there and Ezra could tell how much she did not want to leave him so he led her to the elevators and they went up to his hotel room which he had rented on his own money so that he did not have to share with Noel Kahn the only other male teacher on the trip.

"Stay with me tonight"

"I can't what about Emily?" She asked knowing that Emily would probably care less about it and would probably care more if she came back to their room tonight instead of staying with Ezra.

"I am one hundred percent sure that Emily would want you to stay with me"

"Then it is settled. Ezra Fitz you have a roomie for the night"

"So princess theme?" Spencer asked Lilia as they walked into another interior decorating store in downtown Rosewood.

"And lots of pink and glitter" Lilia exclaimed as she ran for the children's section of the store.

"Well then this is not the child anyone would expect from Aria Montgomery and Ezra Fitz" Spencer remarked as they followed her. "It is more of a Hanna child anyone would expect."

"She's girly what can I say?" Aria joked as Lilia walked around trying to decide what bed she wanted.
