Chapter 12

The next day they found themselves sleepily heading towards Spencer's house with an excited Lilia in the backseat. It was the day they were to pick out the furniture and other stuff for her bedroom and she was beyond excited practically bouncing up and down in her seat. When they finally reached Spencer's they greeted her at her door and they all got into her car agreeing that hers was bigger and therefor more likely to fit more stuff should they buy anything that did not have to be delivered. Stopping at the coffee shop Spencer went in to grab everyone coffee and Lilia went with her not wanting to stop talking to her about what she wanted in her bedroom.

"Ok I don't care what anyone says I draw the line at a pony being in her bedroom" Aria said turning from her seat in the front to look at Ezra with a stern gaze.

"Oh come on she would love that" Ezra joked as he unbuckled and scooted forward so that he could be closer to her while they waited for Lilia and Spencer to come back with the coffee.

"I mean it Ezra you can't spoil her too much or she will be a brat when I say no"

"Aria I would never do anything that would make you upset in how I parent her. I told you we are in this together now so we are a team and a team works together. Besides I do not want to clean up after a pony I thought she would prefer a puppy better."

"What do you mean Ezra?" Aria asked as Spencer and Lilia came back with their coffee.

"You shall see" He said as Lilia opened the back door and climbed in a frozen drink in her hand.

"That little girl coned me into buying her a frozen strawberry tea"

"She acts just like her father then"

Aria remarked as Spencer drove off and everyone laughed. It was a nice day for everyone as they went to and from different stores in Rosewood letting Lilia run wild in them picking everything she wanted with the help of Spencer to make sure everything would flow and look good together. Before long the entire back half of Spencer's car was full of everything that Lilia wanted that did not have to be delivered, but she could not decide on a bed so the dag drug on before they finally reached the last store in Rosewood that sold furniture and interior decorating items. It was probably Spencer's favorite store in town and they knew her by name there.

"So princess theme?" Spencer asked Lilia as they walked into another interior decorating store in downtown Rosewood.

"And lots of pink and glitter" Lilia exclaimed as she ran for the children's section of the store.

"Well then this is not the child anyone would expect from Aria Montgomery and Ezra Fitz" Spencer remarked as they followed her. "It is more of a Hanna child anyone would expect."

"She's girly what can I say?" Aria joked as Lilia walked around trying to decide what bed she wanted. "Wholly cow this bed costs more than my car" Aria remarked as she saw the price tag of the bed that Lilia picked out. A huge carriage bed that was fit for a Cinderella movie. "Are you sure you can afford this Ezra?"

"I have more money than I could ever use so why not spend it all on my daughter?" He replied with a smile as Spencer placed a red tag on it signaling to the store that they were going to buy it.

"I am really liking this un restrained budget" Spencer said and they all laughed at her. "It's true. I have never had a client who says go for it have fun just tell me how much I have to pay just no real furs or leathers or Aria might kill me."

"Aww how sweet you knew I would kill you if you killed an animal so that you could sleep on his fur"

"Well besides my daughter you are my number 1 priority" He smiled and looked at her as Lilia and Spencer looked at drapery. "So how do you feel about going to Georgia for the holidays?"

"What do you mean?" Aria asked confused at what he said.

"My dad owns a house down there and I would love for Lilia to get to know the rest of her family on my side."

"I don't know. Let me think ok?"

"Sure, but it would mean a lot to me"

He smiled and took her hand into his not caring that Spencer would think the two were together; all he cared about was Aria and Lilia. When Lilia turned and saw her parents holding hands she couldn't contain he squeals and Aria just giggled and followed her over to the drapes that she had picked out with Spencer dragging a disgruntled Ezra behind her. She had to give him credit Aria thought he had put up with all this girly shopping all day without blinking an eye until now; it felt good to spend time as a family together even if Spencer was with them.

"Are we done?" Ezra said as he swiped his debit card at the desk in the shop.

"Yes all that is left is for you to give me a go date on when renovations can start." Spencer said grabbing the bags and walking out with them.

"Tomorrow!" He said looking at her with a grin. "They could start today if they could."

"I will contact the crew tomorrow and set up times for everything. We should be finished in about eight to ten weeks with my estimates"

"How much money will it take to speed up the process?" He asked as he got into the backseat with Lilia.

"Twice the crew, twice the money, half the time" she replied as she started her car and started the drive back to her house.

"I will write the check tomorrow"

"Seriously Ezra how much money did your mother leave you?" Aria asked looking at him from the front passenger seat.

"Enough that Lilia's college education is paid for twice over and then I still have plenty more" He replied with a smile knowing it was killing Aria to know how much he was spending on all of this.

"Spence you will tell me how much he paid right?" Aria begged and Spencer gave her a side glance while shaking her head.

"No Aria he made it clear in the contract that the firm can't tell a soul."

"You can tell me because he wouldn't sue the firm if it was me because I would hold out on him"

"Hold out on what?" Spencer asked her curiosity picking up a bit.

"Hold out on visits" she lied easily slumping back into her seat a little annoyed that Spencer knew how much he was spending and she didn't get to know. "Let me out"

"Huh?" Spencer said as she slowed to a stop at a stop sign.

"Thanks. I just saw something. I got to go. Ezra take Lilia to your place I will pick her up in a few hours." And without waiting for their answers she jumped out of the car and ran towards the mystery man.

"Ezra this is bad" Spencer remarked as they sat behind a tree watching Aria talk in a rapid pace to someone.

"Well we got to know what she is up to"

"We don't. You do" She said annoyed as Lilia got out of the car and walked over to them.

"That is Dustin"

"You know him?"

"Kind of" she said as she tossed a stick around clearly bored. "He came over all the time when we lived in San Francisco."

"Was it your mother's boyfriend?" Spencer asked not allowing Ezra to.
