Hmm… well, it has been a while, hasn't it? No need to respond, that was rhetorical.

Big shout-out and congrats Doglover645 for guessing the reference. Boq's line about seminars was from Phineas and Ferb, specifically the Christmas episode where the deliver Santa's presents for him.

As soon as his class was over, Fiyero bolted out of the room to meet Elphaba. The hallways whizzed past him in a blur. He finally reached the classroom, panting and out of breath. He was about to reach for the handle and open the door, when Elphaba slowly walked out.

"Yero?" she asked, staring at her older brother. "What are you doing here?"

"I… walk… see… you… ah!" Fiyero said, trying to catch his breath.

"Breathe, Yero. Breathe!" Elphaba said, slowly rubbing circles on his back.

"I'm… okay… now," Fiyero said, gasping as he stood up straight. "Are you alright?"

"Yero, we've been apart for forty five minutes," Elphaba said dryly. "Of course I'm alright."

"Good. Because I wouldn't want anything to happen to you," Fiyero said, kissing her nose.

"In political science class?"

"You never know."

Elphaba rolled her eyes. "You're impossible."

"I know."

Reaching into her bag, Elphaba pulled out her schedule.

"What class do you have next?" Fiyero asked, peaking over her shoulder.

Elphaba held her schedule against her chest so Fiyero wouldn't see it. "I have History, and you have someplace else to be."

"I can walk you there," Fiyero offered, wrapping his arms around her waist.

Elphaba pulled away. "I'm going to walk to history by myself and you are not going to follow me."

"Fae-"

"No."

"But-"

"No."

"You-"

"If you say one more word…"

"Okay, okay!" Fiyero gave in. "Just… be careful."

"Goodbye, Yero," Elphaba said, giving her brother a small smile before walking away.

"Bye," Fiyero said, watching his sister walk down the hallway. Once she turned the corner, Fiyero slowly started to follow her. He turned the corner and jumped back, startled to see Elphaba standing there, waiting for him.

"Mmhmm," the green girl hummed, giving her brother a disapproving look. "I knew I couldn't trust you to leave."

"Fae –"

"Yero, I know you're worried about me," Elphaba said. "But I'm not a little girl anymore. I'm not helpless and I'm feeling better. I can go by myself."

"I promised Mom-"

"I know you promised Mom that you would take care of me, but I can take care of myself now."

"Fae-"

"Yero, please?" Elphaba begged.

"A-Alright. You win," Fiyero caved.

"Thank you," Elphaba smiled.

Fiyero turned and started walking away when Elphaba called him back.

"Will… will you walk me to class?" Elphaba asked shyly, looking down at her shoes.

"You really want me to?"

"Yes. As my brother. Not as some caregiver."

"Of course, Fae-Fae," Fiyero smiled, taking Elphaba's arm and walking her to her History class.

"How was your day, Elphie?" Galinda asked as led the emerald princess back to their room.

"Fine," Elphaba smiled.

"Did you make any new friends?"

Elphaba shrugged. "I met Nessarose Thropp, the Governor of Munchkinland's daughter."

Galinda smiled softly. Unlocking the door and pushing it open, she gently led Elphaba into the room.

"How was your day?" Elphaba asked, sitting down on the edge of her bed.

"Simply Ozmazifying!" the blonde giggled, bouncing over to her dresser and retrieving her nightgown. "Do you need any help, Elphie?"

"N-No, thanks. I should be fine," Elphaba said, slowly pushing herself to her feet.

Galinda rushed to her side and took her arm. "Are you sure?"

Elphaba nodded confidently. "I'm sure."

Frowning, Galinda reluctantly let go of Elphaba's arm. Smiling, Elphaba grabbed her nightgown and made her way over to the bathroom. She came out a few minutes later, dressed in a silky, white nightgown. She frowned when she saw Galinda standing in front of her, a pill bottle and a glass of water in her hands.

"I don't need that," Elphaba said, trying to move past the blonde.

"Not according to this note Fiyero just slid under the door," Galinda said.

Elphaba frowned. "I don't need to take those."

"Come on, Elphie. It's just one pill."

"I said no."

"Why not?" Galinda challenged.

"No one else has to take them." Elphaba angrily turned towards the blonde. "Why should I?"

Galinda was silent for a moment. "Elphie, please. Just take these."

"No."

"Elphie-"

"You can let me go to bed without taking them."

"I can't."

"Why not?"

"I promised Fiyero…"

Elphaba looked up at her. "You promised Fiyero what?"

"N-Nothing."

"No. You were about to say something. And I want to know what it is."

"Elphie, it's nothing," Galinda whispered. The green girl was getting angry, and Galinda didn't like it one bit.

"Tell me!"

"Elph-"

Elphaba cut her off. "Did Fiyero tell you to take care of me?"

Galinda remained silent, avoiding her friend's eyes.

"Galinda, did Fiyero tell you to take care of me or not?"

"No," the blonde whispered meekly.

"Don't lie to me," Elphaba growled.

Galinda jumped back, scared by the green's girls hard glare. "Elphie, please…"

"Answer me!"

"Yes," Galinda whispered. "Okay? Yes, Fiyero did ask me to look after you."

"I can't believe him," Elphaba growled. "I told him that I'm not a baby! I can take care of myself!"

Galinda slowly stepped over to the green girl and lightly touched her shoulder. "Elphaba-"

"No! Don't touch me! I hate you! I hate you, I hate Fiyero, I hate everyone!" Elphaba sobbed, jerking away from the blonde.

"I'm sorry, Elphie. But I'm not taking care of you just because Fiyero told me to. I'm doing it because –"

"Shut up! I don't want to hear it!" Elphaba snapped. "I bet this is why I'm rooming with you and not anyone in my own year. So you can look after me like some nanny."

"Elphaba!"

"You are not my mother! You cannot tell me what to do and you cannot make me take those pills!"

"They're just pills! They're not gonna bite you! Just take one and get it over with!" Galinda frowned, holding the bottle and water to Elphaba.

"No, I will not!" Elphaba snapped, pushing the water away, causing it to spill on the blonde's nightgown.

"Elphie, I'm –"

"Don't call me that! I hate you! I never want to see you again! I…" Elphaba suddenly stopped. Her hand flew to her chest as she crumbled to the ground, wheezing.

"Elphie? Elphie!" Galinda cried, sinking to the floor next to her. "Oh, Oz! Elphie!"

With one final wheezed breath, Elphaba collapsed onto the floor, unconscious.

"ELPHIE!"
