*clears throat* so I know you probably have virtual tomatoes in your hands waiting to pelt them at me. I apologize. It has been a while.
Sorry if you thought I was abandoning the story.
BUT I'm not, so YAY!
DISCLAMIER: I OWN NOT A THING!
"Hey nerd!" Sam exclaimed as soon as Freddie open the door to his apartment.
"What are you doing here?" he asked stepping into the hallway with wide eyes.
"Talking to my friend, what does it look like?" she said
"How do you know where I live?" he asked those honey brown eyes still open wide.
She chuckled, "When you're Sam Pucket, you know people," she explained and Freddie tried his best not to look sacred. Was someone stalking him?
Sam simply smiled at Freddie's expression. It's been a while since she genuinely smiled.
He cleared his throat before trying to form words. He honestly just didn't know what to say.
"What's that in your hands?" he asked nodding to her hands that seemed to have books and paper.
"History homework. That you will be doing for me,"
Freddie opened his mouth to protest but Sam was quicker. She quickly yelled out a bye and piled the papers and books into Freddie's arms. Which he thankfully caught and then she left. Just like that, leaving poor Freddie with a mouth wide open to catch flies.
After about five minutes Carly came into the hallway digging in her bag for her keys.
She noticed Freddie and gave him an odd look.
"Hey Freddie," she said pulling out her keys.
"Carly," he managed to stutter out. She smiled and nodded to his pile of work, "What's that you got there?" she asked.
He fumbled for a while before answering "Homework"
She raised an eyebrow at him, "Don't you do homework inside?" she questioned more confused than ever
"Yeah, yeah. You do," he answered and looked around a bit before spotting a plant, "I had to look at a plant for you know, biology," he said gesturing to the plant.
"That plant's fake," Carly pointed out
"It's comparing a fake plant to a real one," he covered and she slowly nodded
"C'mon Carly, you know bio," he said before opening his own door and heading inside leaving a confused yet amused Carly behind.
"Done," Freddie said as he dropped all of Sam's homework on her lunch table. Sam broke away from her conversation with her friends and cocked an eyebrow at him
"A three hundred and fifty word essay on why slavery was inhumane," he said and Sam suddenly remembered what he was talking about. Before she looked at him like he was some alien that dropped suspicious goo on her table.
"You paying this geek to do your work?" a friend, Maurine, asked
"Pay?" Sam snorted the same time Freddie said it. They looked at each other weirdly.
"Please, Mama just asked, and it's done," Sam said leaning back in her chair getting some hi-fives.
Asked? Freddie thought, more like dump.
Sam and her friends continued their pervious conversation ignoring Freddie's presence. Freddie rolled his eyes and began to walk away when Sam called him
"Hey Benson!" she called.
"Yeah?" he asked turning around, 'Thanks' she said and winked at him. Freddie couldn't help the smile that appeared on his face he nodded and made his way to his table, where his friends were.
"You weren't 'looking at fake plants yesterday'" Carly smirked as soon as he sat down beside her.
"Shut up," he blushed.
He glanced at Sam and saw her looking at his direction just not at him. He noticed she looked a little cross-eyed at Carly, not really paying attention to what her friends were saying. When she caught Freddie looking at her she rolled her eyes and turned away.
He was confused but continued to eat his burger.
"You wanna impress her," Carly teased.
"Please, all ladies are impressed by Freddie Benson," he said going to lean back but the problem was, the chair had to back so her fell to the floor brining his water down with him.
The entire café turned to look at him and laugh
He snuck a look at Sam. She looked as though she was trying real hard not to laugh. He could only imagine the type of comments going through her head.
It could've been worse, he reminded himself, could've been milk.
Freddie was walking down the hall on his way to chemistry when a hand popped up of the supply closet and pulled him in. He let out a high pitch scream and his breathing become unsteady and then he saw who the person was
"Dude! You gotta stop popping out of thin air like that!" he exclaimed to Sam who just laughed. After a few minutes her laughter died down and then she saw his expression and went into another fit.
"Okay, okay," she said
"What do you want?" he asked irritated now
"Look," she smiled, "There's a party at Maurine's house tonight. Will you be there?" she asked a tiny, hard-to-miss hopeful glint in her eyes, that she quickly masked as quick as it came.
"Sorry, I wasn't invited," he said.
Sam huffed and rolled her eyes before groaning a long groan.
"I'm inviting you," she explained gesturing between the two of them.
"Oh, well um, okay, I guess," he said nodding his head
"Cool," she said smiling
"Wait, it's a school night," he said
"You'll be alive tomorrow," she winked
"Wait, why are you inviting me?" he asked
She struggled for an answer for a few seconds, "Because, you don't seem like the type who goes to parties a lot, I wanna change, make you live a little, loosen some screws," she said smiling one last time before walking out the closet leaving Freddie to think over her words.
Did you like it? Sorry if it sucked.
