Chapter 5

~Supernatural~

"Dean," he said. "What's going on? Why are you in New York? Who are these people? Are they Angels?" Castiel was confused, while everyone was staring at him. He didn't know anyone aside from Sam and Dean. Why were they all in New York? Why did they seem so concerned? Was it the Angels? Had Bartholomew sent someone to track them down in order to get to him? Cas made his way slowly towards the group. He hadn't seen the brothers since their run in at his last job, a convenience store, he was happy to see them.

Dean looked at Sam, the boys looked just as confused as Cas. Sam shrugged. Dean opened his mouth, trying to find the words when he found them he said, "No, they're not. They're 100% human… Well except for Vincent." The elder Winchester jerked his head towards Vincent. "He's some sort of man-made beast."

That cleared some things up. "I see…" Cas nodded before he paused to collect his thoughts. "After I left the convenience store, I took a bus going anywhere. It came here...I used what money I had earned to rent a room in a motel. I've been looking for work...but have not been successful…"

Dean stepped forward. "Cas… I woulda called-"

"I understand, Dean. You have been busy…"

Sam noticed the confusion appearing on their companions' faces. He turned to them to clear it up. "That's Castiel, he was an angel, long story short. He's saved our asses on a number of cases," he told them.

"So you're the angel I've heard so much about." Vincent smirked as he walked up and extended his hand towards Cas.

Cas looked at Vincent's hand, still unfamiliar with the human ritual of shaking a person's hand. He grasped Vincent's hand and looked up at him, not knowing what to do next.

"You shake it, dude." Dean coughed, helping Cas out.

Cas looked over at Dean. "Do you have a cold, Dean? I think I may have some of those tissue things in one of my pockets…" he said as he let go of Vincent's hand and began to search his pockets.

Sam sighed and Dean looked like he was trying to stifle a laugh. "I'm fine," Dean said grinning. "I've missed you man…"

"Okay, now that the bromance has been restored, can we seriously get the hell out of here? Dark Woods, creepy vampire thing running around...I'm not going to lie...I'm a little creeped." JT said loudly as he grabbed the group's attention.

Cas furrowed his brow, a little confused. "You're hunting a Vampire?" he asked.

Sam nodded. "Sort of, we'll explain on the way back to Vincent and JT's place," he said.

"Oh…" Cas said.

Dean smiled and started walking towards the Impala. "Let's go then."

"Uhhh...not to be Mr. Obvious here but…" JT started as he jogged ahead of Dean to stop him from walking, "Based on the number of seats, someone is going to have to find another way home because you hunter freaks, the angel-boy, me and the beast will not be able to fit into that car."

"Fine." Dean said. "Then I vote you off of the island."

"No way, Jose!" JT argued. "I'll have you kn-"

Before JT could finish, Vincent cut in, "I'll stay behind." Everyone looked at him so he added, "I want to wait for all of the officers to leave for the night so I can get a better scope of the place. The less people around, the better my skills are. JT, you go with the Winchesters and Cas." Vincent turns to look at Catherine, "Did you, Tess and Gabe come in the same car?"

"No." Catherine replied. "Tess and I came in my car while Gabe arrived in his. Why?"

"That works out perfectly." Vincent smirked. "Tess, do you mind going back with Gabe?"

"As long as I get shotgun, I'm cool with whatever." Tess shrugged before she and Gabe started walking off to his car.

"Now, Catherine and I will stay here until we have the woods to ourselves. Does that sound like a good plan?" Vincent asked.

"Sounds good to me." Dean shrugged before he started walking again. "Come on guys, let's get back to the lair so we can catch up on some good R & R."

"R & R?" Cas cocked his head in confusion.

"Don't worry about it." Sam shook his head as he urged Cas and JT to follow suit.

The four guys made their way back to the Impala and got in. After they were all situated, Dean started Baby and they drove back to the Gentlemen's Guild. Just moments after they arrived, Tess and Gabe pulled up. Dean smiled and was going to say something to Tess, but after she gave him a look of distaste, he decided it would be better if he kept his mouth shut. JT unlocked the door and entered the Guild, flipping the light switch by the door as he entered.

"Something doesn't feel right," Sam said as the rest of the group made their way inside.

Cas furrowed his brow and looked around. "I agree," he said with a worried expression. He feared that some of Bartholomew's cronies might have caught up to them.

"It's about time you showed up," a British voice sounded from the back entrance. JT jumped, dropping his keys, while everyone but Cas and Gabe drew their weapons, aiming towards the dirty blonde haired male standing in the doorway.

"Klaus," Dean said gruffly. "What the hell are you doing here?"

Klaus smirked. "I wasn't expecting such a large group," he mused as he glanced at each of the people standing in front of him. "Are you going to let me in?"

"JT don't move and don't say a word," Sam said as he moved with his brother closer to where Klaus stood.

JT was confused. "Why can't I move? And why can't I talk?"

Dean sighed. "Because, Jar Jar, Klaus has to be invited in and since you own the place, you're most susceptible to his manipulative ways."

Klaus crossed his arms and leaned on the doorway. "I can stand here all day, though I would prefer to do this business inside."

Cas stepped forward to join Sam and Dean, he took out the Angel Sword he kept hidden in his jacket and gripped it tight. "I remember hearing a lot about you when I was in purgatory, Klaus. The things you have done...are unforgivable," he said. "Why are you here?"

Klaus sighed. "Where's Vincent?"

Tess moved closer, her gun still aimed at the Original Hybrid. "What makes you think we'll tell you?"

Klaus straightened his posture. "Because, I was supposed to meet with him, but instead I get a former angel, two washed-out hunters, a biochemistry professor, an insolent DA and a snarky cop," he said dully. Castiel opened his mouth to ask how Klaus knew about him but he was cut off. "Yes Castiel, I know all about you."

Dean couldn't take this. Klaus was wasting their time; they had better things to do other than arguing with Klaus. "Why are you here?" he pressed.

Klaus sighed. "I can help you with your case."

"With a track record like yours, how can we trust you to help us?" Sam asked. Everything the younger Winchester had read about Klaus had the same story. Someone trusted him and either ended up dead or was betrayed. Sam didn't want this to take the same turn.

"Because we're looking into the same thing," Klaus replied. "You're looking for whomever took the hybrid, as am I. You want to know what they want with the hybrid, so do I. You have bits of information as do I. We can help each other, but if you refuse...you will get nowhere and I'll be forced to take drastic measures. Now we wouldn't want that, would we?"

Sam and Dean looked at each other then to Cas who shrugged. This was a difficult decision. None of them trusted Klaus, and most of them knew what he was capable of.

Gabe stepped forward. "Might I offer a suggestion?"

Before the Winchesters and Castiel could answer, Tess and JT interjected. "NO!"

Dean smirked and turned back to his brother and friend. "What do you think?"

Sam shrugged. "He could be useful…If we keep an eye on him, we might be able to come up with an arrangement," he suggested.

Cas nodded. "We should invite him inside, listen to his proposal, or at least wait till your new friend returns," he agreed.

Dean nodded and turned to JT. "Invite him in," he ordered. "But if he makes one wrong move, we'll have dead man's blood, vervain, and wolfsbane running through his system before he can say a word."

"Well, you could try." Klaus chuckled under his breath.

Dean and Sam rolled their eyes. "You haven't heard of our exploits with vampires have you?" Dean asked. "Go on JT, let him in."

JT gulped. "Are you sure?"

"Just do it!" Dean spat as he pointed to the door.

"Fine," JT threw his hands up in defense. He looked at Klaus and stuttered, "Y-you c-can c-come i-in."

Klaus grinned and entered casually. "Thanks," he said as he plopped down on the couch. "So when will our beasty return?"

~Beauty & the Beast~

~Meanwhile...back in the woods…~

Vincent leaned his back against a tree as he heard his girlfriend walking away from the crime scene. She had been talking with the CSU team for thirty minutes and finally, her conversation was over. As much as he wanted to make an appearance, it was too risky. Even though he's free to walk in the open, he still cannot risk anyone other than Catherine from seeing him use his abilities. So, for the past several minutes, he had been hanging back in the trees and listening to his surroundings including Catherine's conversation.

He could sense Catherine was standing in front of the tree behind him and could feel his skin heating up as her fingers softly brushed against his."CSU is al-"

"-most done. I know." Vincent finished his girlfriend's thoughts as he absentmindedly laced his fingers with hers. "I kind of eavesdropped on your conversation."

"Did you listen to everything?" She wasn't angry. She expected him to listen in on her conversations-especially the ones concerning her special cases.

"Pretty much…" Vincent replied. "Once everyone has cleared the area, I'll be able to thoroughly investigate the crime scene and see if I can pick up on a stronger trail."

"So you think your flashing will be more clear if you're closer to the crime scene?" He heard Catherine mutter under her breath.

Without thinking he leaned over and looked at her as he gave her a rather amused look. "Flashing? Let me guess, JT made that one up?"

"Actually...It was me." Catherine replied with a smirk.

"You're spending way too much time with JT." Vincent chuckled and leaned over to give her a quick kiss before hiding behind the tree again. "But really," he smiled even though she couldn't see him, "I love that you're giving my abilities pet-names. It kinda turns me on."

"Vincent," Catherine muttered, "Focus."

"Riiiiight." he laughed as he yanked her around the tree and pinned her against its trunk. "However, we don't need to focus until those damn officers disappear." Before she could say anything to stop him, Vincent hungrily crashed his lips against hers. Even though his eyes were closed, Vincent could feel the irises in his eyes burning like fire. She seriously has no idea what she does to him. He trailed his lips down her jawline and feathered kisses along the base of her neck. She wrapped her arms around his neck and started nibbling on his earlobe.

In seconds, he pulled himself away from Catherine and stared into her eyes. "You're right...we should probably focus." He knew that if he got too carried away, his beastly side would get the best of him.

"You said it yourself," Catherine whispered seductively, "We don't need to focus until the officers disappear."

Vincent smirked. "You do know what you're implying, I hope."

"Depends." Catherine replied as she started walking further into the woods. Then, she turned around and added, "I wonder...just how wild can a beast be when he's making love within his natural environment."

Vincent looked back and noticed that the officers were still going to be at least two more hours so he grinned and quickly caught up to her. He grabbed her by the waist and yanked her closer to him as he said, "Not sure. I think we're going to need to test that theory out, Miss Wildcat." In seconds, Vincent swooped her into his arms and ran to the other side of the woods-far enough where Catherine's co-workers won't be able to hear anything. It was certainly turning out to be a very interesting day.

~Supernatural~

Dean paced back and forth, phone to his ear. He had volunteered to call Vincent to tell him to get his ass back to the Gentlemen's Guild. Klaus sat smirking on the couch; Sam and Cas stood with their arms crossed, staring at the hybrid. Tess was sitting comfortably on a stool at the bar, next to JT who seemed more worried about what Klaus would do than anyone else. Gabe sat in a chair across from Klaus, looking at him as if he were trying to figure out what made the Original Hybrid click.

"Come on, dammit… pick up your phone…." Dean muttered as he hit the end button once more then redialed the number. He looked back over at Klaus who in turn looked at him. There was a glint of mystery in the hybrid's blue eyes, but there was more impatience in that look than anything else.

"Can't reach him?" Klaus asked suddenly.

Dean glared at him. "He'll pick up. They're probably busy looking around for evidence. So calm your blood-sucking ass down."

"I don't appreciate being spoken to like that, Dean," Klaus responded. "I'm an Original, show some respect."

Sam scoffed. "You're a hybrid who's killed God knows how many people. You don't deserve respect from us."

Klaus chuckled. "You're one to talk, Sam Winchester. I've seen your rap sheet. You've got about as much red on your ledger as I do."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Sam asked, quick to answer.

"If I recall, there was a time you had no soul." Sam's eyes widened and Dean glared defensively at the Original. "Yes, boys, I know of that. I also know that it was Sam that started the Apocalypse and that he was meant to be Lucifer's vessel. I know that Sammy used to drink demon's blood and was the one that has always been accountable for your mother's death."

Dean had rushed over to Klaus and held him against the wall, his gun in the hybrid's face. "How do you know any of that, you bastard? HOW?" he demanded through clenched teeth. Sam made his way over to them and stood behind his brother.

Klaus smirked deviously. "I have my sources." That was it. Dean had enough of this guy and slammed his fist into the hybrid's face. Klaus just chuckled and Dean punched him again and again and again. Klaus took the beating rather well, though.

"Dean," Sam tried to stop his brother, but the elder Winchester did not hear him. "Dean." Again Dean ignored Sam and continued to beat Klaus. "DEAN!" Gabe jumped up and rushed over to the brothers and the hybrid to help Sam pull Dean away from Klaus.

Klaus straightened himself and brushed some blood from his nose. "Someone's a bit protective," Klaus looked at Sam. "Honestly I thought you would have been the one to attack."

Sam hardened his expression. "Just stop," he ordered.

Tess and JT were staring at the others. "Wait a sec… There was an apocalypse?" Tess asked. "When did this happen?"

"It didn't… exactly," Cas explained. "We stopped it before it completely happened."

JT looked at Sam. "What was that other stuff he was talking about? Sam not having a soul, being a…. vessel? For the devil? And demon blood? What the heck is all that about? Why didn't you guys tell us this earlier?"

Dean rolled his eyes. "What were we supposed to say? 'Hi I'm Dean and this is my brother Sam. He used to not have a soul and drink demon blood. Oh yeah and by the way he was Lucifer's vessel. Can we help you take down a bunch of crazies?'"

"And I thought ourissues were messed up." Tess muttered but Dean easily caught it.

"That's our life. We get the cards we're dealt and that's that," he said. "I'm going to go cool off and try to get a hold of Vincent again." He said as he walked to the door, pulled his phone out and exited the building.

Dean dialed the number all the while thinking about what had just happened. Everything with Sam, he had tried to stop, try to make Sam see that he was in the wrong. He had tried to protect Sam as well. Especially when Lucifer had possessed Sam. He hated Klaus for bringing all that to the front. The others probably wouldn't trust him and his brother now, thanks to that bastard.

He put the phone to his ear and waited for Vincent to pick up. By the third ring, he heard Vincent's raspy voice answer, "Hello?"

Still frustrated and thinking about the incident and other more recent personal issues, Dean felt warm tears forming in his eyes. He sniffled and wiped his eyes. "Hey Vincent, it's Dean. What's going on up there? I called you like 8 Billion times."

"Oh...uh…" Vincent's voice faded and Dean waited for his answer, "I was a bit...preoccupied. Anyway," he coughed and quickly added, "I'm here now. What's up?"

He smirked. "Nice," he said, trying his best to disguise his troubles. "Anyway we've got a bit of a situation. Remember Klaus? Yeah, he's kinda here right now and being as annoying or more annoying than Crowley. So if you two could get your asses here before I figure out some witch juju that I can use to kill him, that'd be great."

"Crowley? Witch Juju? Am I missing something here?"

"Who's that?" Dean heard Cat's voice jump in as Vincent immediately answered, "It's Dean...Apparently Klaus is at the lair and he needs us to come back."

"Well we can't! We're busy!" Catherine added close to the phone.

"Just put your clothes back on and get back here. The bastard is getting impatient."

"Did he just-"

"Woah, Dean," Vincent cut his girlfriend off, "You've got the WRONG idea! Besides, the CSU team hasn't left yet!"

He sighed. "Just...get here, we've got bigger fish to fry."

"Okay...just...just hold your horses. We'll be there as soon as we can."

Dean smirked. "Okay, just don't hop back in the ring." Before he hung up, he could have sworn he heard Cat say, "I'm going to kill him! I'm going to kill him." He chuckled a bit. Still thinking of previous events he closed his eyes and took a couple of deep breaths before re-entering the building.

Eyes were on him as he made his way over to the refrigerator and took out a beer. He popped the cap off and took a swig as he came around and leaned against the bar. He saw everyone staring at him. "What?" he snapped.

"They were just wondering if you were able to contact Vincent and Catherine," Cas stated. "And if you were alright. Sam and I filled them in."

Dean nodded. "Right. They're on their way...or should be." He took another drink from his beer and looked around the group and noticed Klaus was not present. "Where's Klaus?"

"Sam told us to put him in the pantry," JT said.

"We dowsed the door with Holy Water and Vervain, as well as lined the doorway with wolfsbane," Sam explained. "I thought it'd be best to keep him out of the way for awhile."

"Even if it works...for all we know, he could be one step ahead of us and this could all be a part of his evil plan." Tess stated, causing everyone to look at her. "What?" she stood up, walked closer to the group and threw up her hands, "Come on, does the Estrogen have to think of everything?! Do you honestly think an ORIGINAL VAMPIRE would be so easily detained by the likes of you freaks?"

Dean looked at his brother. "Did you inject him with dead man's blood?"

"Yeah," Sam answered.

"Then we have nothing to worry about," Dean said with a smirk. "So, how did you get him in the closet?" He looked at Tess with a sort of smoulder.

"What?" Tess grimaced, "Why're you lookin' at me like that? It's not like I smacked him in the face with a frying pan and stuffed him in the closet with my hair!"

Dean furrowed his eyebrows. "What the hell are you talking about?"
"She's…referring to a Disney movie…" Sam replied quietly.

Dean turned around and looked at his brother. "You watch Disney movies?"

"It was when you were in Purgatory, I sort of had a girlfriend… she wanted to watch it," Sam explained.

Dean laughed. "I think you've gone soft Sammy!"

Sam shook his head. "Nope, it was her idea Dean."

"Right, what ever helps you sleep at night."

"I hate to break up this brother bonding moment, but…we kinda have a FREAKIN' ORIGINAL VAMPIRE LOCKED INSIDE MY VAULT! I'm sorry but I really don't want to be the one listed at the top of the bloodsucker's dinner menu!" JT interjected as he started pacing about.

"Relax, I think he'll cook you before he eats you, I'm not sure he likes raw biochemist," Dean joked as he took another swig of his beer.

"And that's supposed to reassure me?!" JT raised his eyebrow. "He could be plotting ALL of our deaths as we speak!"

Dean laughed. "He can try," he said. "He won't succeed. Sam, Cas and I have come back from the dead God knows how many times. The universe wants us here, for sure. So good luck, Mr. Bottom-of-the-Food Chain."

"Whoa now," Gabe suddenly said as he held his palm up into the air to stop Dean from speaking any further, "You guys aren't the only ones who've died and lived to tell about it. I was shot in the chest enough times to leave a mark!"

"Oh look at you tough guy," Dean said sarcastically. "Tell me… How was hell? Or purgatory? Or heaven? Did you have a nice vacation?"

"I was a beast," Gabe replied, "My hell was on Earth."

Sam smirked as he sat down on the couch. "Come back to us when you've been stuck in a cage in hell with Lucifer and St. Michael arguing about who's God's favorite. Or traveled to Heaven to get help from an angel named Joshua in order to stop the apocalypse."

"Or been to Purgatory and chased by Leviathans who want to kill you...again," Castiel added.

"Jeez, you guys have been through Hell, haven't you?" Tess said as she looked at the guys from the bar. "You guys make it seem like this whole murky scenario is a piece of cake!"

"I prefer pie," Dean said with a wink at Tess.

"Which you still haven't gotten for me!" JT crossed his arms and glared at the older Winchester brother.

Dean shook his head and muttered. "Not this again."

Suddenly, the door opened and Vincent and Catherine walked into the lair. "Uhhh...Are we interrupting something?" Vincent asked. "I could hear you guys arguing from the car." He raised his eyebrows and shifted his weight onto his heels as he looked at the Winchester brothers. "Have you seriously died that many times?"

"It's a bit of a weekly occurrence for us," Sam explained.

"It's a hobby," Dean shrugged.

"It's not the greatest feeling I've ever experienced," Cas added.

Dean smirked. "No, that was that reaper you had sex with."

Cas looked at Dean and smiled. "She was amazing."

"She was hot…" Dean said dreamily.

Sam chuckled and shook his head.

Tess rolled her eyes and looked at JT, "And these are the guys the world trusted to end the Apocalypse? Tell me I'm missing something here."

As JT shrugged, Vincent and Catherine immediately shot their glances back at the hunters. At the same time, they said, "There was an apocalypse?!"

Dean threw his hands up in the air, still holding his beer, and walked towards Vincent and Catherine. "And we've come full circle!" he chuckled.

"Long story short, there was. We stopped it, I went to hell, lost my soul, came back, got it back, Dean when to Purgatory, we tried to close the gates of Hell, I almost died, got possessed by an Angel who healed me, he left and now we've trapped an Original hybrid in the vault," Sam explained. "There, you're all caught up." Sam walked over to the bar and grabbed a beer before tossing another bottle to his brother.

"Thanks." Dean replied but then furrowed his brows. "I thought it was a pantry?"

Sam shrugged. "Me too, but JT said it was a vault."

Dean raised his eyebrows and nodded. "Hm."

Sam looked at Dean and muttered, "Dean, whatever you're thinking, keep it to yourself." If there was anything Sam knew about his brother, it was Dean's active dirty mind. When they weren't at 'work,' Dean's mind was mostly in the gutter. Over the years, he had learned of the many faces of Dean Winchester and the amused smirk he currently wore on his face was a HUGE indicator that he was thinking something kinky.

The elder Winchester smirked. "Bitch," he mumbled.

"Jerk," Sam replied.

"Anyway," Cat interrupted the brotherly moment of endearment, "What are we going to do about Klaus?"

A bang came from the vault. "Yes, what are we going to do about the Original Hybrid?" Klaus shouted. "I vote let him out."

Everyone turned towards the vault and Dean said, "I thought you gave him dead man's blood?"

"We did. He's an Original, Dean. He probably reacts differently to it," Sam answered.

Dean sighed. "Right. JT, let him out."

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Catherine asked as she turned back towards the group. "I mean, he did threaten my boyfriend a few hours ago."

"I agree with Catherine." Vincent stated as he pulled his girlfriend closer to his body. "I think...we should come up with a plan first and then deal with Klaus afterwards." Vincent quickly leaned over and kissed the top of Cat's head and then continued, "I mean, what do we have to lose if we leave him locked in there for a few more hours?"

"Uhhhh...our heads?" JT replied and pulled out a beer out from under the bar counter. "Besides, I might not be Buffy the Vampire Slayer but I think making a plan first would be reckless. It doesn't take a biochemist to know that Klaus has super-hearing. I mean, after all, he does have super juices running through his veins-if he even has veins. What I mean to say is…maybe we should hear him out?" He shrugged and everyone looked at him.

"At last! The one with the brain has finally come to his senses!" everyone heard Klaus exclaim from the vault but no one paid attention to him.

"Are you serious?" Cat cocked her head and stepped away from Vincent as she placed her hands on her hips, "JT, he may be a superbeing of some sort but he isn't like Vincent. For all we know, he may be planning to kill everyone of us that has no purpose to whatever he's planning."

"I'll have you know," they heard Klaus speak again, "If I wanted you dead, love, you would have already been so." The moment he called Catherine 'love,' Vincent's eyes shifted to a golden hue but Klaus didn't seem to care. "Besides, it would be futile to make an enemy out of Vincent when I need him for my plans. So, for now," Klaus paused, "let's let bygones be bygones, shall we?"

"Fine," Vincent said, defeated and brushed his hair back. "If anyone is going to let him out, it's going to be me. At least I have a chance against him if he tries anything rash."

Dean took his gun from his belt and a clip of wooden bullets from his pocket. He clicked it into place and cocked the gun. He stepped up behind Vincent. "I've got you're back."

Sam followed his brother's example and did the same. "We've got your back."

JT slowly walked up behind the Winchesters and loaded his tranque-gun, "Dude, whatever happens, this baby is loaded with enough juice to put to sleep three V-clones. So, if anything, it should be enough to induce a nap for any supernatural creature."

Dean and Sam looked at each other then back to JT. "Are you sure you were never a member of the Ghostfacers?"

"Like I've said for the bajillienth time: I don't know what the hell you two are talking about." JT rolled his eyes but then focused on his best friend. "You've got this, man."

"Thanks." Vincent nodded and turned to Catherine. "Hey, you, Tess and-God forbid I include him- Gabe, go upstairs and stay safe."

"What do you take me for?" Catherine raised her eyebrow and pulled out her gun from her holster and aimed it at the vault. "I'm a cop, remember? I laugh at the face of danger."

"That's what I'm worried about…" Vincent mumbled softly.

"Be careful though," Catherine added quietly.

"I will." Vincent nodded.

"We've got this, darlin'" Dean said. "Just step back and let the pros handle this."

Sam smirked and took an extra clip of wooden bullets from his pocket and handed it to Catherine. "These'll work better than a regular bullet...If you're staying… that is."

"Oh, thanks." Catherine replied as she took the bullets from Sam.

"Hey!" Tess suddenly interjected as she walked up to the group with Gabe following from behind, "What are we, chopped liver? I've never shot a vampire before but what the hell? I've shot a beast once so how hard can a bloodsucking freak be?"

"I'm flattered," Klaus laughed devilishly, "I've never received so much attention within my own family before."

Dean looked at Tess. "Cas, get her out of here until we know for sure that Klaus isn't going to rip out our throats once we let him out."

Castiel made his way over to Tess and took her arm. "I think he likes you… Let's go."

"Hell naw!" Tess ripped her arm away and walked up to the front towards her partner, "If Cat's in this, so am I! I can't let her have all of the fun, now, can I?"

Dean rolled his eyes. "Fine then. Cas there's a machete in my bag by the door, give it to Tess," he instructed. Cas did as he was told and handed the weapon to Tess. However, much to Dean's dismay (and Cas's), Tess gently pushed the ex-angel's hand back.

"Sorry but do I look like I'm a laborer from the Sugar Cane fields in Puerto Rico? I don't think so. Besides, I'm better with a gun. Cat's boyfriend can attest to that. So...I'll stick with my guns and you, angel boy, can use the machete." Tess replied and also pulled out her weapon of choice before cocking it.

Dean smirked. "Machete's are better against Vampires...and I wouldn't trust Cas with that thing…"

"I wouldn't trust me with that thing either," Tess sneered. "I might get a little swing-happy and who knows, I might just miss and slice your head off instead."

Cas chuckled. "I think she's flirting with you Dean."

There was a bang on the door of the vault. "If you're going to let me out, do it already and stop with the sickening love fest!" Klaus exclaimed with annoyance. "If someone doesn't open the goddamn door, we'll be doing things my way and I'll kick the door down myself. Oh, and if that happens, I cannot promise you what I might do. For all I know, I might just decide to have an afternoon snack. We wouldn't want that, now, would we?" Klaus was certainly getting impatient, that much was clear.

"V, open the door!," Sam ordered as he and his brother raised their guns, pointing them at the door.

Slowly, Vincent crept towards the door, ready for anything to happen. "I'm opening the door now, Klaus," he said, "So I'm going to take a leap of faith and trust you to behave yourself. If you attempt to do anything out of line, we'll lock you back in here and you can forget about having anything to eat for the remainder of your stay. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes, yes," Klaus replied, "Just open it already."

"Fine." Slowly, Vincent twisted the lock and slowly pulled the door open. Almost immediately afterwards, Klaus zips out of the vault in a blur of speed before anyone could stop him.

"What the-where the hell did he go?!" Dean shouted, severely pissed off. "He was just right there!"

"I think it's time we play things my way, for now." they all heard Klaus's voice echo from behind them. Everybody turned around and saw Klaus's arm locked around Gabe's neck. Dean and Sam tried to run towards him but he held his hand up and said, "I wouldn't do that if I were you." The brothers stop in mid-stride and the hybrid continued speaking, "Now, listen to me very carefully because I'm only going to say this once: If I see anyone take a single step away from their current stance, I won't hesitate to rip the DA's head off."

No one moved.

"Now that I have your attention, let's get down to business, shall we?"
