Chapter 20
As Rogue sat down at her usual spot at the table for Sunday breakfast, in between her brother and Kitty, she grinned as her roommate blushed and focused on her food. But before she could tease the girl like she had the night before, Kurt leaned over and asked, "When were you going to tell me?"
It took a moment for her to remember what Rose had told her the night before, and realize he was referring to Wanda's pregnancy. "When she began ta show," Rogue whispered back, not wanting them to be overheard.
Nodding his head, Kurt said, "I plan on telling the Professor and Mother after breakfast, would you…"
Rogue smiled at him. "Ah'll be there," she assured him.
With that the two began to eat, as others drifted into the dining room for their morning meal.

Meanwhile, at White Owl, Rose was gently rubbing Wanda's back as the other girl knelt over the toilet.
Leaning back, Wanda groaned, "I hate morning sickness." She looked over at the woman that was doing so much for her. "I don't suppose you have anything that can help me."
Rose smiled sadly. "Sorry, but no. Morning sickness is something we haven't even found a cure for," she explained.
"Well that sucks."
The witch chuckled as she helped her friend stand. "Come on, I'll make cinnamon French toast for breakfast."
Wanda grinned happily. The only thing better than Rose's homemade cinnamon French toast was her sinful chocolate delight, a delicious desert involving chocolate brownies, filled with creamy chocolate ice cream, and topped with hot chocolate fudge, flakes of shredded milk chocolate, and with Marciano cherries.
Sadly, her recipe for sinful chocolate delight was viciously guarded by the witch. Though she did assure Wanda that, at least her method of cooking, was impossible without magic, and she'd make it whenever Wanda felt really down.
Still, Wanda was really looking forward to the French toast…at least until twenty minutes later, as the smell began drifting around the room.
This found the pregnant mutant leaning over the toilet bowl once more, and Rose sighing as she vanished the meal, not wanting to set of Wanda's vomiting once more. She just hoped Rogue was having a better morning.

"Would you please repeat that," Mystique almost demanded.
After breakfast, Kurt had told the Professor he had something he wished to discuss with both him and Mystique. They, along with Rogue, went to the professor's study for some privacy, and Kurt had, apparently, decided to blurt out the, suddenly not so cheerful, news.
Kurt gulped at the hard look his mother was giving him. "Vanda's carrying my child," he said, his nervousness causing his German accent to become much stronger.
"Wanda Maximoff?" the elder woman asked her son.
He nodded.
Mystique sighed, closing her eyes and pinching the bridge of her nose.
The Professor meanwhile looked at Rogue. "May I assume that you were already aware of this development?"
The brunette fidgeted nervously. "Ah was," she admitted. Deciding Kurt was in enough trouble, she added, "Ah actually knew before Kurt did?"
Xavier sighed, and looked back over at Kurt. "I don't believe I need to tell you how disappointed I am that you have behaved so irresponsibly Kurt," he said, his tone firm, though not harsh. "You are still welcome here, however. As is Wanda," he added.
"She's livin' wit' Rose," Rogue supplied. "Considerin' how Rose is helpin' her, Ah don' think Wanda will be movin' in."
"That's fine as well," the older man told them. "May I ask, however, if this will affect your involvement with the team?" he asked, directing his question to Kurt.
Kurt shrugged. "I still want to be an X-Man Professor, but…I would like to get a job.
"That is very responsible thinking Kurt." Xavier sat back in his chair for a moment. "Let me make a few calls, I believe I may be able to find you a job that will overlook the…sometimes random absences."
"Thank you Professor."
"Does Magneto know?" Mystique asked, finally joining the conversation.
"I…I don't believe so," Kurt answered.
Before either of the adults could comment, Rogue supplied, "He doesn't," she assured them. "Wanda hates Magneto fer putting her in tha asylum, an' has no desire ta have him in her child's life at all. But once she starts noticeably showin', Ah think it's ah safe bet her brother will inform him."
Xavier sighed, "I believe you're right." Shaking his head lightly Xavier continued, "We will deal with that when the time comes. In the meantime, it is of course your choice whether or not to inform the others Kurt. But I believe this news would be better received coming from you, rather than Wanda's appearance."
"Of course professor."

Rose covered her mouth, trying to resist the urge to barf as she watched Wanda eat.
After the French toast incident earlier, Wanda had just dove into their fridge and cupboards, and pulled out several things, making her own breakfast. And the anchovies (which she kept mostly as special treats for Hedwig), slathered with sour cream and tabasco sauce made the witch want to make a trip to the bathroom herself.
"I cannot believe you are eating that," Rose said frankly.
The mutant shrugged. "Neither can I," she admitted. "But it taste real good."
Deciding not to discuss the topic with the other woman, and put off of her own appetite, the witch stood up from the table. Despite closing the store on Sundays, she could still do some work, namely creating more products. And though it wasn't really needed, it was preferable to watching Wanda's strange cravings. "I'm going to go work on some things for the store."
Wanda gave her a strange look. "Aren't you going to eat?" she asked.
"After watching you eat that, I'm not sure I'll ever eat again," Rose said, before walking to her potions lab.

I apologize for the long wait. I have no defense aside from my muse taking a holiday. I also know this is short, but I hope getting it out gets my muse churning, especially since, depite it's shortness, I do like what I've written, I just hope you do as well.
