5 DAYS TIL CHRISTMAS
"Parade is today!" Imogen lept happily into the kitchen as everyone sat down for pancakes at the table. Everyone but Sean who was still asleep. Emma took him as not a morning person.
Izzy bounced in her seat excitingly too as Mia smiled and helped her up then poured some syrup on her plate.
"Izzy settle down before you choke." Lucas told Izzy who shoved her food in her mouth, knowing when she finished they could go. Just like her Dad somedays.
"Wait, so where's Craig?" Manny whispered to Emma and just, couldn't get over this. Craig and Spin were great together!
Jay couldn't help but sneak glances at Manny and whisper to Spinner, "Whose Craig?"
Spinner swallowed hard and just shrugged as if he didn't know and crammed pancakes into his mouth.
Emma whispered something to Manny who spoke out loud, "But I liked Craig alot." Pouted Manny and Spinner heard and kicked her under the table. Jay curiously watched Manny and then looked down. Maybe it was her boyfriend?
"Lets not talk about it." Spinner bitters.
"Want some syrup?" Jay casually passed it over to Manny and Emma, as Emma was about to take it, Manny blew up.
"No, Jay! I don't. I want Craig." She blurted out and then shut her mouth. Ok so maybe she was being mean to Spinners new 'boyfriend', she just didn't see what the two had in common. She thought Craig was great for Spinner. Jay was... was... "Sorry." She quickly said and then shut her mouth up with apple juice.
"Ouch." Spinner whispered to Jay who just blinked, confused.
Sean finally came in and even Imogen stopped and stared. Stopping from her bouncing around the kitchen finally! Sean's body was all for show until he tossed a grey hoody over himself and walked to the kitchen..
Tracker looked up from his newspaper and greeted, "Morning."
Sean just tiredly nodded and sat down next to Emma. Purposely or ... ? Emma felt butterflies. Damn it. This was way too soon, way too confusing. She hardly knew him!
"Emma!" shrieked Spike, sitting down at the table "I was just talking to Kelly's mother this morning at the market, and she thinks it's amazing your back right now because so is Kelly. He also has as much time off of school as you. Maybe you two could hang out!? wouldn't that be fun!"
Emma suddenly felt sick, and both Spinner and Manny stopped eating. Emma grabbed her dishes and stood up, "No mom, it wouldn't be." She threw them in the sink and left.
Sean sat where he was and watched her go until out of sight. That didn't look good. As Lucas let out a big burp, the family went back to loud commotion. Sean took this time to quietly get up and go after Emma. Emma went to the basement and as Sean was coming down, she was setting up the pool table to play. It was hot in the basement so Emma took her sweater off to her jeans and tank top.
"I believe you need a second player in order to play that." Sean teased, but Emma didn't look in the laughing mood and focused on breaking.
"I don't need anyone." She snapped back, and shot her stick out. Two balls went in, and Sean was sort of impressed. With that, she turned and then bumped into his body. Her breathing then stopped. He leaned over her and grabbed one stick to play for himself but kept his eyes hard on hers.
"Fine. Then I'll just help you shoot the balls in." He declared.
Emma watched him lean down, eyeing a ball he planned to shoot in, and did so. She tried to hide her smile as he went for the next one. Upstairs, her parents put on some Christmas music.
In the middle of the game Sean walked around the table to get to his shot after Emma took hers, "You're actually good at this. I'm almost being beat by a girl." He leaned down with his stick and lined it up, glancing at Emma.
"This is my pool table." Emma told him with a smile.
"Yours? Really?" Sean raised an eyebrow and gave the last shot, winning. "I woulda thought Spins or Lucas'." He admitted, walking over to her.
Emma leaned on the table, and leaned a bit on her pool stick and shook her head no. He stood awfully close to her infront now and she stared up at him through her long eyelashes. He got lost in her Hazel eyes. Jesus, Tracker would kill him if he even dared, and usually the respect Sean had for him, he wouldn't try a damn thing on one of his daughters but Emma? He couldn't help himself.
"What'd he do to you?" Sean asked out of nowhere, changing the subject. This Kelly guy was curiously eating up at Sean.
"Who?" Emma played dumb, but Sean knew she wasn't. He was slowly figuring this girl out. She couldn't play games with him.
He looked serious and noted, "Kelly."
Emma looked away, almost annoyed he brought it up and tried to shrug it off, "We were high school sweethearts. You know how it is." She said to Sean, trying to end the conversation about it.
"Then whys your mom trying to push you back together?"
Emma looked at Sean and her heart actually melted, he was really... something. Looked like he really cared. She wasn't use to that with guys. Unless it was her brother and cousin Lucas.
She finally confessed, avoiding his eyes, "He hit me, not a lot but more than once." She looked down, "I didn't break up with him until I moved away to college last year... because I didn't have the guts to break up with him face to face." she finally had the courage to look up, and Sean looked unreadable, staring at her with dark blue eyes
Sean's blood actually boiled thinking about someone laying a hand on her. Was it possible Sean was falling for her? He barely knew her at all... yet felt like he did.
Sean and Emma were suddenly inches away from another and she almost shivered to how close his body was that it actually sent goosebumps over her body. He stared down at her lips and -
"HE'S A MEAN ONE! !" Izzy tore the two apart as they looked to see Izzy hopping one step at a time to come downstairs.
Emma had to laugh a bit as the little girl danced to her own song. Sean shifted a bit away from Emma and nervously scratched the back of his neck until looking at the little girl. Jesus, was he really going to kiss her? He felt his own chest pounding.
"Does your Dad know your down here?" Emma playfully asked Isabella.
"Nope!" Izzy smiled with a giggle and hugged her snowman toy tight. It was Olaf, from the Disney movie Frozen.
"Is he going to get mad?" Emma asked again.
Izzy swung side to side, pondering her answer, "Yes..." she slowly says.
"I'd run back up then." Teased Sean with a low smirk.
"Ok!" she beamed and jumped back up the stairs, one at a time again until Emma put the pool sticks down and walked up with her. Sean followed behind and grabbed the little girl, carrying her up as she giggled uncontrollably. Emma tried hard not to smile to happily, but Sean seemed so perfect. She stopped at the end of the stairs and watched him go with a look in her eyes, feeling her heart skip a beat.
Meanwhile outside, Manny was building a snow man with Imogen as Jay came out.
Manny saw him walking over and licked her lips nervously, and turned from him. She didn't know herself what her problem with him was either... or why she was so bitter.
"Want help?" Jay asked the girls.
"Sure." Imogen said happily. Manny just crossed her arms together pretending to be cold and dug her cheeks into her scarf so she didn't have to talk but he caught her glare.
Manny felt something as Jay went around her and didn't understand what it was. She can't crush on a gay guy... he's gay, hello!? Oh god, was that it? Was she jealous?
She watched him closely as he eyed the snowman and then turned red when he caught her staring and smirked. That smirk would be the death at her. "Your missing something." He told them.
"What?" Imogen gasped and asked.
Manny swallowed hard as he walked up right infront of her, her heart pounded as he wrapped his hands around her scarf... and then took it off.
"The scarf." Jay confirmed, wrapping it around the snow man.
"It's PERFECT!" exclaimed Imogen, clapping her hands together, "LET ME GO GET THE CAMERA! Stay there! No moving." She ordered and ran back inside.
Manny finally let a breath out she didn't think she was holding and moved a bit back from Jay.
"She said no moving." He teased watching her walk around the snowman.
"Funny." She simply stated with no humor in her voice.
He cornered his eyes at her and had to say it, "You don't like me very much." What was with this girl? Girls usually LOVED him!
The front door opened and out came Spinner to have his coffee on the porch and watch the snowman being built. He looked to be wearing like 3 sweaters and a funny looking winter hat that looked like a cat.
Manny eyed Jay and glanced at Spinner to back at him and asked, "So are you from Chicago too?"
Maybe if she learned about him, she'd find out how they ever got together.
"Born and raised." He answered back, cornering his eyes at her suspiciously. He couldn't help but lightly grin, she was so sassy and cute as hell. Scratch that, beautiful.
"How'd you meet him?" she questioned again.
Jay shrugged and said, "We both work construction."
Manny tilted her head confused until Imogen ran back, "OK! Smile." she confirms, running back over.. Jay and Manny just stood where they were and smiled awkwardly, "Get closer."
Manny bit her lower lip as Jay wrapped an arm around her waist... but then, it just seemed right. They both smiled beside the snowman and Imogen took her picture. The picture caught Manny looking down and blushing, and Jay looking down at her, grinning.
"I'm... going to go see Spinner." Manny told Jay and he nodded, watching her go.
He couldn't help but shake his head chuckling, this Holiday was something different.
Later that day, it was Tree decorating time. Sean was still stuck at the house due to the winterland outside and all the snow falling. But from inside, it looked pretty beautiful out there.
Sean Cameron watched in awe as Emma, Mia and Izzy decorated the tree. Emma wore a cute little dark purple and black striped strapless top. She also wore a black mini skirt and every time she leaned up, more of her long tanned legs and thighs bared even more. Let's not act like we can't see the perfect shape of her breasts that top was hugging either... or how her curves-
Sean tried looking away. God, he's never wanted a girl this badly in ever. He had to sneak a glance back before cornering his eyes at Tracker to make sure he wouldn't be caught staring. It's like he couldn't take his damn eyes off her. This was bad. Bad, bad, bad. She was too good for him. He was trouble.
He tried distracting himself and sipped the beer Tracker had gotten him as the old man watched some football on the tv. Sean wasn't into sports but he pretended to watch. Anything to not be caught by Emma, or worse... her father.
Lucas then came over and sat next to Sean and leaned over, "I see what your doin'" he told Sean.
Sean stopped breathing and looked wildly at Lucas. Oh shit.
"Your drinking the lame beer my dad gets." Lucas joked and Sean breathed out, and nodded, "We should go for some beers tonight."
"Tonight? Sure." Sean said with a shrug trying to get off this nerve wrecking subject. He thought Lucas had caught him staring at his cousin.
"Did I hear beer?" joked Jay, coming and sitting on the other side of Sean who nodded, "I'm in." He says. Sean nodded back, he took a liking to Jay, he was a cool guy.
Spinner walked into the room and Lucas snapped his fingers at him, "Hey, wanna go to the bar tonight?"
"No. I hate beer." Spinner replied back. Silence. Spinner gave them insane looks "Of course I'll go you idiots?" HOW COULD HE HATE BEER?
The guys laughed and from the tree, Emma helped pass Izzy decorations as the little girl put it up. She was smiling but then snuck a glance to the commotion on the couch. Sean seemed to be fitting in quite perfectly with the guys. She felt her heart pound and tried to look away.
By 6, every young adult was forced to watch Frozen for honestly the third time before Izzy had to go to bed. The Grinch was put on and one by one, the audiance got shorter until it was just Emma was on the left side, curled into a ball under the covers as Sean sat a little closer to her on the right.
"Movie needs changed." Emma said with a smirk, hinting he had to get up from the warmth and go change it.
Sean smirked back, but his was way more sexier, "What's your pick?" he got up, looking over the choice of movies
"My favorites always been Frosty the snowmen." Emma mummered into her blankets. Sean blinked and remembered that was his too. He snapped out of it, before putting it in.
"There." He put it in and stole the blanket from her when he came back, making her squeal and sit up more as he sat down and against the right side of the couch.
"Sean! It's cold."
He taunted her and said, "You can share." He moved the blanket off him a bit and showed the space beside him for her to go.
Emma's heart skipped a beat, and so did Sean... he didn't mean to be so straight forward, it just felt normal with her.
"Just keep your hands to yourself." She taunted, but she knew she wouldn't mind. She cuddled next to Sean a bit, both leaning back on the couch, sharing the blanket and he tensed up a bit. He tried to snicker, as if what she said was NO big deal but having her so close to him was almost torcher.
Emma and Sean woke up with a jolt. They must of fell asleep.
"I SAID LETS GO!" Lucas yelled to every guy in the house, including Tracker. The guys were going to the bar.
Emma groaned a little, her head on Sean's shoulder and they must of fallin asleep watching the movie. Sean looked down at her in admiration and then quickly reminded himself her family were few feet away. Sean softly got up, trying to not to wake her anymore and laid the blanket on her as she laid on the couch. He rubbed his face, grabbed his jacket and went to the front door. But he had to sneak one more glance at her before he left.
"Another one?" cheered Jay, on their round 9 of shots.
"I'm going to die." Spinner confirms. They sat at the Milton Bar, it was close to home so they didn't have to drive in the shitty weather. It was like a cabin inside, with sports playing on corner tvs and pool tables, along with a jukebox. The bar was coozy, not too big and not too small.
It was getting late, almost passed midnight. Yet, Tracker waved down the bartender for more.
"You can take it champ!" Tracker spoke to his son encouragingly. They were playing some cards at the table, and Jay and Sean seemed to be winning.
"No I don't want to." Spinner confirms, getting serious now as he saw somebody unwanted come into the bar.
Tracker complained drunkenly, "Come on!" he never got to have boys' night like this! He was an old married man. Okay, maybe not old. But bored! Come on!
"Dad, stop." Spinner snapped.
"What's wrong?" Tracker took the hint and turned to see who Spinner was glaring at. Kelly had come into the bar. "Oh! Well look who it is! Hey Kelly!" he greeted. Tracker never knew what went on between him and his daughter. Kelly had always been the 'best' most longest relationship Emma had.
"Dad, no." Hissed Spinner.
Sean looked between them and cornered his eyes at Kelly who was coming over. He felt that blood of his boiling. So this was Kelly? He put his cards down and tried to remain calm, but his hands under the table turned to fists. The guy looked like a rich preppy jock. He was a stick too, not a muscle in site.
"Whose that?" Jay asked Spinner.
"Hey everyone." Kelly greeted, nodding once and looking around at the table.
"How are yea?" Tracker got into conversation, and Sean couldn't sit there anymore. He stood up and needed to walk away so he ended up going to the bar. His anger was getting out of control.
Spinner finally answered Jay, rather loudly so Kelly heard, "Oh this? This is just the dick of an ex boyfriend my sister once had. Left his ass though in a hurry, like most girls.."
Kelly squnted his eyes bitterly at Spinner and Spinner got up, walking infront of him and Tracker was awfully confused, "What's going on?" he asked.
Kelly clenched his jaw. Clearly Spinner knew. "I think it'd be best to leave right now Kelly." Declared Spinner.
"Oh really?" Kelly asked, raising an eyebrow
"Really."
"I'd like to see you make me."
Jay raised his eyebrows from the table with Lucas. Spinner may of not looked very buff but compaired to this guy, they were sure he could take him down.
Tracker finally stood up as well, "Something I'm missing?" he asked. His son didn't look happy at all, and Spinner was never this serious.
Kelly taunted with a grin, "How's Emma, Spin?"
"Yeah," Spinner finally blurted out with venom in his voice, glancing back at tracker "There is something you and mom have been missing for months, Dad. This asshole abused Emma when he was with her."
"Excuse me?" Tracker asked again. Did he just hear right?
Kelly looked shocked Spinner had said it, and tried snickering and shaking it off like it wasn't true and said to Tracker, "Sir maybe you should know that your son here, is a faggot. Pure cock sucking queer." He glared Spinner in the eyes.
"Spinner!" Jay warned, grabbing him from jumping onto Kelly and killing him. The bartender looked ready to call the cops. Jay did NOT have a good history with cops.
"That's what I thought." Kelly snapped and turned around to leave.
xxSMACCK!xx
"YES! GET HIM!" Spinner yelled, still held back from Jay though. Lucas got up from the table in shock and they all watched Sean grab Kelly off the floor who had landed with a thud from Sean's punch.
4 minutes later, they finally got Sean off of Kelly. They were also kicked out of the bar..
"Oh my god! THAT WAS AMAZING!" Spinner yelled, falling out of the door first as Sean and Tracker followed behind.
"I knew you could hit kid but not this much." Tracker said with a chuckle to Sean and dug his cold hands into his pockets. He wanted a hit in with Kelly, but Sean honestly handled it all by himself, Tracker almost felt pity for the guy at the end of Sean's fist.
"What brought that on?" Jay asked, coming out after. Lucas was still inside paying for them.
Spinner wrapped an arm around Sean's shoulder, "You care about me." He joked and laughed drunkenly, "You really care about me."
"Enough." Sean said shoving him off but shook his head smiling.
"Hey Cameron." A voice finally brought them to a hault. Jay and Spinner didn't know the guys, but Tracker and Sean did. And Sean inhaled deeply, then looked back at Emma's family with worry in his eyes. They shouldn't be here for this.
Tracker grabbed Sean back and demanded, "Go." Sean was too in shock to even move.
"Who are they?" Jay asked, looking at the two big guys who crossed both their arms across their chest and the one who was bald cracked his knuckles, eyeing Sean deadly.
"Someone you can't fight with, go Sean." Tracker said more firmly and glared at the two men. Sean wouldn't go though and the one guy grabbed his coat threateningly.
"I don't think your going anywhere, you got debt to pay off Cameron." with that, Sean was swung into a near by car, the window cracking a bit.
"HEY!" Tracker went to help and the bald man punched him.
"DAD!" Spinner yelled and jumped on top of the guy from behind, "YOu DON't DO thaT!" The guy was so big he was just trying to swing Spinner off of him, he didn't even really feel Spinners hits until Jay got a blow at his stomach from infront and he groaned.
Meanwhile, Sean was on the ground and the big buff guy came over to him and kicked him in the stomach. Sean was flipped to his right and he groaned, holding his stomach. He deserved this. This was his fault.
"Frank says hello." The man said, bending down and sending a punch across Sean's face. Sean waited for another, until the guy fell back onto the ground himself.
Sean looked up to see Lucas holding a bat. He knocked it right into the guys head, sending the attacker unconscious. Sean caught his breath and stared at the hand Lucas extended to help him up with. What? Why were they helping him!?
"LIL HELP OVER HERE!" Tracker exclaimed as Lucas helped Sean up. Sean spat some blood and grabbed Lucas' bat from him. He must of got it from inside the bar. Emma's family did not have to do this, this was his mess.
Jay backed away from the other big guy and Spinner jumped off of him when they saw Sean coming over. The guy was confused and turned around to see what was happening to get whacked in the face from Sean, and was sent crashing to the snow covered ground, some teeth knocked out.
Cop sirens were heard from a far.
"WOAH!" Jay had to shout and even laugh a bit in shock. They all looked around to the two knocked out mobsters.
Sean breathed heavily and a bruise was already forming against the right side of his jaw, his ribs didn't feel too well either. Over in the distance, the boys heard some carolers singing to 'We wish you a merry Christmas'.
