Chapter 11: The Date/ Movie
Hi guys! I'm back! Sorry for not updating last week! Thanks for the reviews!
MAX POV:
"You look beautiful today," Fang whispered in my ear as we followed the waitress to our table. I looked up at him and smiled, receiving a warm smile from him as well.
"And.. Here we are," the waitress said as she led us into a separate part of the restaurant, obviously for expensive reservations. Fang said a quick thank you to the waitress and dismissed her. He then pulled out a chair, nodding for me to come sit in it. I rolled my eyes and went to the other side of the table, pulling out my chair and sitting in it.
"Aaawwe. Come on, Max. You just totally ruined this part of the date" he whined, crossing his arms and stomping his foot on the ground. He looked so adorable.
"Come oooonnn, Fang. Sit down," I said, mimicking him.
He rolled his eyes and walked over to where I was sitting. I watched him make his way around the small table, with a raised eyebrow. He pulled my chair away from the table while saying "Either way you're sitting in that chair." I looked up at him confusedly as he smirked down at me with an evil glint in his eyes. Just as I comprehended what he was gonna do, he pulled me up and carried me fireman style to the chair he pulled out for me earlier. He roughly dropped me in there and pushed the chair towards the table before walking over to where I originally sat.
"It's just a damn chair.." I muttered, readjusting myself in my new seat.
"You know..," he started. "Nobody has ever rejected me like that."
"Uuh, yah. Only Bridget" I said in a 'duh' tone.
He smirked at me, but I already saw a hint of hurt flashed through his eyes. "Yep. Bridget," he said in a strained voice.
I looked at him apologetically. "Look, I'm sorry fo-"
"No. No, it's perfectly fine." He then smirked, changed his tone and said, "You know.. nobody has ever rejected my sexiness like you had."
I scoffed. "You? Sexy? Boy, you had got to try better than that. I'll make sure I pray for you every night," I said, taking a drink of my water.
"What? You know you liked those abs," he retorted, smiling cockily.
"Whose abs? Yours? No thank you," I said, placing my hands on the table in front of me and smiling smugly at him.
"Oh really, who was the person drooling when I showed it to them?"
"Psh. Pu-lease. I wasn't drooling. I was just staring. There is a difference."
Aaand, that was how the night went. We would talk like we're best friends then the next thing you know, we're at each other's throat arguing over stupid things. But that is us and our relationship with each other. That is mine and Fang's bond and nobody can ever change that.
FANG POV:
"When we leave this room, cover your face. I know you don't like reporters," I told Max as we started heading towards the exit of the room. I know she is claustrophobic. This was one thing that I hate about being "famous": there are always reporters and paparazzi are everywhere you go. But after a while, you get used to this. Just don't answer their questions and continue doing whatever you're doing. I stopped walking right in front of the door and turned to Max. "Ready?"
She glanced nervously up at me, took one of my hands in hers and nodded. I tighten my hand around hers and smiled warmly down at her. I took a deep breath and opened the door. Before it was fully opened, I could already hear the loud talking coming from the paparazzi's. I quickly walk through them, pulling Max behind with me. As they bombarded us with questions, I could feel Max's hands tightened around mine and feel her covering her face by pressing it on my back.
"Nick! Nick! Is that the mystery girl?"
"Nick! Who is she?"
And yada yada… the same old stuff.
"Ugh, don't you hate them?" Max asked me as I pulled out from the parking spot.
"Oh, you just don't know," I replied exasperatedly.
"Why do they do that?"
"Do what?"
"I don't know. It's like they have nothing better to do, following people around, trying to find a new topic to gossip about for the week."
I chuckled. That was half true.
"So.. your house, right?" She asked, after a comfortable moment of silence.
"Yep. You get to pick the movie."
"Let's see…how about.. I don't know. Mulan?" I let out an amused laugh then nodded. "Whatever you say, Maxie. Whatever you say.."
"What? You know that's my favorite Princess movie," she said, pretending to pout. Oh my… She looks so adorable.
"I thought you would've got over that movie 2 years ago."
"No. No. No. No," She said, shaking her head. "Definitely no. It's too good to be forgotten."

"You could find the movie and I'll go get the snacks," I said, starting to walk towards the kitchen.
"Wait!" I hear her say. I looked at her and saw her touching the fabric on her dress. She bit her lips, a nervous habit of hers, and shyly looked at me, "Do you have any clothes for me? I sort of forgot to pack."
"Yeah. I'll get you some when I come back," I said, turning towards the kitchen again.
I grabbed some snacks then went into my room, grabbed a long flannel pajama pant and a black T-shirt.
"Here," I said, throwing the clothes at Max. She quickly caught it then mumbled thanks and headed towards the bathroom.
Ugh, what is this feeling? Do I like her? Every time I'm with her, I know this may sound like a girl, but I get butterflies in my stomach. I literally do. Like today. She looks so beautiful today. But am I over Bridget? I think I am. NO, I am. Well, at least I should be. We were over a long time ago. Ugh, help me! I don't know what to do!
Max came back in the theatre room and I started the movie. She laid down on one side of the long sofa and I laid on the other side of it. What? I like being close to her. Wait.. forget I just said that. But I don't really know. The last time I felt like this was with Bridget. Bridget and her emerald eyes. Bridget and her smooth blonde hair. Bridget and- wait. I shouldn't be thinking about my ex when I'm with Max.
Speaking of Max, she was looking intently at the movie. We are at the part where her grandmother is crossing the street, holding a cricket. I honestly think that was cool. Crossing a street and not getting hit by anything. Cool right?
But Max… I don't know. She just makes me feel crazy. Like.. Is it weird to have sudden urges to kiss your best friend? Yeah, crazy right?
"Hellooo! Fang!," Max shouted. She pulled the blanket we were sharing off of me and slapped my knees.
"What?" I said irritated.
"Can you go get me some water?"
"What? Why? You go get it yourself," I said, pulling the blanket over me again.
"I don't know where it is and I don't want to get up. Pleeeaase," she pouted, dragging the 'eee' sound. I made the mistake of looking at her face and my heart skipped a beat. See? Told you. Crazy. Her eyes were opened wide and she was pouting. I rolled my eyes, got off the couch, and then headed towards the kitchen. I threw the water bottle at her and stood in front of her legs.
"Move," I said, pushing her legs away from my side of the couch.
"No, it's comfyy!" She whined.
"Move," I said again, attempting to push her feet away again.
"Noooo," she whined, crossing her arms, stubbornly.
"Okay," I said. She looked at me and raised an eyebrow. I smirked then lifted her off the couch and dropped her on the floor.
"Ouch! Fang!" She whined.
"I told you to move, didn't I?" I said, dropping onto the spot where she was lying on earlier.
"Well, you forgot to say please," she said, standing up, wiping imaginary dust from her clothes. My clothes.
"Well, I am so sorry," I said, sarcastically.
"Sorry my ass," she mumbled. I watched as she took a drink from her water bottle and turned to me. "Are you gonna move?" Just to annoy her, I stubbornly shook my head. "Okay, you asked for it." Then she roughly dropped on me, causing me to let out a breath.
"Oow, Max!" I whined from under her. "Move!"
She laughed then snuggled her face into the spot between my shoulder and my neck. "No. This is actually comfy."
"But the movie…we just started.."
"Turn it off. I'm tired." She said, rolling halfway off me and sliding into the tiny space between the couch and me. She then wrapped an arm around me and snuggled into my chest. "You're comfy. Just like the giant stuffed bear you got me. Oh, how I miss Frankie."
"Frankie?"
"Yep, Frankie. Its real name is Frank, like Fang. Fang. Frank. Fang. Frank. Get it?" She said. Aaaw. She is so damn cute.
"Yeah…" I said, smiling.
"Okay, now stop talking to me. Goodnight."
"What? You're the one tal-"
"Ssshhhh."
Then I shut up. I watched as she slowly fell asleep and then I got off the couch and lifted her bridal style to my room. I gently set her down on one side of my king sized bed and then climbed on the other side of the bed. I moved over to her side and studied her. She is so… perfect. I tensed up when she started to stir in her sleep. Then out of nowhere, she wrapped an arm around me and snuggled into my chest, like earlier. "Frankie….Frank…" She mumbled.
I told you, she's so cute! I smiled, wrapped an arm around her, kissed her on the forehead, and then let sleep envelope me.
