Castiel sat on Michael's lap, giggling as Lucifer handed out presents. He didn't really understand this holiday, he only knew that this was the one day Lucifer allowed all of the omega and betas to not do work, instead they all gathered in the hall and opened presents. The younger ones like himself usually got some type of toy while the older ones got a whole range of things. Gabriel for one was really excited about the book of jokes he got. Anna got a magazine that she was reading in the corner, smiling. Balthazar got a magazine as well but he wouldn't show Castiel what it was.
"Aren't you going to open yours," Michael asks, nuzzling his cheek.
Castiel looked down at his lap, he'd forgotten about it, watching the others open theirs had entranced him. Slowly he opened the present making sure not to rip the paper. Finally having opened it he found a stuffed dog who had a halo. He stared at the dog for a long time inspecting it.
"Do you like it?"
"Yes," the little omega replies, turning away from the dog and watching Gabriel tell some of the other betas a joke from his book.
Lucifer chuckled and ruffled his hair. "I think that's Castiel for thank you."
Michael laughed as well kissing the boy's cheek. "We could put him on top of the tree, since we don't have an angel."
"Sounds like a plan," Lucifer grabbed him from Michael's lap breaking Castiel from his trance.
"What are you doing?"
"You're going to be the honorary angel," Lucifer grabbed him under his armpits and held him up high towards the top of the Christmas tree. "Perfection."
Castiel tilted his head as he looked down at him. "I don't understand."
"Of course you don't." Lucifer brought him back down and set him on the ground. "Go by your siblings for a little while, Castiel."
"Okay."
Michael ruffled his hair as the little omega passed him before looking up at his alpha. "What?"
"Come on," Lucifer says, nodding his head towards the door.
Castiel went to Gabriel who was no longer telling jokes instead he was speaking with an older omega. The little omega sat on the ground next to them. The older omega looked at him and smiled.
"He's so beautiful," she whispers, reaching forward and touching his face.
Castiel tilted his head but did nothing to stop her.
"Yeah, he gets his looks from you," Gabriel whispers.
The omega smiled sadly. "He looks a lot like his father."
"Don't speak about that filthy trash," Gabriel growls.
"He's not trash."
"He violated you, he's trash."
"He didn't violate me, he could have been a lot worse, Gabriel. He allowed me to have three beautiful children."
"He's trash. All of those alphas should die for what they did to you." Gabriel glared at the floor but the omega lifted his head.
"No they shouldn't."
"How can you say that? Especially after what Balthazar's father did to you."
"Gabriel I am done discussing this with you."
Gabriel was about to respond when Castiel chimed in, "What are you two talking about?"
"Nothing," Gabriel says quickly.
"I'm going to go speak with your sister," the omega says, hugging Gabriel and kissing his cheek. "It was nice seeing you again." She turned to Castiel and smiled. "It was nice seeing you too, Castiel." She hugged him briefly as well before getting up and going to Anna.
"Who was that?" Castiel watched her leave absolutely confused.
"No one. What did you get for Christmas?"
Castiel showed him his dog. "This."
"Aww, it's so cute!" Gabriel pulled him into his lap, holding him close.
…
Castiel's first Christmas with Dean was spent mostly sleeping as Axel had kept them up all night long. Castiel awoke first and he left the room and went to Axel's. His alpha son was still sleeping.
"Little one, it's time to wake up," Castiel whispers to their exactly three month old son. Green eyes slowly opened to peer up at the omega. "Are you tired? Maybe you wouldn't be if you slept last night. Hmm?" He picked him up and held him close as he walked over to the dresser. He pulled out the infant Christmas sweater Dean had bought and red pants. The omega cooed softly too him as he changed him. Axel as he always was in the morning, quiet. They just couldn't get him to be quiet during the night.
Dean was just about to enter the room as he was leaving it. They both jumped a little before laughing. "How's our little man this morning?" He carefully took Axel from Castiel. The alpha peppered their son's face with kisses, smiling as the infant giggled. "Axel's very first Christmas." He moved him so he was instead cradled in his arms. "Merry Christmas Angel," he says leaning forward and kissing Castiel. "Let's go get some breakfast."
Castiel nodded and followed Dean down the stairs and to the kitchen. They had a very nice quiet breakfast, Axel getting most of his in his hair and on his sweater before joining everyone in the living room.
Sam immediately took Axel from Dean's arms and fawned over the child.
Castiel sat next to Dean on the couch and the alpha wrapped an arm around his waist pulling him close. "If you love him so much Sammy then why don't you get up at one in the morning and take care of him?"
"I'm the uncle, you're the parents. Therefore it's your job to take care of him and my job to love him unconditionally when he's in a more fun mood."
…
Axel now five opened his presents as the rest of the family watched him.
Dean was next, he looked down at his present a little confused. "How'd you get a present without my knowledge," he asks Castiel looking over at him.
"Just open it," the omega urges.
Dean ripped open the paper and completely froze at what was inside. "You had better not be fucking with me right now."
"I'm not."
"I love you so much baby." He threw the present aside and kissed him.
"What is it," Sam asks.
"We're having another baby," Dean says happily.
"I don't like this gift," Axel growls.
They all proceeded to laugh at them.
…
Castiel and Dean watched from the couch as Axel and James opened their presents. "It's perfect," Castiel whispers.
"Yes it is," Dean replies.
