Whoa, sorry for the extremely long wait. I've been busy, forgive me!

On the third day of Christmas my weirdo gave to me...
Three Swanson Siblings
It's a little past midnight when Jesse finally arrives, fetching her from the airport. She throws her bags back into his trunk, frustrated.
"Miss me already, Becs?" She ignores him, choosing to watch the dark landscape rush by instead.
He glances at her, mentally slapping himself on the head. "Sorry, idiot comment."
She looks at him, narrowing her eyes.
"So... What exactly happened?"
She exhales a frustrated huff of air before explaining her situation. "I'll be at Barden for Christmas. And yeah, while my family sucks, they're better than the school has to offer." she finally finishes, feeling slightly more mellowed out.
He takes it all in before speaking. "I don't see any problems with you staying over at my parents with me. I don't want to leave you at Barden all alone, especially on Christmas," he says, voicing his concern. She stares at him, whose own set of eyes were fixated on the road ahead of him.
She chews on her lip, uncertain of what to do. Now that home was out of the picture, it sounded like the most appealing option. She'd rather be at home than spend a lonely Christmas by herself, but she also didn't want to burden Jesse's family. The thought of spending the holidays with her boyfriend's family scared the shit out of her. That would be a gigantic step in their relationship, and she wasn't sure if she wanted to take it quite yet. She hasn't even had dinner with the family, why should she suddenly be having three nights worth of dinners with them?
He senses her hesitance and reaches to touch her hand. "Hey, it's fine. I understand." he says quietly, stopping at a stop light. He looks at her with gentle eyes, hoping it would comfort her.
"I don't want to be a burden on your family on such late notice, too." she admits, turning away to stare out the window.
"My family loves you, they wouldn't care one bit." She sighs, unconvinced. "If anything, they'd kick me out to make room for you." he snickers, hoping to lighten the mood.
She gives him a look. "Jesse, seriously."
He looks at her, shrugging. "Kidding. They'd kick my brother out, we all know who their favorite kid is."
"You're horrible." she groans, making him laugh. "But Jess, I'm honestly fine with staying in my dorm."
He grunts, knowing very well that she was too stubborn to take the opportunity. "Fine, if you won't stay with me, I'll let you have the keys to the Treble house. It's empty, and at least you'll have the kitchen and bathrooms to yourself." he reasons to a much more accepting Beca, who was nodding in agreement. "But I want you to come over on Christmas Eve and Christmas, okay? I'll never be able to forgive myself for leaving you all alone on the best days of the year. No buts."
She sighs in defeat. "Maybe."
"No maybe's, either." he lightly nudges her side with his elbow, changing the subject before she could come up with another excuse, "So do you want to grab something to eat? We could find a diner that's open 24/7 or something."
She opens her mouth to say yes, but notices the sleepiness in the creases of his eyes and shakes her head. "No, it's fine. I'm exhausted, and you probably are, too. I made you drive all the way back to get me."
"I'd rather pick you up than have you take a taxi at this hour."
"What's so wrong with taxis?"
"They over price you by going the longer way, plus there can be creepy drivers out there." he says matter-of-factly.
"We technically met in a taxi. Give them a chance!"
He grins. "You've got a point, Mitchell. But no."
To make things up to him, Beca decides to get up earlier than usual so that she can make him breakfast. It was the least she could do. And although all she knew how to make were eggs, at least she was pretty damn good at it.
She decides to make him a cheese omelet with toast and microwavable bacon, which the Treble house never seemed to have a shortage of. The microwave beeps simultaneously with the sound of a distant toilet flushing, prompting her to turn around. She sees Jesse standing at the doorway between the living room and bedrooms. He's yawning and rubbing his eyes with balled up fists, his hair sticking up at all angles. She tries not to smile at his disheveled appearance. "Morning."
He mumbles the same greeting as he ambled flush behind her, hugging her as he rests his head on her shoulder, pretending to snore.
"Go back to bed." she orders, prodding him with her palm. He groans and presses himself into her, wrapping his arms tighter around her body.
"You smell good."
"I haven't showered since yesterday. Nice try, though." He grunts and shakes his head, his feathery hair tickling her neck. She clamps down onto her lip, fighting the urge to god damn giggle at the sensation. Suddenly, his lips latch onto the skin on her neck. She sucks in a quick intake of breath as his lips softly massage her skin. She bites back a soft moan, closing her eyes for just a second, seeping into his touch.
"Jess... The food is going to burn..." she sighs as he continues to gently nibble over her sensitive skin. His fingers slide underneath her shirt, rubbing up and down her sides slowly. Her breathing becomes irregular as they inch underneath the soft fabric, her eyes darting from the movement going on beneath her shirt and the food she was cooking on the stove. His lips were slowly making its way down the length of her neck towards her shoulder. She felt his fingers slip underneath the band of her bra, sending her goosebumps along her milky skin. She bites the hollow of her cheek, holding in another moan. She closes her eyes, enjoying every second of this, even if it diverted her focus off the task at hand. Suddenly, his hands fall back to her waist and with a slobbery "pop", his lips detach themselves from her skin. Her eyes snap open, trying to maintain her breathing as the phone began ringing, disrupting their little activity. They stand there for a moment, busy regaining their breaths before he finally answers that damn phone.
"Hello?" he says, sounding part groggy, part annoyed.
"Aw, did I accidentally wake my baby brother up again?"
"What do you want, Ry?"
"Damn, did I interrupt something? Yuck." he smiles a little, imagining the grimace his sister was making. "Mom told me your girlfriend's flight was cancelled until after Christmas. Does this mean she'll be coming over?"
"Yeah, she is." Beca whips her head around to look at him, curious.
"Nice, I'll finally get to meet her! Like, even as soon as in a couple of hours!" Rylee laughs nervously over the phone.
He raises his eyebrows. "What?"
"I called you to ask if you could babysit the kids for a couple of hours? I'm taking mom and dad out for some last-minute Christmas shopping in the city. Brett and Alex and their wives are going to do some errands. Bring Beca, I'm looking forward to meeting her. Kaia's been talking nonstop about her since I got here. She says you two are going to get married? If she's right about this, I want my son to be the ring bearer, although you two are a little young.."
"She's looking way into the future. And so are you," he chuckles. "What time do you want us there?"
"Around noon is fine. Thanks, Jess."
"Yeah, no problem," with that, they hang up. He strolls over back to the table, where the finished food, along with Beca, was waiting for him. "Looks like we're babysitting today, Becs."
She looks at him, swallowing her food before replying. "We? When did I agree to this?"
"You didn't. But you're coming anyway, my sister wants to meet you. And Kaia's there, she's dying to see you again."
She smiles at that comment, but wipes it off once she realizes the troubled creases on his forehead. "What's up?"
"My brothers will love you, but my sister... My sister's kind of hard to impress. She's driven out some of my past girlfriends before, and, well, I did warn them."
"You're worried about that? I don't think it'll be too hard, Jess." she rolls her eyes, shoving a piece of omelet into her mouth.
"Think of it like how in Finding Nemo. You know how the aquarium fish anticipate Darla's arrival? They planned the whole thing out, right? Then the fucking dentist had to install the cleaner out of the blue and so they have no backup plan when she comes by and picks Nemo up."
"What are you trying to say? That I pretend to play dead and hope I get flushed down the toilet?" she recalls, shaking her head as she remembers the day he made her watch just about all the Disney Pixar movies one after another. Out of all of them, Finding Nemo was her favorite.
"Well, no. What I mean to say is that, you may think it'll be easy, because she'll seem all nice and lovely and great. Just, expect the unexpected." he shrugs.
"You could've used a better movie reference."
Jesse and Beca arrive at his parents house two hours later, with his bags in tow. From the other side, the two could hear the stomping of feet race to open the door. It swings open, revealing three kids, each varying in height, but similar in appearance. There was Kaia, whose brown locks were in two braids, smiling happily as she swings her arms around Beca's hips. Surprised, Beca stumbles back a little. Next to her, Jesse picks up the two remaining kids. The little boy was probably Tate, Jesse's sister's kid, and then there was Ava, his eldest brother's daughter.
"I missed you, Beca!" Kaia squeezes the brunette tighter, her voice muffled against her thighs. She looks up, her blue eyes sparkling and mouth stretched in a wide grin. Beca smiles fondly and picks her up, freeing her own legs.
"Well isn't this just the most adorable Kodak moment I've ever seen!" His mother claps her hands together, leaving them wondering how long she's been standing there. She takes Jesse's bags. "Come on into the kitchen, hopefully your siblings didn't eat all the pie." she laughs wholeheartedly, taking Beca's hand. "I'm sorry about your plans to go home for the holidays, Beca. You're more than welcome to stay with us." Mrs. Swanson says, her eyes sympathetic and inviting. Beca looks at Jesse, who had the same encouraging eyes and was nodding slightly at her. She gives the woman a small smile before following her into the kitchen, with Kaia still attached to her torso. His siblings yell out Jesse's name, prompting him to let go of the two kids onto the floor and walk over to his grinning siblings. She lingers by the doorway, watching Jesse reunite with his brothers and sister. He gestures for her to come over.
"We don't bite." one of his brothers jokes, making her raise her eyebrows.
"Yeah, Daddy doesn't bite. Unless it's into a sandwich." Kaia giggles into her ear.
"So you're the famous Beca. Kaia never stops talking about you." he chuckles, reaching for his daughter, who swats him away and sticks her tongue out at him, making her smile. "I'm Alex, and my wife here is Cara. It's nice to meet you."
"And I'm Brett. Jesse never shuts up about you either, it's not just Kaia." The eldest Swanson brother laughs. Jesse scratches his neck nervously and wraps a hand around her waist. "This little beauty here is my daughter, Ava, and my this is my wife, Michelle." Michelle offers Beca a hand, which she shakes.
"Brett's right, Jess talks about you every second of the day. It's kind of creepy, I suggest you run away while you can." The brunette sitting on the kitchen island snickers.
The grip on her waist grows tighter. Jesse rolls his eyes at his sister. "This is my sister, Rylee. She's a ray of sunshine."
"I'm just trying to warn you before it's too late, Beca." Rylee grins, sticking her tongue out at her youngest brother. "But really, I've been looking forward to meeting you. These next few days are solely dedicated to embarrassing my baby brother."
"Music to my ears." Beca hums, turning to Rylee after releasing Kaia to play with the other kids. "Embarrassing Jesse is my favorite thing to do."
Jesse's jaw drops, not realizing how his girlfriend and his sister's personalities would mesh together. Unlike his past girlfriends, Beca was stubborn. She wasn't scared of his sister, whose intimidating persona normally scared off many of those past girlfriends. "What?!"
"I like you already, Beca. We're going to have tons of fun together." Rylee chirps, shooting the younger brunette a wink. "So, speaking of music, how are the Trebles doing so far?"
"We're doing great, thanks for asking. I'm pretty sure we've got what it takes to get back our national trophy." He boasts, winking at Beca. She rolls her eyes and digs an elbow deep into his side, making him recoil in pain.
"Of course you do. If you make it to the finals you obviously have what it takes to win, but sadly, that doesn't mean you will. I'm rooting for the Bellas." Rylee smirks. His brothers murmur their agreement. Beca laughs at the pained expression on Jesse's face.
Jesse groans. "The love and support for me in this room is overwhelming. Please, tone it down a little."
At the same time, Beca and Rylee roll their eyes. Jesse gulps, nervous about how similar they are and the bond they were bound to have. He wasn't scared for her anymore, he was scared for himself.
"Anyways, I hope you don't mind watching the kids today. Sorry if we ruined your plans."
"We didn't have any in the first place. I was already planning on coming over, so it's fine." He assures, turning to Brett, who voiced his concern. The eldest Swanson brother nods.
"We've got to go run some errands, so we'll see you two later. The kids shouldn't be too much trouble." Brett calls for the kids, who each shuffle into the room in a fit of giggles in a matter of seconds. "The adults are going out so your Uncle Jesse and Beca are babysitting you three. We'll be back in a couple of hours, so no funny business." he playfully glares at the three kids, who continue giggling. The two brothers and their wives set out the door, leaving Rylee to wait for their parents to come down to leave with them. The brunette drums her fingers along the surface of the countertop, eying Beca and Jesse as they slip onto the stools previously sat on by her brothers.
"Yeah, I've got to help mom and dad with their last-minute Christmas shopping. You two are officially held responsible of my little boy Tate, so you better not lose him." Rylee glares at Jesse, who scratches his head nervously.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." he chuckles and glances at Beca, who was smirking.
"Oh shut up, Jess." Rylee laughs. "Do you know the story? The one where he lost Kaia on Black Friday?" Beca nods, laughing when he groans again. "Don't let that happen again, I'll kill him." Rylee then grabs hold of her coat and pulls it on. Mr. and Mrs. Swanson emerge from the staircase, and the three say their goodbyes before leaving. The three kids stare at the remaining adults, waiting for something to happen.
"This is Ava and Tate." Kaia says, introducing her cousins to Beca. Beca smiles at them before suddenly getting dragged off her stool by Kaia's hand. "I can't wait to show you all the movies I brought here! Uncle Jesse, can we watch a movie today?" She turns to stare at her uncle, her eyes round and innocent.
"Of course! I never say 'no' to movies, but you might have a little trouble convincing Beca here to watch it with us." Jesse turns to grin at the petite brunette. Beca opens her mouth to reply, but Ava beats her to it.
"Do you not like movies?" Ava, the oldest one of the trio, asks, with a look similar to Jesse's when he found out she hated movies. She's about to answer when Kaia whispers something into the little blonde's ear. Ava widens her eyes at Beca and takes a step back. "You're crazy."
"Whoa there, be nice." Jesse scolds, however trying to mask his amusement. "I mean, I said that when I found out, but that doesn't mean it's nice. What movie do you want to watch, guys? We could go out to the movies and watch Frozen." Immediately, the two girls jump and squeal, which he takes as an automatic yes. He looks at Tate, who shrugs, not knowing what was going on. He laughs and tells the kids to get their coats and they speed off, much to Jesse's amusement. "Sorry about that, Ava's a little more out there than Kaia."
"I didn't know that was possible." Beca muses. He cocks his head to one side and stares at her, much to her bewilderment. "What?"
"I wasn't expecting that you'd get along with Ry." he admits, digging a hand into his pocket.
She shrugs. "I mean, I've known her for five minutes. She's funny. We think the same thoughts already."
"To be honest, I thought you two would clash. I forgot the very real possibility of you two actually getting along because I forgot how alike you two are." he groans. "It's like I'm dating my sister."
She smacks his arm. "Gross, Jess. I mean, unless you like that incest thing, go on ahead. I'll have to leave, though. Like, forever." she cringes and crinkles her nose, disgusted.
"Hey, hey," he puts his hands up in front of him, defending himself, "I never said you were the same person. I'm only head-over-heels in love with one person."
"Your sister?" she laughs as he pulls her toward him, still sitting on his stool. Still, his words made her insides freeze beneath her smile, unbeknownst to Jesse. She knew he was just being playful, but just the thought of it made her both want to run away and stay. His hands wrap around her waist as he leans in to give her a kiss, but the sound of the kids returning footsteps prompts her to clear her throat and move away. "Sorry, it'll be awhile until I get the picture of incest Jesse out of my mind." she shudders, making him roll his eyes.
"Do you wanna build a snowmaaan? It doesn't have to be a snowmaaan!" Jesse and the kids sing, belting at the top of their lungs. They look at Beca expectedly, hoping she'd answer the next line. She sighs in defeat, grinning at the anticipation.
"Go away, Anna."
Instead of finishing the last verse, they all erupt into a fit of laughter. Jesse pulls into the family home and checks the clock, seeing that everyone's cars were already there. It was nearly seven o'clock, which surprised him considering that it felt like such a short time. The five of them went to eat a local kids place, where he won over Beca in skee-ball. It was weird though, since she seemed to get over it so quickly. It may have had something to do with the stuffed animal Tate had picked out for her after accidentally winning a bunch of tickets through a dysfunctional game, he thought to himself. They avoided getting food since his parents were making dinner, which he could smell from outside through the open kitchen windows. Rylee opens the front door, sighing in relief at the sight of all three children there and in-tact.
"Thank God, you didn't lose them. Thanks, Beca."
Beca grins, while Jesse frowns, astonished. "No thanks to me? I helped, too."
Rylee rolls her eyes and pats his back. "Thanks, Jess. I guess." She corrals the kids, tells them to wash up, and the remaining ushers her brother and Beca into the kitchen, where everyone was already seated around the dining table and at the kitchen island. The table seated ten, with one empty seat after Rylee, Beca, and Jesse take their own. Mr. Swanson brings out two large pizzas, which each of the Swanson siblings attack immediately. Beca waits until everyone's got their slice before picking one for herself, indulging in the homemade dough. She hums her delight, not noticing the eager stares on her around the table.
"Do you like it?"
She slows her chewing, finally aware of the turn of heads towards her. She nods, raising her eyebrows slightly at Jesse, who shrugs.
"So, Beca, I know it's a long ways off, but what do you plan on doing after Barden?" Brett asks, mid-chew.
She swallows her food before answering. "I'm planning on going to LA to become a DJ." She waits for the destined criticism that always came after she told people her plans after college, but it never came. Not even a raise of an eyebrow, which greatly relieved her.
"That's awesome! I'd think you're more of the girl on the dance floor, though. Well, from what I've seen from your performances." Alex lets out a slow whistle. Cara pinches his upper arm, while Jesse glares and kicks him under the table. He mutters his apology, rubbing the sore spot just above his elbow.
"Oh man, you can't be serious. I'm a terrible dancer." Beca shakes her head, feeling the blush begin to creepy up her neck. "But, uh, thanks?"
"Sorry, Alex is a little creepy. I think it runs in the family, well aside from myself, of course." Rylee smirks, flipping her hair back casually.
"Rylee!" Mrs. Swanson suddenly scolds her only daughter from across the table.
"Right, I mean aside from mom and myself."
Like a ripple, the Swanson boys each roll their eyes, including their father. Beca bites hard on her tongue, trying not to laugh. Suddenly, the three kids file into the kitchen, momentarily grabbing everyone's attention. Mrs. Swanson leaves the table to give them their food, sitting them at the play table next to theirs.
"Hey guys! How'd you like having Uncle Jess and Beca take care of you guys for the day?" Alex asks, poking his daughter in the cheek. Kaia scrunches her nose, glaring at her father.
"It was fun! Uncle Jesse's always fun, but with Beca he's extra fun!" Kaia chirps, smiling cheekily at the older brunette.
"That's good, Kai. Glad to hear it."
"Will you be here forever, Beca?" The little girl asks, patiently waiting for an answer. Beca feels a lump in her throat, unsure of what to say. Thankfully, Rylee comes to her rescue and answers for her, noticing the distress that was starting to form on her face.
"She's going back home on Thursday, right after Christmas." Beca shoots her a grateful glance, receiving an understanding nod back. A second later, confusion clouds her face, which Rylee sees. "Mom told me while we were out." The confusion fades away from her face, then she turns to Kaia, whose own was filled with disappointment.
"Well, will you at least spend the night? Pretty please, Beca? We can have a big sleepover, even Tate can join," the little girl stands up onto her chair and brushes Beca's hair away to whisper something loudly in her ear, "and he's a boy."
"I heard that, Kai. Tate's a good kid, even if he is a boy." Rylee smiles at the little girl, who shrinks in response.
"Sorry Kai, I can't sleep over." Beca apologizes, finding herself feeling regret as she looks into Kaia's sad eyes.
Mrs. Swanson frowns a little. "Why, Beca, I told you that you're more than welcome to stay over. There's no problem in making room for one more person. You could always room with Rylee, or in the spare room..."
"Or with me." Jesse interrupts, catching his mother's eye. Beca, unsure of what to say, chews her food as slowly as possible, hoping someone would change the subject. "But if you really don't want to, I'll take you back to the Treble house in an hour or two." he squeezes her knee, hoping that he wasn't pushing her. Beca nods and clears her throat, wishing she could dig herself out of the awkward situation.
"Sooo, what do you all do for a living?" Beca changes the subject, trying to make everything the least awkward as possible. Alex tells her he's an architect in the city as well as a part-time high school football coach, while Cara's a nurse. She learns that Brett and Michelle are restaurant/bar owners, Rylee's an art teacher and that the reason to her husband's absence was because he was a plane pilot. As time drags on, she finds herself at home with the Swanson's, laughing along with their jokes, which ranged from Jesse's painful past as a star baseball player in high school, and memories of the pranks they pulled on each other and their friends. It isn't until Tate asks if they could watch another movie when they finally disperse. She looks at Jesse, expecting him to come, but instead he tells her to go without him while he makes some popcorn. With a shrug, she follows Tate as he pulls her into the movie room, with the two little girls in tow.
With Beca gone and his brother's and sister's in-law's deciding to get some early sleep, Jesse's left stranded with Rylee in the kitchen. He takes out a bowl from the cabinet and a two bags of microwavable popcorn, popping them into the microwave for three minutes and five seconds.
"How do you like her?" he asks quietly, bracing himself for the worst. While the two girls got along perfectly, Rylee was great at hiding her true feelings towards people. She loved hanging out with Jesse's friends, but also loved hating them, too. With her, Jesse was never sure.
"I like her. I think she's good for you." she responds, surprising him. He's never heard her once utter those words. It was a great relief, having his sister's approval for once. "She balances you out, I think. Honestly, I expected her to be some bitch after she hurt you after Regionals. I thought you'd never be able to bounce back."
"How'd you know about Regionals?" he asks, suspicious.
She lets out a nervous laugh, smirking. "Oh, right. It's not that hard getting you to talk about what's bothering you when you're drunk. I knew something was off about you during spring break; you weren't talking about her for once. So I put some alcohol into your system and you rattled off everything." she laughs, this time wholeheartedly. "But seriously, Jess. I don't know what happened for her to get your heart back, but whatever it was, it worked. I've never seen you happier. It's sickening, really. If I can't be the one embarrassing you 24/7, I'm happy it's her who'll do it." she shakes her head, smelling the buttery popcorn waft around the kitchen. Jesse smiles at the memory of her at ICCA Finals, singing to him. "Well, are you gonna just sit there and smile like a lovesick idiot, or are you going to tell me what it was that she did to win you over again?" Rylee demands, with a hint of playfulness in her eyes.
"She sang to me, nothing special. I mean, it was, but it's nothing you need to know about." he sighs, getting up from his spot to fetch the popcorn out of the microwave and put in the second bag. It was true. He wanted to keep that special moment between him and Beca, without his meddling older sister wanting in.
"Nevermind, then. I probably don't want to know, anyways." she huffs, rolling her eyes at Jesse, who was nearly five years younger than her. "But yeah, I like her a lot. I'm rooting for you guys, so you better not fuck it up."
He rolls his eyes. "Thanks for the support, sis."
"Yeah, yeah. Also, to add on, she's great with Tate. I think he has a crush on her, you should probably be aware of that before he snatches her up for himself." she muses.
"Tell your kid to find someone his own size."
"She's pretty short..."
"Hey! No one's allowed to criticize her height but me."
"No need to be so defensive. God, you're never going to give her up. I'm actually kind of worried for her now." He frowns as she smacks a kiss on his cheek. He grimaces and wipes it away, making her laugh. "I'm going to get some sleep, so I'm putting you in charge of getting Tate to sleep before midnight. Got it?"
He nods obediently, earning a pat on the head. "Good. Goodnight! If Beca changes her mind, I've got smaller clothes from high school in my room, you know, from before I was pregnant." she sighs, reminiscing in her old days. "I'll leave them out on my dresser." She exits the kitchen just as the microwave beeps, indicating that the popcorn was all ready. He pours the two bags of popped kernels into the giant bowl and heads into the movie room, where, ironically, Finding Nemo was playing on the TV.
He spies the three kids and his girlfriend sprawled out on the floor. The closer he got, the easier it was to see that they were all asleep, surprising him. It was barely 9:30, and the movie's only been playing for five minutes. With a quiet chuckle, he first takes the kids into their parents room, carrying each one carefully as to not wake them. He bites his lip, unsure of what to do with Beca. He could wake her and take her to the Treble house, or he could take her up to his room and she could spend the night. With a final sigh, he scoops her up into his arms and takes her upstairs and into his childhood room. He lays her down onto the bed softly, hoping she wouldn't wake. She mumbles something in her sleep and reaches for something to hold, eventually finding his body pillow. He chuckles softly at the sight. If she was going to get mad at him for not taking her back campus, he'd just tell her it was her own damn fault for falling asleep in the first place. He sneaks into his sister's room and finds the clothes his sister was talking about, taking them with him. He stops playing the movie and sighs sadly at the wasted bowl of popcorn before tossing it into the trash and shutting the lights off downstairs. Up in his room, he pries her arms from around his pillow and slides her shirt off, replacing it with a comfier one before doing the same with the skinny jeans she was wearing with pajama bottoms. He pulls his own clothes off, leaving only his boxers on, turns the light off, and gets into bed with her. He presses a soft kiss on her temple and murmurs "goodnight", resting his cheek on his pillow.
"'Night." she replies half asleep, subconsciously pulling him closer.
I was going to put it in this chapter, but I had such a hard time deciding so I'm going to ask you guys for help. Spoiler alert, I guess.
Would you rather have Beca not knowing how to ice skate, or Jesse? In other words, would you rather have a stubborn Beca and a playful Jesse or a playful Beca and a stubborn Jesse? Give me your ideas!
Two chapters left, well, excluding the epilogue! I hope you're all enjoying it so far!
