Talking about taking the tragedy up a notch.

Michael had been silenced since morning. Actually, he had not spoken a single alphabet after his short meeting with Iris. His personal meeting that was supposed to scare her now backfired on him.

No wonder she's loved by the God himself.

On the other hand, the demons didn't know whether what Iris just told them was a good or bad news.

"If what you said is true, then maybe the Heaven wouldn't proceed with their plan of opening the bridge."

"Or maybe they're willing to sacrifice his life in order to obliterate the whole Hell." Camio pointed out the bitter truth.

Heaven had sometimes known as extremist, after all. Performing forced ecstasy was just one of their many dirty methods.

"I've told you, didn't I?" Iris drank her whole coffee in one gulp. "When one key was found, the rest is only about a matter of time to show itself. You can't stop the tragedy, at least not until all the keys are reunited once again."

"By that time, it will be too late!"

Iris smiled. "Isn't that's why I'm here?"

Dantalion's eyes went wide, Sytry's jaw dropped to the floor and Camio couldn't believe what he just heard. "You...can't possibly mean..."

William turned the album to the next page. Now that he thought of it, he and Iris barely communicate when they were younger. One day she was in, the next day they never met again. Their parents had sent her to study abroad already.

They hardly in touch as well, seeing William didn't contact her when their parents died. He just assumed Iris took it to heart what they'd done to her. Sending such a young and fragile little girl without being beside her, anyone would think they abandoned her.

Maybe they did. Maybe he did, too.

He couldn't deny that sometimes, he forgot he had a sister. He was too wrapped up in his fantasy of being the best students, get good scholarships and became and important person in the future that he wouldn't let anything compromise it.

He even overlooked the fact of how the demons protected him, despite his cold-demeanor towards them.

When Iris suddenly showed up at the mansion, he didn't know whether to be happy or sad. But, he did know he wanted her to have nothing to do with the whole demon-angel-hell-heaven things. He wanted her to have a normal life.

He wanted her to at least know what a family felt like.

But, that also shattered when Iris was actually reborn from her past. Her thousand-years ago past. Just like him.

At last, William closed the album and leaned against the couch while letting out an exasperated sigh for not being able to do anything for her.

Iris laid her back on the bed. Her eyes were looking at the white ceiling. She subconsciously remembered the details of hers and Michael's conversation.

Flashback :

"Hello~ Iris-chan~" Michael amiably smiled at the girl who was reading one of Camio's boring books. "I've come specifically for you today."

Iris looked at him shortly before returning her attention to the book. "Get lost. I hate another war to break before me."

Michael's smile turned into frown, and anger. He burned the book in Iris' hands before she even knew it. "I hate to be ignored."

"And I hate to be disturbed, you bloody idiot."

Michael's anger was once again replaced by one of his sadistic, insincere smile. "You know~ I really hate to hurt the one who guard the gate, but if you got in my way, I would not hesitate to hurt you, or your brother for a mattaer of fact."

Iris gritted her teeth in silent fury. "Are you threatening me?"

Micheal laughed as a reply, as if mocking her. "Well, as long as you understand~"

"You bas-!" Iris was ready to punch him in the guts when the usual voice stopped her from doing so.

He who was first created by the God
One who clears the path full of obstacles
The one who represents the courage and strength
One who was seek for his protection

Iris dropped down her fist to her side. She blinked a few times in order to make sense of what she just heard. Michael snickered at her. "What's wrong, Elector's sister? Cat got your tongue?"

"You are the second key." Iris blurted out. Her gaze was piercing him. Michael would rubbed it off as a joke, but he knew better when someone was lying to him. And she's definitely not doing so.

End flashback

"Five more keys." Iris mumbled to herself. She looked at the photo frame on her side table. The only picture of she and William. That was taken not long before she got caught up in this mess.

Don't worry, Nii-san. I will protect you.
