I know I haven't been as consistent as I should be but school and work kick my ass at times. I am sorry for not being able to give you updates more often. I am working on trying to make more free time to write. And is everyone else broken hearted that Eli cheated? I didn't watch the episode I refuse. Do you think he cheated? I know I wrote in this story that he cheated but I never thought it was something that he would actually do on the show it is just too OOC come on he waited 3 years to be with her and sleep with her and he really couldn't last 6 weeks…what do you guys think? Ever since Clare and Eli's Valentines Day date they have been spending a lot more time together. Anyone who see's the two together would see that they are completely and totally in love with one another. Clare has been working especially hard lately in order to be able to take a week off to travel up to Boston to visit her Brother and Sister In Law and her new nephew Jonathan Jacob Martin. Clare was really looking forward to be able to talk to Katie about childbirth seeing how she was going to be experiencing it soon.
Eli had been spending a lot of time at the theater lately; with Tony nominations fast approaching he wanted to make sure that his play was perfect. He felt that his and Clare's story deserved the recognition of a nomination. Eli had written and directed tons of plays but this was the first one to ever make it to Broadway. This was a really big deal for him and he was enjoying that the people who came to see it were enjoying his work. He felt like he had so much good going for him at the moment. His play was doing well, he was happy with the love of his life and the two of them were going to be parents in a few short months. He loved his life at the moment. Just then a knock on his office door brought him out of his happy thoughts.
"Come in" Eli yelled from behind his desk
"Sir I am sorry to disturb you but your Wife is here to see you"
"Wife? Um yeah send her in," Eli said with a look of confusion on his face
Just then Clare walked into his office carrying a picnic basket. Eli walked over to her and grabbed the basket out of her hand and set it on his desk. He turned back towards Clare and cupped her face before crashing his lips to hers. When he finally pulled away the couple were breathless.
"Well hello to you too Eli" Clare giggled
"Hello My Love. I've missed you"
"Well if I knew not seeing you for 2 days would get me that kind of reaction when I saw you again I might have to just start spending less time with you" Clare responded with a chuckle
"Oh no you don't, I couldn't stand it if you did that to me. And besides it wasn't just that that caused that reaction"
"Oh? What else made you react that way?" Clare asked
"The fact that you introduced yourself to my PA as my wife. That did things to me. At first I was confused as to what was going on then you walked in and you know it just felt right"
"Oh well I really hate to burst your bubble but I didn't introduce myself as your wife. I just said I was here to see the handsome and brilliant Elijah Goldsworthy"
"Oh then why did he call you my wife?" Eli asked
"He probably just assumed. I mean I'm here often enough, I'm pregnant with your child and we have been caught making out in your office on more then one occasion, but it is nice to know that me being called your wife is something you like hearing" Clare blushed
"Nothing would make me happier then for you to one day be wife Clare…you and Peanut are my FOREVER, my happily ever after. I know I am super cheesy but that is how I feel and I will not feel like an idiot for saying so"
"I don't think you're an idiot for saying those things…cheesy yes but an idiot hell no. Peanut and I love you, you are everything to us."
"And just how do you know that peanut loves me?" Eli asked Clare
"I know because every time I am near you the baby moves around like crazy inside of me, when you talk the baby practically does summersaults," Clare laughed
"Really?" Eli asked with a huge smile on his face
"Yes…Feel" Clare said grabbing his hand and placing it on her belly so Eli could feel the baby moving
"Oh wow that is crazy you have a person growing and moving around inside of you" Eli said with amazement in his voice
"I have a piece of you and our love growing inside of me Eli. I love you so much Babe and I love Peanut you two are my Forever too"
Eli moved from standing at his desk to Clare. He enveloped her in his arms and kissed her with so much passion. He loved this woman so much she was everything to him. When the two of them pulled apart they were left breathless.
"Before I forget I did come over here to ask you something" Clare said
"What is it My Love?" Eli asked
"Would you be able to take anytime off within the next 2 weeks?"
"I could spare a week next week. We are actually taking a breather before all the craziness starts up why what up love?"
"I wanted to know if you would want to come with me up to Boston to go see Jake, Katie and the Baby?"
"I'd love to go with you love"
"Okay great I'll book the flight and hotel when I get home. Are you going to come over and stay the night tonight?" Clare asked Eli
"There is no place on this whole entire world that I'd rather be then to be with you tonight. As soon as I am finished up here I will go home and pack a bag and then head over to your place. Shall I bring us some Chinese food for dinner?"
"Mmmm that sounds amazing" Clare said to Eli
The two of them enjoyed their picnic in Eli's office. They talked about nothing and everything. The two of them always had something to talk about even if it was something that was absolutely ridiculous. Although the two of them were so in love with one another that they never found anything the other talked about to be ridiculous.
*Clare's Apartment Later that Night*
Clare was sitting at her laptop finishing up her last article that needed to be handed in before she took off for Boston. Once she was done with her article she booked her and Eli's plane tickets as well as booked them a hotel for the week. Just as she finished up booking the hotel there was a knock at her door. She walked up to the door and opened it to find the love of her life standing there with a huge smile on his face and his bags as well as some delicious smelling Chinese food. Clare grabbed the food from him and placed it on the kitchen counter. Eli had walked to Clare's bedroom and put his bags down in there. He walked out of the bedroom and over to Clare who was arranging the food Eli had brought onto the counter, Eli hugged Clare from behind and placed a kiss on her neck. Clare turned around in his arms and threw her arms around his neck and gave him a passion filled kiss. When she pulled away she had a big grin on her face.
"I have something for you…well it is more then one thing but I am not quite sure how you are going to feel about it all." Clare said biting her lip
"What is it My Love?" Eli asked Clare
"Here" Clare said handing Eli a ring sized box. Eli took the box from her and turned up a quizzical brow
"Are you asking me to Marry You My Love?" Eli asked with a chuckle
"Ha-ha Eli just open the damn box you dork"
Eli opened the box and in it reviled it to hold a key. Eli pulled the key out and gave Clare a questioning look
"It's the key to my apartment. I thought it would make things easier if you had the key to my place, the other thing I have for you is in the bedroom" Clare said
"Oh the bedroom I like where this is heading" Eli laughed
"Shut up its not like that and if you keep it up with this cocky attitude of yours you probably wont be getting any at all tonight" Clare laughed. She grabbed him by the arm and dragged him into her bedroom. She pointed to her dresser and to her closet. Eli went to her dresser and opened the bottom three drawers to reveal that they were empty; he then walked over to the closet and saw that half of it was now empty. He turned and looked at Clare with an amused grin on his face.
"Are you asking me to move in with you Clare?" Eli asked
"Um not exactly. I am not quite sure that we are fully ready to live together so I thought that it would make things a bit easier if you had things here so you wouldn't have to drag your bag around all the time when you come to spend the night"
"Babe thank you so much for this. It is amazing, but we do need to eventually have the living situation talk. We do need to know what we are going to do once Peanut comes"
"Your right I know you are right but can we just take it one step at a time?" Clare asked
"Yes Babe we can take this one step at a time. Thank you for this my love, it means the world to me. I love you so damn much"
"I love you too Eli. More then you could ever possibly know" Clare smiled at Eli
"Oomph!" Clare exclaimed
"You okay babe?"
Clare looked up at Eli with the biggest smile on her face. She grabbed Eli's hand and brought it to her belly.
"The baby just kicked…do you feel that?"
Just then Eli felt something press up against the palm of his had. Just like that Eli was a grinning fool. Tears sprang into his eyes. He was looking at Clare the love of his life and he was feeling the movements coming from within her. It was his child, their child. This child is one that they made out of love and he couldn't help but feel like everything that had brought them to this point in life was meant to be. They loved each other and they were going to be a family, the past was the past and this was their future.
"Wow Clare that is amazing. That's our baby" Eli said with happy tears in his eyes
"It is our baby Eli. I am so glad you were here to experience that with me" Clare said with a smile.
Eli grabbed Clare and brought her to him. He crashed his lips to hers and kissed her with so much passion and love. This was a kiss that was pure love and happiness.
"Eli" Clare said in a breathless whisper
"Yeah My Love?"
"Make love to me. I know we haven't had sex since we made peanut here but I love you and I never want anyone other then you. You and our soon to be family are the most important things in the world to me. I don't think I can love anyone more then I love the two of you. I want to spend my life loving you and our family we are creating together. So please MY LOVE make love to me. Lets spend tonight just loving each other, even though I know there is more of me to love now a days" Clare giggled
"Clare I promise you that I am going to spend the rest of my life loving you and our family. Peanut wont be our only offspring this I promise you. I will spend all my life and all of tonight loving you"
With that said Eli started to unbutton Clare's blouse. Once he was done with her blouse he moved on to her pants and slowly pulled them down, Eli's lips then found Clare's. He backed her up to the bed and slowly pushed her till her back hit the mattress. Eli proceeded to undress himself until he was only left in his boxers. Clare lifted herself up with her elbows and pulled Eli down to her. They started to kiss feverishly until there was no longer any clothing separating the two of them. Eli kissed his way down to Clare's breasts. He kneaded them in his palms then brought his lips to them slowly sucking in her nipple, he licked and suckled each breast till Clare was close to orgasm. He then trailed his lips down her body to the apex of her thighs; he kissed his way up to where she ached for him the most. Eli slowly inserted two fingers into her.
"God Clare you are so wet for me already"
"Yeah well I have been wanting you for so long, please do not make me wait any longer"
"As you wish my love"
Eli brought himself over Clare and slowly inched his way into her. He sank himself into her until he filled her completely. He started thrusting slowly in and out of her. Clare was grasping at the sheets at how amazing this was feeling; she started to feel that build up in the pit of her stomach. She loved how the two of them just fit together, how they moved together in perfect sink. This is what pure love felt like, that is what the two of them shared with one another. The next thing she knew the two of them were coming together. It was the most amazing feeling for the two of them. They fell asleep that night naked and curled together.
*The next morning at the doctor's office*
Clare and Eli were at the doctor's office waiting to find out if there peanut was a princess or prince.
"OMG could they take any longer I have to pee so god damn bad. Fuck I hate this"
"I'm so sorry Clare if I could go through all of this for you I would. I can only imagine how uncomfortable this is for you"
Eli grabbed her hand and brought it to his lips and placed a kiss on it. He loved her so much and he hated to see her so uncomfortable. Just then the nurse called Clare's name and they were led into an examining room. He reached over and grabbed her hand as she lay on the examining table waiting to find out if they were having a son or a daughter. The doctor came in and proceeded to do her examination.
"So do you guys want to know what you guys are having? I have an 100% view of what your child is would you guys like to know the gender?"
Clare looked over to Eli and with just a look asked Eli if he wanted to know. Eli turned to the doctor and nodded his head.
"Well it looks like the two of you will be needing to buy a lot of pink things for your baby girl"
Clare turned to Eli with tears in her eyes. A baby girl, they were having a little girl. Eli had his own tears in his eyes he was going to have a baby girl, a beautiful daughter who hopefully looks exactly like her mother. The two of them walked out of that doctor's office walking on cloud nine. This was all becoming so real for the two of them in a few short months it would no longer be just Eli and Clare it would be Eli and Clare and their daughter. That thought alone brought smiles to their faces.
