Hello my lovely readers. I hope that you are all well. I am hoping that you still love this story. I know that this story is getting a bit fluffy at the moment but there will be drama as we near the end of the story I pretty much have this story all mapped out in my head, hopefully I can execute it the way it works in my head. I know that Degrassi has been shitty for us ECLARE lovers so I hope this makes up for it. I'm not even watching Degrassi anymore due to the horrible story lines. Well here it is chapter 17. Eli walked back into Clare's apartment at 6 on the dot. He knew that even though to Clare they were celebrating his accomplishments to him they were also celebrating them and their family so he decided to be romantic and pick up a dozen roses for her. Clare walked out of her bedroom wearing a gorgeous black dress that accentuated her growing baby bump. The dress hit her in all the right places and made her look and feel fabulous, she paired the dress with a pair of red heels for a nice splash of color.
"Eli we are celebrating you. You shouldn't have gotten me flowers"
"Babe we are celebrating us too and you deserve so much more then just flowers," Eli said handing her the flowers and kissing her on the cheek
"You are so corny sometimes but ugh…I love you anyways," Clare giggled
"Your damn right you do" Eli laughed "So where are you taking me Ms. Edwards"
"I made us a reservation at Del Frisco's. I think we can both use a delicious steak. I know peanut and me could use the protein. Oomph." Clare grabbed her belly "I think she is excited to eat a fancy steak" Clare said grabbing Eli's hand and placing it on her belly
"Wow that is just so amazing. That's my girl the red meat eater," Eli laughed
Clare leaned forward and kissed Eli, I nice long sweet kiss. When they pulled away from the kiss they were both breathless.
"She takes after her father, who happens to be the most amazingly brilliant man that I know. Now come on Casanova lets go get our daughter fed"
"As you wish Mi Lady. Lets get our girl fed"
At the restaurant Eli and Clare enjoyed an excellent meal and the conversation flowed between the two of them like it always did. It was a relaxing night filled with love and celebrating the things that were great in their lives (their re-connection, the baby and Eli's tony award nominations). As they were finishing up paying the bill and getting ready to leave Clare heard a voice cut into her and Eli's conversation.
"Saint Clare? Is that you?"
Clare turned around and gasped at who it is that she saw standing at the end of her table. She could not believe who she was looking at.
"Holy Shit, Johnny DiMarco?" Clare asked
"The one and only. I saw you sitting here and I just thought to myself for the longest time that, that couldn't be little Saint Clare sitting there making out with the guy in all black. It seems that I was pleasantly mistaken. How are you?"
Clare stood up and gave Johnny a hug.
"I am doing great. How about you? What brings you to New York? Oh by the way this is My Boyfriend Eli. Eli this is Johnny, I don't know if you ever met him when you went there but he is yet another Degrassi survivor"
The two men shook hands and exchanged pleasantries
"Well I am in New York cause of work. I work for Lawson and Anderson law firm. How about you what brought you to New York?" Johnny asked
"Oh I came here after college I am the entertainment editor at the New York Times"
"Wow Clare that is amazing and you Eli what do you do?"
"Oh I am a playwright and director"
"That is interesting is that how the two of you met?"
"Oh no the two of us met back at Degrassi. Eli here was a year ahead of me and we dated back then. Then we lost touch and met back up recently when I did a review on his play. We are celebrating him and his play being nominated for a few Tony Awards" Clare said proudly
"Wow that is very impressive. Congratulations Eli that is exciting. And it seems like other congratulations are in order if I am not mistaken it seems that you Miss Saint Clare are with child?"
"Oh yeah I am. We are expecting a baby girl in a few short months." Clare said with a huge smile on her face
"That really is great Clare. I am happy for you, you seem so happy."
"I am. I have everything I could possibly ever want. Life is good right now"
"So how is SHE? Is she doing good?" Johnny asked
"She is great Johnny really. She lives out here in New York. She is a Neurosurgeon at
Mount Sini. Hey you should come to my baby shower. It is a coed baby shower and she will be there, you two could catch up. I know that she would be happy to see you" Clare said pulling out a shower invite out of her purse. "Think about it. I know she would love to see you"
"You know what I think that I will just do that. Thank You Clare you always were kind of awesome I was just too much of a jackass to give you the credit."
"That is true I am pretty awesome" Clare laughed "But seriously Johnny we were in High School, we all do stupid shit at that age and we all act like jackasses. Just be sure to be there with an awesome gift to make up for it" Clare chuckled
"Oh I will. Well I guess I will see you in a few weeks. It was great to see you Clare and it was great to meet you Eli. Be sure to take care of this one and treasure her. She deserves nothing but the best"
"Oh I will and I know she does. It was great too meet you too. See you in a few weeks"
Johnny turned and walked away. Clare turned to Eli with a huge grin on her face. She gave him a big hug and kiss and sighed happily.
"I don't think I have ever been this happy in my whole entire life. I love you so much Eli. Thank you for this amazing life that you have given me"
"There is no need to thank me Clare. The way I look at it is we are both giving each other every thing. I Love you Clare and this life of ours is only going to continue to get better"
"MOVE IN WITH ME!" Clare all but shouted
"W-w-what?"
"Move in with me, with us" Clare said placing her hand on her belly "Lets be a family and live together and have all of our moments together, I love you and I want us all to be together"
"Nothing would make me happier on this earth then to be living with my girls. I will put my place on the market tomorrow and start slowly moving my things into your place"
"Our place. It's our place. Me and you we are building this life together and I can not wait for it all to play out"
Eli grabbed Clare and sealed his mouth to hers. This was heaven to him, having his girl in his arms. She was his whole world, he took Clare back to Their home and made sweet love to her not once but twice. For the first time in 10 years he felt complete and like he had truly found his HOME.
THERE IT IS CHAPTER 17. I HOPE YOU ALL LIKED IT. WERE YOU SURPRISED ABOUT HER RUN IN WITH JOHNNY? I HAVE ALWAYS FELT THAT HE WAS THE BEST FOR ALLI. SO IN THE NEXT CHAPTER WE WILL BE HAVING THE BABY SHOWER, THERE WILL BE A LOT OF PPL IN THAT CHAPTER SO I AM THINKING I WILL EITHER MAKE IT A VERY LONG CHAPTER OR IT WILL BE SPLIT INTO 2 SEPARATE CHAPTERS, BUT I CAN TELL YOU I HAVE ALREADY STARTED IT AND IT WILL BE POSTED IN A WEEK AND A HALF. PLEASE REVIEW AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK. ALSO STILL LOOKING FOR BABY NAME SUGESSTIONS. LOVE YOU GUYS
