Author's Note: I know it's short and you guys might think it's a little rushed, but I kinda liked what was going on and I probably rushed it because I was excited to get the concept out to you guys. I'm really bad at that whole revision thing. Once i write something I just want to throw it at you guys and be like "GUYS LOOK LOOK LOOK BE PROUD OF ME I WROTE SOMETHING AND IT MAKES ME HAPPY BECAUSE THE IDEA IS AWESOME AND I WANT YOU GUYS TO LIKE IT BECAUSE IF YOU LIKE IT THAT MAKES IT ALL WORTH IT" and so yeah that's why i tend to rush to publish things and the writing isn't as awesome as it could be. Anyways, I hope you guys like this, let me know what you guys think :)

Without any more hesitation the redhead threw herself out of her bed and chased after the older woman. She made it outside just as Shego sped off.

"So… we chasing after her or were you chasing her out of the house?" asked a voice from right beside her.

"Mo?" Kim said in a slightly confused tone. "Why are you still here?"

"I passed by Shego while I was on my way out and she told me I should stick around in case I needed to help you bury the body. So, do we need to chase after her or leave her be?"

Kim shook herself out of her surprise and said, "Chase after her."

"Right then," Mo grinned, hopping into her car and unlocking the passenger door. "Hop in."

The two sped off after the older woman who was paying no attention to her surroundings and hadn't noticed she was being followed.

Shego drove straight to GJ barely paying attention to traffic signals and running more than one red light.

Kim and Monique sped into the parking lot of GJ just as they saw Shego slam the front door of the building.

As Kim got out of the car her best friend asked, "So what's the game plan?"

Kim froze.

"No plan? That was a 20minute drive… you had time to come up with something, right?"

The redhead scratched the back of her head, "I figured I'd wing it. I always do."

Monique sighed but let it go. "I'll wait in the car. Tell me what happens after, ok?"

Kim nodded and headed towards the building. She had a feeling Shego wouldn't be in her office but in Betty's. She was right.

She burst into Betty's office to find Shego sitting on Betty's desk sulking.

"Kimberly? What are you doing here?" Betty asked. She pushed away from her desk and into Kim's view, having previously been hidden by Shego's body.

"I need to talk to Shego."

"I don't wanna talk," the green skinned woman replied.

Betty rolled her eyes. "You guys work this out. I'm going to get some coffee." She walked out the door and locked it as she left, giving the girls some privacy.

"Shego… We have to talk things out."

The older woman was silent for a while before replying, "Every time we try to talk things out we fight."

"Maybe we need to fight. It's the only way we'll actually say what we mean."

Shego didn't respond.

"Can you look at me?" Kim asked, her voice quivering slightly.

Slowly Shego turned around on the desk and her eyes met with olive ones. "Happy?"

"I'd be happier if we could actually talk this whole thing out."

"What's there to talk out?"

"Well, you saying you like me is one of those things."

"What exactly do you want to hear from me about that?"

"I kind of want to know when you started to like me… That's a place to start right?"

Shego sighed. "It was after you started to like me, that I know for certain."

Kim was a little taken aback. "How would you know that?"

"Right before I left to travel the world… you were pretty obvious when you gave me a kiss."

The redhead said in a flustered tone, "That doesn't mean I liked you then! It was only a kiss on the cheek!"

Shego raised an eyebrow. "You didn't like me then?"

"Well I did… but I wasn't that obvious."

"You kind of were. Anyways, I guess it was some time during those two years when we were talking. I found myself enjoying the emails we sent back and forth, and I think that's the main reason I stopped traveling the world. I guess at that point I knew I was screwed. I wanted to come back here and see you."

A red tint slowly came over Kim's face. "You came back to see… me?"

"Yeah. That's also when I realized that you were going to hurt me."

"What? Hurt you? Why would I…?"

"Because I knew I was going to hurt you."

Kim furrowed her brow. "You were planning to hurt me?"

Shego shook her head. "I was never planning to hurt you, but I always thought I would. Like I said before, I had a messed up family. Love was always a bad thing to have because loving someone means what they say influences you. If they don't like something about you, you'll want to change it because it feels bad. I didn't know when it would happen, but I knew it would happen."

"But you still came back… for me?"

"Yeah. Then that whole mission came up and I had to make it seem like I didn't care about you going to your possible death and because I knew that would anger you I knew it would hurt me in the end. I'd hurt you and you would hurt me. That's what happens when two people like each other. It's a circle of pain. My family taught me that."

"Well fuck your family," Kim huffed.

The older woman was surprised by the girl's language.

"Families aren't supposed to hurt each other. People you love aren't supposed to hurt you. The fact that they hurt you is proof that they weren't a good family. You shouldn't base your perception of love off of that."

"I don't exactly have anything else to base it off of. Family is family, you learn a lot from them. I learned that love hurts."

Kim got up and walked over to her. "It doesn't have to you know." She gently cupped the older woman's cheek, forcing their eyes to meet and said, "When you love someone you don't have to cause them pain."

Shego leaned into the girl's touch and smiled sadly, "You don't always mean to cause one another pain, it just happens."

The redhead leaned forward and pressed her forehead to Shego's. "You're right. There's always going to be pain. It exists in every relationship… but I think that as long as there's much more good… then it makes it all worth it."

Shego stared into Kim's eyes and slowly her apprehension began to melt and she leaned forward. She could feel the younger girl's breath on her lips and before she realized what she wanted, she was leaning in for a taste.
