'Good catch, honey,' Rose called to Emmett as he caught a speeding ball.

Everyone for the wedding had arrived early this morning and we were in the large group of grass fields that was surrounded by trees. There was a group playing rounder's; Rose and Emmett, along with some others, were playing baseball; others playing cricket; Jane was playing volleyball with three friends; there were a load of vampires playing football; there were so many people playing different things that it was impossible to list them all. The area we were on was absolutely massive and it was a reasonable way away from any houses and, therefore, annoyingly far away from the castle but that was all necessary if we didn't want to get caught.

I laughed as Garret, an American nomad who was a good friend to my Uncle Carlisle, pretend groaned in disappointment at being caught out.

'Bad luck, Garret,' Uncle Carlisle laughed.

We had been out for about two hours but I hadn't played many games since Alec and I had been wondering around talking to other people who were watching the games and those who were playing but weren't "up-to-bat".

I noticed that Esme, true to her mothering fashion, didn't play many games but umpired most of them, something I followed her lead in doing. Like Esme knew that the people in her family cheated, I knew that some in mine would as well – it was just a vampire's competitive nature.

'Who's winning?' I called to Alec as I walked over to the game he was playing with some of nomads from Asia.

'We are, Izzy,' called Lux happily and I smiled even though she was on the opposite team to Alec.

'Congratulation,' I laughed to her, wrinkling my nose teasingly towards Alec.

I had met Lux and her mate, Aran, soon after I left the Volturi. Aran was originally from Thailand while Lux from Scotland and they both drank human blood from the Asian region, it was due to the second fact that I didn't stay with them very long but they were the first people I met that wasn't at some point living in Volterra so it made them kind of special to me.

Lux was pretty with curly long blond hair and a heart-shaped face with a slightly pointed chin and roundish almond shaped eyes which right now were a deep red colour of a recently fed vampire. Aran had a slight olive tint to his skin, black hair and round Asian eyes.

When rain started to lightly drip but not enough to deter any one from playing, Alec and I left to check on the concert preparations since that would start soon. When we got there they had just finished setting up the stage and were testing the microphones and speakers.

'How's it going?' Alec called up to the people walking on the stage.

'Yep,' shouted a man after receiving a thumb up from someone else. 'We're done so whenever you're ready.'

'We'll send everyone over in a few minutes,' I yelled since these people were human, that fact should be okay considering most the vampires here were old enough to not go crazy at the scent at human blood and those that weren't were surround by the ones that were. Plus Renata was going to extend her physical shield to protect them.

Our mini-concert lasted for hours with different bands and performances playing a variety of their songs. It went on for the early hours of the morning but I wasn't there to see the end.

'Izzy!' Jane said from where she was standing next to me. 'It's five to midnight!'

I glanced at the fancy watch she was showing me and saw that she was telling the truth. Kissing her on the cheek, I weaved my way through the crowd in search of Alec. I found him standing near the stage with the Irish coven, who I said a few words to before turning to my fiancé.

'It's almost midnight,' I told him and his face turned from curiosity as to why I had come to find him to understanding.

I stood on my tiptoes and wrapped my arms around his neck, kissing him deeply. The next time I would see him would be when I walked down the aisle and the idea of that was so excited, that I was smiling as we kissed. When our kiss had died down to pecks, I placed one on his cheek and spun away from him in the direction of the castle.

'I love you,' I threw cheekily over my shoulder.

'I love you more!' he called him return.

Knowing that if we started this we would never stop, I waited till I was almost out of his hearing distance and then said, 'I love you most,' blew him another kiss and disappeared before he could reply.

Such a short chapter, I know, but I felt it was okay this way so here it is. I hope you like it, please review x
