Chapter Twenty-One: The End Of Mothra
Godzilla grabbed Ghidorah by the nape of the neck of its' middle head. Lifting the creature backwards, Godzilla was about to unleash a burst of atomic fire down Ghidorah's throat similar to how he killed the Female MUTO, but before he could, Ghidorah took flight, leaving Godzilla gawping numbly into the sky.
The three-headed monster slashed at a nearby building with her tail, sending the skyscraper tumbling to the ground, falling apart as it fell. Godzilla was quickly showered and buried by the falling debris. The King Of The Monsters managed a whine of pain and agony before disappearing under the rubble of the building.
Ghidorah screeched in triumph and slowly descended, charging an unimaginably powerful energy pulse as she hovered above the city. Without warning, Ghidorah dropped from the sky and time itself seemed to freeze for a moment as she hit the ground. A bright yellow light flashed with furious intensity, unleashing a powerful shockwave upon impact, flipping entire buildings as the ground flipped like a wave.
/Meanwhile...
Rosa, Serizawa and Thompson had just made it to the Courthouse when the city was filled with a blinding light. Serizawa feared that a nuclear bomb had went off, but barley had time to think about it as the resulting shockwave sent him flying into the ceiling before falling to the floor again.
As he slowly got up, Serizawa stumbled over to the window, to see Ghidorah standing in a massive crater -the source of the blast. He turned to see if the others were alright when he heard a shriek from outside.
Mothra swooped overhead, struggling to stay in the air from her shredded wings as she closed on Ghidorah, letting of bursts of flame and electricity, stunning the giant monster. Ghidorah barley had time to shake off the disorientation before she realised Mothra's intentions. If Mothra was going down, Ghidorah was going with her.
Mothra slammed into Ghidorah with immense speed, the resulting impact caused a flash of blue light as a huge explosion shook the ground. Ghidorah flew backwards, landing on a nearby building. Mothra was gone, reduced to ashes which slowly fell from the sky.
"Oh God...Mothra...no..." Dianna trailed off in fear and despair, quickly mourning the fallen monster.
Meanwhile, the ground beneath one of the fallen buildings began to glow a bright blue.
