Jane ran ahead and gathered people she believed should be present or she thought would be needed. So when Alec entered the throne room people were already gathered there: the three kings, Carlisle, Demetri, Felix and Sophie. Jane stood by Isabella's throne speaking quietly to Carlisle who was learning on the back of it once again and Alec wondered if there was something sentimental about that action
'Should I fetch the princepessa, Principe Alec?' Demetri teasingly asked Alec once the newborn was in Felix's grasp and Alec sent him an evil look in return: he was no prince, he had just married a princess. Luckily, Aro was letting him stay more on the guard side of things than anything else. So that meant he didn't have to have a throne, something that pleased him greatly, and didn't have to be referred to as "principe" or "your highness". Isabella of course found that highly depressing as he wouldn't have to deal with it like she had for all of her life. But then he began seriously debating what he had asked.
'Nah, leave Izzy,' he muttered, glaring at the newborn. 'She's not feeling well.'
The newborn let out a wild grin of satisfaction and that was enough for Aro as he asked in a strangely cold voice, 'what did you do to my daughter?'
'Killing me won't save her,' the newborn cackled and, though his fear, Alec wondered if vampires could be mad. 'She'll die.'
Carlisle grabbed Jane's arm though he seemed to be restraining himself and Demetri did the same to Alec as he went to leap at the new vampire in anger. Aro was shaking but then Sophie shook her head.
'He's lying,' she said confidently.
'So Isabella will be fine?' Carlisle asked though Alec wasn't sure who to and for the moment he didn't care, he only wanted to hear the answer.
'Why would I tell you any-?' the newborn didn't finish but he suddenly began screaming, Alec's eyes, like everyone else's, flickered to Jane, who was now the one shaking. Alec's gaze moved to Carlisle, who used to try stop Jane from using her power even on those who deserved it, but this time he was simply cringing, apparently he was open to any methods to make his niece well again.
'That's why,' Jane said as she stopped her power leaving the newborn panting. 'Now answer the question - will the Principessa be okay?'
'Yes!' the newborn gasped out trying to speak before Jane used her power again. 'She can't die from my gift.'
There was a collective sigh of relief throughout the room before Caius spoke.
'Why are doing this?' his voice his usually harsh, cold sound.
'She made me!' the newborn exclaimed. 'Victoria, to try and get her revenge before the fight.'
'When are they going to attack?' Aro learned forward.
'End of September but I swear that's all I know.'
'My daughter,' Aro said, 'remove your gift from her.'
They could all see that the newborn for some reason was going to refuse but before he could Jane set her power on him again.
'Fine! Fine! I'll do it!' he screamed and Jane switched the power of immediately.
Once he appeared to have done it, Alec noticed that Carlisle speed off no doubt to check on Isabella and though he wanted to follow he thought he better take care of this.
'Felix,' Aro said, lazily waving a hand but the newborn screeched as Felix's hands moved to rip him apart.
'I did everything you asked! You can't kill me.'
'That's where you'll fine we can,' Caius replied. 'The Volturi don't offer second chances.'
A scream echoed through the castle as my uncle burst through the door.
'What was that?' I asked, shooting toward him; I had suddenly felt like my normal self a few minutes ago but instead of answering me, my uncle just beamed down at me.
'Uncle!' I yelped as he picked me up and swung me around. 'What's going on?'
'How do you feel?' he asked a wide grin on his face.
'Normal,' I replied and was wrapped in a tight hug.
'Thank god,' he muttered into my hair. 'That, my beloved niece, was the sound of the Felix killing your illness.'
I followed my uncle slowly back to the throne and saw my husband standing there explaining how I had suggested that he go have a look round the city. He didn't get much further as he noticed my presence and ran toward me, placing a kiss on my lips and I laughed slightly.
'Feel better?' he asked resting his forehead against mine..
'I feel fine,' I assured him, wrapping my hands around his neck. 'I promise.'
I pressed another kiss to his lips and then spun out of his grip, 'what happened?'
'Alec was just tell us, my dear,' my father answer sending Alec a look causing Alec to launch back into what happened.
My father could just read his thoughts but I think the two of them had a mutual agreement not to since I knew Alec had thought and seen things my father would never want to see, basically meaning our honeymoon. I shuddered at the thought of my father knowing that much about my life: I never let him read my thoughts either for I knew I had thought things that I would never want him to hear for they would hurt him to much.
The Cullen's slowly filled in as Alec spoke and I was wrapped in tight hugs from all of them, even my other uncles made their way from their throne to speak to me though they said nothing, still listening to Alec. My father was the last one to hug me which caught in my brain in comparison to my uncle who had come to find me. I tried not to let it get to me as I stood next to Jane, her arms staying wrapped around me.
After that we all went back to planning since we apparently now knew a more specific time frame for what we were working on and I once again took my seat at the other end of the table as my father and pretended to listen to what was going on since the first few minutes would be informing the rest of the guard what had happened.
