*AudreyDarke96 - Hey, girl! I KNOW you're my biggest fan ever! Here's the next chapter! I hope you like it! :)
*CobraQueen35 - No, it's not bad that you laughed. Most of my dedicated fans, like Audrey, already know that I have a different sense of humor. I laughed while I was typing it, so you are completely normal and awesome in my book. :)
WARNINGS: I have only seen the Vampire Diaries up to the part where Damon and Elena were kissing at a hotel. I'm pretty sure that was way back into Season 3. So, anything that I say that pertains to things after that is solely based on things I've read or seen off the internet. Also A LOT of Elena bashing. DON'T LIKE? DON'T READ!

The Definition of Mine
I watched as Kol calmly strolled towards us then casually placed one arm around my waist and said sarcastically.
"Beautiful, isn't it?"
I slowly closed my eyes and replied.
"Kol, please tell me you didn't do this."
My eyes instantly flashed open when he spun me around to face him and replied with a smirk.
"By this, you mean the burning library?"
I gave him a simple nod. Kol merely laughed and replied.
"If I said I didn't do it, I would be lying, darling."
I stared directly into his eyes and asked.
"Why, Kol? You could have gotten hurt. Someone else could have gotten hurt. Did you at least check to see if there were people inside the building?"
Kol merely raised a questioning eyebrow and replied seriously.
"Why would I waste my time checking for some worthless humans?"
My eyes grew wide in disbelief and I instantly said.
"You're kidding."
I then turned to Klaus and asked.
"He's kidding, right?"
Klaus merely smirked and replied.
"No, love, he is not. Kol doesn't care much for humans. They are all nothing but walking blood bags to him."
I quickly looked over at Kol and demanded.
"Is that true?"
Kol smirked and replied.
"Actually, walking blood bags, is putting my view on humans nicely."
I could feel my temper slowly rising, but I questioned once again.
"What if there had been children in there, Kol?"
"All humans die eventually, darling."
That did it! That was the last freaking straw!
"YOU ... YOU ... FREAKING *SSHOLE! I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU, KOL! YOU ARE SUCH AN INCONSIDERATE DOUCHEBAG! WHAT DO YOU MEAN, "ALL HUMANS DIE EVENTUALLY?" ARE YOU INSANE! A CHILD HASN'T EVEN HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE LIFE! I ... I ... AM SO PISSED OFF AT YOU, RIGHT NOW! I SWEAR TO YOU THAT IF I CHILD WAS HURT BECAUSE OF YOUR SELFISHNESS, YOU WILL NEVER SEE ME AGAIN!"
With that parting threat, I pushed past him and stalked back inside. How dare he? If he hated humans, that was fine. Although, there was absolutely no reason for him to be so inconsiderate towards children! Stupid Kol! Then it was like the universe was purposely trying to mess with me. Since, as I was walking towards our original table, a little girl, no older than five, came up to me and said.
"Excuse me, can you help me find my mommy?"
I wanted to literally break down crying at her saddened and slightly frightened look, but I held it in. I was the adult, and I had to set a good example for her. So, I gave her a sweet smile and replied.
"Of course, sweetie. Let's go find your mommy. Do you remember where was the last place you saw her?"
She slowly rubbed her eyes then pointed towards one of the booths farthest from the bar and said.
"Me, my mommy, and daddy, were right there just a second ago, but I had to go to the potty. Mommy wanted to take me, but I told her I was a big girl and I could go by myself. When I finished at the potty and came back. They were both gone, and so was everyone else."
She then waved her hand around The Grill and cried.
"See, everyone already went home! My mommy and daddy left me! I don't want to be a big girl if my mommy and daddy are going to leave me!"
And just like that, she broke down in tears. Call it motherly instinct, or human sympathy, but as soon as she began to sob, I carefully knelt down to her level and wrapped my arms around her. I slowly caressed her long strawberry hair and reassured.
"No, no, sweetie. That's not what happened. You see, something very big that only grown ups can see is going on outside. Your mommy and daddy are probably out there trying to help. Don't be sad. They'll be back here to get you in no time."
She then sniffed a little and asked in her small voice.
"Really?"
I smiled and replied honestly.
"Really, sweet-heart. Also, there's nothing wrong with becoming a big girl and doing things by yourself. That's actually a very good thing. By you going to the potty by yourself, you're making your parents very proud. As you get bigger and do more things by yourself, your parents will only grow to be more proud of you."
She then slowly moved herself away from me and asked.
"So, my mommy and daddy are proud of me because I went to the potty by myself?"
I nodded and replied sincerely.
"Yes, they are. Like I said, they're probably just outside. Why don't we go back to your table and wait for them?"
At this, she smiled and quickly replied.
"Yes, ma'am!"
She then took hold of my hand and dragged me towards her booth. I helped her carefully slide in and then sat down across from her. She then began to nervously play with her fingers until she finally said.
"Miss, what's your name?"
I gave her a small smile and replied.
"My name is Diamond. What is your name?"
She then smiled brightly and replied.
"My name is ... "
It was then that a woman with light red hair came barging into The Grill screaming.
"Miranda! Miranda! Where are you, baby? Miranda!"
That was when the little girl jumped out of her seat and yelled.
"Mommy!"
The woman instantly turned towards us and ran straight for her daughter. She instantly picked her up and exclaimed.
"Mommy is so sorry, sweet-heart! Something very bad happened and your father and I went to see what we could do to help! Oh, thank God you're okay!"
Little Miranda hugged her mother tightly then said.
"I'm fine, mommy. Miss Diamond took care of me. She's very nice."
Her mother then looked back towards me and gave me a bright smile. She then came towards me and stuck her hand out for me to shake it. I took it hesitantly and she instantly said.
"Thank you so much for watching over her. I am very thankful that you didn't let her see what happened. If there is anything that I ..."
I stopped her right there and replied.
"She's still too young to witness something like that, and it was my pleasure to watch over her. She's a very polite little girl. The kids of today seem to have no manners towards their elders, yet she seems to be an exception. I congratulate you for raising her in such a way. You should be very proud."
Her mother then gave me a bright smile and replied.
"Yes, I am very proud of her. Once again, thank you so much."
It was then that I decided I might as well ask the question that was bothering me so much. I stared directly at the woman and said.
"You are quite welcome. Would you perchance know if there were any people within the uhh ..."
I didn't want to finish my sentence since Miranda didn't know what had happened. Her mother seemed to understand and replied.
"Thank heavens no. It was actually being reconstrusted and the handy men left home early today."
I huge giant wave of relief quickly washed over me at her words. I quickly gave her a curt nod then waved at little Miranda and made my way towards my table. I was nearly there when I heard a small voice say.
"Miss Diamond! Miss Diamond! Wait, please!"
I quickly spun around and watched little Miranda run up to me. Once she was standing right infront of me, she pulled out a small butterfly clip from her hair and handed it towards me. I took it hesistantly and replied.
"Sweetie, you don't have to give me anything."
She then gave me a huge smile and replied.
"But I want to. That's for taking care of me and being so nice. I want you to remember me all the time."
I gave a small laugh and replied.
"I'll always remember you, Miranda. Your hair is definitely the prettiest shade of red I've ever seen. Besides, it's a little hard for me to forget such a polite little girl. Take care of yourself, okay? And listen to your mommy and daddy."
She smiled then replied politely.
"Yes, ma'am."
With that, she quickly spun around and made her way back towards her mother. I smiled then decided to go to the restroom so I could put on my new clip. I carefully adjusted my headband and managed to get the small clip in my hair. I then proceeded to wash my hands when I heard someone knocking on the door. There were several bathrooms. Why would they be knocking? Suddenly, I heard a familiar voice say.
"Diamond, love, are you quite done?"
I quickly moved to open the door and replied.
"Yes, Klaus, I'm done."
I stared up at him and he merely smirked at me. He then grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the bathroom. He quickly dragged me to our table and made me sit right next to him with him blocking my view of the entrance. I stared at him questioningly and he merely replied.
"Kol is a bit ... how do you say it? Unstable. Yes, that's the word. My little brother is ... Ugh, who am I kidding? Kol is trying to murder everyone in town, love."
"WHAT!"
I quickly tried to rise from my seat, but Klaus pulled me down then said.
"Elijah and Bekah are taking care of him. Besides, considering you are the one that brought out his psychotic tendencies, I do not believe him seeing you would be the best. We need you alive, sweet-heart, and if Kol gets his hands on you that may change. That is why I am here protecting you. Care for a drink?"
I stared at Klaus dumbly for several seconds before I lowered my head and replied.
"No, thank you."
Klaus merely smiled then went to the unattended bar and grabbed a whole bottle of bourbon. He then took a swing out of it and came to sit back down. I carefully grabbed Chucky from the chair I had placed him and began to nervously play with his hair. My heart was thumping at nearly a hundred miles an hour. Kol was upset? That wasn't good! That wasn't good at all! A ticked-off Kol was never a good thing! What if he killed everyone in town? No, he wouldn't. Kol wouldn't do something so impulsive, right? Oh my God! Who the heck was I kidding? Of course, he would! He's Kol!
Kol being upset was all my fault. I had to make it right. As soon as I saw him, I would apologize to him and see if maybe he would forgive me. Then again, he had decided to kill everyone in town even though I was the one to make him mad. That showed that he would rather kill someone else rather than me, right? He sort of cared for me in his own twisted way. He cared enough to not come barging into The Grill and rip out my heart. Something that he could have easily done. I sighed and hugged Chucky close to my chest. It was then that I heard Elijah's voice say.
"Kol is ... no longer attempting to slaughter the entire town."
I quickly looked up and noticed Klaus laugh then reply.
"Congratulations, Elijah. You did the unaccomplishable. You stopped Kol from going on a killing spree."
Elijah then took a seat across from us and replied calmly.
"Not necessarly. I merely was able to keep him from slaughtering the entire town. Kol will, unfortunately, still kill several people this evening. I attempted to persuade him to at least go outside of Mystic Falls, but he refused."
I took a deep breath and slowly lowered my head once again. Kol was ... unstable. Why? Oh, why? Did I have to make him mad? I cared about Kol, I truly did. Not only that, but I liked him very much. I mean, yeah, he did think and do some very questionable things, but there were several reasons he was like that. A murderous and neglectful mother and father, being daggered for an entire century, and watching how humans slowly went downhill would surely have an impact on someone. Add being a vampire and having Klaus as a role model. It's kinda two plus two. Nobody would be completely sane after living through all of that.
I truly wanted to help Kol. I didn't want to change him. I just wanted him to know that he was not alone. I wanted him to see me as someone he could trust. I wanted to be there for him. He deserved at least some form of peace and tranquility in his life. I honestly just wanted to be his friend. Yeah, I did like him like him, but that just wasn't possible.
Although, my heart was simply way too open and sensitive. I had a really strong feeling that if I remained here for too long, I would end up falling in love with Kol. I knew this for a fact because I could already feel myself growing concerned for his well-being. If I wasn't careful, this small little crush would eventually grow into something that could cause many problems.
I gave a sad sigh then looked up to see that many of the people from outside were returning. I caught sight of Bonnie and she gave me a small smile. I returned it sadly then lifted Chucky to where he was facing me and had his head on one of my shoulders. I began to caress his back and slowly lowered my head towards the table. It was then that I heard a familiar feminine voice say.
"Honestly, I don't understand you, Diamond. You say he's a serial killer, yet you treat him as if he were your child."
I slowly looked up and noticed Rebekah casually make her way towards us and sit next to Elijah. I gave her a small smile and replied.
"Because to me, he's not Chucky the Killer Doll. To me, he's just my Chucky. You may not know this about me, Rebekah, but I collect dolls. Mainly stuffed animals because the other ones just creep me out."
Rebekah frowned at me for several seconds then eventually said.
"You and Kol are meant for each other. You are both insane."
It was then that Klaus laughed and said.
"Oh, I wouldn't be too sure of that."
Rebekah narrowed her eyes and asked curiously.
"What do you mean, Nik?"
It was Elijah who answered her by saying.
"This will not end well."
I quickly looked over at him and realized he was staring back towards the door. I slowly looked around Klaus and felt my heart shatter. It was Kol and another woman. He was completely enjoying himself, kissing her neck and tickling her sides. He was laughing right along with her fake girlish giggles. They were both playing around, until they reached the far end of The Grill and Kol pressed her up against the wall. I wanted to look away, but for some reason I couldn't. I watched as Kol cupped her face and kissed her fully on the lips.
I really had no way to explain my reaction. I immediately rose from my seat and dashed right out the front door. I heard Klaus and Elijah yelling after me, but I ignored them. I quickly ran across the street, to the small town square, and ran around to the bench farthest from The Grill. I held Chucky near my face and used him to cover my tears from the world. Why was I crying? I couldn't already be ... No! Please, no! I couldn't ...
As the realization dawned on me that only made me cry harder. I had to leave. I couldn't stay here. I had to go back home. It was then that I heard a familiar voice yell.
"Love, you need to come back!"
I quickly rose from the bench and hid behind some bushes. Klaus tried again and this time said it more threateningly.
"I will find you, Diamond! My brother's an imbecil, but you already knew that. So, quit being so dramatic and come back!"
I remained completely still and silent. I was just about to make my move when I felt someone grab my shoulder. I covered my mouth with Chucky, so I wouldn't scream, and looked up at my captor. Imagine my surprise when it was an all too familiar and terryfing face. I immediately jumped back and exclaimed.
"Silas!"
Who I thought was Silas stared at me in confusion then said.
"No, my name is Stefan Salvatore. Are you hidding from Klaus?"
I gaped at him then stuttered.
"Well, no, not exactly. I'm just a ... What happened is ... The uhh ... Honestly, I don't know."
He stared at me questioningly and asked.
"You don't know if you're hiding?"
I gave him a simple nod. Stefan simply sighed and replied.
"Very well then. Come with me, I'll keep you safe."
He then took a hold of my hand and quickly pulled me towards a random shop. We quickly went inside and Stefan hastily pushed me behind a large cabinet as he pretended to stare at some random book. He frowned at it then proceeded to grab another one. He casually moved around the store for like three minutes straight until he finally came towards me and said.
"What exactly did you do to have all of the Originals hunting you down? Not only did I see Klaus outside yelling, but Elijah, Rebekah and even Kol were out there. What happened?"
I took a deep breath then replied.
"The Originals are my sort of guardians during my stay here in Mystic Falls. It won't be long before they find me."
Stefan frowned and asked seriously.
"Your guardians?"
I nodded and replied.
"Well, I guess technically it's Elijah considering my mom thinks he's my supervisor."
Stefan then gave me a stiff nod and asked.
"What happened? Why did you run away?"
At that, I lowered my head and clutched Chucky tightly towards my chest. I then took a deep breath and replied.
"I ... I saw something ... unpleasant. So, I just kind of ran off."
I hesitantly looked up at him and realized he had a look of understanding on his face. Stefan then sighed and said.
"I understand. Come with me. I'll protect you."
I hesitated and replied.
"I don't know. I mean you don't really know me and I don't know you. How do I know I can trust you?"
Stefan merely gave me a small smile and replied.
"That's right, but don't worry. I promise not to hurt you. As a matter of fact, I'll take you to The Grill there's always many people there."
That's exactly where I was running from. Although, I really liked Stefan and I really wanted to talk to him some more. So, I gave him a small smile and replied.
"Ok, as long as there's people around, I guess it's okay."
Stefan smiled as well then extended his hand towards me and I carefully took it. He made sure to look around before he pulled me out of the store and led us back to The Grill. Once we reached inside, the entire Scooby Gang turned to stare at us. Stefan completely disregarded them and directed me to a separate booth. We both sat down and Stefan instantly took on his serious vampire look. I gave a genuine smile at that and waited for his questions. As expected, Stefan stared directly at me and asked seriously.
"When you first saw me you called me Silas. What do you know about him and the Cure?"
I smiled and replied calmly.
"I know that Silas looks exactly like you and that Elena doesn't deserve you."
That made his serious expression drop. I gave him a kind smile and continued.
"You don't need to worry about Silas. Bonnie and I are going to take care of him. As for the Cure, I can honestly tell you that Elena nor anybody in this town will be taking it. I am here to make sure of that."
He frowned and questioned.
"Why?"
I carefully placed Chucky on the table and began adjusting his clothes. Stefan seemed to notice him for the first time, since he blinked several times in confusion. I laughed lightly then replied.
"Aside from the fact that there's only one dose, the Cure is the only thing that we can use to kill Silas. The only way to actually get the Cure is to wake Silas, and trust me you DO NOT want to raise him and NOT shove the Cure down his throat. Silas will kill you all and unleash hell on earth, if he rises."
Stefan stared at me skeptically for several seconds then replied.
"Silas isn't ... "
"Real? Then how about this for a reality check? I had a vision of what will happen if you guys unleash Silas. Bonnie will die. Jeremy will die. Elena will shut off her humanity and kill many people. The dead will walk among the living and many innocent people are going to die. Oh, and did I mention that Silas will attack you and bury you alive because you're his doppleganger? I may be missing some things, but that's really some the things I think you would like to avoid. Any thoughts?"
Stefan eyes were wide in disbelief and horror. I merely leaned back in my seat and placed Chucky on my lap. I waited for several seconds until I heard Stefan say.
"You saw all of that?"
"And then some. Oh, and Elena will sleep with your brother again somewhere down the line. Just thought you might want a head's up, so it doesn't come as such a shock."
Stefan stared at me with, as what I could only describe as, pain-filled eyes. I actually felt really bad for throwing something like that so harshly, so I said.
"I know that what I'm saying is hard, but I honestly like you, Stefan. You deserve better than that. I know of the many things you've done for her and Damon, and for them to do something like that is completely messed up."
Stefan merely looked away from me and turned to stare at Elena. I knew she could hear our converation, but I didn't care. Stefan deserved to know that she was no better than Katherine. I actually held more respect for Katherine than Elena, since Katherine was at least able to admit what and how she was. I calmly turned to stare at Elena and realized she was glaring at me. Man, what I wouldn't give to go punch her teeth in. So, I merely settled for scowling at her and saying.
"That dumb broad has a staring problem. Maybe I should fix it."
Stefan instantly turned to stare at me and replied.
"I get the impression you don't like Elena very much."
I kept my gaze on her and replied.
"That's an understatement. I honestly want her to come and do something. I kicked her *ss last night and I can do it again. For a vampire, she's pretty pathetic."
Stefan sighed and said.
"Hey, we've been talking for a while and I just realized I don't even know your name."
I quickly turned towards him and replied with a smile.
"That's true. I'm sorry about that. My name is Diamond. Nice to meet you."
Stefan smiled back and replied.
"Nice to meet you too. Now, what did you mean by Silas looks just like me?"
"Oh, that? Don't worry too much about that. Bonnie and I will take care of it. Although ... if for some reason Bonnie and I don't return from the Island: if you ever meet yourself and you're not infront of a mirror, I need you to promise me that you'll run."
Stefan stared at me confused and said.
"Wha ... "
I reached over to grab his hand and said.
"Promise me, Stefan. I need you to give me your word that if that ever happens you will run and not come back."
Stefan stared at our conjoined hands then replied sincerely.
"I promise. Why, though?"
I took a deep breath and replied.
"Because if you ever encounter yourself like that then that would mean Bonnie and I failed at killing Silas and he is free. If that happens, he will come after you, Stefan. I know this for a fact. So, in case of a worst case scenario, I want you to be packed and ready to ditch town."
I then slowly removed my hands from his and said with a small laugh.
"Oh, and don't trip about that skank so much. If it's any consolation, she screwed Damon over by making out with Elijah in one of my visions. He doesn't know that, of course, but that's what he gets for betraying blood for a skank."
Stefan's eyes went wide and he instantly exclaimed.
"What!"
It didn't escape my notice how Stefan wasn't the only one to make a loud remark. I actually smiled at the sound of Damon and even Elena's distinct yells. I ignored them completely and said to Stefan.
"Yeah, in my vision she made out with him in order to obtain the Cure from him. She pretended to be Katherine, but Elijah was smart enough to catch her in her lie after they kissed."
I saw how Stefan was now looking in Elena's direction with a look of disappointment on his face. I looked towards her as well and realized she was seething in anger. I merely smiled and said.
"Karma is such a B-I-T-C-H. Always believe in karma because karma can always find a way to make you believe."
Stefan then turned to stare at me and questioned honestly.
"Why are you even telling me all of this? Why did you decide to help us? You don't even know any of us."
I gave him a warm smile and replied sincerely.
"Because I like you Stefan. I respect and admire you for your devotion and loyalty to the people you care about even if they don't deserve it. I know you're not perfect, and I know some of the bad things you have done in your lifetime. Although, those things don't make you Stefan Salvatore. You are your own person with your sins just like everyone else. You deserve happiness, Stefan. That's why I am going to do everything in power to keep Silas from rising and hurting you and everyone in this town."
Stefan seemed completely taken aback by my sincere response and merely stared at me in wonder for several seconds. I carefully lifted Chucky up and began to rock him from side-to-side. Stefan remained staring at me for several seconds more until he smiled and said.
"Thank you, Diamond. You know, if you don't want to stay with the Originals you are more than welcomed to ... "
"That won't be necessary, mate. She's coming with me, right now. Isn't that right, sweet-heart?"
I gulped then slowly looked up Klaus and said.
"Hey, Klaus. How ... um ... how have you been?"
He gave me a sadistic smile and replied.
"I just recently returned from a wild goose chase all over town looking for a certain jewel. My patience is running very thin, but other than that. I am completely fine, love."
His smile then dropped and he said with a glare.
"Now, get up and follow me. We have things to discuss."
I quickly stood from my seat and got out of the booth. I was just about to follow Klaus when I felt someone pull me back and say.
"She doesn't have to go anywhere with you if she doesn't want to."
I quickly looked up and realized Stefan had grabbed my arm and was pulling me back. I noticed how Klaus' eyes flashed with annoyance, and I quickly realized things were about to turn for the worst. Therefore, I gently pulled my arm from Stefan's grasp and replied.
"Stefan, it's okay. I want to go with him. Klaus told my mother that he would be responsible for me, so I have to go with him. I truly appreciate your concern, but I'm fine."
"Your mother let you stay with him?"
I gave him a small nod and replied.
"Yes, my mother and the Originals ... go way back. They ... uhhh ... owed her a favor. So, my mother trusts them with me."
Stefan frowned in disapproval, but decided not to question me. He then glared at Klaus and said.
"We have a problem. It has to do with the ... "
"The Cure and Silas? Yes, I've already been informed. Diamond has already made arrangements to get that taken care of."
He then grabbed my arm and pulled me back to our table. What was up with everyone pulling me around everywhere? Was it, Pull Diamond Around Day? I merely sighed and let him pull me away. It was then that I took a quick look back towards Stefan and realized he was now sitting down in the booth by himself. I could understand why he didn't want to go back to his 'friends'. Therefore, I pulled back on Klaus' arm and asked politely.
"Klaus, can I stay with him? He looks ... wrecked."
Klaus then looked back as well and replied in annoyance.
"You are too kind for your own good, love, but fine. Go save the day."
I instantly smiled and replied.
"Thank you!"
Then I took off back towards Stefan and sat right back infront of him. He quickly raised his head and said.
"I thought ... "
I interrupted him and replied with a smile.
"Klaus said it was okay to chill with you some more. Besides, you look kind of down. Therefore, Dr. Diamond is here to make you feel a whole lot better."
Stefan actually laughed at that and replied.
"You're funny in a weird kind of way."
I shrugged and replied.
"Trust me, you're not the first vampire to think I'm weird. So, what's up, Stefan?"
He sighed then turned to the window and replied honestly.
"I'm not really sure. I don't really know what to do now. Are you sure you and Bonnie can take care of everything? Do you think perhaps you might need some help in your plan?"
I shook my head and replied honestly.
"No, we should be fine. Actually the less people who travel to the Island the better. That way we won't get confused, and there are less opportunities for mistakes. We only have one shot to take down Silas and if we fail well ... we can all just kiss Mystic Falls goodbye."
Stefan then gave me a small nod in understanding and asked.
"So, what exactly are you? You're obviously not human."
I merely smiled and replied.
"Oh, I'm human alright. I'm just a different type of human. I guess I would be what most people call a psychic. I see things that normal humans do not, and if I can prevent the bad stuff from happening then I try my best to do something about it. I honestly just try to do the right thing."
Big fat lie about the psychic deal, but he didn't need to know that. It was more likely for everyone to believe I was psychic, rather than some fan girl from a different universe. Stefan turned to smile at me and replied sincerely.
"You have a big heart. You didn't have to help any of us, yet here you are. What's going to happen once you kill Silas?"
I quickly began to shift Chucky from arm-to-arm and replied.
"I don't really know. I'm not exactly sure what Qetsiyah has in mind for me. She may send me back home. Or, she might let me stay a while. I'm not sure really. I've just got to wait and see."
The thoughts of my home and my family began to make me feel slightly depressed, so I pushed those feelings quickly aside. I then gave Stefan a bright smile and said.
"Okay, no more depressing and boring conversation. You, Mr. Brooding Vamp, need to chillax and have some fun."
Stefan gave me a small smile and said.
"You want to have fun, right now? There's nothing to do. Besides, I really am not feeling ... "
"Nu uh, Mister! You are going to forget that ungrateful broad and live your single life like the handsome vamp you are! Come on!"
I carefully sat Chucky in the booth so he wouldn't fall. Then I grabbed Stefan's hand and forced him to stand with me It was then that Bon Jovi's You Give Love A Bad Name came through the speakers. The universe was seriously on my side right now. I laughed then looked over at Stefan and said.
"I know you like this song, Stefan. Come on, let loose and dance with me."
Stefan smiled back and replied.
"We really shouldn ... "
I quickly looked up at him with my best puppy dog eyes and asked with a trembling lip.
"Is there something wrong with me that you don't want to dance with me? Is it because I'm weird?"
Stefan stared at me with wide eyes and quickly replied.
"What! No! It's just ... Fine, may I have this dance?"
I quickly brightened up and replied with a laugh.
"Yes, please!"
Stefan then quickly twirled me around and we began to dance. I laughed at his sillyness and moved right along with him. On certain parts we would throw our hands in the air and in others Stefan would twirl me around and catch me. In one particular part, I let go of him and danced by myself throwing my hair everywhere. I moved my hips in sync to the drums and began acting out certain parts I liked. Stefan laughed then grabbed my hand and twirled me around towards him. We began dancing together and he quickly said with a smile.
"I didn't know you could dance so well. That was good, Diamond."
I merely laughed at him and replied.
"There's a lot you don't know about me, Stefan! Now, come on and dance with me!"
Stefan merely chuckled and we both continued to jam out to the music. It was during one particular spin that I noticed someone had completely vamped out. I quickly looked at their face and realized I knew the person all too well. It was Kol and he was glaring at us with so much anger that I thought he would explode of pure rage. What was his deal? He had his broad. I obviously was no longer his. Therefore, I merely turned away from him and continued dancing then sang.
"Shot through the heart and you're to blame! You give love a bad name! I play my part and you play your game! You give love a bad name!"
Stefan chuckled at my singing and we continued dancing. Finally, the song reached its end and Stefan released me. I was just about to thank him for the dance, when someone suddenly flashed between us and punched Stefan right in the face knocking him down to the floor. I quickly looked up and saw an extremely furious Kol glaring at Stefan. He then snarled angrily at him and said.
"Do not touch what is mine! Touch her again and I will dismember you limb from limb!"
How dare Kol hit Stefan! I instantly moved around Kol and said.
"Stefan, are you okay? I'm so sorry."
I was just about to grab his hand to pull him up when I felt Kol roughly spin me around and yell.
"And what the hell did you think you were doing! You are mine and nobody touches what belongs to me! What made you think him having his hands all over you was okay!"
That was it, I snapped.
"Maybe the fact that I was never yours! You seemed pretty cozy with your blonde bimbo! Therefore, you never loved or cared about me! So, I can dance with whoever I want and you can just shove it! Now, let go of me, Kol!"
His hold on my hand actually tightened then he instantly got in my face and snarled.
"Is that what you think? My claiming you doesn't mean I love you! My claim on you simply means that you belong to me and no one else! I am the only one allowed to touch you! I am the only one allowed to kiss you! And I am most certainly the only one allowed to bed you!"
And that was when my other hand moved. I quickly flashed my left hand straight across his face with streams of tears falling from my eyes. That was all it took for people to get involved. Klaus and Elijah were instantly at our sides. Klaus roughly removed Kol's hand from my arm and quickly dragged me away, while Elijah stayed with Kol. Klaus quickly took me out the back door then said.
"You know, sweet-heart, I love an independent and strong woman just like any other male, but you always seem to amaze me. You put Kol in his place not only by throwing the truth in his face, but by actually smacking some sense into him. That was very brave you, love. Not even Bekah has been able to smack Kol and walk away unscathed."
I merely gave him a hard stare and didn't reply. I then slowly slid down to the floor on my knees and covered my face as I proceeded to cry. How could Kol treat me like that? He had basically called me his own personal slut. How could he? Everything I was doing was for his sake. I didn't want the Scooby Gang to kill him, so I was looking for ways to help them and keep them away from Kol and the Originals. Taking down Silas, teaming up with Bonnie, telling everyone the truth, all of that was to protect Kol. Yet, that was how he saw me. Klaus, on the other hand, seemed completely lost as to what to do. Since, he merely stood there and said awkwardly.
"Uh, don't cry, love. Do you want a stuffed animal?"
I would have laughed if I wasn't so heart-broken and upset. I merely shook my head sadly and continued to sob. Klaus simply stood there awkwardly for several seconds then said.
"How about some ice cream, sweet-heart?"
I instantly shook my head and I heard Klaus sigh. He then kneeled down infront of me and said seriously.
"Love, I am not good with crying women. Just tell me what you want and it's yours. All you have to do is stop crying."
Poor Klaus. He was truly uncomfortable. Therefore, I quickly wiped my tears away and replied.
"I don't want anything, Klaus. Thank you, though. I think I'm going to be okay."
He stared at me for several seconds then replied.
"If you're sure, sweet-heart. Now, let's go. Bekah is going to kill the both of us because you dirtied your new dress."
I really wasn't going to die from Silas. I was going to get fashionably killed by Rebekah. I gave Klaus a small smile and replied.
"You're right. Rebekah is going to murder me for ruining my new dress."
Klaus gently helped me stand then moved a piece of my hair behind my ear and said.
"My little brother is an imbecil, sweet-heart. It is just such a shame that he found you first."
At that, I quickly stepped away from him and stuttered.
"Uh ... um ... I forgot Chucky!"
Klaus frowned then smirked and replied.
"Do not worry, love. I'll go get him."
He quickly disappeared and flashed back in less than five seconds dangling Chucky upside down by his leg. My eyes grew wide in horror and I instantly snatched him away. I cuddled him close to my chest then said with a sigh.
"Klaus, that's not how you're supposed to hold him."
He smirked and replied.
"Oh? Well then what is the proper technique?"
I smiled then said.
"Here, I'll show you."
I then proceeded to hold Chucky with one arm like a child with his feet around me. I then adjusted him into a different position, where he was facing me and I had his head on one of my shoulders. Finally, I showed him how to hold him like a newborn. I smiled then asked.
"Do you get it now? If you practice with dolls then when you have to hold a real baby you'll be an expert."
Klaus gave me a contemplative look then answered.
"I see what you mean love. Thank you."
I was just about to tell him it was no problem when he suddenly snatched me up in his arms like a newborn. I was about to protest when he said with a smirk.
"Practice makes perfect, love."
Me and my big mouth. When was I going to learn? I kept my mouth shut and didn't reply to him. He merely laughed then said.
"Hold on tight, sweet-heart."
I quickly wrapped one arm around his neck and clutched Chucky close to me with the other. Klaus chuckled then instantly sped off into the night. Man, was he fast. I didn't even know we had arrived back at the mansion until he said.
"We're home, love."
I slowly opened my eyes and realized he was right. I carefully removed my arm from around his neck and he gently placed me down. He then moved towards the door and held it open for me. I gave him a warm smile and quickly walked in. I looked around timidly then asked.
"Um, Klaus, where's everyone else? I thought they'd be here."
Klaus simply made his way to the couch then sat down and replied.
"Bekah and Elijah are keeping Kol away from here for the time being. Kol isn't going to forget something like that so easily, Diamond. The last woman who slapped him I believe was drained of every last drop of her blood, and her home mysteriously went up in flames while her parents were still inside. She was fiesty. Which is precisely what Kol likes in women. Although, she thought she could control him by acting in a dominating manner towards him. Kol tolerated her for several days, but eventually she overstepped her boundaries, and Kol well ... I'm sure you can use your imagination, love."
To say I felt sick would be a great understatement. I slowly sat down on another sofa and simply stared at the front door in complete fear. Kol was ... messed up. BIG TIME! He was going to kill me! I knew he was! He would never forgive me for hitting him! I was dead! I was so dead! Klaus seemed to know exactly what I was thinking, since he smirked at me then said.
"I didn't care for that woman Kol killed, but you are different. I need you alive. Therefore, for the time being, I need you to stay by my side at all times."
He then stood from the couch and I quickly did the same. Klaus smirked at me then said.
"I need a shower, sweet-heart. You can either wait for me in my room while I shower. Or, you can stay here and hope Kol hasn't managed to escape Bekah and Elijah."
Well put in those exact terms, I would much rather just wait in his room. What if Kol managed to escape Elijah and Rebekah and came straight to the mansion? If he found me in the living room all by myself there was a high probability that he would kill me. Therefore, I quickly looked at Klaus and replied.
"I'll go with you."
He chuckled then replied.
"Very well, follow me."
I quietly followed him up the stairs and into his room. To say I was amazed would be an understatement. Klaus was extremely talented at painting. His room was covered with pieces-upon-pieces of magnificent artworks. He could make some serious money selling these. They were simply that amazing. There were paintings of horses, beautiful landscapes, sunsets, everything that was considered beautiful he had it.
Klaus casually strolled towards his dresser and began pulling out his clothes. I merely stood awkwardly by the door and refused to move further inside. Klaus calmly looked up at me and said with a smirk.
"You can come in, love. I won't bite."
I gave him a small smile then clutched Chucky closer to my chest and replied.
"Ha, that's funny."
I then shyly made my way further into his room and stood nervously by one of his desks. Klaus chuckled then finished grabbing his clothing. I cautiously took a seat on the edge of his bed and watched him warily as he moved around his room. He was just about to walk inside his bathroom when he stopped then said.
"Love, how good are you with mathematics?"
I quickly looked up at him and questioned.
"Huh?"
Klaus laughed then said.
"Mathematics, love. How good are you with that subject?"
I simply lifted my right hand and rubbed the side of my left arm then replied nervously.
"Oh, well, I passed my STAR test with a perfect score, and I passed math with a 105 this semester. So, I think I'm pretty good."
Klaus smirked then replied.
"That's great to hear, love."
He then made his way towards one of his desks and said seriously.
"Recently, I've been reviewing some of my bank statements and investments, and the numbers are simply not adding up. I have a personal accountant back in Europe who takes care of all of my income. I need you to check over these statements and documents, and inform me if I need to pay him a visit."
I instantly smiled at having something to do while he was showering. It would have been incredibly awkward to simply sit on his bed while he showered. So, I quickly stood from the bed and replied.
"You got it, Alpha male."
Klaus simply stared at me for several seconds then busted out laughing. He slowly shook his head and said.
"You truly are something, love."
I merely gave him a small nod and watched him as he went into his bathroom. He slammed the door shut and I quickly made my way to his desk. I carefully sat Chucky on the desk. Then I immediately turned on his desk lamp, and took a seat in the chair. I began to carefully organize everything by date, time, bank, and investments. Once everything was organized, I opened one of the drawers and found a calculator. I quickly began adding up numbers and taking down notes. I had to make sure there was no mistakes. If I made one single mistake an innocent person could die.
I was in the middle of adding several big numbers when I suddenly heard the sound of a phone ringing. I lifted my head up and noticed Klaus' phone was lying on the desk going off. I took a deep breath then yelled out loudly.
"KLAUS! PHONE!"
I instantly heard him reply.
"CAN YOU GET THAT, LOVE?"
I simply sighed then answered the phone.
"Klaus' phone."
There was a pause. Then I heard the sound of a woman's voice ask rudely.
"Where's Klaus?"
Well, someone needed to learn some manners. I wanted to respond with the same attitude, but this woman could be important to Klaus. Therefore, I pressed my lips in a thin line then responded nicely.
"He is in the shower right now."
There seemed to be the sound of something falling then the woman asked.
"Who are you?"
I was so close to simply telling her off and hanging up, but I held it in and replied sweetly.
"My name is Diamond. I am his new accountant. Would you like to leave a message?"
"No."
With that, she hung up on me. Well talk about rude. Seriously, did people have no manners anymore? I merely huffed in annoyance then placed the phone back in the desk. I then grabbed my papers once again and went straight to work. It was several minutes later when Klaus finally stepped out of the bathroom. I refused to look up at him and simply kept on working diligently.
Klaus was right. The numbers weren't adding up. His stocks and investments seemed alright, but his bank accounts just weren't adding up. So far, there was at the very least 30 grand missing. I repeated the same quantities over and over on the calculator then by hand and the amounts came out the same. Klaus was missing some very large amounts of money, and the numbers just kept increasing as the years passed by. I had to make sure everything was accurate. So, I grabbed Klaus' phone and began calling his banks in order to obtain accurate information. Several of them nearly refused to give out his information, but once I claimed I was his new accountant and gave them his information they relented. I recorded exactly how much was in each account to the last cent. Once I acquired all of the information, I reworked it again.
Finally, I finished and stared at all of my work and numbers. As I looked at my results, I paled slightly. This was bad. This was very bad. Klaus would not be happy about this. Just in time Klaus came towards me and asked.
"So, what are the results, sweet-heart?"
I quickly rose from the chair then neatly stacked his documents and replied seriously.
"You were right. The numbers aren't adding up. As you just saw, I called your banks to confirm the numbers and well ... "
Klaus narrowed his eyes and said.
"What is it, love?"
I took a deep breath and replied calmly.
"You're missing exactly $53,298.46."
Klaus froze and didn't reply. I quickly pulled out my notes and began explaining.
"See, I did everything by hand, and the numbers remained the same. Also, when I called your bank in Spain they said that you had actually gone and withdrawn 5 grand just yesterday. Either ALL of your banks are screwing you over, or someone is stealing from you."
To my utter amazement Klaus actually smiled. Was he okay? Did his smile mean he was happy he was being robbed? Or, did it mean he was about to rip someone's head off. I didn't know and I wasn't about to find out. Therefore, I quickly grabbed Chucky and moved away from the desk. Then I moved to hide behind one of his paintings, while clutching Chucky tightly to my chest. Klaus simply stood there staring at my notes for several seconds. I hid myself further behind the painting and nearly jumped out of my skin when I heard him start laughing. It was official, Klaus was insane.
He chuckled for several seconds then turned to me and said.
"Thank you, love. This is all I needed to know. You must be hungry. Care to join me for lunch?"
The heck? Was he serious? I stared at him for several seconds waiting for the punch line or strike, but it never came. I slowly moved away from behind the painting and replied.
"Sure, I'm actually pretty hungry."
Klaus smirked then said.
"Very well then let's go to the kitchen and eat."
He then calmly walked out the door and I followed behind him at a safe distance. Klaus was unpredictable. He could be all calm and collected now, but one wrong move and I would be splattered all across the wall like a tomato. We descended the stairs slowly then made our way to the kitchen. I was just about to make my way towards the fridge when a dark-haired woman blocked my path and said with a smile.
"Your lunch will be made by me from now on. What would you like to eat today?"
I blinked at her several times then replied honestly.
"Well, I would really like to make my own lunch. I do not feel comfortable ... "
"Not possible. Mr. Mikaelson clearly stated that you were no longer allowed in the kitchen. Now, what would you like?"
I was no longer allowed in the kitchen? Why? Had the breakfast really been that bad? Klaus could've just told me he didn't like it. He didn't need to forbid me from entering his kitchen. I merely gave a sad sigh and replied.
"Some grilled-cheese sandwiches would be nice."
She quickly nodded then asked.
"To drink?"
I stopped to ponder for a bit then replied.
"Um, apple juice is fine."
She gave me another quick nod then turned around back into the kitchen. I simply stared at the closed door then slowly turned around and walked away. I walked into the living room and saw Klaus sitting on the couch reading. As soon as he saw me, he smirked then asked.
"Did you order what you wanted, sweet-heart?"
I gave him a small nod then gathered my courage and asked.
"Klaus, did you like the breakfast I made this morning?"
His smirk didn't falter and he replied.
"Yes, love, it was very appetizing. Why do you ask?"
I shifted uncomfortably from foot-to-foot then replied.
"Well, I just wanted to know why you're not allowing me in your kitchen anymore. I mean, did I make too much of a mess. I tried to clean. I really did, but Kol, and then Rebekah ... "
Klaus merely chuckled at me then replied honestly.
"Your breakfast was delicious, love, but you are a guest and a guest should not be cooking for her hosts. I am not allowing you inside my kitchen because you do not belong there. Besides, I have people that I pay to get the cooking done. You simply beat them to it this morning."
Well, when he put it like that I could see where he was coming from. Besides, Klaus was old school, very old school. So, that was probably something that stuck to him through all of these years. Therefore, I gave him a small smile then replied.
"Okay, I understand. Thank you, Klaus, for being so considerate."
He smiled at me then casually returned back to his book. I slowly moved to sit on the opposite couch and held Chucky tightly to my chest. Klaus continued on reading and I simply let my mind wander to Kol. Where was he? Was he okay? Did Elijah or Rebekah dagger him? Would he kill me the second he saw me? He did have his new bimbo of course. He probably didn't want anything to do with me. Then again he had publicly claimed me as his infront of many people and had actually assaulted Stefan to prove his point. Stefan. Poor guy. I owed him a huge apology along with some chocolates. He never seemed to take a break from all the drama. I was brought out of my thoughts by Klaus saying.
"Caroline, called."
I instantly turned to stare at him and replied.
"She did? When?"
Klaus then lifted up his phone and said.
"Today. A couple of minutes ago. You answered her, correct? It shows that the call lasted two minutes."
No, freaking way! That was Caroline! Oh, shoot! No wonder she sounded so ticked off! I answered Klaus' phone and then what I said about him in the shower! Ah, man! If Klaus wasn't going to kill me before he sure as hell was gonna kill me now! Klaus merely regarded me calmly for several seconds then said.
"What did she say?"
I backed into the couch, wishing I could just melt into it, then replied.
"Well, she asked where you were, and she asked me who I was. I told her you were in the shower and that I was your new accountant. I didn't know what else to say so I just said that."
Klaus remained silent for several seconds then asked.
"You told her I was in the shower?"
I nodded.
"What did she say about that?"
I nevously began to fidget with Chucky's hair and replied.
"Well, nothing really. Although, I did hear something like fall, but other than that she just asked me who I was. I didn't know it was her, so I asked if I could take a message and she rudely told me, "No," and hung up."
Klaus surprised me by laughing then saying.
"I knew it."
I stared at him confused then asked.
"I'm sorry?"
Klaus simply chuckled then said.
"Nothing to concern yourself with, love. Thank you for answering."
If this were a manga there would have been several questions marks floating around me at the moment. I was confused, so I replied unsurely.
"You're welcome?"
Klaus smirked at me then happily turned back to his book.
Originals were weird.
It was then that the front door instantly slammed open and I screamed in terror. I quickly grabbed Chucky and dashed to hide behind the couch. I listened carefully and heard Klaus laughing as well as someone else. I slowly peeked around the couch and realized it was only Rebekah. I gave a deep sigh of relief and slowly moved away from the couch. Rebekah merely smirked at me then said.
"You're too easy to scare."
I gave her a small smile in return then replied.
"I know. I've been a little jumpy lately."
Rebekah simply laughed then instantly clapped her hands and said.
"So, considering your birthday recently passed I decided I was going to throw you a party. With me as the decorator and organizer, of course. The party is tonight and everyone in town was invited. Now, all we have to do is get you into that hot black dress we bought at the mall today."
Huh? What was she saying? Party? What? Who?
Rebekah then grabbed my hand and dragged me up the stairs. I stared at her in disbelief then said.
"Rebekah, we don't have anything even set up. Let's not do this please."
I really really didn't like parties. Especially when I was the center of attention. Rebekah simply laughed then replied.
"I compelled several people throughout the town to come and get everything ready. They all just arrived. Now, we have to get your dress ready and get your hair done."
She then quickly pulled me into her room and I realized all of our shopping bags were already here. When did she even ... Never mind, I wasn't even going to ask. Rebekah quickly began digging through the numerous bags until she found the dress. She then quickly spun towards me with a smile on her face. Suddenly, her smile dropped and she yelled so loudly that I was pretty sure the people in China were able to hear her enraged yell of.
"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO YOUR DRESS!"
P.S. For the first time since I joined Fanfic I will be co-writing a story with another author and fan of mine! I am so excited! I've never had anyone like my work so much that they actually requested something like that. I felt very happy and proud when she requested that of me. Her name is Kianna or better known as K.O.S.N on this site. The name of the story will be titled, All's Fair in A Supernatural Hell, and I will be posting it here under my account and she will be posting it on Wattpad under hers. She is currently working on the first chapter, so keep a look out for this new story! Take care everyone! ^_^
