Control
I gently shook Kol's shoulder, so he could let me up, and he reluctantly moved away. I slowly sat up and said in complete embarrassment.
"Rebekah, I give you my word we didn't do anything. This REALLY isn't what it looks like. Kol and I were just ... "
"About to have sex."
Boy, was she blunt. I quickly shook my head as a negative and exclaimed.
"No! Of course not! I'm still a ... I mean ... I would never ... Oh my gosh! This is so embarrassing!"
I quickly grabbed one of Kol's pillows and covered my face with it. Somebody please just shoot me! This was so embarrassing!
I slowly peeked over the pillow and saw Kol roll his eyes then reply.
"Is there something you needed, sister? We were in the middle of something."
I slowly pulled the pillow away from me and saw Rebekah smirk then say.
"I can see that."
She then narrowed her eyes at me and I instantly hid my face against Kol's shoulder. Kol instantly wrapped his arm around me and I quickly moved to hide my face against his chest. I heard Rebekah scoff then say annoyed.
"She removed her shoes even though I specifically to do her not to. Now, she must accept her punishment."
I immediately wrapped my arms around Kol's neck and held on tightly to him while curling my feet closer to me. Kol responded by holding me tighter against him and replying.
"Now, why would you wish to punish my precious little jewel, sister? Look at her, she's terrified of you. Isn't that punishment enough?"
"No! She needs to learn ... "
It was then that I heard Kol's tone of voice change into something more darker and menacing.
"I suggest you leave, sister. I'll take care of it."
I heard a huff then the slam of a door. I slowly looked over to the side and realized Rebekah had left. Kol merely chuckled then said.
"I had no idea you had such a fear of Bekah."
I shivered slightly then replied.
"She wanted to super glue my feet to the shoes. Rebekah is crazy enough to actually do it. That's why I'm afraid of her."
Kol smirked at me and replied.
"You have a good reason to fear Bekah. She's a Mikaelson after all."
I nodded against his chest and simply continued to hold on to him. Kol tightened his arms around my waist then said casually.
"Bekah wants you back downstairs."
I clutched on more tightly to his neck then shook my head and replied.
"No, I don't want to go back. I hate parties."
"Come now, sweetheart. It's your birthday. You should be radiating with joy and excitement over your special day!"
I deadpanned and replied.
"You don't even believe what you're saying Kol."
He chuckled and replied.
"Don't misunderstand. I love parties just not birthday parties."
I slowly pulled away from him then looked away and huffed.
"Yeah, like stripper parties and junk."
Kol then tilted my head to look at him and replied with a smirk.
"Is that jealousy I hear?"
I quickly looked away and scoffed.
"You wish. I don't even like you like that, so ... "
Before I could even blink, I was pinned down to Kol's bed with him hovering on top of me. I gasped then immediately pushed against his chest and said.
"Kol, get off of me."
He quickly took a hold of my hands and pinned then to the bed with his own. He then smirked at me and replied.
"Now, now, you can't contradict yourself sweet-heart. You said you would give me a chance."
I tried to break my hands free, but it was useless. Therefore, I sighed then looked to the side and replied sincerely.
"I meant as friends Kol."
I felt him freeze and his smirk slowly disappear. He frowned then leaned down and placed his face against my throat. He slowly interlocked our fingers together and whispered against my throat.
"I can't do that, darling. I can't simply be your friend. Being your friend means you are free. It gives other men the idea that they can have you. Do you realize how many bodies will pile up if any one of them comes near you?"
I gulped then tried to reason with him and said.
"Kol I'm not ... from here. We could never really work out. I don't belong here. I have to go back home eventually. Please don't make this any harder. Don't do this to yourself. Don't get so attached to me."
He interrupted me by saying.
"That's impossible. I'm already attached to you, darling. I can't let you go. No, I won't let you go. Wherever you go, I go."
I could actually begin to feel tears forming in my eyes as I said.
"Please, Kol, don't do this. You still have time. You still have time to forget me. Go on a vacation. Bonnie and I can take care of Silas. You just go and enjoy the world. Time will help you forget me, so you can continue on living your life. I know how you are Kol. I know that if you actually fall for me and I leave, you will lose it. Don't let that happen. Go out and live your life. Don't fall for me."
I waited for him to give me his same subborn retort, but was completely amazed when he rose up and stared at me under his beautiful eyelashes and said.
"I won't lose it. I swear, darling. Give me a chance. No, give us a chance."
He then slowly lowered his face to where his lips were merely inches from mine and said.
"Please."
He began to inch forward, but I immediately turned away from him. I gave a small smile and replied jokingly.
"Don't you kiss me with those nasty lips of yours Kol Mikaelson. First you make out with that blonde bimbo at The Grill and now you want to kiss me? Absolutely not. You will not have my first kiss after kissing someone else. Who knows what kind of germs or diseases you could have gotten. So, move along buddy."
Kol simply looked to the side and started laughing. He then looked over at me and replied with a smile.
"I'm an Original, sweet-heart. I can't even catch a cold."
I decided to keep up my act and replied with a sniff.
"Hmph! Well, I'm not taking any chances. So, keep walking homeboy."
Kol chuckled at me then replied.
"I truly do love how you can switch from a serious situation to a joking one. Although, I am interested in something you said."
I smiled then asked.
"Yes?"
Kol leaned his face closely to mine and asked seriously.
"You can't honestly tell me that no man has tasted those beautiful lips before."
Just to make a point he realeased one of my hands and gently touched my bottom lip. I blushed deeply and replied honestly.
"I'm not lying. I've never kissed anyone before. As a matter of fact, I've never had a boyfriend before."
It might have been the lighting, but I could've sworn I saw Kol's smile grow brighter. I heard him laugh then reply curiously.
"And why is that?"
I actually choked a little bit on my saliva and replied nervously.
"You haven't met my mom. If for some reason, one day you have that opportunity, you'll understand. My mom ... she's ... well ... let's just say she could probably make Klaus flinch. That's how scary she is. Just to give you an example, one day my dad really pissed her off and she tried to stab him with a knife. Then after my dad left, she cracked her boyfriend over the head with a frying pan. Yeah, she's a bit out there."
Kol merely stared at me for several seconds then asked.
"So, where's the punch line?"
I merely blinked at him then replied seriously.
"There is no punch line."
Kol blinked at me then started laughing and asked
"You're serious?"
I nodded then replied honestly.
"Of course I am. My mom really did try to kill them. She nearly succeeded in killing my dad. He was just lucky my grandmother decided to go visit us that day."
I then looked to the ceiling and said.
"I guess I now know where I get my craziness from. Hmmm ... "
Kol simply chuckled at me then said.
"Well, I am known for liking the crazy ones."
I really didn't want to hear about all of his past conquests, so I disregarded that comment then said.
"We should head downstairs. Rebekah must be furious with me."
Kol rolled his eyes and replied casually.
"Let her be upset. She can't touch you. I won't let her."
I looked over at him then replied.
"That's not the point, Kol. She's right, in a way. It was incredibly rude of me to ditch the party that she worked so hard to organize. Now, come on, let's go back downstairs."
Kol huffed then rolled off of me and said bluntly.
"I'm going to stake, Bekah."
I merely gave him a side glance then said calmly.
"It's not her fault, Kol. She's just trying to have fun, and I may have ruined that for her."
Kol scoffed then stood up and straightened out his clothes. I carefully threw my feet over the edge of the bed and realized I had no shoes. Aw, dang it. I could go to my room and put on the small black flats that I had been able to get while Rebekah wasn't looking. Yeah, that sounded like a good idea. Before my feet could even touch the floor, Kol was instantly in my face. I lurched back against the bed then said.
"Holy fish! Don't do that, Kol! You scared the living crud out of me!"
Kol simply placed on an innocent look on his face then said with a blinding smile.
"I'm not sure I know what you speak of, darling."
My heart melted at his beautiful innocent face that all I did was slowly carress his cheek and whisper.
"Never mind, Kol."
Kol slowly closed his eyes and leaned his face more against my hand. Any other fangirl would have probably grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him up for a hot steamy kiss and maybe more, but not me. His expression looked so peaceful and innocent that I nearly forgot he was an Original. All I wanted at that moment was to hug him and never let go. I wanted to promise him that I would stay and never abandon him, but I couldn't. Therefore, I settled with moving my hand from his face and carefully pulling him up for a hug.
Kol's hands instantly went around my waist and he buried his face against my throat. His breath tickled against my skin and I giggled quietly. Although, I squealed in delight when I felt him quickly pick me up bride-style from the bed. He smirked at me then said.
"Since, you have no shoes I will have to carry you around for the rest of the night."
My eyes grew wide and I instantly replied.
"What? No! You don't have ... "
Kol quickly leaned his face close to mine and said.
"I want to. Are you going to deny me something I want?"
I blinked then stuttered.
"But, Kol! I ... "
Kol then calmly looked up at the ceiling and said thoughtfully.
"I am attempting to be a gentleman by offering to carry you, yet you refuse. Maybe you would be more willing to give me what I want if I wasn't a gentleman. Maybe a few drained bodies and some broken ... "
"Okay! Okay! You win!"
Kol merely smirked at me and replied arrogantly.
"As if it would go any differently."
He then carefully opened his bedroom door and walked with me into the hallway. I narrowed my eyes at him and replied.
"It actually could go differently, Kol, but I decided to be the bigger person."
Kol chuckled at my reply and said.
"Indeed, but if it had gone differently, I would have never heard the end of it from Nik. Due to all the bloodstains on his carpet and walls. So, isn't it great that we both decided to agree?"
He was mocking me and I knew it, but once again I decided to be the mature one and replied.
"Yes, I am glad we can agree without acting like petulant children."
Kol merely smirked at my response then proceeded to walk down the stairs. Once we reached the bottom step Rebekah was instantly infront of us. I immediately held on tightly to Kol and looked down. I heard Rebekah sigh then say.
"I am only going to tell you one last bloody time. Leave your bloody heels on, or else!"
I slowly looked up and realized she was holding my heels up for me to grab. I gave her a kind smile then took the heels from her and replied relieved.
"You got it, Rebekah. You're a real life-saver."
I heard Kol growl at my reply, but I disregarded him and said.
"Kol, can you please place me down, so I can put on my shoes?"
Kol merely regarded Rebekah coldly and said sarcastically.
"Yes, thank you very much, sister. You don't know how much I appreciate your kindness."
I sighed then said.
"Kol, stop being mean."
Rebekah seemed completely unaffected by Kol's attitude, since she smiled and said mockingly.
"What is it, Kol? Did I just ruin your chances to have your hands all over her for the rest of the night? My, what a pity."
Kol didn't seem amused, and only seemed to clutch me tighter to him. Tight enough to where I could actually feel the pain. I gasped then whispered.
"Kol, please place me down. You're holding me too tight."
Kol simply scowled at Rebekah then reluctantly placed me down. I carefully rubbed my ribs then muttered.
"Vampires, and their stupid Superman strength."
Both Rebekah and Kol laughed at my comment and I blushed having forgotten they could hear me. I slowly lifted one foot and slipped on my heel then proceeded to put on the other one. Rebekah gave me an approving nod while Kol stared at me like I was his next meal. I unconsciously covered my face with my hair and looked the other way. Kol was instantly at my side moving my hair from my face and wrapping one arm around me. I blushed a deep scarlett then looked up at him. Kol gave me a charming smile then said.
"Come on, darling. Time to enjoy your party."
It was then that Shakira's song, "Addicted To You", came on that I grabbed Kol's hand and dragged him to the dance floor. I began to move my hips from side-to-side and Kol took advantage to wrap his arms around my waist and dance with me. I was having such a great time dancing with him that I even sang some of the lyrics to him. I interlocked our fingers together then danced closer to him and sang.
"Son tus ojos marrones
Con esa veta verdosa
Es tu cara de niƱo
Y esa risa nerviosa"
Once the song ended, Kol smirked at me and said.
"I didn't know you could speak Spanish, darling."
I deadpanned at him and replied.
"Kol, I was yelling at you in all the languages I know when you decided to act like a caveman and throw me over your shoulder."
Kol seemed to think on my words then said casually.
"Hm, and here I thought it was just my tunning you out that made you sound like you were saying nonsense."
I narrowed my eyes at him and folded my arms across my chest in annoyance. Kol smirked at me then pulled me against his chest and said calmly.
"I tend to ignore or tune out people when they're saying something I don't like."
I remained in my stubborn stance and refused to hug him back. It was then that I looked over Kol's shoulder and saw something unsettling.
Klaus and Caroline were arguing and she seemed really pissed off. Suddenly, Klaus seemed to have said something that really struck a nerve because the next thing I knew Caroline struck him! I gasped in disbelief and watched as she stormed away from him while Klaus glared at her retreating form. I saw how his face seemed to morph slightly, but he quickly shook his head and stormed away to the library.
I quickly tried to pull myself from Kol, but he refused to let go. I huffed in annoyance and said.
"Kol, let me go. I've got to go check on Klaus."
Kol pulled me slightly away and said with a growl.
"Why do you want to go to him?"
I sighed and replied honestly.
"Because I care for him, Kol. I want to be his friend. I know Klaus doesn't have that many people he can actually call friend, so I want to be there for him. I want him to know that he's not alone."
Kol didn't seem at all pleased at my reply, since he then grabbed my shoulders and shook me while snarling.
"You will not do this to me! I will not allow history to repeat itself! You are mine and mine only! Neither Nik, Elijah, or some other imbecil will take you from me! Do you understand me!"
I flinched at his tight hold on me then snapped back.
"Forget you, Kol! You don't own me! I can be friends with whoever I want and you can't say squat! Now, let me go! You're hurting me!"
Kol seemed surprised by my outburst and slowly released me. I immediately crossed my arms and began to rub my shoulders. Kol remained completely still then narrowed his eyes at me and spat.
"Fine! Do whatever you want! Just don't expect me to come save you when Nik decides you are no longer useful to him! I'm done trying to show you how much you mean to me, while you simply throw it in my face! I don't want your bloody friendship! And I don't want you! The sooner you leave, the better!"
With that, Kol turned his back on me and stormed away. I could feel tears forming at the corners of my eyes threatening to fall, but I held them in. My eyes carefully followed after Kol, and I saw him already with his hands all over some random girl. He sure didn't take long to find someone new. With that thought in mind, I lifted my chin up, with as much dignity as I could muster, and walked right past him towards the library.
As soon as I opened the door, I quickly ducked avoiding a flying book coming straight towards me. I placed my hands over my head and ran behind on of the arm chairs. I waited for about ten seconds before peeking over the side of the chair. Klaus was pissed. No, pissed would be putting it lightly. Klaus was furious beyond belief; books, lamps, tables, and many other random objects were being destroyed in his rage.
I took several deep breaths then finally found the courage to move from behind the chair. I cautiously moved towards Klaus without making any noise. At least, I thought I was being quiet, but I was proven worng when he instantly turned to glare at me. His eyes were a profound golden color and his clothes were slightly torn. I held my hands up in a placating gesture and said.
"Klaus, it's ok. It's me, Diamond. Why don't we go upstairs and get you cleaned up?"
He merely glare at me and snarled.
"Leave."
I shook my head and said.
"I'm not abandoning you, Klaus. I'm here to help you."
His glare remained and he growled out more fiercely.
"Didn't you hear me! Get out!"
I stomped my foot and yelled stubbornly.
"No! I'm not going anywhere! So, you will just have to ... "
My sentence was cut short by Klaus grabbing me by the throat and slamming me against the wall. His fangs were out and he looked about to snap. My hands were trying to pry him off of me, but it was useless. I choked several times, but managed to get out.
"Kl ... Klaus ... pl ... please! I ... I ... can't ... Please!"
Klaus glared at me for several seconds, but something in my face must have snapped him out of it. Since, he slowly released my throat and placed me down. Man, living with Originals truly sucked. First, my shoulders, now, my back and throat. I rubbed my sore throat and slowly slid down to the floor with my back against the wall. I was scared that if I moved away from it my spine would break in two. So, I merely rubbed my throat and took deep breaths to obtain as much oxygen as I could. It hurt a lot, but I wouldn't cry. I was tired of always crying infront of Klaus and Kol. Besides, crying didn't solve anything.
I was surprised to see Klaus kneel on one knee and gently pry my hand from my throat. I remained completely still and refused to shy away from him, even though I was slightly scared. Klaus seemed to be looking at my throat with a frown on his face. He then passed his hand rougly through his hair and looked down. I wasn't sure what he was thinking, but I decided to simply watch and see what he would do. Imagine my surprise, when he lifted his wrist and bit straight into it then offered it to me. I paled big time and replied cautiously.
"Thank you, Klaus, but I ... "
He bit into it one more time then said casually.
"You can drink it willingly, or I can force it down your throat. Pick, or I'll pick for you."
I knew he wasn't playing around. This was Klaus. If he said he would do something, he did it, no questions asked. I visibly gulped then closed my eyes and brought his wrist to my lips. I took only maybe two small gulps and quickly let go of his hand. I could instantly feel the pain all over my body disappear, and a new burst of energy course through me. I slowly opened my eyes then gave Klaus a bright smile and said sincerely.
"Thank you. I feel much better now."
He gave me a simple nod then rose to his feet. I was about to stand as well, when he instantly extended his hand to me. I graciously took it and stood as well. I gave him a kind smile and muttered another thanks. Klaus simply sighed then released my hand and said.
"You are truly something else, love."
I gave a small laugh and replied.
"Yeah, I've heard that before. I've also heard insane, nuts, strange, freak, and the most popular, weird."
Klaus actually smiled at my reply, and I did a happy dance in my head. I then looked around the library and came to realize just how destroyed it truly was. I sighed then muttered under my breath.
"Men."
I noticed Klaus raise an eyebrow at me and I instantly said.
"Oops! My bad."
He then smirked at me and said.
"Come on, love. I know you want to say something."
Well, since he asked I might as well.
"Men, tend to be very aggresive and over-react over dumb things. I was just thinking if that was magnified as a vampire. Based on this destruction, my best bet is yes."
I wasn't sure how he would take that, but Klaus surprised me by chuckling and moving to sit on one of the chairs. I moved to stand by him then said jokingly.
"Now, this is just plain messed up, Klaus. All of these innocent books were just here minding their own business in hopes that some day someone would read them again, and you just came and abused them. Poor dudes. The lamps and tables too. You know, you're lucky there isn't an Inanimate Object Defense Association or something. If there was, you would be getting sued left and right."
Klaus merely turned his head to stare up at me then started laughing again. I smiled back at him truly pleased at seeing him more calm. Operation Make Klaus Smile was going perfectly. I noticed Klaus then slightly shake his head and say.
"You are deeply amusing, love. With you here, I feel no need to go torture somebody in order to amuse myself."
Typical Klaus answer, but I smiled nonetheless and replied honestly.
"I'm glad I amuse you, Klaus."
We remained silent for several seconds, the silence actually rather comfortable. Klaus was staring out the broken window, while I assessed the mess he made and wondered how long it would take me to clean it up. I wondered if he had some sort of storage room or closet in here, so I could go ahead and start cleaning. I was brought out of my thoughts by Klaus saying.
"Why did you decide to stay after I told you to leave, Diamond?"
I bit my bottom lip and replied carefully.
"I didn't want to leave you alone. I ... I saw what happened between you and Caroline, and I thought you might need a friend. I honestly wasn't expecting for you to go all Eric Northman on me slam me against the wall."
Klaus then looked up at me and questioned with a raised brow.
"Eric Northman?"
Of course, he wouldn't understand the reference. I blushed and replied.
"Yeah, he's a vampire and he's like over a thousand years old. He comes out on a show called True Blood and he can sometimes be a little aggresive. He's also really hot, but that's not the point. So, yeah, I'm going to stop talking now before I embarrass myself even further."
Klaus blinked at me then started laughing again. Well, I was glad to be right on my theory that Klaus was a sadist. He really seemed to enjoy my discomfort and embarrassement. What a guy. Klaus seemed to really be enjoying himself at my expense, since he couldn't seem to stop laughing. I pouted then looked away from him towards the window. After several seconds, he calmed down then said.
"Ah, what am I going to do with you, sweet-heart? Letting you leave would be such a waste."
Oh no, not this again. I gave Klaus a small smile and replied calmly.
"Me staying here could also be a waste. I've already changed the course of the show as it is by saving Kol."
I gave a small flinch when I said his name, but continued on.
"I also feel like I'm missing something vitally important, but I just can't remember what. I'm hoping that I can remember it before Bonnie and I go to the Island to take down Silas. Speaking of Bonnie, we need to start getting everything ready. I don't know how much time I have left here. I also know that if I leave it up to her and the Scooby Gang, everything is going to go to hell."
I was about to continue rambling on when something suddenly flashed infront of me. I blinked several times and realized it was Klaus. I merely sighed then said.
"Sorry, I was talking to you and then I started talking to myself."
Klaus merely smiled then replied.
"I noticed. Fortunately for you, Bonnie is here at the party."
I stared at him in disbelief and asked.
"Seriously?"
He nodded then said casually.
"Yes, she said something about not trusting us Originals with a house full of humans."
I gave a curt nod and said.
"Good point. Not valid, but I can see where she comes from."
Klaus merely smirked then said.
"Indeed. Now, you can go find her, and set up a plan. Meanwhile, I'll stay here and convince myself that ripping Caroline's heart out is a bad idea."
I stared at him for several seconds then sighed and grabbed his hand. I dragged him to one of the couches and made him sit. I then took a seat next to him and began.
"Klaus, I told you this the very first time we met. I am not your enemy. I ... I honestly just want to be your friend. I don't expect you to suddenly open up to me and tell me your deepest darkest secrets, but I hoped that maybe you wouldn't try to push me away. I ... I want you to at least let me show you that I can be a good friend. I know your story, and I know you heard mine when I talked to Rebekah. Like I said, I don't expect you to immediately accept me and get us BFF necklaces. I just want you to not lock yourself away from me. Don't push me away because if you do then I'll only try even harder."
Klaus seemed to stare at me in utter disbelief for several minutes straight. I merely kept my eyes on him and waited for his reply patiently. After maybe five minutes, he finally said.
"You're serious."
I gave him a firm nod in confirmation. He sighed then threw his head back and stared at the ceiling with a smile on his face. I waited patiently once again, until he said.
"Alright, love, you have a deal. I'll let you prove to me that you're a good friend."
At that, I instantly jumped off the couch and began to jump up and down in excitement. I laughed happily then grabbed his hand again and pulled him off the couch. Klaus seemed deeply amused at my excitement and merely followed me out of the library. I then dragged him upstairs and towards his room. Once we were inside, I turned to him and said.
"You need to change. No, Original Badass Hybrid, goes to a party looking like you do now. I mean, come on! You're Klaus Mikaelson! You have the words, "DANGER," and "BADASS" written all over you! Where's that Original pride?"
Klaus actually laughed at me then said.
"You never cease to amaze me, sweet-heart. Very well, I will change."
With that, he flashed to his closet then came out with a new shirt and pants. I gave him a thumbs up in approval, but nearly fainted when he began to remove his shirt right infront of me. I could feel the blood rushing to my ears and face growing hot in embarrassement. I immediately covered my eyes and screeched.
"What the heck do you think you're doing! You can't change infront of me! That's inappropriate!"
Klaus truly was a sadist, since he merely laughed at my response. I instantly pivoted the other way and stood with my back to him. Men! I folded my arms across my chest and began to mutter to myself about show-off Originals. I was brought out of my thoughts by Klaus saying.
"You can turn around now, love."
I truly hoped he was fully changed. I gave a small sigh then slowly turned to look at him. Thank the heavens he was fully clothed. I gave a small sigh of relief then said.
"You're not funny, you know."
He smirked at me and said mockingly.
"On the contrary, I find your reactions very amusing."
I folded my arms across my chest then gave him a pointed look. Klaus merely smiled innocently then said.
"Let's return the party."
He then extended his hand to me and said with a charming smile.
"Shall we?"
He didn't play fair. How could I stay annoyed at him when he smiled at me with those dimples and eyes? I immediately felt my annoyance leave me and I slowly hooked my arm through his. We then walked out his room and down the hallway. We then walked down the stairs and he was kind enough to help me on the way down. Stupid heels.
As Klaus led me through the crowd of dancing teens, Shakira's song, "Hips Don't Lie," came on. I still had that rush from when I drank Klaus' blood and I knew I had to let it out. Therefore, I let go of Klaus and ran straight to his bar. I climbed on top of his counter, and began to move my hips from side-to-side and sing to the song. Instantly a crowd began to form around the counter as I threw my hair from side-to-side and moved my hips sensually to the beat.
I looked over to the side and saw Rebekah cheering me on. I moved towards her then grabbed her hand and dragged her on top of the counter too. We then both began dancing and throwing our hair everywhere. It was during one particular spin that I noticed Kol and a girl practically grinding against him, but his eyes weren't on her. He was staring directly at me. I merely turned my face away from him and kept on dancing. It was when Wyclef's part came near the end of the song that I felt someone grab my hand and drag me off the counter. I looked and realized it was only Klaus. I smiled then moved towards the center and began to dance with him while singing.
"I'm on tonight, my hips don't lie
And I'm starting to feel you boy
Come on let's go, real slow
Baby, like this is perfecto
Oh, you know I'm on tonight and my hips don't lie
And I am starting to feel it's right
The attraction, the tension
Baby, like this is perfection.
No fighting!
No fighting..."
The song then ended and I heard many people cheering and clapping. I gave them all a bright smile and waved happily. I then looked over at Rebekah and saw one of the guys helping her get off the counter. I waved at her and she smirked back at me then came towards us. She then placed her hands on her hips and said smugly.
"Now, you know that it isn't necessary for you to remove your shoes to dance."
Huh, she made a really good point. I'm surprised I didn't fall off the counter while I was dancing up there. I gave her a curt nod and replied.
"Once again, you're right, Rebekah. Man, you sure know your fashion stuff, huh?"
Rebekah instantly nodded and replied.
"Of course, I do. I know how to distinguish nice and classy heels from the prostitute heels most of the girls here are wearing. Even some of their dresses seem to have come out of a brothel. My, how woman have changed. It's sad really."
Klaus simply chuckled and was about to open his mouth, but I quickly squeezed his hand tightly in mine and whispered.
"The peanut gallery isn't exactly neccesary, Klaus."
He smirked at me, but didn't comment. Rebekah merely regarded us carefully then said something to Klaus in a language I didn't understand. I saw Klaus raise his eyebrows then begin to laugh once again. He then let go of my hand and proceeded to wrap his arm around my shoulders. I instantly gave him a bright smile in return. I was really happy Klaus was allowing me to become his friend. He then replied to Rebekah in the same unknown language and smiled at her incredulous look. Rebekah merely threw her hair over her shoulder then finally said while walking away.
"Whatever, Nik. Just don't come complaining to me when things get bloody."
What was that supposed to mean? And why were they talking in a language I couldn't understand? I huffed then looked up at Klaus and said pointedly.
"It's not polite to be talking about people when they're standing right next to you."
Klaus seemed surprised by my comment and said.
"How did you know we were talking about you?"
I raised my eyebrows and replied smartly.
"I didn't. I just said that to see if I was right. Which I am."
Klaus smirked at me and replied.
"You are a sneeky little thing, aren't you?"
I shrugged and replied casually.
"Eh, I try. Though, CSI:Miami, and Criminal Minds might also be to blame. So, why would things get bloody?"
Klaus simply ruffled my hair and replied.
"Nothing to concern yourself over, sweet-heart. I've got it under control."
I highly doubted that, so I crossed my arms and said seriously.
"Stay away from the Cure, Klaus, and stay away from Bonnie. I don't need your psychopathic tendencies surfacing right now. I need to prevent Silas from rising and I need Bonnie to help me do that. I don't know how much time I have left to get things in motion. So, I don't need anyone interfering."
Klaus chuckled at me then replied.
"This has nothing to do with the Cure or the witch, love. Please, by all means, go make plans with her. I believe I saw her standing near the door."
I stared at him skeptically and he simply gave a charming smile. He was such a cheater! It wasn't fair for him to use that smile on me! That was cheating! I sighed and was just about to move away from him when he suddenly held me back and said.
"I almost forgot."
He then pulled out a new iPhone5s and handed it over to me. I stared at him in disbelief and said.
"Klaus, how did you ... ?"
He merely waved a dismissive hand and said.
"I bought you a new one while Bekah was getting you ready. Now, could you at least try and not let Kol break this one?"
The mention of Kol brought back the angry and spiteful words he threw at me not that long ago. Kol made it perfectly clear that he didn't want anything to do with me anymore. He said, and I quote, "The sooner you leave, the better!" I could slowly feel myself grow sad as I remembered his angry face and venomous words. I clutched my new phone to me tightly and said honestly.
"Don't worry, Klaus. Kol won't break this one. As a matter of fact, Kol wants nothing to do with me. So, if it breaks or something it'll be my faul ... "
Klaus interrupted me and said.
"What do you mean Kol wants nothing to do with you? What did my idiotic brother say to you?"
I gave a small shrug and tried to seem indifferent, but I knew I wasn't fooling him. I then looked down and replied calmly.
"We argued over ... something, and he just broke off all ties with me. He said that he didn't even want to be my friend. That's ok, though. I've got you and Rebekah, and even Elijah seems to tolerate me. So, yeah."
I then felt Klaus put a hand under my chin and make me look up at him. I refused to let the tears that were on the surface fall infront of him. Klaus simply stared at me for several seconds then said bluntly.
"Don't lie to me. It's not ok, love. You're not ok."
I could feel a single tear trail down the side of my face, but that was the only one I allowed to fall. It hurt. It hurt a lot to have lost Kol. I cared about him so much. Yet, he couldn't seem to understand that I was naturally a caring person. I always tried my best to help people, to be there for them in their time of need. I wasn't the type of person to forget about the world once I had a boyfriend or someone showed interest in me. Klaus had needed someone at that moment and I felt like I could help him. Kol was simply too blinded by jealousy and stuck in the past to see that was the only thing I wanted to do.
I then pulled myself away from Klaus and looked over to the dancefloor to see Kol dancing with some girl. She was practically bending over right infront of him and he seemed to like it. I quickly looked away from them then said to Klaus.
"I need some fresh air."
I distinctly heard Klaus say.
"I'll talk to my imbecil of a brother, sweet-heart."
I merely gave him a wave and made my way towards the balcony. As soon as I set foot outside, I took a deep breath and stared up at the stars. I wondered if Qetsiyah could see me right now. Maybe if I tried to contact her she might help me. I stared up at the moon and thought about making another wish. Maybe if I wished Silas was dead it would come true. Or, maybe if I wished to ... to go back home I would go back. The moon seemed to be the key, but I could be wrong.
I then carefully placed my hands against the railing and looked out into the forest. Klaus sure knew how to live in style. His garden was amazing, and the location and size of his mansion were very well thought out. It was then that a very bad thought crossed me. Wasn't this the same balcony Damon ...
*Darkness*
I awoke with a really bad headache and incredibly sore muscles. What on earh happened? Did I fall off the balcony? Where was I? I then blinked several times and shook my head to clear my thoughts. It was then that I heard a familiar, yet unwanted voice say.
"And Sleeping Beauty awakes. Although, I'm surprised you didn't wait for Kol to come and kiss you awake."
What the heck was this person saying? I slowly lifted my head and came face-to-face with a burning fire place. I yelped and tried to jump back, but I couldn't. It was then that I realized why I was so sore. I was tied to a dang chair! I quickly looked around and felt my face pale. I was in the Salvatore Boarding House! I then looked over from where I had first heard the voice come and saw none other than Damon Salvatore himself. I lowered my head then muttered.
"Crap."
Damon merely moved to stand infront of me and said.
"Let see. How about we skip all the pleasantries and you tell me who you really are before I rip your heart out."
I simply lifted my head then strared directly at him and said seriously.
"My name is Diamond. I am a psychic and Klaus' new accountant. Is there anything else you would like to know?"
He didn't seem at all convinced by my reply. That was one of the things I actually liked about Damon. He was usually pretty good at smelling out BS when it was thrown at him. Well except when it came to Elena's BS. Other than that, he was pretty dang smart. Damon then narrowed his eyes at me and said with a smirk.
"As a matter of fact, yes. I would like to know how you will react to this plant."
He then brought over a small, almost celery-looking, plant that was sitting on a table and held it close to my face. I stared at it skeptically then took a small sniff of the plant. I blinked several times then replied.
"Hey, that's not that bad. Where'd you get that? Can you let me have some, so I can plant it in my mom's garden when I go home?"
He stared at me strangely for several seconds then said.
"So, you're not a werewolf."
I rolled my eyes then said.
"I could've told you that. You should've just asked me."
He smirked then replied.
"Now, where would be the fun in that?"
I gave a small nod then acknowledged.
"Good point. I bet it would've been pretty funny if I was allergic to it or something."
Damon simply regarded me for several seconds then said.
"I guess I now know why they keep you around. You're weird."
I sighed then said boredly.
"I could've told you that too. Seriously, what did you kidnap me? I need to talk to Bonnie."
Damon merely leaned against the table with his arms crossed and said.
"I want you to tell me everything you know about Silas and the Cure. Also, what do you mean you won't let any of us have it?"
I gave him my best are you dumb look and replied seriously.
"You and your Scooby Doo gang are all a bunch of morons and martyrs. Why on earth would I allow people like that to take the Cure? I've seen what happens to you guys when you reach the Island. You people are all willing to let the most dangerous supernatural being loose over Elena, and I won't let that happen. Rising Silas will only bring death and destruction to Mystic Falls. You wanna know what's going to happen to your little brother if Silas rises? He's going to die continuously for the entire summer, and when you guys finally use your brains and realize Stefan is in trouble, he won't be the same. By the way, Katherine gets the cure, and Bonnie dies. So, if you still think that Elena is so worth it then by all means let me know now that you plan to interfere. That way I can just go back home and let you all die."
Damon seemed frozen on the spot with his mouth slightly open. It would've been funny had I not been serious about everything I told him. We remained silent for several minutes until he said.
"Silas isn't real."
I raised my eyebrow and replied smugly.
"Bet money."
He frowned at me then asked.
"What?"
I smirked at him then said seriously.
"Klaus owes me a hundred dollars. I bet you those hundred Silas is real. If I'm right you owe me a hundred. If I'm wrong, I owe you a hundred."
Damon smirked back at me then said.
"I say we make it even more interesting. If you're right, I'll give you one grand. If I'm right, I get to drink from you without your little boy toy killing me."
I laughed then said.
"You're on. I'm going to ask Klaus to get me a video recorder, and I'm going to take my phone when Bonnie and I go to the Island. Oh, and I'll have witnesses too! Ha, you're going down!"
Damon merely narrowed his eyes at me then said.
"I don't think so. I want to see him myself."
My smile instantly faded and I quickle replied.
"Then the deal's off. I am only taking Bonnie, and the Hunter that we need to kill Silas. I was hoping Bonnie convinced Jeremy, but if he said no then... "
Damon interrupted me by saying.
"He agreed. He doesn't trust you with Bonnie. So, he agreed to complete the Hunter's Mark and go with you to the Island."
I narrowed my eyes at him and replied seriously.
"And how do I know I can trust him? He might just want to go to get the Cure for his precious big sis. I'm telling you right here and right now, Damon, and you might want to pass it along. If Jeremy doesn't kill Silas, and tries to sneak off with the Cure for Elena, I will make sure he doesn't leave that Island alive. So, if you guys have some master scheme like that you might want to reconsider."
He smiled at me then said smugly.
"Is that a threat?"
I stared directly at him then replied calmly.
"No, it's a promise."
Damon merely chuckled then replied.
"Well, we wouldn't have to worry about that if you're dead, now would we?"
I gave him a side glance then said with a shrug.
"Go ahead and kill me. Though keep in mind of just who I'm living with. Klaus is truly a sadistic psycho and he'll probably kill you and make Stefan watch. So, keep that in mind."
Damon actually looked a bit uneasy at my statement and I simply smiled at that. I then huffed and said.
"So, I already told you what's up. Can I go back to the mansion now? They're probably already looking for me and it won't be long before they ... "
I was interrupted by the sound of the front door being viciously kicked open. I flinched at the noise then heard a familiar voice roar.
"How dare you touch her!"
I then saw someone grab Damon by the throat and throw him across the room. I felt someone else approach me and looked up to see Elijah calmly removing my ropes. I gave him a small smile and said.
"Thank you."
Elijah gave me a small nod then replied.
"You are quite welcome."
I then heard the sound of glass smashing and I quickly stood from the chair. I turned around and saw Kol pinning Damon down with his hand deep inside his chest. Oh no! Rebekah was standing with her arms crossed and watching, while Klaus was smiling and looked like he wanted to cheer Kol on. I instantly ran over towards Kol and tugged on his other hand while pleading.
"Kol, please stop! Don't do this!"
Damon appeared right on the brink of death. He was spitting out blood and looked really pale. I tugged harder on Kol and yelled.
"Stop it, Kol! Let him go!"
It was Klaus who replied and said.
"Move out of the way, love. The best part is about to come."
I glared over at him and said.
"Once again, the peanut gallery isn't necessary, Klaus."
I then turned to Kol and said again.
"Kol! Cut it out!"
Kol finally responded and said.
"Don't worry, darling, I will. I'm just going to rip it out instead."
I saw how Kol was slowly moving his hand upward and I knew full well what he was holding. I had to do something! I couldn't let Damon die. What could I do though?
Suddenly, a quick and thoughtless idea crossed my mind. I kneeled down next to Kol then grabbed his face in my hands and kissed him for all I was worth. I saw his eyes flash wide in disbelief, and he immediately released Damon to wrap his bloody hands around my waist and tug me closer. I gently pushed against him until he was on his back on the floor and I was on top of him. I moved my hair to the side to create a small curtain for us as we kissed.
Kol then moved his lips to my throat and began kissing me sensually with with mouth. I gasped slightly then looked over and saw Damon sitting up next to us. I gave him a pleading stare then mouthed, "Run." He didn't need to be told twice. He quickly rose to his feet and sped out the back door. I then slightly moved back and tugged on Kol's shoulders so he could sit up. He easily complied, but his lips not once did they remove themselves from my skin. He then kissed one particular spot on my throat and I gave an involuntary moan. My hands then moved to lock into his hair and keep him there. I heard Kol give a small growl, but he continued to kiss me all over.
It was until I heard someone give a small cough that I realized how we must've looked. I blushed a deep red then removed my hands from Kol's hair and wrapped them around his neck instead. I buried my face against his neck then whispered.
"That was my first kiss. I hope you liked it."
Kol gave me a small growl and proceed to pull me tighter against his chest. I giggled then said.
"Come on. We have to get up. I'm sure your siblings don't want to see us like this."
Kol's eyes almost seemed glazed over as he stared at me hungrily and said.
"So, they can leave."
He then brought his lips down to mine for another kiss and I easily complied. Kol was just about to pull us down when someone wacked me over the head with something. I clutched my head and looked up to see Rebekah holding up her small purse. She glared at us and said.
"I don't want to see you eating each other's faces off. Now, let's go back."
I rubbed my sore head then muttered.
"That wasn't very nice."
Rebekah merely scoffed at me and replied bluntly.
"Yeah? Well making out with my brother infront of me isn't very nice either."
I had no comeback for that one, so I stayed quiet. Kol then glared at Rebekah and said.
"I'll remember this, sister."
Rebekah simply rolled her eyes at him then said.
"I don't have to time to deal with your threats Kol. I'm annoyed as it is. The party was ruined and now I'm going to have to make something even bigger to make up for it. All because the birthday girl thought it would be smart to go outside by herself and ignore everyone."
I pouted at her then said.
"I'm sorry, Rebekah. I told you from the start I didn't like parties. You just wouldn't listen."
Rebekah scowled at me then said.
"Of course, I wouldn't listen. What kind of girl doesn't like parties! Especially her own birthday party!"
I stared at her calmly and replied.
"Well it would be girls like me. I'm thinking you're also going to be upset when I tell you I hate cake."
Rebekah then stomped her foot and screeched.
"Now, you're just saying things to piss me off!"
I blinked at her tantrum and replied seriously.
"No, I'm dead serious. I hate cake. It's too sugary for me."
Rebekah stared at me in complete disbelief then yelled.
"It's cake! It's supposed to be sugary!"
I nodded then replied.
"Right. That's why I hate it."
She tugged on her hair then turned away from me and stalked outside. I then heard her scream and the sound of something smashing. Klaus then laughed and said.
"Good job, love. You managed to anger Bekah without getting killed. That deserves some praise. Don't you think so, Elijah?"
Elijah merely sighed then replied.
"Your sense of humor never ceases to amaze me, Niklaus."
I was confused. I wasn't trying to make Rebekah mad. I was actually being honest with her. I really didn't like cake. Why was that such a big deal? I was brought out of my thoughts by Kol grabbing my chin and pulling me down for another kiss. I giggled slightly and proceeded to kiss him back. I then heard Elijah sigh and say.
"I shall be returning back to the mansion to make sure all of our guests have gone home."
Klaus merely laughed then said.
"Or, you could just be forward and say that you don't want to be here watching them trade saliva."
Elijah remained silent then finally said.
"Your crassness hasn't deminished in all these centuries, has it, Niklaus?"
I heard Klaus laugh then say.
"What can I say, brother? I feel duty bound to say what you will not."
I heard Elijah sigh then the sound of the door close. I then carefully pulled my lips from Kols' and looked over to see them gone. I gave a small sigh of relief then gasped when I felt Kol start kissing along my throat. I closed my eyes and simply enjoyed the feeling of his lips on my skin. I slowly moved my hands up his arms and wrapped them around his neck and hugged him tight. I knew that we would never be the same after this. I had fallen for him and there was no way I could hide it. Although, I truly wanted to know how he felt about me. So, I slowly pulled away then asked.
"So, what does this mean, Kol? Are you just going to use me until I leave? Or, ... "
Kol's hands tightened on my waist and he said.
"You're not leaving. I won't let you. You are mine."
I gave him a pointed look and he sighed. He then leaned his head on my shoulder and said.
"I've never done this before, darling. So, listen carefully. What I said earlier, I ... I didn't mean it. Do you know what would happen if you left? Nik, wouldn't be able to stop me from going on a cross-country killing spree. I was angry. I didn't mean to tell you that I didn't want you. Well, I did mean to tell you that, but that's not how I feel. I want you more than you can even fathom. You're brave, gorgeous, loyal, and you have a twisted sense of humor to you that only makes you that more desirable."
I slowly looked the other way and said.
"Well what about that one girl you were dancing with. You seemed pretty happy to be with her."
At that, Kol quickly grabbed my face to look at him and said firmly.
"She means nothing to me! Do you understand that? I was actually going to kill her tonight. She is nothing. You are my, how do you say it these days? My girlfriend. Yes, that's it! You are my girlfriend. Although, we both know that I like and want you more than a friend."
I stared at him with my mouth hanging open then said disbelievingly.
"Your girlfriend? Are you seriously asking me to be your girlfriend?"
He frowned then said seriously.
"I wasn't aware I had to ask you. Is that how it is now?"
I gave him a playful glare and replied obviously.
"Of course, you have to ask me, Kol. You can't just simply proclaim a girl to be your girlfriend. You have to ask her first."
Kol nodded seriously then said.
"Very well. So, what is your reply? Not like I don't already know the answer."
I raised my eyebrows at him then said.
"You do realize that by me being your girlfriend there will be no more kissing or having sex with other girls? I will also not tolerate any trips to the strip club or any places similar to that."
Kol nodded then asked seriously.
"Understood, but what is a strip club?"
Me and my big mouth. I merely gave him a small smile and said honestly.
"Somewhere you will never set foot in if you want to be my boyfriend."
Kol instantly nodded and said.
"Deal. So, is that a yes?"
I gave him a small peck on the cheek and replied.
"Yes. Now, don't ask Klaus about the stri ... eep!"
I was interrupted by Kol's lips slamming hungrily against mine. I kissed him back as passionately as I could and thought to myself, 'no going back now'. Kol then surprised me by flipping us over with him hovering on top of me. I gave a small laugh and simply continued kissing him. It was then that I heard the sound of the front door open and someone yell.
"Damon! You better not have kidnapped Diamond! Or, I'm ... "
Stefan!
Well this sure was embarrassing. He then seemed to pause on his threat as he took me and Kol in. Kol's face instantly morphed into that of a vampire and he growled.
"Get lost, Salvatore!"
With that, Stefan quickly spun around and ran out the front door. I gave a small laugh then said.
"This is his house, you know."
Kol gave a casual shrug and said.
"Your point?"
He then leaned down and kissed me senseless again.
P.S. I recently created a POLL because I am really stuck about the next chapter. I AM going to let Diamond tell Klaus about Hayley. I just don't know if Klaus should get her pregnant or not. I really need you guys' opinion on this. The next chapter will not be posted until I have some reasonable poll results. Also, do keep in mind that this story is AU. Anything can go down. I saw Klaus' child from two points of view and here they are.
1.) He could have her, but she would always be in danger, and I know Klaus had to send her away in The Originals. Is it really alright and fair for a baby to live like that?
2.) Klaus always wanted a family, and with baby Hope he finally has it. He seemed really happy when she was born.
