Kol's Insanity
I merely gave Stefan a small smirk then turned to my burger. I ate in peace for several seconds until Stefan said.
"Wait a minute, Silas can't be my descendant. He's obviously older than me, so that would make him my ancestor. You said it wrong."
I placed my burger down then turned to stare at him and deadpanned annoyed.
"I was forced to wear some ridiculous heels for several hours last night. I was kidnapped by your brother. I had to save his arrogant behind because Kol wanted his head. I nearly suffocated to death thanks to a fire Kol started at your house, and was very well slapped by Rebekah last night. Not only that, but I had to deal with Klaus this morning. So, you'll have to excuse me if I made a small mistake, Stefan."
Stefan merely stared at me with his jaw slightly slack then said.
"I wasn't trying ..."
"I know."
I then took a small drink of my Sprite and said.
"Don't be too picky about things, Stefan. Especially if they're that small. You know what I meant. I'm just telling you that most people don't like that. It's annoying. To answer your question; you are right. Silas is your ANCESTOR."
I then gave a small huff and murmured.
"Picky vampires."
I saw Stefan smile then say in the same tone.
"Mysterious psychics."
I smirked at that then said.
"I'm not mysterious. I'm simply private. Huge difference, homeboy."
Stefan merely chuckled at my response and I smiled in return. It was then that I heard a young, cute voice yell.
"Miss Diamond! Miss Diamond!"
I slowly spun around in my stool and saw little Miranda running towards me with her arms outstretched. I placed Chucky on the bar top then extended my arms to her and caught her as soon as she jumped into my arms. I gently placed her in my lap as she giggled cutely against my hair then said.
"Miss Diamond! You look different today!"
I gave her a smile and replied.
"That's because I'm wearing shorts and not a dress. How about you? You look gorgeous today, Miranda. Look at you and your beautiful red dress. It goes nice with your hair."
Miranda instantly giggled then replied.
"Thank you. My mommy bought this new dress for me. She said I look prettier than Elsa."
I raised an eyebrow and questioned.
"Elsa?"
She smiled brightly at me then said.
"Yes! Elsa from Frozen. She has ice powers and she made Olaf."
Ohhhh ….. she was talking about Frozen. That made sense. I pulled her slightly back to look at her and I could see the resemblance. Miranda did kind of look like a mini Elsa except with red hair. I gently ruffled her strawberry locks and replied.
"Your mommy was very right. You do look prettier than Elsa."
She instantly smiled and replied.
"Thank you, Miss Diamond."
I gave her a small smile then slightly turned around and grabbed a fry. I then extended it towards her and asked.
"Do you want a fry, Miranda?"
She carefully took it from my hand and ate the fry offered. She then looked up at me and said.
"Thank you very much. It's good."
I then pulled the fries more forward and said.
"Here you go, sweetie. You can have them all."
She immediately nodded and began to dig into the fries. I gave her a small smile and simply let her eat. It was then that I looked over to the side and saw Stefan staring at me curiously. He then tilted his head to the side and asked.
"How do you know her? I thought you lived with The Originals."
I nodded then replied.
"I do live with them. I met her yesterday and we just clicked. She's a really sweet and polite little girl. I like her."
Stefan simply nodded then turned to order a drink. Miranda seemed to notice him for the first time since she turned to him and said.
"Hi, Mister. Are you Miss Diamond's friend?"
Stefan turned towards her and replied unsurely.
"I'd like to think I am, considering she's been so nice to me and the people I care about."
I gave Stefan a smile and replied honestly.
"Of course we're friends, Stefan."
It was then that I heard a familiar voice say.
"Funny, the last time I heard, friends aren't supposed to nearly burn their friend's house to the ground."
I clenched my hands tightly around Miranda's small waist and quickly asked.
"Sweetie, where's your mommy?"
Miranda then pushed against the bar to turn us around and pointed to a booth near the entrance. I quickly noticed her mother as she happily waved at me. I carefully jumped off the stool still holding Miranda and took her over to her mother. Her mother started apologizing to me about Miranda not letting me eat and I told her it was nothing and not to worry about it. I then walked back to my spot by the bar and noticed there was someone new sitting on the other side of me. I turned to glare at him and said.
"Are you seriously dumb or just a jerk? You can't be saying stuff like that in front of a child. What the heck is wrong with you, Damon?"
He merely smirked at me and said.
"And, hello to you too, little jewel. Where's your boy toy? Did he get bored of you already?"
That little mother ... Deep breaths. Deep breaths. Foul language solves nothing. Don't let him get to you. I took several deep breaths then retorted back smartly.
"Actually, he's at school right now terrorizing your slut of a girlfriend."
At that, his arrogant smirk instantly wiped off his face and made mine grow bigger. That's what he gets for being a douche. I then took a sip of my Sprite and said honestly.
"Have you considered getting yourself checked for bipolarity? First, you kidnap me. Then you thank me and are slightly civil. Then you're back to being a jerk. I saved your sorry behind from Kol last night, but don't make the mistake of thinking I'll do it again. I don't control Kol and if he wants too he'll kill you faster than you can say, "Elena." So, I would be very careful about how you act around me."
He instantly glared at me and snarled.
"Are you threatening me?"
I merely shrugged and stated bluntly.
"I know I can't take you down. I'm not stupid enough to try. What I am, is smart enough to get you killed by someone who can take you down. I'm not your precious and ignorant Elena. I know the facts of life and reality. The reality being that I am not strong enough to kill you myself, but I am SMART enough to get you killed. Just keep that mind."
Damon seemed to get more annoyed by the second then he snapped back.
"You nearly burned my house to the ground!"
I glared back at him and snapped.
"I SAVED your house from burning to the ground, you jerkoff! I nearly died of suffocation in the process!"
That shut him up. I merely huffed then snarled at him.
"I ALSO saved your sorry behind from getting your heart ripped out for kidnapping me! I saved your ungrateful and disrespectful face! So, shut up and take a hike! I'm done talking to you, jerk!"
With that, I turned towards Stefan and said.
"As I was saying, before we were so rudely interrupted. I am your friend, Stefan. You're not a douchebag like some people around here and that's why I like you."
Stefan simply stared at me for several seconds then leaned his head against the bar and busted out laughing. I frowned and asked slightly peeved.
"Oh, so now my friendship is a big joke to you?"
He immediately looked up and replied with a smile.
"Not at all. I'm just ...You ... What you said to him was just hilarious. I've never seen anyone tell Damon off like that. Not even Bonnie has ever been that blunt."
I merely rolled my eyes and turned to my burger. From the corner of my eye, I could see that Damon hadn't moved and was simply sitting there glaring at me. I gave him a side glance and said.
"Boo! Got a staring problem?"
He merely smirked at me and said.
"I can see why Kol wants you so much. You've got some fire hidden under all of those smiles and kindness. You're feisty."
I simply scoffed at him and replied.
"I didn't stutter. Take a hike. I don't like you."
His smirk only seemed to grow as he replied tauntingly.
"And if I refuse?"
I didn't even bat an eyelash as I replied.
"I'll call Kol and tell him to rip Elena's heart out and give it to you as an early birthday present."
I took a small bite of my burger and replied casually.
"You know he'll do it too."
His smile was gone once again. I really didn't like playing the Kol card, but Damon was simply way too annoying and cocky for his own good. Someone needed to bring him down a peg or twelve. I looked to the side and realized that Stefan was unusually silent. He didn't seem angry at my remark only slightly disturbed. Damon then glared at me said.
"Hiding behind your little boy toy? What? Can't kill Elena on your own?"
I simply laughed and replied.
"Like I've said before, I know I can't personally kill a vampire, but I can get an even stronger and more psychotic vampire to do the killings for me. I'm not an idiot. Don't think that just because I'm a brunet, I'm just like your tramp of a girlfriend."
I then turned to look fully at him and said seriously.
"Oh, and in case you didn't hear me when I was talking to Stefan, she will screw you over eventually. In my vision she made out with Elijah in order to get the Cure from him. Goes to show how loyal she is to you, huh?"
He glared at me and snapped.
"You're lying."
I raised my eyebrows at him and quickly began.
"You came to Mystic Falls in order to save Katherine from the tomb she was never in. You turned Elena's mother Isobel, who also happened to be your best friend Alaric's supposedly dead wife. You killed Mason Lockwood. You killed your last descendant Zack Salvatore. Not very smart, btw. You became real good friends with a vampire named Rose who died in your arms. Oh, and Stefan saved your ungrateful arse from a werewolf bite by offering himself up to Klaus."
He looked completely floored as to how I knew all of that. I simply gave a small yawn then took a sip of my Sprite and said.
"I'm psychic. I know nearly everything because I've seen it. So, do you believe me now when I say she's going to make a fool out of you? That must hit your man pride real bad, huh?"
To say he was mad, would have been a great understatement. He looked lethally pissed off. I merely turned slightly away from him and finished up my burger. I had to hand it to the chef their burgers were good. I finished off my Sprite then called over the server. I pulled out Klaus' card and told her to charge more for the tip. She charged the card then handed it back to me. Once I had placed it safely away, I turned to Stefan and said.
"Hey, Stefan, can you give me Bonnie's number? I lost it and I need to get with her about when we're going to leave for The Island."
Stefan instantly nodded and pulled out his phone. I quickly pulled mine out of my back pocket and carefully typed in her number as he read it out to me. I then saved Bonnie in my contacts and said casually.
"Can you give me yours too, Stefan? I have your joke for an older brother's phone number, so I NEED to have yours."
Stefan simply chuckled at my statement then said.
"Sure."
I then quickly added his humber as well then placed my phone in my back pocket. I never knew when I might actually need Stefan for something important. I was brought out of my thoughts by the sound of a small and timid voice saying.
"Diamond?"
I quickly turned around and saw Rubi standing nervously behind me. I gave her a big smile and said happily.
"Hey, Rubi. Ready to go?"
She smiled back at me warmly and replied.
"Most definitely."
I nodded then grabbed Chucky from the counter top and jumped off the stool. I gave Stefan a small smile and said.
"Thanks for the ride Stefan. I'll see you around, okay?"
Stefan returned the smile and said.
"Okay.
With that, we walked out of The Grill and made our way to her car. It appeared to be one of those new types of Camaro cars, but I couldn't be too sure. I really didn't know anything about car models. The only thing my uncles had ever taught me was how to air a tire, add water for the windshield wipers, and how to do an engine/transmission oil change. Which were basic things everyone needed to know about a car. Oh, and how to actually determine if you needed an engine or transmission oil change. Other than those things, anything car-related completely stumped me.
Rubi quickly got in the driver's seat and I carefully slipped in beside her. She turned on the car and began to carefully back out of her spot. Once we were good to go, she began to cautiously drive away from downtown and towards her home. We were quiet for a couple of seconds until she said.
"I didn't know you were friends with the Salvatore brothers."
At that, I smiled and replied honestly.
"I'm not. I'm only friends with Stefan. Damon can go trip over a sta ... station of ants."
Rubi giggled then said.
"You don't like his older brother? Why? He's actually quite attractive. I would date him. Then again that would be weird considering I don't even know his name or ever spoken to him."
I gave her a small smile and replied carefully.
"His name's Damon, and believe me when I say not knowing him is a good thing. He is a huge player and he is head over heels for some skank already."
"Do you mean Elena Gilbert?"
I quickly turned to face her and asked in surprise.
"Yeah, how do you know that?"
Rubi gave an almost sad sigh and replied calmly.
"Even a blind person could see how she's playing with both of the brothers. It was also quite bluntly thrown in the town's face when she appeared at the first Mikaelson ball with both of them on either arm. I honestly feel really bad for them. To let a girl come in between them like that must be really hard and painful."
I merely gave a small nod at her wise and truthful words then replied honestly.
"I really don't like her. To be honest, I blame both of them. Her and Damon. Her for being a two-timing slut, and Damon for betraying blood for a skank. I suppose if you look at it a different way they're great for each other. Then again, Damon has had a real bad luck in the love department. Maybe that's why Elena was so easily able to get to him."
I quickly buried my face in Chucky's hair and moaned.
"Ugh, I don't even know how to feel towards them anymore. Both of the brothers should just abandon the dumb broad and go on vacation to Europe or something."
I was brought out of my thoughts by Rubi clearing her throat and saying.
"You seem to know a lot for someone who just moved here."
Me and my big mouth. I gave a slight cough then replied calmly.
"Well, my mother knew the Mikaelson's years ago and they've kind of filled me in about eveything that's happened around here. Now that Kol and I are together he's also ..."
At that statement, Rubi firmly slammed on the breaks and turned to stare at me. Her eyes were wide in disbelief and her hands appeared to be shaking. I stared at her in confusion then questioned.
"Rubi? Are you okay?"
Rubi merely took deep calm breaths then replied carefully.
"You're dating Kol? As in Rebekah's brother Kol?"
I gave a firm nod then said.
"Yeah, we're together. Why are you ... "
Rubi gulped then replied hesitantly.
"I like you Diamond. I really do and that's why the only thing I'm going to say to you is that you need to be careful. Kol ... Kol actually showed up to school today and terrorized the entire student body including the teachers. He gave very detailed and very graphic descriptions of what would happen to anyone who dared to mess with or even LOOK at 'his precious darling'. Based on what you just said, I'm thinking he was talking about you. He ... Kol is truly something else. I've never seen anyone speak of torture and murder as if they were just speaking about the weather like Kol did."
Rubi then began to drive once again and added thoughtfully.
"I'm surprised they didn't call his older brothers due to his misbehavior. Some of the things he was saying could have possibly gotten him arrested."
Yeah, like Kol could be restrained by some simple jail cell. No, what I actually meant to say was, as if Kol would even LET himself be put in a jail cell. Kol would slaughter every single deputy in town before they could even touch him. He was just THAT messed up. I merely shook my head and replied calmly.
"Kol is a bit ... "
Rubi interrupted me and finished.
"Possessive? Yeah, I noticed. The majority of the people being threatened were the guys. How ... how do you feel about that?"
How did I feel about Kol's possessiveness? I placed my finger lightly under my chin and replied thoughtfully.
"To be honest, I don't really know. His possessiveness means he cares about me, so I guess that's a good thing. On the other hand, he did punch Stefan for dancing with me and I didn't like that one bit. It really isn't like Kol locks me away in his room and doesn't let me out. I have a lot of freedom and I am friends with his older siblings. So, I guess you could say I really don't mind that much."
I then lowered my hand and wrapped them both securely around Chucky and finished.
"Besides, most of the times his possessive side appeared was when another male was directly involved. Then again, we've only been together for about a day, so I'll just have to wait and see how he is."
I then turned to Rubi and noticed she appeared a bit relaxed. She gave me a small smile and replied.
"That's right. You can totally dump him if he becomes a controlling assh*le. Don't take that type of crap from him or anyone, you hear me? Kick him where it hurts if he ever tries anything you don't like."
I instantly narrowed my eyes and looked directly at her. Her clenched fists and almost determined look made me pause. I thought about her posture and words for a few seconds then bingo! I tilted my head slightly to the side and asked calmly.
"Who was he?"
At that, Rubi did a sharp turn to the right and quickly pulled into a small white house with a beautiful garden and elegant fountain in the front yard. She pressed a button on her keys and the white garage door slowly slid open. Once she was fully inside, she cut off the engine and turned to stare at me. The look in her eyes seemed pained almost as if she held the world's problems on her shoulders. Her body was tensed and her long red hair seemed to fall wildly against her shoulders. I slowly leaned back against the seat and said carefully.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been so blunt. It's not my place."
I noticed how her tense stance seemed to relax. She then closed her eyes and leaned her head against the headrest of the car. She took several calm breaths then replied with her eyes still closed.
"His name was Derek. I had had a crush on him since the fourth grade, but he never noticed me, and I was too afraid to talk to him. It was as if the universe was purposely trying to torture me by putting him in nearly every one of my classes all through elementary, middle, and finally high school. The universe, fate, or whatever was even more cruel to me when it placed his current girlfriends AND him in my same class. It hurt so much, but for some reason I was able to endure it."
She then opened her eyes and seemed to stare off into nothing as she said.
"Then it was as if the universe finally took pity on me last year and he finally asked me to be his girl. I didn't want to seem desperate, so I told him that we should first get to know each other and go on some dates. Surprisingly, he agreed."
She then turned to look over at me and could see tears begin to form in the corners of her eyes as she said.
"It was perfect. No, he was perfect. He was just like I imagined he would be. So, after about a week of pure happiness I agreed. After we were officially together, everything changed. He was no longer the sweet caring guy I fell in love with. He became a monster. He completely took control over everything. When I say everything, I mean everything. He no longer allowed me to hang out with any of my friends. He was constantly going through my phone and demanding to know everything I did. He even picked out my own clothing. I remember this one time I had on a pretty, blue, skirt that my grandmother had given to me one month before she died, and when he saw me wearing it he ripped it right off of me and set it on fire. RIGHT INFRONT OF HIS FRIENDS! He destroyed my self-esteem by saying that I should be lucky he had chosen me when he could have any other girl. Which I knew was true. He would always say I was his and that no matter what I did I always would be his. He hurt me so much, but I stayed with him because I loved him."
At her story, I could begin to feel my own eyes fill with tears. Just her look of absolute pain and misery made me want to break down in a stream of tears. I actually did allow several tears to fall on her behalf. Rubi then took a deep breath and continued.
"Although, all of my love for him was not strong enough to forgive what he did to me one night. I had to stay after school one day because I was failing four classes and was on the verge of having to repeat the semester. My family couldn't seem to understand what could be the problem, but I knew it was because I was depressed and sad about the situation I was in. My family had no idea about how he treated me because he was always the perfect boyfriend around them. Anyway, my mother had needed my car that day, so I decided to simply walk home from school. As I was walking down the street, I saw a car speed down right past me then suddenly slam down on the breaks. I thought for sure it was some drunk psycho, but it was him. He actually left the car in the middle of the road and stormed up to me. As soon as he reached me, he ... he struck me. He hit me and began calling me whore. I was so shocked at the fact he had actually hit me that it didn't register when he shoved into an alley and began tearing off my clothes. When I felt him press me down on the floor was when I began screaming and crying for help. He hit me again and placed a rag against my mouth so I wouldn't scream. I thought for sure he would rape me then kill me, but ... "
I was actually shaking of pure rage at her story. I wanted to find this son of b*tch named Derek and kill him myself. I wasn't new to the act of murdering someone. That was one of the reasons I was undergoing therapy, and was locked up in an At Risk Teens compound for a month. I slowly stopped my shaking then whispered.
"What happened? Did he ... ?"
I couldn't even seem to finish my sentence. I was simply that enraged. Rubi then gave me a small, almost relieved smile and said.
"Thankfully, I'm still a virgin. I was saved by someone. He grabbed Derek from behind then pulled him off of me and slammed him against the wall. I don't know who it was, but I know it was a man. The last thing I remember was hearing my savior say, "Hey, dick, that's no way to treat a woman." I awoke the next day in a hospital bed surrounded by my family. The first thing I did was ask if my hero was there, but everyone said they had found me wandering around in front of the hospital and no one had been with me. I remember his voice, so there's no way I could have imagined him. I've been playing close attention to nearly everyone in town and so far I've had no luck in finding him. I'm also a bit guarded around guys, so that makes my search a bit harder. The only thing I can tell you is that I WILL find him and give him the proper thank you he deserves."
I gave Rubi a kind smile and replied sincerely.
"I'm sure you will find him. Although, what happened to that scumbag? Was he ... "
"Arrested? No, he wasn't."
At that, my smile fell and I screeched indignantly.
"WHAT! Why the bloody hell not? He deserves to rot in ... "
Rubi interrupted me and replied calmly.
"Believe me, I also believe he should rot in a jail cell, but the thing is that he's ... he's dead. He was murdered by some wild animal deep in the forest. My best bet is that my hero scared him off into the woods where the animal got to him."
At that, I actually smiled and said.
"Karma, without a doubt, will always be my best friend."
Rubi stared at me intently and asked seriously.
"You believe in karma too?"
I gave her a firm nod and replied surely.
"For every bad thing a person does, karma is always ready to get them twice as a bad. That's why most of the time I just let things go and let karma do its job."
Rubi smiled at me and said.
"That is very true. So, do you want to go ahead and come inside?"
I nodded and we both carefully stepped out of her car. I held Chucky firmly with one hand and followed her inside. We entered through what appeared to be her laundry room and made our way to her living room. It appeared Rubi had already come home and prepared for our day together. Since, her black leather couches and small tables had been pushed against the walls. There was a huge gap in the middle of her living room and a large stereo system was neatly organized on top of a small table.
I carefully placed Chucky on one of the couches and said.
"I see you're really ready for these lessons."
At that, Rubi gave a small blush and replied.
"That obvious, huh? I've just been so eager to meet someone with my same passion that when you agreed to teach me I was ecstatic."
I smiled then replied.
"Don't worry, girly. I get it. So, let's go ahead and get started."
I then pulled out my phone and connected it to her stereo with the auxillary cord. I shifted through the music I had downloaded and asked.
"Which song would you like to do first?"
She immediately replied.
"Lucifer by SHINee."
Well someone seemed prepared. I merely gave a small laugh and replied.
"Good choice. This was probably the third dance I fully learned. Have you practiced this dance before?"
She gave me a firm nod and replied.
"I've been practicing the dance since I heard it. I think I'm ok, but I know I still need more practice."
I gave her a reassuring smile then said.
"Alright, let's do this."
I then pressed the play button and quickly turned up the volume. I then dashed to stand infront of her and listened as the song began. After Jonghyun finished his part of the beginning of the song Rubi and I both sang the fanchant.
"LeeJinki, KimJonghyun, KimKibum, ChoiMinho, LeeTaemin, SHINee, LUCIFER!"
Once the song officially began, I began to move and twirl my hands just like I remembered. I watched as Rubi movements mirrored mine except she didn't move her feet. Therefore, I stopped dancing and stopped the song. Rubi paused in her dancing and I said.
"Your hand movements are perfect, but you need to move your feet too."
Rubi instantly nodded and said.
"Ok, can you show me?"
I nodded then without playing the stereo I sang and moved my feet.
"Nareul mukko gadundamyeon sarangdo ... "
I then slightly bent my knees and moved my hands to the side as I finished.
" ... mukkin chae. See, your feet are a major part of the choreography. Now, you try."
I then restarted the song on the stereo and we were once again in the same positions. This time Rubi seemed completely concentrated as she sang to the same part while doing the choreography. It came as no surprise as she did the choreography prefectly. The thing that bummed me out was after that she stopped. A song like Lucifer couldn't have a stop or pauses or else it would mess up your movements. The choreography was all about going with the flow and your body moving in a constant rhythm. I gave Rubi a reassuring smile and said.
"Very good, very good, now let's try doing the rest of the song without pauses or stopping."
Once again her look of determination appeared and she said.
"Alright, let's go."
I once again restarted the song and began to dance beside her. We both did the fan chant and began doing the choreography. Now, that she was moving her feet she was doing much more better. I was actually having a lot of fun dancing with her. We both even ended up singing parts of the song. We then finished the song with the same poses as the video and I said sincerely.
"That was good. I don't know why you need lessons. You're very good at dancing."
Rubi then gave a small laugh and rubbed the back of her head saying.
"Well, actually Lucifer and Mr. Simple are my favorite songs that's how I know the choreographies so well."
"I see. You've only learned the ones you like."
She then gave me a small nod in response and I said.
"Ok then. Let's try something else."
I then moved towards the stereo and grabbed my phone. I skimmed through the songs until I found one I liked. I then looked over at Rubi and said.
"This song is called, "It's War," by MBLAQ. Have you heard it before?"
She bit her lip then replied honestly.
"I've heard of the group, but I've never heard that song."
I smiled then replied.
"Trust me, you'll like it. It's different to Mr. Simple and Lucifer, but it's a good different. The video actually made me cry."
Rubi then instantly looked up and said.
"Let's watch it. My TV is a SMART TV and I have Wi-Fi. Hold on."
She then moved towards her TV and turned it on. She quickly accessed YouTube and handed me the remote. I gave her a small smile then typed in the song. The music video was the first to appear and I quickly selected it. I then took a seat on the floor and Rubi quickly followed. We remained silent as the video began and I noticed how Rubi seemed to shift forward as Lee Joon appeared. As the video progressed, I became engrossed with it and began to softly sing along. Once the video finished, I was surprised to hear sniffling beside me. I looked over to the side and realized Rubi was in tears. Oh crud!
I instantly shifted towards her and wrapped my arms around her shoulders as she cried. I rubbed her back and said.
"Come on, Rubi. It's ok. He didn't really die."
Rubi sniffled against me and said.
"I know. It's just ... that's so sad. He really loved her and then ... "
She then continued to softly cry on my shoulder and I gave a small sigh. This was going to be a long day.
After Rubi had calmed down, I decided to just show her the dance version of the song. We practiced and followed the dance version for two hours until she finally had it spot on. By that time, she was already singing to the song with so much passion it made me feel really happy to have met her. After the straight two hour practice session Rubi decided we should take a break. I only drank some water and had a small bowl of grapes while she had a sandwich and juice. Once we finished, we went back to practicing, but this time with different songs. We danced to SORRY, SORRY, Ring Ding Dong, and Falling In Love for the rest of the day.
It wasn't until I saw car headlights shinning through the window that I realized how late it actually was. I quickly pulled myself up from the floor and said.
"Man, it's really late. Kol and his siblings must be flipping out about where I am."
Rubi then stood as well and said.
"I'm so sorry, Diamond. It's all my fault if I hadn't insisted on ... "
"Hey, I had fun. Don't worry about it. I would be upset had you simply wasted my time, but you're really good at this and I can tell you genuinely like K-Pop."
Rubi instantly gave me a bright smile and replied.
"You know it."
I gave a small laugh and was about to respond when her front door slowly opened. It was then that a woman with beautiful, long, red hair followed by a tall man with light, blonde, hair stepped inside the living room. As soon as they saw me, the woman gave me a kind smile and said.
"Well, hello there. You must be Rubi's new friend."
I gave her a small smile and replied with a nod.
"Yes, I am. It's nice to meet you ma'am."
She then extended her hand towards me and said.
"Well aren't you sweet. I'm Linda and this is my husband David. It's so nice to meet you."
I shook her hand and replied politely.
"It's a pleasure, Mrs. Linda."
I then looked at her tall, intimidating, husband and said.
"It's nice to meet you, Sir."
He merely raised an eyebrow at me then said bluntly.
"So, you're Rubi's new friend? Let's just hope this one doesn't turn out to be ... what was that word again? Oh, right. Fake, like the others who were only her friends for our money and for Rubi's homework."
Wow, talk about harsh. I heard Rubi exclaim mortified.
"Dad!"
I smiled and stated calmly.
"It's ok, Rubi. He's your dad and he's just trying to look out for you."
I then looked directly at her father and stated boldly.
"I live with the Mikaelson family in their mansion. Therefore, I'm sure you can tell I am not after your money. Back home, I passed my previous school semester with a 105 in mathematics and literature. While I passed the rest of my classes with straight 100's. So, Rubi's homework is safe from me."
Her father then narrowed his eyes at me and replied.
"Smart aleck, huh?"
"No, Sir. Just smart."
At that, he stared at me for several more seconds then smiled and said with a chuckle.
"You're bold. I respect that about you, kid. Take care of my daughter, alright?"
I gave him a smile in return and replied.
"Understood."
It was then that I heard Rubi say awkwardly.
"Ooookaaayyyyy ... well, I should really take Diamond home. Her family must be worried about her."
She then began to lead back into her garage away from her parents. I quickly grabbed Chucky from her sofa on the way out as her mother waved bye after me and called out.
"Next time, please stay for dinner, Diamond!"
I then called out and said.
"I will, ma'am!"
Once the door shut behind us, Rubi instantly said.
"I am so sorry about my dad. My mom is probably handing it to him right ... "
It was then that we heard a loud screech of ...
"David Ruben Carter! You come back here this instant!"
I looked over at Rubi and realized she had a mortified look on her face. I gave her a small smile then asked.
"Your mom is about to murder your dad, right?"
Rubi then nodded and said slightly embarrassed.
"My dad always does this to all my new friends. You're the only one that hasn't cowered back or stuttered."
We then both slipped inside her car and I replied casually.
"I guess you could say not a lot of people can really scare me nowadays. Except clowns, if a clown as so much as looks at me, I will trip right out the door."
Rubi then started her car and began laughing at me. She then gave me a teasing smile and said.
"Clowns? Really? That's such a typical phobia. I would understand snakes or even spiders, but clowns? Really, Diamond?"
I merely shrugged and replied.
"Hey, you try not to fear them when you're nearly kidnapped by one at the age of five."
At that, she abruptly stopped laughing and said.
"I'm sorry. I thought you were kidding."
I shrugged again, as she pulled out of her driveway, and began to drive towards Klaus' mansion. I could tell she felt guilty over the whole clown thing, so I said casually.
"Besides, spiders and snakes don't trip me out. I actually had a pet tarantula back when I was twelve." (A/N: True Strory.)
I saw her freeze in her seat then give me a strange look. I played innocent then asked.
"What?"
We then slowly made a stop at a stop light and she said increduously.
"You had a pet tarantula when you were twelve?"
I nodded then replied casually.
"Yeah, I took care of him until my mom found out about him and I had to release him."
The light changed and Rubi stepped on the gas. She was quiet for several seconds then she asked thoughtfully.
"Didn't it ever bite you? Weren't you scared one day it would turn on you and you could die?"
I shook my head and replied.
"Nope, I was never once bitten."
She looked at me from the corner of her eye and asked surprised.
"Why? How?"
I actually pondered on that then replied honestly.
"Honestly? I don't know. Maybe he liked me because I took care of him. It also could've been because we were mainly our own thing. He didn't bug me and I didn't bug him. We were pretty cool with each other."
Rubi seemed incredibly perplexed by my response, but took it nonetheless. She then smoothly pulled up to the mansion and said.
"Well, here you are. I had a lot of fun today and I'm glad you actually showed up. We should do this again some time."
I gave her a smile in return and replied.
"Yeah, we totally should, but I'm going to be gone for the next couple of days. I have to go out of town and get some things done before I can fully settle here. I hope you can understand that."
I HAD to get everything moving to go to The Island. The longer I took, the more chances and opportunities it gave someone to screw it all up. I needed to leave and take care of Silas before I could have any more fun or got distracted. Rubi instantly nodded and said.
"Yeah, of course! I understand. We'll do this when you have everything here sorted out. You must still be moving your things and getting your paperwork from back home. I'm really glad you took the day to hang out with me."
I waved my hand dismisively and said.
"It was no problem. Like I said, I enjoyed our day together and had a lot of fun. You should give me your number, so I can call you."
Rubi instantly nodded and I carefully pulled out my phone from my back pocket. I quickly typed in her number and saved her in my contacts. I then opened the door and stepped out. I used Chucky's hand to wave goodbye and said.
"I'll call you!"
Rubi gave me a thumbs up then pulled out of the drive towards her house. I carefully held Chucky on my hip and said.
"Well, we can't be friends with Damon, but we got Rubi. She's much cooler anyway."
I then looked over at him and said.
"Right, Chucky?"
Obviously, I received no response. So, I gave Chucky a small kiss on the forehead and made my way towards the door. I had such an amazing day today. Nothing could possibly ruin my good mood. Once I reached the door, I wasn't sure if I should knock or just go in. This wasn't my house and my mother had taught me to never enter another person's home without their permission. Therefore, I settled with knocking. I gave the door three firm taps, but received no answer. Were they all gone? I tried knocking again and called out.
"Kol, it's me! Can you please let me in?"
No response. I tried again.
"Klaus? Elijah? It's me Diamond! Can one of you please open the door?"
Dead silence. Something was wrong. They couldn't all be gone. Could they? The most important question being, where was Kol? Was he ok? Why wasn't he home yet?
Oooooooo, if Klaus took him to the strip club both of those Original brothers were going to feel my wrath. With that thought in mind, I decided to go ahead and let myself in. I turned the knob and slowly opened the door. As soon as I stepped inside, my face drained of all color and I released a blood-curdling scream.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!"
It was something straight out of a horror movie. There was numerous bloody and mangled bodies all over the living room. The entire living room seemed to have been painted with human blood. I looked towards the ceiling and saw the girl that had made me a sandwich hanging off the chandelier with her throat ripped open. There were several other people stacked in a pile near the fireplace and one of the side windows was coated in blood and bloody handprints. Who could have done this? It was that I recognized one body among the rest.
Klaus!
I quickly placed Chucky outside the house by the door and carefully made my way towards Klaus. I was careful to not look at or step on any of the bodies. Once I reached him, I noticed that his neck was turned in a very gruesome fashion and he had several pieces of furniture impaled into his body. I then looked up and saw Elijah, also with his necked twisted, pinned to the wall by some sort of large pole. I ran towards Elijah then took his face in my hands and screamed.
"Elijah! Wake up, please! Who did this to you! Elijah! Please, wake up!"
I was literally sobbing in dispair and horror as Elijah remained unresponsive. I had to do something, but what? I thought about it for several seconds until it dawned on me.
BLOOD!
I quickly made my way toward their kitchen and slammed their refrigerator door open. Food, food, food. A ha! Blood! I quickly grabbed a knife and opened a small corner of one bag and then another bag. I then made my way back to the living room with tears still in my eyes and ran towards Elijah. I held the bag next to his mouth and coaxed.
"Come on, Elijah. Drink, please, drink."
No response. No, please, he couldn't be dead. I knew he wasn't. He was an Original. He couldn't be killed so easily. I then placed the other blood bag on top of the fireplace and used both hands to squish blood on Elijah's lips. For the first minute nothing was happening. The blood was simply trailing down his mouth onto his suit, which I was pretty sure he would be upset about. All of a sudden, I felt Elijah twitch and slowly lift his head. His head snapped back into place and he blinked his eyes open several times. I then squeezed more blood towards him and saw his eyes flash open and turn black with hunger. He then seemed to compose himself and said.
"Can you please take a step back so I may remove this object from my person?"
I nodded then quickly moved out of the way and watched him grab the huge pole-thing with both hands and pull it out. He then gave a large gasp and leaned against the wall. I then carefully handed him the blood bag and he took it graciously. He tore the hole more open with his teeth and quickly finished the whole bag. I looked over at him worriedly and asked.
"Elijah, what happened? Who did this to you? Where's Rebekah? Where's Kol?"
At my mention of Kol, I saw Elijah straighten up and narrow his eyes in anger. Why would he ... ?
No.
It wasn't possible.
It couldn't be.
Kol would never ...
He ...
I talked to him ...
He wouldn't ...
Elijah brought me out of my thoughts by saying.
"Kol has the white oak stake and he's after our little sister. He will not rest and no one will be safe until he finds her."
I backed away and said in tears.
"No! No! No! He wouldn't! Kol wouldn't do this! You must have mistaken him for someone else! I talked to him! Kol wouldn't ... He's good! Kol's good! I know he is!"
Elijah's simple response was.
"I would go find him and let him know you are still here before he kills Rebekah and Niklaus awakens. There is no doubt in my mind that he will hunt down Kol and place him in a coffin once again."
He then pulled out his car keys and handed them over to me. I stared at him and said sadly.
"Elijah, I'm so ... "
Elijah placed his hand on my shoulder and said.
"I do not blame you for Kol's ... lack of control. Now, go find him and let him know you are still here and alive."
I nodded then carefully made my way out the door and grabbed Chucky on my way. I clicked the button on the keys and saw they led me to a black Mercedes. I quickly got inside the car, placed Chucky in the passenger seat, and started the engine. I then pulled out of the drive and began to drive deeper into town. The only problem was where on earth could Kol be? I decided to place myself in Kol's shoes. Hold on, what the heck was I talking about? I could NEVER put myself in his shoes. Kol was more crazy than me!
I pulled to the side of the road and thought hard. If I was hunting down Rebekah, I would look ... Matt's house! I didn't know where he lived though! I had to ask someone! So, I drove to the only place's location I knew besides The Grill. I made my way down the same road from the show and quickly pulled up near the front door. I placed the car on Park and dashed out the door. I quickly banged on the door and began yelling.
"Stefan! I need your help! Stefan!"
The door then quickly slammed open and there stood Stefan. I wasted no time and said.
"Matt! Where does Matt live?"
Stefan seemed confused by my outburst and asked.
"Why do you ... "
"Kol is hunting down Rebekah and he's going to kill them both if I don't stop him!"
Stefan eyes grew wide in surprise and he yelled.
"WHAT! WHY?"
I shook my head and said.
"No time! Tell me where he lives!"
Stefan then quickly nodded and began giving directions on how to get there. I listened carefully then gave him thanks and was about to leave when I heard a female voice say.
"What the hell is she doing here! Get her out of here before I rip her throat out!"
This dumb broad. If I wasn't in such a panic to find Kol I would've proudly decked her again like the first night I came here. I looked over inside the house and realized Damon was holding her back and trying to get her back upstairs. I then heard her yell.
"She thinks that just because she's spreading her legs for Kol he's going to protect her from when I rip her throat out! Well, she's stupid if she thinks that he's going to protect her for much longer! She's just his little toy until he gets bored!"
That was it! That was the last bloody straw! I was done with this stupid slut and her b*tchy attitude! I only gave her one last glare then turned to Stefan and said seriously.
"I'm done with her, Stefan. I know she used to be the love of your life, whatever, but I'm done. I wasn't going to do this. I'm, honest to Bob, I wasn't, but I'm done. I can't stand her and I never could. When I find Kol, I'm going to tell him to come and wipe her off the face of this planet. Tell her to enjoy her last day on earth because once I find Kol, she's done."
With that, I turned away from him and quickly made my way back to Elijah's car. I hopped on and quickly drove down the road to Matt's house. Once I turned on his street, I quickly noticed a figure walking down the road. I then saw the figure walk up to a house and up the steps. I saw them knock and noticed a familiar blonde head open the door. The door was then firmly shut in the unknown figure's face and that's when the figure turned around and I realized it was Kol.
I drove more quickly and quickly parked the car infront of another house across the street. I turned off the engine, grabbed Chucky and dashed out the door. I ran across the street and was just in time to see Kol grab the neighbor's mailbox and throw it straight into Matt's front window. Meanwhile, he laughed and taunted.
"Come, come, sister! You took away something of mine! It's only fair I get even!"
I then heard Rebekah scream terrified.
"Go away, Kol!"
Kol then laughed again and called out.
"Suit yourself, sister! Just remember you have to come out some time! I have ALL ETERNITY to wait until you come out and I send you to The Other Side! Now, that I think of it! I think I'd rather let you watch me kill your little bus boy first! THEN I'll kill you! How does that sound, sister? Fair enough?"
I then heard Rebekah scream.
"I said I was sorry Kol! I didn't think she would leave!"
I then watched as Kol growled furiously towards her voice and replied angrily.
"You sent her away! Your idiotic actions made my Dia leave me! YOU took her away from me!"
Kol thought I had left him? I never left him. I was with Rubi all day. I would never leave him without saying goodbye. I pondered on it a little more, until it dawned on me that Kol thought I had left because Rebekah hit me. So, now he was trying to kill her and Matt as revenge. That was so ... sweet, but not, at the same time.
I had no time to ponder on it some more because it was then that I saw Kol light up some sort of rag with a lighter. At that, I quickly ran towards him and hugged his back. I clung to him tightly and said in between tears.
"KOL! IT'S ME! PLEASE STOP! I DIDN'T LEAVE YOU! I'M RIGHT HERE! PLEASE STOP!"
I felt his back stiffen at my embrace and him drop the rag on the ground. I quickly moved around him and stomped out the fire. I then looked up at him and realized he looked nothing like the Kol I knew. His hair was a complete mess and he had blood all over his clothing. The thing that terrified me the most were his eyes. There were black veins around his eyes and his entire actual eyes were completely black. His fangs were out and he looked some deranged psycho killer who had watched to many horror movies and was trying to prove he was better. I crushed down my fear then wrapped my arms around him and whispered.
"I'm here. I never left you. Please stop and let's go home."
We remained in that position for several seconds, but I noticed he didn't return my hug. I then felt him slowly pull me away from him and simply stare at me. I gently wiped away my tears and was about to try talking to him until he said.
"Does Nik honestly think this will work on me? Does he think having a witch make herself look like her will make me stop?"
What? What witch? Look like who? It was then that I felt Kol's hand wrap around my throat and tug me closer to his face. He glared at me and snarled.
"Take away whatever spell you're using to look like her, so I can kill you. You're not her. You're not my Dia."
Oh dear Lord. My absense had driven Kol off the deep end. He was crazy. He didn't think I was me! I could feel tears began to fall down my face and Kol shook me snarling.
"Your tears me nothing to me! How DARE you pretend to be her! I'm going to kill you and I'm going to enjoy every single minute of it."
I then began crying some more then pulled up Chucky and choked out.
"Look! ... It's ... It's Chucky! It's ... It's ... me!"
His hold on my throat seemed to tighten as he snarled.
"Lies!"
How could I make him believe me! I was beginning to lose oxygen! I then lowered Chucky down and dropped him on the ground. It was then that one last idea popped up. I gasped then said.
"Necklace!"
I then saw Kol pause and look down at my chest. I then felt his hand around me loosen and saw him grab my necklace with the other. He frowned at it then asked me with a glare.
"Where did you get this?"
I lightly pulled on his hand and he slowly released me. I coughed for several seconds then gasped.
"You gave it to me."
Kol then looked up at me with that same crazed look in his eye then said.
"I'm going to humor you. I'm going to test you and if you fail, you die."
I then saw him slightly loose his crazy look and say.
"And if you really are my precious, jewel, there is not enough time or gifts in this world that will ever express how sorry I am for hurting you. I will beg for your forgiveness for the rest of forever until you can forgive me, and until I can forgive me."
I nodded then said.
"Ok, ask me anything."
Kol simply smirked then shook his finger at me and said.
"Who said I was going to ASK you anything? I'm going to do just one simple test."
"Ok, what is the test?"
Kol merely smirked then said.
"I promised my Dia that I wouldn't kiss any other women if she agreed to be mine."
I nodded then finished.
"You also promised no sex with other women too."
Kol looked at me with a raised eyebrow then said.
"That's correct, but what I meant to say is that if you are indeed an imposter there is no way you could imitate her taste. So ... "
He quickly wrapped his arm around my waist then tugged me forward and said.
"I am going to kiss you and see if you are really my Dia."
He then glared at me and said seriously.
"If you are indeed an imposter and you make me break my promise to my darling, I am going to hurt you. I am going to torture you until you're on the brink of death then I'm going to feed you my blood and heal you just so I can continue torturing you indefinitely. I will repeat the same cycle until you bore me and I simply rip out your insides and watch you slowly bleed out to death."
I was so afraid of Kol at the moment that I felt like falling on the ground and crying. Although, I held it in and said seriously.
"I swear to you I am me, Kol. I'm your Dia."
Kol merely narrowed his eyes and replied.
"We'll see."
He then placed one hand behind my neck while the other was on my waist and proceeded to softly kiss me. I immediately did what I normally did when Kol kissed me and buried my hands in his already messed up hair and kissed him back. I slowly moved my lips against his for several seconds until I had to pull back to breathe. It was then that I felt Kol place his head on my shoulder and squeeze me tightly against him. I gave a sigh of relief as I heard him say.
"You're really here, darling. It's you. You came back to me."
I gave a nervous laugh then said.
"I actually never left, Kol. I ... "
It was then that I felt Kol gently begin to bite the left side of my throat. It wasn't like one big bite. It was several small little scrapes all over my throat. It tickled, so I giggled and said.
"That tickles, Kol. Stop."
He laughed against my throat then gave me one particular strong bite and moaned.
"Not happening, darling."
He continued scrapping his teeth all over my throat with very few complaints on my part. It was several minutes later that I felt Kol only pull very slightly away then bite down on his wrist and offer it to me. I carefully placed my mouth on it and began to drink down his blood. I instantly felt my throat become less swollen and my body begin to relax a lot more. I began to feel slightly tired and Kol was quick to pick me up bridal style. He rubbed his face against mine and I gave him a small kiss on the cheek.
He then carefully picked up Chucky from the floor and handed him over to me. I held Chucky to my chest as Kol walked us over to Elijah's car. I thought for sure Kol would place me in the passenger seat, but to my surprise he walked to the driver's side while still holding me and got inside the car. He quickly pulled the seat back to give us more room, and turned on the car. He then placed one hand on the wheel while the other held me to him and began to drive down the road. Every once and a while he would tickle my side or steal a quick kiss, but I made sure he paid attention to road. How he could drive while having me sit on his lap? I have no idea. My best theory was that well ... he was Kol. Nothing more to it.
We arrived quickly back at the mansion and Kol was very careful as he got us out of the car. I gave him a small smile then said.
"You can place me down now, Kol."
Kol groaned then murmured against my hair.
"I refuse to let you out of my sight."
I smiled then gently carressed his cheek and said.
"I'll be right by your side, Kol. Just let me walk."
Kol really looked like he wanted to give me a flat out, "No," but he restrained himself and slowly placed me down. I then gently interlocked our fingers and said seriously.
"You and I are going to have a long talk about your impulsive attitude, mister. What you did today was not cool."
I saw Kol simply roll his eyes at me and I elbowed him while saying.
"Don't roll your eyes at me. I'm not playing around, Kol. What you did today was completely immature and reckless."
I then tugged him forward to the door and opened it up to go inside. Once we stepped inside, I heard an enraged roar of.
"KOL!"
I then saw Klaus lift up a white oak ash dagger and run towards us. I quickly moved infront of Kol and spread my hands across him. Klaus stopped right infront of me and snarled.
"Move out of the way!"
I glared back and yelled.
"NO! I WON'T LET YOU TAKE HIM AWAY FROM ME!"
I felt Kol begin to tug me back and try to place me behind him, but I stayed in place and yelled at Klaus.
"I DIDN'T SAVE HIM JUST SO YOU COULD DAGGER HIM AGAIN! LEAVE HIM ALONE!"
Klaus glared at me then said hatefully.
"I could easily rip you away from him and place him back in that coffin in which he rotted for a century. You are nothing, but a mere human. You can't stop me."
It wasn't then that something in me snapped. Maybe everything I'd been through here had caught up to me. Or maybe it was Klaus' confident and arrogant attitude. I wasn't really sure.
I slowly lowered my hands and said.
"You're right. I am human. Where you're wrong is when you say I'm JUST a mere human."
I then took a step closer to him and snarled angrily.
"Let me tell you a little story about this human. You asked why I was undergoing therapy back home. Well, here's your answer. My mom's boyfriend struck her and my little sister one night. So, you know what I did? I stabbed him with a kitchen knife then covered him with gasoline. I was so close to setting him on fire when the police barged in and stopped me. I was placed in an At Risk Teens compound for one month straight. After that, every single week since I've had to go see a therapist to make sure my 'psychopathic tendencies' don't surface. Now, what makes you think I won't do the same to Caroline if you hurt Kol? I'm not playing no bloody games, Klaus. Stay away from Kol or I swear that I'll kill her. I'm not JUST some human. I'm a human with major issues who won't hesitate to protect the people I care about."
Klaus looked deadly pissed off as his eyes changed from their normal blue to a profound gold. I stood my ground until Elijah came in between and pulled Klaus away. Klaus glared at me and snarled.
"How DARE you come in here and threaten me!"
Elijah was infront of Klaus now pulling him away from us. I simply glared at Klaus and snapped.
"I'm not threatening you! I'm telling you what WILL happen if you hurt Kol!"
Klaus then growled and said.
"Move out of the way, Elijah!"
Elijah only seemed to hold on tighter and pull him towards one of the rooms. I then felt strong warm hands wrap around me from behind. I quickly looked back and realized Kol seemed beyond happy. As soon as he saw me looking at him, he pulled me into a strong, and steamy kiss. I kissed him back and quickly wrapped my arms around him. After several seconds, I pulled back and Kol instantly started laughing against my throat. I hugged him then asked.
"What's so funny?"
Kol then looked up at me and said with a smirk.
"You are, darling. I was waiting to see when I would need to step in, but you held your own against Nik. That was impressive. Not many people can say they've yelled at Nik like that and lived. Well, actually I don't think anybody can say that."
I merely shook my head and said seriously.
"You can't honestly expect me to just stand back and let him dagger you after all the trouble I went through to save you. Besides, we're together now and I am not going to let some insulted hybrid take away my first boyfriend."
Kol merely chuckled then kissed my forehead and asked.
"So, the whole stabbing and fire thing was true?"
I nodded then replied.
"Yes, it's true. That's the reason I go to therapy. I'm a bit messed up in the head."
Kol kissed me on my forehead then said.
"Not at all, darling. You are perfectly normal in my book."
So, that meant I was totally nuts. Nice to know. It was then that Kol quickly picked me up bridal-style and flashed up the stairs. He sped down the hallway and took us to my room. He quickly slammed and locked the door behind us and placed me gently on the bed. I sat by the edge and watched curiously as Kol knelt infront of me and took my hands in his. He kissed my knuckles gently then looked up at me seriously. I noticed how his eyes were now their normal dark brown color and seemed to be filled with some deep emotion. He kissed my knuckles and wrists a bit more then murmured.
"I am not sure on how to say this, darling. It's all very strange and new for me. I am used to hurting others and not regretting it. Although, after seeing you stand up to Nik for me, I feel like I must say something ... anything to you. So, I'm going to say it before I don't feel this pull to say it. I ... I'm ... I gave you my word that would never hurt you and I failed you. I placed my hands on you and for that I ... I wish I could take it back. You have to know that I would never intentionally hurt you, darling. You are mine. You are my Dia, and I would never harm you on purpose. I was just so blinded by rage that I couldn't think straight. I know it doesn't make it any better, but I swear to you that I will make it up to you for the rest of forever. I will grant you any gift you want. I will kill whoever you want me to kill. I will give you the world if that is what you desire. Just ... just stay. Don't ever leave my side."
I felt my heart shatter at Kol's almost pained look. He looked like he was warring with himself. It appeared as if he wasn't sure if he should feel sad, or if he should snap again and go on a murderous rampage. I then decided to settle his inner war and gently released one of my hands. I felt instantly tighten his hold on my other one and I smiled. I then gently carressed his cheek and said sincerely.
"I will admit you caught me off guard with your accusations, but I understand. You're you, and I would never ask you to change. The fact that you were man enough and mature enough to admit you made a mistake is a good apology to me. You also fed me your blood afterwards, so I'm grateful for that. I just want you to know that I didn't leave you. I would never leave you without at least saying goodbye. I ... "
Kol then surprised me by lifting me up and laying me down on the bed. He quickly laid down on top of me with his head on my chest and his arms wrapped tightly around my waist. I was so thrown off by his quick movement that I instinctly wrapped my arms around him. I gently carressed his back and hair while Kol only pressed me further into the bed. I then heard him huff and say seriously.
"I WILL find a way to keep you here with me, darling. I will NOT let Qetsiyah take you away from me. If that does happen, I'm afraid that what happened today will be nothing compared to what I will do if you leave permanently. This joke of a town will be the first to burn and every single town that I come across with after that. I swear to you that I will not stop and I will not rest until you are back in my arms."
I then began to massage his tense shoulders and said calmly.
"We'll be ok. Let's not think about that, alright? Let's just enjoy what we have now. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Just relax."
It made my heart flutter at just how serious Kol was about me. He wasn't playing any games. If I left, Kol would go on a cross-country killing spree until Qetsiyah or some other witch brought me back. I was it for him and he was it for me. I knew that if or rather when I was sent back home I would be devastated. I would more than likely cry and I would never forget Kol. He would always be in my heart no matter how old I became. Just the thought of me leaving made several small tears fall. I gently wiped them away and instantly felt Kol look up at me and question.
"Why are you crying, darling?"
I merely gave him a small smile and lied.
"I'm just happy to be here with you."
Kol smiled back at me and said.
"As am I, darling."
He then laid his head back down on my chest and relaxed once again. It was then that I realized must have been emotionally and maybe even physically exhausted. So, I began to gently rub his back and began to softly sing, "It's You," by Super Junior. I sang gently.
"geu nuga nuga mworaedo naneun sanggwan eopdago
