A/N: I just have two replys for some reviewers of mine.

*dhh: After carefully reading each of your reviews, I came to realize you made some very valid points. So, I decided to address a couple of your reasonable issues in this chapter. I would also like you to keep in mind that this story IS a Kol/OC story. Therefore, there WILL be chapters dedicated to them and the development of their relationship. The story IS called Possessive. It's not called Saving TVD or something weird like that.

*Aradis: First, sorry I didn't reply in Ch. 9, and it was the people who reviewed that made me realize my mistake. I worked on and posted Ch. 8 at three in the morning, so that's why I slipped up. It just got on my nerves how people kept constantly saying, "You got it wrong! You got it wrong!" That I just made Diamond give them my own personal response. I'm glad you liked it though. Also, yes, Diamond will make sure Elena is taken care of. Please keep reading and enjoying my story! ^_^

Disclaimer: I own nothing just my character and plot line.

Being Me

I quickly turned to glare at Kol and snapped.

"Kol Mikaelson, get over here now!"

Kol calmly came towards me with a smile on his face and said.

"Would it infuriate you even more if I said, "I can explain?"

I narrowed my eyes at him and stated with gritted teeth.

"As a matter of fact, it would, Kol."

Kol then smiled at me innocently and said.

"Oh, well then I can explain, darling."

I crossed my arms over my chest and began to tap my foot impatiently on the floor. Kol then came towards me and said with a fake pout.

"Don't be mad, darling. In my defense, I don't like cleaning, I'm not good at it, AND it was all Nik's idea."

I raised my eyebrows at him and questioned in disbelief.

"That's your defense?"

Kol then innocently tilted his head and replied.

"I didn't say it was a good defense, Dia."

I huffed then uncrossed my arms and pinched the bridge of my nose. I looked down then questioned seriously.

"Kol, be completely honest with me. You're not gonna properly clean this up. Are you?"

I saw him shift slightly then reply carefully.

"No. No, I'm not. It wasn't even my ... "

I tuned him out as he began explaining to me why he wasn't going to clean it up. I then placed my hand down and looked over at all the mess. Yeah, this would take a while. Kol was still talking until I interrupted him and said.

"Kol, just go upstairs and shower or something. I'm going to clean this up."

Kol then began to protest about how I shouldn't clean up after Klaus and I once again ignored him. I simply took hold of the broom again and began sweeping up all the glass.

Seriously, what a bunch of guys. They couldn't even properly clean up after themselves. Kol simply stood there watching me sweep without saying anything. Therefore, I kept on sweeping and simply said.

"After I'm done here, I'm going to shower and go out to get my camping gear for when I go to The Island. If you are not showered and presentable by the time I'm done, you are not going."

Kol was instantly in my face snarling.

"I am not leaving you down here by yourself. I will not risk losing you again."

I simply backed away slightly and replied.

"Kol, I'm just going to be down here cleaning. Where else am I supposed to go?"

Kol shook his head and said stubbornly.

"Come with me."

I lurched back and snapped.

"Absolutely not."

He frowned then said.

"Well then I'm not going to get ready."

I instantly replied back smartly.

"Well then you're not coming with me."

Kol growled at me, and I simply rolled my eyes at him. He stood there stubbornly for several seconds and I remained in my same stance as well. He was completely tripping if he thought I was going to back down to him again. Kol huffed then snapped.

"I will shower in one of the rooms here downstairs. If you so much as put one foot outside, this house along with every other one in town is going up in flames."

Did he always have to resort to fire and threats?

( '-_- )

Well that was a dumb question. I merely sighed then replied.

"Fine, now go get ready. I have to clean."

Kol then nodded and threatened seriously.

"I mean it, Dia."

I actually laughed at that and replied.

"Trust me, I believe you."

Kol nodded seriously and quickly flashed away. I then turned back around and continued on sweeping and cleaning. I found some trashbags, gloves, and dustpan then carefully started stuffing the bags with as much trash as I could. Kol had actually come down to shower, but found the baths downstairs to be 'beneath' him. Whatever that meant. So, with another warning to me he went upstairs to shower.

I had been cleaning all the mess for about an hour straight when I heard the doorbell ring. Huh, who would actually be dumb enough to come knocking at a house filled with the most deadly vampires in the world? This person had guts. I carefully placed the broom against the wall and went to answer the door. Before I opened it, I cautiously asked.

"Who is it?"

I heard a deep accented voice reply.

"I am looking for Diamond."

I frowned in confusion at the stranger's reply. I didn't know anyone that talked like that. As a matter of fact, I didn't know that many people here period. So, I cautiously asked again.

"Who's looking for her?"

The only response I received was.

"Why don't you come outside and find out?"

I glared at his little haughty attitude and replied.

"Why don't I send Kol or Klaus out instead?"

"Are those monsters supposed to make me feel frightened?"

What a douchebag. In my annoyance and slight anger, I slammed the door open and was about to yell at the douche when I realized who he was. I took a quick step back and said.

"You're Galen. Galen Vaughn, the Hunter."

He smirked at me and said.

"Nice to see I wasn't misinformed."

He then looked me up and down and said unimpressed.

"So, you're THE Diamond I was told about. I don't see how you could be of any use. You're just another teenager."

I narrowed my eyes at him and replied.

"And you must be THE Galen Vaughn. You looked way better on t-t-t-two of the visions I had of you."

He then tilted his head to the side and replied smartly.

"You don't have to lie to me. I know everything about you. I know you're not a witch, mind-reader, or whatever it is you're pretending to be. Apparently, you've been playing house for a bit too long and I was asked, or more like ordered, to get you moving. We leave tomorrow at four in the morning."

He then pulled out two tickets and handed them over to me. I was very careful in taking them from him and quickly looked them over. They were two first class tickets from Virginia to Nova Scotia. I blinked up at him and said.

"Wha .. "

He interrupted me and replied casually.

"It's one for you and the other for the witch we need. I know she's in town. Call her, or do whatever you have to do, and be ready to leave tomorrow by four. We have a long drive and a plane to catch. Don't be late."

With that, he turned his back on me and began to walk away. Hold on just one minute! We couldn't just go to the island! We still needed him or Jeremy to complete their Hunter's Mark! I also had to go and buy the things I would need! Therefore, I stepped outside to follow him and instantly heard an enraged roar of, "DIA!"

Shoot!

The door then instantly slammed open and there stood Kol. Double shoot! Galen instantly turned around and shot a stake at Kol with some gadget. I ducked and Kol quickly caught it in his hand. Kol then glared at him and snarled.

"You're dead."

I quickly stood in between them and yelled.

"Stop it! Stop it!"

Kol tried to move around me, but I blocked his path. I pressed my back firmly against his chest with my arms outstretched. I looked at Galen and realized he was now holding a crossbow aimed directly at us. I shook my head and pleaded with him.

"Please don't!"

Galen kept the crossbrow trained on us and said.

"You need to put a leash on your leech. Any sudden movements and you both die."

I then heard a familiar voice say from above.

"Let's not be too hasty now."

I looked up and saw Klaus jump down from the balcony. I also noticed Rebekah come from one side of the house while Elijah came up from behind Kol. This wasn't good. As a matter of fact, this was very bad. All three Originals came to stand beside us, but Galen stood his ground. This was one tough Hunter. I gulped then said nervously.

"Please, everyone stop!"

Galen merely moved his crossbrow around and pointed it at each Original. I looked at him pleadingly then said.

"I'm really sorry about this. I was just trying to tell you that even though I know the location of the Island we still need you to ... "

He rolled his eyes at me then cautiously pulled up one of his sleeves to show me his Hunter's Mark. Wait a minute. I could see it! Then that meant ... He did it! How though? I stared at him in wonder and he quickly pulled the sleeve down to aim once again at us. I slowly moved forward towards him, but felt Kol instantly pull me back. I pouted then looked at Galen and asked.

"How?"

He smiled and replied mockingly.

"It's quite a bit strange really. Usually, I was the one having to hunt down all of those disgusting beasts, but this past week they all seemed to be hunting me. All for the best, if you ask me. I've killed more vampires these past several weeks than I have just last year."

I nodded then added in.

"Do you think Qetsiyah might have had something to do with that?"

At that, he chuckled and replied.

"She's actually the one who told me to come get you. The witch's pretty impatient to have Silas dead."

At this, I felt Kol tense and the Originals slightly move forward. It was actually Rebekah who said.

"You must have damaged your brain pretty badly if you think we're simply going to let you take her."

Galen merely raised his eyebrows at her then said.

"Very well then, keep her. The more time she wastes playing around with you monsters the more chances someone else has to raise Silas. I was sent here on direct orders to get her and the witch, so we could get rid of Silas."

He then looked directly at me and said almost scoldingly.

"But if playing house is of much more importance to you than just give me the witch and I'll leave."

I quickly shook my head and said panicked.

"No! That's my job. Qetsiyah sent me here to do the right thing. You are right and I'm sorry. I've just been so distracted that I lost track of what I was really sent here to do. I'll be ready by four a.m. sharp, and I'll call Bonnie immediately."

Galen simply smirked at me then said.

"It's good to see you finally realize what your actual job here is. I'll meet the both of you at the town square. Don't keep me waiting."

With that, he slowly began to back away from us then got inside a black car. He quickly drove away and we all remained standing by the door. I gently pried Kol's hands from around me and walked back inside. I quickly pulled out my phone and dialed Bonnie's number. It rang three times before she answered.

"Hello, who's this?"

I paced quickly infront of the fireplace and said.

"Bonnie, it's me Diamond. One of the Hunters did it. Their mark is complete and Qetsiyah sent him to come get us."

I heard a thump then Bonnie scream.

"What! Where is he? What did Qetsiyah say?"

I stopped my pacing and replied.

"He's gone and he didn't say much about her only that she sent him to us. Bonnie you need to pull out your camping gear and some warm clothes. We leave tomorrow at four in morning."

I instantly heard quick movement and Bonnie responded frantically.

"WHAT! That's too soon!"

I began pacing once again and said.

"I know Bonnie, but I already have the tickets. We can't keep stalling. Silas needs to be taken care of as soon as possible. Qetsiyah doesn't seem happy that we are taking so long. We are supposed to meet him in the town square at four, so don't be late."

I heard Bonnie huff then say.

"Diamond, and how do we know we can trust ... "

I looked down at the floor and said.

"Trust ME, Bonnie. He's one of The Five. I KNOW he is."

I could hear some shuffling then Bonnie continued.

"What about Jeremy and the others? I can't just ... "

I pinched the bridge of my nose and said seriously.

"Bonnie, right now there is no time for sentimentality or junk like that. Stopping the most lethal monster from rising and unleashing hell on earth is much more important than some people's feelings being hurt. We HAVE to do this. We've been stalling long enough. Even I seemed to have forgotten that stopping Silas was the reason I came here."

Bonnie remained silent, so I huffed and said.

"Bonnie, please just be there at four. I've gotta go."

I heard Bonnie sigh in resignation then say.

"Ok, I'll be ready."

I then hung up the phone and turned around to see that all The Originals were now inside staring at me. I looked over at Kol and quickly noticed the infuriated look on his face. I blinked then smiled at him and said sadly.

"I'm sorry, Kol, but it's true. I wasn't sent here to be with you."

I saw his fists clench tightly in anger and him look directly at me in rage. I continued then said.

"I was sent here to get rid of Silas. THAT is why I'm here. I need to do this."

I then looked over at Rebekah and gave her a small smile. I wasn't mad at her for hitting me. She was Rebekah. I would have been surprised if she hadn't hit me. Rebekah seemed surprised by my attitude, but smiled back and said.

"You want me to take you shopping for what you will need?"

My smile grew and I replied sincerely.

"Thank you, Rebekah. I would love to go with you."

She then nodded and said.

"Let's go. We need to leave now."

I nodded in response then put my phone in my back pocket and took off my cleaning gloves. I saw Rebekah then flash upstairs and be back in instant. She then handed me a new shirt and simply said.

"You have blood on your shirt."

I gave her a grateful smile and was about to walk into the study to go change when I heard Kol say softly.

"I'll kill everyone."

Elijah instantly said warningly.

"Kol."

Kol shook his head then started laughing psychotically. I saw Klaus quietly move infront of the door almost blocking it.

No, please no. Kol couldn't do this. He couldn't start with this. I looked over at Elijah for help and saw Elijah watching Kol intently. I then noticed Rebekah slightly move infront of me. Kol then slowly stopped laughing and said in between chuckles.

"Ah, I mean it, Dia. If you leave me, everyone dies."

He then tilted his head at me and asked mockingly.

"What type of person does that make you, Dia? Willing to let an entire town die, and many more after that. Do you have no remorse? No heart? So much innocent blood, and it will ALL be on YOUR hands, darling. Why would you let something like that happen?"

I gulped and could feel myself slightly shaking. THIS was Kol Mikaelson. The manipulative and destructive Original with no value for human life. The most feared of all of the Originals for his temper and destructive nature. I looked directly at him and replied carefully.

"Kol, you knew THAT was the reason I was sent here. I HAVE to take care of Silas. Silas is the reason Qetsiyah brought me here. If Silas rises ... I don't need to explain this to you, Kol. You KNOW how dangerous it would be for Silas to rise. You KNOW that he would hunt each of you down until you're all dead. You and your family have all been so kind to me, and I won't allow Silas to hurt any of you."

Kol then smirked and said.

"I never said that I don't want you to stop Silas. If you recall correctly, I told you earlier that I would never let you go. All I want is to go with you to The Island, darling. Besides, I am not particularly fond of you going off with some other man on your own."

I could slightly see the point he was trying to make, but Kol's presence wasn't exactly necessary. All that was required was a witch, a Hunter, and human blood. Besides, I had to make sure Bonnie didn't fall for the whole dead Sheila deal. I rubbed the back of my head and replied lamely.

"Um, I only have two tickets. One for me and one for Bonnie."

Kol confidently replied.

"Easy, compulsion. Besides, do you honestly think all of the witch's little friends are going to let her go alone? You need me there to protect you."

He had a point just as easily as Kol could compel his way on the plane, so could several members of the Scooby Gang. I also knew that Bonnie was a very assertive woman and if she told them to screw off they would listen. So, I tried again.

"Galen is a Hunter. He's designed and trained to kill you, Kol. I don't want him to hurt you."

"I'll keep my distance."

There was no winning with him. Not only that, but I knew one way or another he would follow me. That was just the type of vamp he was. I groaned in resignation and said.

"Fine, but you're finding your own way to follow us, and no starting anything with the Hunter."

Rebekah was instanty shoved aside as Kol came towards me and hugged me tight. I sighed then gently caressed his cheek and said.

"Ok then. I suppose you'll have to come shopping with us as well. Let me go change my shirt and we'll all head out."

Kol reluctantly released me and I quickly made my way to the study. I switched out my shirt hastily then came out and said.

"Ok, I'm ready. So, we're all agreed that Kol is the only one coming with me to The Island, right?"

Rebekah instantly stood up from the couch and said.

"Actually I was hoping I could ... "

"Absolutely not."

It was Klaus who instantly denied her. Rebekah glared at him and snapped.

"Why the bloody hell not? Besides, I wasn't ... "

Klaus merely took a drink out his glass and replied bluntly.

"You're a liability. You can't be trusted to not attack them and take The Cure for yourself."

Rebekah snarled at him and was about to reply when he said casually.

"You can either stay here quietly, Bekah. Or, I will dagger you until they return. The choice is yours."

I grimaced then said calmly.

"To be completely honest, Rebekah, the less people who go the better. I know I can trust Kol and Galen to not mess up, but in the show you were very determined to get your hands on The Cure. Klaus wanted to destroy it because he was afraid The Scooby Gang would use it against him. Elijah, ... "

I then looked directly at Elijah and said sadly.

"Elijah, you are such a great guy and ... and you don't deserve someone like Katherine."

Klaus instantly exclaimed.

"WHAT!"

I ignored him then moved closer to Elijah to stand infront of him. Elijah then looked at me and gave me a sad smile. That look. That look of pure sadness from one of the most loyal and humane vampires in existance did something strange to my heart. I tilted my head to the side and said firmly.

"I am no one to tell you who you should love or who you should trust. But as someone who cares for you and your family I think you NEED to hear someone say this to you. You are a great person Elijah. One of the most loyal, strong, and compassionate vampires I have ever seen."

I smiled gently and said with a small laugh.

"Believe me, I would know. I've watched tons of vampire shows and movies. So, I know what I'm talking about. There hasn't ever been a vampire that can compare to you. You have feelings and a very strict moral code. Yet, you are not weak. You can become a very vicious and dangerous being when threatened. One of my friends that used to watch the show with me once said, "Out of all of the Originals I think Elijah is the scariest." At that time, it was just you, Klaus, and Rebekah that had been introduced to us. I remember questioning her why she thought that, since in my book Klaus seemed a whole lot more scarier. She told me very wisely, "Since, he's always so calm and kind. When he gets mad, it's pretty bad. Not only that, but he doesn't just lash out. He's smart and cunning. He's like a diabolical genius." When I actually stopped to think about it, I realized she was right. That's why I've constantly told Kol and everyone else that I respect you very much."

Elijah merely stood stock still staring at me in wonder. I lightly shifted my feet then continued.

"Like I already said, "You're great, Elijah." You don't deserve someone like Katherine. You deserve someone who will always be loyal to you and not screw you around to save their own skin. I mean, come on, look at you!"

I then looked back at Kol and said.

"You know you're my favorite, Kol."

I turned back to Elijah and continued seriously.

"Have you actually stood in a mirror and seen yourself, Elijah? You're hot! Like, seriously, you would not believe how much Fanfiction and YouTube videos have been dedicated to you. Lots and LOTS of women would love to be with a guy like you. You're like the perfect fairytale prince with fangs!"

Elijah seemed deeply amused by my bluntly stated compliments. He had his head tilted slightly and was looking at me with interest. I merely took a small step back then placed my hands on my hips and said bluntly.

"So, I'm gonna be blunt and just say that you shouldn't degrade yourself to be with someone like Katherine. First, she loves Klaus then she loves you. Fast forward a couple of centuries later, and she loves Stefan and Damon. I mean, come on! I'm not a hater or anything, but I really don't see the appeal. All of the Petrovas are bland. Honestly, look at me! I'm primarily Hispanic and I don't even look like it! I have a small button nose, full cheeks, and a small mouth. I have weirdly, milky-white skin with green eyes. I do have standard dark brown hair, but I wear it naturally with pride. The main difference between me and the Petrovas is that I actually stop to listen to people and don't try to be the hero in a battle I KNOW I will lose. Like, seriously, this isn't freaking Twilight, and playing around with two guys' feelings isn't funny. It's trashy, low, and completely disgusting."

And with that I crossed my arms over my chest and gave an enraged huff. I could clearly hear Rebekah clapping and cheering with Klaus and Kol laughing in the background. Elijah now had a full blown smile on his face and asked teasingly.

"Are you quite through?"

I released a deep breath then added.

"All of the Petrova Dopplegangers suck. There. Now, I'm done."

Elijah actually gave me a sincere, amused smile and said.

"You are definitely a very interesting character. Therefore, just how you seem to respect me. I respect you as well, Diamond. I am also very thankful to you for everything you have done for my family and myself. Rest assured that I will take everything you have said to me into consideration. You are very wise for a young human."

I blushed then rubbed the back of my head and replied lamely.

"Yeah, well ... I'm just cool like that I guess."

Elijah then chuckled and finished.

"Yet, you still have a childish sense of humor and heart. Something else I also respect about you."

He then gave me a pat on the head and said to Rebekah.

"Sister, I believe you told Diamond that you would handle Katerina, so she would not interfere. I could lure Katerina here and you two could do some overdue female bonding."

I turned to look over at Rebekah and she said a sadistic smile on her face as she replied.

"Please do, Elijah. You have no idea how much I have been wishing to have some bonding time with your dear Katerina."

I saw Klaus merely glower at them then say bluntly.

"I do not wish to see her face, because I may just rip it off."

Harsh, but hey she earned it. You don't just piss off Klaus Mikaelson and get away with it. He gets you back one way or another. Been there. Done that. Totally regretted it. I merely shook my head at them and looked over at Kol. He seemed to be very interested in the fireplace for some reason. I sighed then went over to him and hugged him from behind. I buried my face in his back then murmured.

"You know you're my favorite, Kol. I was just trying to help your brother."

Kol then pulled my arms away and turned around to hug me properly. He kissed my forehead and said seriously.

"I don't like it when you compliment other men, or smile at them. You should only do that to me."

I blinked then replied seriously.

"He's your brother, Kol. How can I talk smack about the Petrovas then turn around and do the same thing? I mean, there's no logic in that. That would make me a HUGE hypocrite. To me, there's only and will only ever be you. Also, you don't want me to smile at other men? What does that even mean? That's a bit ... "

Kol looked directly at me and replied seriously.

"It's exactly what it means. I don't like it when you smile at other men. I want you to only smile at me. I want you to only think of me. I want your entire life, being, and soul to be surrounded by just me. Is it selfish? Yes. Do I care? No."

What could I reply to a declaration like that? What would anyone reply to a declaration like that? I stayed silent then slowly wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him close to me.

Kol was lonely. There was no other explanation to the way he was acting. He wasn't a part of the 'Always and Forever'. Kol was always the lone wolf of his family. That was probably one of the reasons he was such a womanizer. He had their company for a while, but in the end he would always be alone. Everyone and everything would eventually leave him when they realized how he truly was. No one ever accepted him for who he was. They judged him and condemned him not knowing or understanding his reasons.

As I looked up at his beautiful chocolate brown eyes, I felt my own eyes slightly water. Kol stared at me confused, but I merely shook my head and gave him a gentle kiss on the lips. I then slowly released him and said.

"We need to go. It's getting late."

Kol nodded then said to Rebekah.

"Sister, time to go."

Rebekah turned to glare at him and snapped.

"I still haven't forgotten that you threatened to kill me and Matt, Kol. You're lucky I don't run you over with my car instead of letting you ride in it."

Kol rolled his eyes at her and replied sarcastically.

"You ride lots of different males continuously, sister, and I don't say anything. So, I would say we are even."

I sighed then saw Rebekah lean down toward her feet and I instantly yelled.

"Hit the deck!"

I threw myself to the left and Kol launched himself to the right just as Rebekah threw her shoe at us. Unfortunately for her, the shoe landed right in the fireplace. I looked up from the floor and saw Rebekah screech in outrage. She began yelling at Kol in a different language then flashed upstairs.

I carefully stood up and questioned seriously.

"Did she just call you a dirty sock, Kol?"

Kol merely smirked at me and replied amused.

"No. Though, that may be what it sounded like. She actually called me a ... "

I then heard Elijah say sternly.

"Kol."

Kol laughed then replied.

"What? It would greatly benefit my darling to learn another language, Elijah."

Elijah narrowed his eyes at him and replied.

"Not that type of language, Kol."

Kol simply smirked at him then came towards me and wrapped his arms around me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and whispered.

"What did she say?"

Kol chuckled then leaned down towards my ear. I thought he was going to whisper the answer to me, but to my surprise he lunged towards my throat. I involuntarily gave a loud moan as he began to kiss and suck on the left side of my throat. My hands fell to his arms and I slowly tilted my head back to give him more access. It just felt so good. I closed my eyes and simply let myself feel his soft and gentle lips carressing my skin. I then gently moved my hands up and wrapped my arms around his neck in an attempt to keep him right where he was.

I was brought out of my pleasuring feelings when I heard someone give a small cough. I peeked one eye open and realized Elijah was looking at us with a serious look on his face and Klaus just seemed amused. I then closed my eye and murmured.

"Kol, no more."

He growled at me then used his teeth to bite me along my shoulder blade. I blinked several times and said.

"Mmmmm, Kol. Ah! Please."

Kol then moved his lips gently along my shoulder blade then up my throat until he was right by my ear and whispered.

"If you keep making those noises, I am going to rip off your clothes and take you right now against the wall."

I shivered then replied.

"Kol, I ... "

I then felt myself being pulled backwards by my shirt and dragged away from Kol. I struggled to loosen my shirt then heard Rebekah say.

"Honestly, I can't bloody leave you two alone for two minutes before you're trying to rip each other's clothes off. Let's go."

She then released my shirt and I quickly turned toward her. She narrowed her eyes at me and raised her chin up almost as if daring me to challenge her. I bit my lip then looked down and replied.

"In my defense; Kol started it, he's too handsome for his own good, and I'm a weak human sucker for his lips. Sooooo ... "

Rebekah rolled her eyes then asked.

"That's your defense?"

I looked up at her then gave her a small smile and replied.

"I didn't say it was a good defense, Rebekah."

At that, I felt Kol come up behind me and start laughing in my hair. I looked up at him and said.

"I hang around you way too much. You're a bad influence."

Kol then gave me an adorable fake pout and I quickly added.

"But you're my bad influence."

Kol smirked at me and replied.

"Don't worry, darling. There is still much for you to learn."

I then heard Rebekah scoff and say.

"You two are insane. I don't see how you can stand each other. One is a deranged, psychopathic, killer. While the other is a weirdo, who plays with dolls, and genuinely likes said psychopath."

I thought about her description of us and simply replied.

"It could be worse. We could be Edward and Bella."

Rebekah face instantly twisted and she said disgustingly.

"That's not funny."

Kol then looked down at me and asked confused.

"Who are these Edward and Bella? Do they reside here in town?"

Rebekah groaned and I gave a small laugh. I then looked over at her and realized both Elijah and Klaus seemed confused. Wait a minute. Don't tell me they had never ... Dude! Even DAMON knew Twilight . When we came back I was definitely going to make Klaus get a Netflix subscription. This was just unacceptable!

I shook my head sadly then looked up at Rebekah and said.

"Okay, we should go ahead and head out."

Rebekah scoffed at me and replied.

"About time."

Kol, Rebekah, and I said our goodbyes to Klaus and Elijah and quickly headed out to Rebekah's car.

As Rebekah was driving towards the next town over, we decided to divide up our shopping. Rebekah took our warm clothing and shoes, while Kol and I went to get the camping gear. Once we arrived at the mall, we all agreed to meet by the front doors in two hours. Which, Rebekah claimed would be more than enough time.

Kol made it perfectly clear that we were together by walking behind me with his arms wrapped around my waist during the entire time. To say it was difficult to walk and shop would be an understatement.

Honestly speaking, the majority of the time shopping with Kol was very amusing due to his reactions to all of the new technology and merchandise. I wanted nothing more than to cuddle him and kiss his cheeks when he had been suspicious of the cash register. He had been so adorable glaring at it and standing protectively infront of me.

Everything was fine until I made the mistake of trying to reach for something that was too high for me and a nice, slightly-older guy had helped me. Kol had appeared quite literally out of nowhere and made a huge scene infront of many people and sales associates. I wanted nothing more than hide away in embarrassement as people stared at me as we walked away. I had even left the merchandise that I needed in an attempt to leave as quickly as possible. Not only that, but Kol had the audacity to be angry with ME and scold ME like it was all MY fault. That had led to another scene between us, with me walking away, and Kol threatening to make heads roll and hit the roof very literally. Suffice to say, we made up quite quickly.

After both of our little shows people seemed to whisper as we passed by them. Kol didn't seem to appreciate all of the attention we were getting. Or, in his own words, "I don't like it when other men keep looking at you. I'm going to end this now.", and he did. In a very Kol like manner, he calmly went up to the small decorative garden in the center and set it ablaze. He only made it worse by grabbing a random guy and compelling him to start smashing every single piece of glass in sight. He had then proceeded to grab another random guy running in my direction and thrown him into the fire. Screams instantly rang throughout the entire mall as chaos broke all around. Meanwhile, Kol calmly came back to me and guided me into a Victoria's Secret urging me to model some things for him.

Yeah, not happening, homeboy.

Due to all of Kol's destruction, I decided to make a quick and clean exit. I picked up all of the things we had been able to buy, and made my way to one of the emergency exits. Kol simply carried the rest of the bags in one hand and hugged me with the other as we walked out.

Once we reached the front of the mall, Rebekah instantly began complaining about some idiotic human smashing all the windows of the store she was shopping in. Which led to her being quickly escorted out for her own safety. Kol had simply started laughing and I actually gave a small smile of my own. Rebekah stared at us weirdly then continued on to complain about how some woman had dared to take the shirt she wanted. When I questioned her if she had gotten another one. Rebekah simply smirked and replied.

"No, I got the one I wanted. I 'persuaded' her to give it to me for free."

After that, I decided not to question her on how she got the rest of our clothes and just followed her to her car. Rebekah and Kol bantered like little kids the entire ride home, but I had fortunately had been able to stay out of it. Man, they both knew some very creative and explicit words.

Once home, Kol and I grabbed all of our things and took them upstairs. We prepared our large camping bags and placed everything else we had been able to purchase inside as well. It was roughly around eight o' clock at night, and I decided it was time for bed. I had to get up early tomorrow. I grabbed a pair of pajamas and undergarments and made my way to the shower. I took a quick warm shower, changed, then made my way out of the bathroom. Once I stepped out, I noticed Kol lying very comfortably on my bed without his shirt on.

I blinked at him and tried incredibly hard to not stare at his prefect muscled chest and abs. I blushed deeply at my thoughts and quickly looked away from him. The feelings and thoughts that Kol brought out in me were so strange and foreign to me. On one hand they felt right and pleasant. While, on the other hand, they felt almost sinful and inappropriate. Every time Kol touched me I would feel myself become nervous, yet excited. Everytime his lips touched my skin I would lose myself to his touch. I would lose all sense of direction and time. It was just Kol and me. I could feel myself becoming slightly hot and nervous, so I decided to look at him and say calmly.

"Um, you should go ahead and head to your room, Kol. It's late."

Kol's head instantly snapped up to stare at me and he said bluntly.

"I will not. Now, come lay down, darling. It's late."

I gaped at him then quickly replied.

"Absolutely not, mister. You will either put on your shirt and any other articles of clothing you may have removed. Or, you're going back to your room."

Kol narrowed his eyes at me, but made no move to do as I said. Instead he smirked at me, moved over, and pulled the covers up for me. I shook my head at him and said sternly.

"Kol."

He groaned then replied.

"Fine. My shirt is on your dresser."

I nodded then grabbed his shirt and went over to hand it to him. Kol merely looked up at me with an innocent smile and said.

"Put it on me, Dia."

My face instantly flushed pink and I stuttered.

"W-w-w-what are you ... "

His smile then became a smirk and he slowly sat up letting the covers fall off his chest. I bit my lip and quickly looked at the wall. I heard Kol chuckle and say.

"Nik was right about me, Dia. You've made me very spoiled. Now, you must deal with this monster you have created."

I quickly looked at him and said.

"You are not a monster, Kol, and you're also not funny. Put your shirt on yourself."

Kol's response was tilt his head to the side and smirk at me. He was even able to make himself look impatient. I sighed then said in resignation.

"Sit up, so I can put the shirt over your head."

Kol did as he was told and I carefully slipped the shirt over his head. I then leaned forward and helped his arms go through the holes. Once the shirt was on, I slowly slid it down his body then said.

"There. Now, don't take it off."

I then pulled the covers back and slipped inside next to him facing him. Kol's arms instantly went around my waist and pulled me close against his chest. I slowly looked up at him and smiled. He returned my smile and gently kissed my nose. I giggled then moved my hand up and gently pinched his cheek. Kol laughed at me then began tickling my sides. I started squirming in his arms and laughing uncontrollably. Kol then decided to stop and held me close against him. I continued to giggle a little then heard him say.

"There's something I've been quite curious about, Dia."

Well, that was surprising. I looked up at him and questioned seriously.

"Really? What about?"

His response was very simple.

"You."

I frowned and asked.

"Me? What about me?"

Kol nodded then held me tighter against him and said surprisingly seriously.

"You are very peculiar for a human. You are ... different. You don't fear me and my family like a normal human should. You accept me for who I am, and you don't try to change me. Don't think I haven't noticed the many times you have defended me and tried to protect me."

He then smirked at me and said amused.

"I am the vampire, darling. It's my responsibility to protect you. Not the other way around. As I was saying, you are very different to say the least. I have never come across a human as unique as you. You are not insane, yet you are not completely sane. You rock on a very unstable balance. Why is that, Dia?"

I merely blinked at him and was amazed to see he was being serious. I smiled at him and my only response was.

"Let me tell you a story, Kol."

Kol nodded then quickly rearranged us to where I was laying down, and he was laying half on top of me. I sighed then began to gently pass my hand through his hair as I began my story.

(A/N: Pay attention, guys. This is a good story and it may help you in life.)

"This story takes place back in the old days in southern Mexico where cars and technology weren't even invented yet. It was the days were people lived in small pueblos and went to-and-from places on horseback. Well, one day an old man and a little boy were traveling with their horse through a couple of these pueblos on their way home. They passed by the first pueblo and people said, "That poor old man shouldn't be walking if he has a horse! He is old and he needs to not walk so much!", so the older man decided to ride the horse. At the next pueblo people said, "Can you believe that man? HE is on top of the horse while the poor little boy has to walk in this heat! He should let the boy ride the horse!", so they decided to BOTH ride the horse at the next pueblo. Once they passed by the third pueblo people said, "Can you believe them? They're BOTH going to ride that poor horse to death! How can they both ride the poor animal in this heat!" As they finally left the third pueblo the little boy asked, "Grandpapa, should we get off now?" His grandfather replied, "No, son, because no matter what you do, you will never be able to keep the world happy. So, let this be a lesson to you to just be yourself and not let what the world says dictate who you are and what you do." The end."

Kol then slowly looked up at me and stared at me curiously. I smiled at him and said.

"That story is the reason why I am who I am. I am me because I do not let the world dictate who I should be. I don't let what people say get to me and change who I am. I am Diamond Mia De La Rosa and this is who I love to be. It's also one of the main reasons why I don't fear or judge you, Kol. I accept you for who you are and I would never ask you to change."

Kol remained silent for several minutes and I waited patiently for his reaction. His deep chocolate brown eyes bored into mine for what felt like an eternity. Until he finally smirked at me and stated completely seriously.

"Would you be angry with me if I kidnapped you and kept you handcuffed to my bed, Dia?"

My jaw dropped and my eyes grew wide in disbelief at his blunt statement. I quickly gained my composure then gave him my signature pissed off look. Kol simply started laughing and said.

"So, I'm assuming you wouldn't like that very much?"

I gave him a small smile and replied.

"You're funny, Kol. It's time for bed."

Kol smirked at me then proceeded to lay down beside me, but instantly tangle his hands and limbs around my body. I merely sighed then gently carressed his hair as we both fell into deep slumber.

Next Morning

I was quite literally thrown out of my slumber by landing flat on the floor and someone hitting me with a pillow. I covered my head with my hands and snapped.

"Ha Ji Ma! Bri! Stop it!"

I didn't hear the voice of my little sister, but of another familiar voice reply.

"You only have one hour left to get ready, Diamond! Get up! You too, Kol!"

I moaned into my hands and said.

"Rebekah, was the pillow-beating necessary?"

I looked up at her and she merely scoffed and replied snarkily.

"You two are lucky I didn't decide to pour cold water on you instead. You should be thanking me rather than complaining."

I merely blinked at her then slowly stood up and staggered to the bathroom. I quickly took a warm shower and was grateful to Rebekah for bringing in my clothing. Finally, I was going to wear some plain old jeans along with a simple long-sleeve white shirt. Rebekah, however, had gotten me some expensive beige winter boots along with a light winter coat. My oufit was finished off with a beret, mittens, and scarf. I had to hand it to Rebekah, she had a great taste in fashion.

Once I was done, Klaus and Elijah helped take down my luggage while Kol showered. I followed after them and we all waited patiently for Kol to be done. Well, at least I was being patient. Klaus was continuously taunting Kol about staring too long into the mirror, and that he was taking longer than I did. I merely sighed at his antics and went to stare out the window. I then heard Klaus say.

"It's about bloody time, Kol."

I slowly turned around to look at him and my jaw nearly hit the floor. It should be illegal for him to look that good. He was wearing dark pants along with black shoes. He had on a fine, black leather jacket that would put Damon's to shame. He had it wide open to a dark blue shirt that suited him perfectly, and to top it off his hair was styled gorgeously messily, but not a gross messy. It was more of a sexy, seductive, messy. The last thing that placed the cherry on top was that irresistable smirk and tilt of his head. I slowly walked toward him and his smirk grew. I carefully wrapped my arms around him and said bluntly.

"You look very handsome."

Kol started to laugh then raised my head up and kissed me on the lips. I carefully kissed him back then pulled away slightly and said.

"We should go."

Kol nodded then we turned to his siblings and followed them out to Elijah's car. They loaded the luggage in the trunk and we all got inside. Elijah drove and Klaus took shotgun while Rebekah, Kol, and I sat in the back. We quickly arrived at the town square and got out of the car. Kol took my backpack even though I kept telling him to let me carry it. We all reached the center of the square and stood around patiently waiting for Galen. It wasn't even two minutes later that several cars pulled up. Once I saw all the people that stepped out of them, I laughed a bit then began singing.

"Scooby-Dooby-Doo, where are you? We got some work to do now. Scooby-Dooby-Doo, where are you? We need some ... "

Kol hugged me from behind and said.

"I have a feeling I'm missing some sort of joke here. Nik seems to find your singing very amusing."

I nodded then replied seriously.

"Kol, you missed out on some of the greatest and iconic TV characters in history. I promise to teach you all about them if we come back."

Kol looked down at me and questioned.

"If?"

I shrugged and replied casually.

"There's a slight chance Silas may find a way to rise and will kill us all."

Kol furrowed his brows then gave me a serious nod and replied.

"I'll protect you, darling."

We were interrupted by a voice saying.

"Well, if it isn't Romeo and Juliet. I'm honored to finally meet you tragic love birds in person."

Kol let go of me and was about to move towards Damon, but I grabbed his arm and wrapped it around me once again. I leaned my head back against his chest then looked directly at Damon and replied coldly.

"Was that supposed to be an insult?"

Nobody said anything.

I merely tilted my chin up like I had seen Rebekah do many times and continued on in the same icy tone.

"For you to believe your petty and unoriginal insults will cause any sort of reaction out of us is amusing to say the least. Pitiful, but amusing all the same."

Silence.

It was then broken off by someone stepping up and saying.

"So, you're Diamond, huh? I've heard much about you. So, I was thinking that we could cover more ground if we all split ... "

"You're not going."

Shane froze in his spot then stared directly at me and began again.

"Oh I see. You don't even know who I am and here I am making plans. I'm Professor Atticus Shane. I'm sure I'll be able to safely guide ... "

I narrowed my eyes at him and said bluntly.

"Are you deaf? Or just stupid? You. Are. Not. Coming."

At this, his fake smile disappeared and he said angrily.

"What the hell do you mean I'm not going?"

"You heard me, dude. You are a liability. I know what your true agenda is, and I will not allow it. Silas will bring down that Veil over my dead corpse. For the dead to walk among the living is unnatural. You are disturbing the balance of nature by doing something like that."

I then looked over at Bonnie accusingly and said.

"I told you not to trust him. Do you WANT to die?"

I pointed at Jeremy and Stefan and asked her.

"Do you want THEM to die? Do you not care?"

Bonnie quickly snapped back.

"I didn't invite him. I've been avoiding him just like you said, but he must of overheard my conversation with Jeremy about the trip while we were at The Grill."

He quickly turned to Bonnie with disbelieving eyes and questioned her.

"You would believe some stranger over me, Bonnie? After everything that I have done for you? After helping you become the powerful witch you are now?"

Now, THAT pissed me off. I glared at him and retorted.

"After everything you've done for her? You really are stupid, aren't you? You showed her Expression! Which is dark magic that shouldn't be used by someone like her. If other witches hear about what she's been messing with they're going to hunt her down and take her out. Oh, and you helped her become the powerful witch she is? Are you sick in the head? She's a Bennett! She was BORN a powerful witch. Her ancestors were strong kick-ass witches and so is she. Get the hell out of here."

He then looked around him and realized no one was taking his side. He glared at Bonnie and said.

"You're going to regret this, Bonnie."

I scoffed and said.

"Yeah, threaten an unstable witch loaded with Expression. That's the brightest thing you've done today. Moron."

He glared at me as well and said.

"You should watch your back from now on."

I actually smirked at that and replied smartly.

"Thanks for the tip, but I already have the most dangerous of The Originals watching it for me. Isn't that right, Kol?"

Kol merely smirked at him then said.

"I'm going to give you a head start. I want you to run to the farthest and most secluded place you can think of. Because once Silas is dealt with I am going to hunt you down and rip out your insides very very slowly for daring to threaten my Dia. So, if I were YOU I'd start running."

So, I guess he wasn't completely stupid. Since, he gave Kol one look and quickly walked away to his car. It was then that we heard a deep accented voice say.

"Very impressive vampire. It almost seems like you actually care for her."

We all turned around and saw Galen calmly walking towards us. He smirked then said.

"So, when was the part that I said this would be a school field trip? I don't recall ever saying something like that. The girl and the witch are the only ones allowed for this job. Everyone else go home or go trip over a wooden fence."

I sighed then lied casually.

"Nobody is coming with ME. They are all just here to see me off. I don't know about Bonnie, though."

Bonnie glared at me then said firmly.

"I'm coming alone as well."

Galen looked at us skeptically for several seconds then said.

"Very well then. Grab your things and let's go."

We both nodded and I quickly grabbed my backpack from Kol. I looked up at him then gave him a small wink and said loudly enough for everyone to hear.

"I promise to come back. Please try not to cause Klaus too much trouble."

Kol smirked at me then replied.

"I'm not making promises I can't keep."

"That's why I requested you to try."

I then gave him a big hug and kiss on the cheek. I looked over at his siblings and said seriously.

"I'll keep everyone posted. If we fail ... I need all of you to promise me you'll run. Because if Silas rises, you guys will instantly be on his hit list. If he kills all of you, the vampire race will become extinct. So, you're not just running for yourselves. You're going to be running for your entire race. Just please keep that in mind."

All of the Originals nodded at me. Then Klaus came towards me and said.

"Don't worry about us, love. You go and make sure nobody raises hell on earth."

He then pulled out his wallet and handed me his credit card. Oh my God! I had left his other one in my dirty clothes! I looked at him wide-eyed and began apologizing, but he simply chuckled and replied.

"Don't worry, sweet-heart. I have more than one of those."

He then handed me a LARGE wad of hundreds and said.

"Just in case you reach somewhere that requires cash."

I gratefully took them and stored them in my jean's pocket. I shifted awkwardly on my feet and stuttered.

"Uh ... um, thank you, Klaus. I promise to only spend it on what's absolutely necessary."

Klaus rolled his eyes and replied bluntly.

"You are much too modest and humble. You need to live a little, love."

I looked down with a small blush coating my cheeks and said.

"Yeah, well you know me. I'm a weirdo."

Klaus smirked at that and simply replied.

"Indeed."

He proceeded to walk back to his siblings and I slowly lifted my head. I then looked over at everyone that had come along with Bonnie and stated seriously.

"Stefan, I've already talked to you and you already promised me you would run if we fail. Don't go back on your word. I don't care who's dying, or who's being threatened. Grab your junk and hit the road. You will be his main target, and you already know why. To everyone else, if you're a vampire or part vampire, I would suggest protecting the Originals. Because if they die, it won't matter how far you run."

Once I was done, I turned around and followed Galen to his car. He helped me place my backpack in his trunk, and we both waited patiently for Bonnie to say her goodbyes. Once she was done, she came toward us and Galen helped her load her gear as well. We both gave a final wave towards everyone and proceeded to sit in the back of Galen's car. He quickly got in the driver's seat and said mockingly.

"What? Did your boyfriends tell you not to sit next to me?"

Bonnie simply glared at him and replied.

"We're going to miss our flight. You should start driving."

Galen merely chuckled at her reply and began to drive out of town. The car ride was awkwardly silent except for Galen's radio playing some rock station at a low volume. After about thirty minutes of silence, I decided I would catch up on some sleep. I leaned my head against the door and closed my eyes. I wasn't good with awkward it made me uncomfortable. I was slowly falling into dream land when I heard Bonnie say conversationally.

"So, you and Kol, huh?"

Oh boy. Yeah, talk about an Original infront of a Hunter. I simply sighed and replied calmly.

"Yeah."

When I didn't continue Bonnie pressed.

"So, what's that like?"

I slowly sat up, since I knew Bonnie wasn't going to let me sleep any time soon. I gave her a side glance and replied.

"It's different."

I heard Galen snort from the front, but I ignored him and continued.

"I'm not going to lie and say Kol is the perfect boyfriend. Kol is ... well, he's Kol and I wouldn't want him any other way. I love him for who he is, and I would never ask him to change for me. Kol is sometimes seen as impulsive, but when it comes down to serious matters he can be very smart. Like when he kept telling you guys to forget about The Cure because Silas was a threat and would kill you all. Silas is the real deal, and Kol was the only one smart enough to take the threat seriously. Unlike you and the Scooby gang who were willing to let several people die to tear down the Veil and help poor, poor Elena. Not judging, just saying."

Out of everything I had just said, she had only seemed to catch on to one thing.

"So, you love him?"

My eyes grew wide at her question and I nervously stammered.

"What the ... I ... Well, I ... "

Did I love Kol? He had been so good to me and treated me nothing less than a princess. Sure, he had his moments, but that's what made him Kol. If he were to become the perfect fairytale prince, I probably wouldn't feel this way for him. I liked Kol for his strong attitude and personality. I admired how he didn't let the world dictate who he should be or how he should act. He was himself and he was happy. He, in Kol's on words, "Only wanted to have some fun," and he did. He lived life calmly and casually without any worries. He was a man of his word as well. As soon as we got together, he hadn't so much as looked at another girl. He only had eyes for me and tried to give me anything I wanted. He protected me and guarded me as if I were made of fragile glass. He really treated me like his own precious jewel.

I slowly turned to look at Bonnie and said directly into her eyes.

"Yes, Bonnie. I do love him. I love him very much and I don't think I'll ever be able to love someone like I love Kol."

Bonnie stared at me skeptically and asked.

"What about Kol? How does he feel about you? Can .. can he even love? Does he even know what that is? He is a monster after all."

At that, I glared at her and retorted sharply.

"Don't talk about him like that. You don't know anything."

She simply huffed then looked away and said.

"I was just trying to ... "

"I appreciate what you're trying to do, but just don't. Let's talk about something else. Oh, look! There's a zebra running across the highway!"

Bonnie instantly sat up and looked forward asking.

"Where? I don't see anything!"

Both Galen and I started laughing at her confused look and I said.

"It was a joke, Bonnie. Come on, smile."

Bonnie glared at me for a couple of seconds then slowly began to laugh as well. I smiled at her then said casually.

"I did actually happen to see that one time. Back home the zoo was doing some sort of exchange with another zoo and the zebra managed to get loose when they were trying to put it in its cage. Anyway, there were about ten car wrecks along the freeway, and a pissed off news lady who got head-butted into a large puddle of sewer water for getting too close."

At that, Bonnie started laughing again and asked.

"Are you serious? That's hilarious."

I shook my head and replied.

"Nah, the hilarious part was that the camera guy caught it all on film and simply kept on recording as she screeched at him to help her."

Even Galen appeared to be smirking at my tale, while Bonnie outright laughed. I smiled at my job well done, and looked ahead as the trees passed quickly by us.

It was several miles later that Galen slammed on the breaks and said in his deep voice.

"What in the name of hell ... "

Bonnie and I both sat up and looked forward just in time to see a large GIRAFFE running on the other side of road going west. I quickly rubbed my eyes and shook my head to make sure I wasn't seeing things. After the Giraffe passed us, it was followed by several police cars, a fire truck, an ambulance, and a large trailer with a cage. We all remained silent for several seconds then busted out laughing. That was just pure gold. I couldn't even think of something smart aleck to say. I held my side then leaned back on the seat and said in between laughs.

"I can't ... I can't even ... Oh my God! That was good! That was really, really good."

Galen then started back down the road and Bonnie said sarcastically.

"Next thing you know, the king of the jungle will come to say hi."

About five miles down the road, a streak of large, yellow-orange fur with bright yellow eyes was casually walking across the road. My only response to that was.

"Like a boss."
