"You know when I said a date, I thought you kinda met an understanding with me on it being a one on one." Sean said, wearing casual jeans but a nice button up blue shirt that matched his blue eyes. His arms almost popped out of the shirt. He pushed his charming like hair back in a small bun.

Ellie blushed standing beside him, putting a piece of hair behind her ear. She was nervous! Last relationship she had felt like hell and back and Sean was like Prince Charming..really.

..so she invited him for drinks with work. Was this a bad thing? Her friends sat at a table in the restaurant they had all picked out to celebrate their tumor surgery from this morning. This one survived, and they deserved to celebrate.

At the two sat down, Manny beamed noticing Sean, "Coma Cameron!" she drunkenly blurted. She held the wine glass in her hand.

Ellie put her head in her hands and he lifted an eyebrow, was that was they called him?

"I-I mean Sean." she tried to smile and Emma just gave her a look to shut up now. She tightened a smile. Jay hid his smirk, sipping his beer and snuck a glance at Emma across the table who with Manny and Craig. He didn't know why he had agreed to come, Ellie forced him into it and at least he didn't mind seeing Sean.

"Shame Liberty couldn't come.." drifted Jt.

They all eyed him wierdly. That wasn't the usual tune coming from him. "She's dealing with family stuff.." drifted Emma. Nobody else knew it, but that patient who needed a heart soon, Danny, was Libertys little brother. Liberty was a wreck over the whole thing but trying to stay strong.

When dinner was over, and they were finishing up their drinks, the girls were giggling together. Sean and Jay were in a conversation as Jt and Craig were playing a drinking game.

"You are going to be hungover tomorrow." Manny warned Craig, giggling at his disgusted look after the shot he had to take.

Sean went to grab his beer as he turned from Jay for a moment and Ellie leaned over to him, "I'm so sorry, I know this isn't what you had in mind." she whispered to him.

He smiled softly at her, "Relax, as long as Im with you." he shrugged, it was no big deal, he liked her friends. She looked amazing tonight too, her green eyes shimmering from the long red hair and her green little dress. She was his future wife, he just knew it. One day he was gonna marry this girl. When she laughed, Sean had never heard something so beautiful. Tons of girls always flirted with him in the past, but never ones with real personality like Ellie's . She was his fireball.

"So." Manny smiled tilting her head, "hows the dating world?" she asked Ellie.

"As if you don't know" Ellie taunted back, not letting Manny embarrass her. They all smirked glancing at Craig. It was no secret anymore, but definitely not allowed.

"You know," Jt said matter of factly, "It's said quite a few Doctors and nurses hook up, and its only 20% that actually end up married."

At this time, Emma did all she could to avoid Jay's eyes knowing they were one of those 'few' doctors and nurses. She doubted they'd ended up married though, hell, Jay was scared to even just commit. Wait, scratch that, he did say he wanted a date. But that didn't mean anything right?

Sean asked interested, "What's the hospital think about dating patients?"

"Ask Jay that one." laughed JT, earning a glare. Jay looked to Emma who just turned her head away from him and he frowned deeply. Honest, he hadn't seen another girl since that night with her. Yes, so what, he had a 'promiscuous' past before..he was ready to change now if she said the word.

Ellie shrugged, "It's fine just as long as we don't sexually harass them." she looked at Sean playfully, "Which it's usually the other way around."

Sean whispered to Ellie teasingly, "You can sexually harass me any time." she giggled with him and he asked, "Wanna get out of here? Have a real date? Are your nerves calmed down? Do you trust me enough to be alone with me now Ellie Nash?"

Ellie smiled shaking her head and rolled her eyes, he just met her yet knew her already so well. It wasn't him she didn't trust him, it was herself. "I'm ready, lets go."

"Have a nice night guys." Sean said, placing his hand on the lower part of Ellie's back and guided her off. When they left, Sean slipped his hand into Ellie's chuckling. He enjoyed her friends, and Jay was cool too.

Jay began to drink too much now, stuck at a table with one couple and Emma on the other side chatting with JT and ignoring him. He felt like an idiot, No girl has ever made him feel like an idiot. It was obvious that he was here for her, wasn't it? Dammit he was her little puppet. The anger made him drink more.

"We're off." Craig told everyone, standing with Manny.

Jt nodded and looked to Emma when they left, "You want a ride home with me?"

"Careful," taunted Jay sarcastically, "Taking her home after a night of driving usually goes all wrong. Well," he corrected smugly, "It goes pretty good for about a few hours, but then she leaves you high and dry, in the dust, the next morning."

Emma's mouth fell, looking at him in disbelief. JT didn't even know about their thing! Jt even muttered awkwardly, "I just meant driving her home..." they ignored JT, glaring at another.

"What is wrong with you!?" Emma yelled at him.

Jay snickered, grabbing his beer and spoke before he sipped, "Actually, for once, it's not me with the problem."

"And what's my problem then?" Emma asked and taunted, "Is it because you're an arrogant ass whose never taken one girl seriously, so I won't go on a date with you?"

He bitterly glared. Yup, that was it. She looked away though, and his stomach turned when he noticed her eyes water up and she stood up.

"I'll walk." she snapped at JT and stormed off. Jay sat there for a moment before he heavily scoffed and grabbed his keys, chasing after her. Jt blinked, sitting alone.

"Check!" he called out to the waiters, lifting his finger.

Emma!" Jay chased her out of the bar and she tried to look around for taxi and cursed, pacing until he grabbed her.

She shouted desperately over her shoulder, "Leave me alone!" she tried to fight back tears. Why was this so complicated?

"No!" he shot back, shaking his head and made her to turn to look at him, "I warned you, I said if you STARTED THIS, I couldn't stop."

"Why not?" she begged helplessly, her heart clenching. What did that even mean!? Stop what?!

"Because I lo- like you." he softened, shrugging a little and leaned down more, cupping her face and she melted to his touch. "Why can't you admit you want me too?"

Emma sniffed sadly and pulled away, "Cause it's not professional, and these kinds of relationship? They don't work out."

Jay looked at her like she was crazy, why did she act like she KNEW that as a fact? They were different, he could feel it. They were just a doctor, or a nurse, she was Emma, and he was Jay. They were more than just medical staff..much more.

She finally pulled a cab to the side and quickly got in, shutting the door before he could even open his mouth or stop her.

"Drive." she begged the driver that did so and she whipped the tear from her cheek and glanced over her shoulder. Jay stood back on the sidewalk, watching painfully as the taxi with Emma inside drifted further and further away.

The next day, Emma leaned on the wall with Paige. Paige was talking, but Emma was in a daze and didn't care.

"I'm dying for that brain surgery today." Paige told Emma.

"Everyone is." Emma said monotonously.

"I'm so getting it." Manny declared, showing up beside them and crossed her arms, watching Snake come over and begin to write on the board.

Paige snickered, "Who said so?"

"The fact that I introduced myself to the patient, hit it off and he asked for me." smiled Manny happily, she deserved this!

Paige tightened her lips in anger and taunted bitterly, "Now by hit it off do you mean flirting and possibly revealing-"

"Ok!" Emma exclaimed, not in the mood and knowing how these two could be. The two huffed and Emma did too, she REALLY was not in a good mood today.

"Manny and Jay for the brain surgery today." Snake said out loud after done writing and put the cap back on his marker before sticking it into his doctor coat. Manny cheered.

Jay came up behind, looking unreadable and not in the mood for anything today either. He even walked by Emma without even glancing at her. He wasn't wearing scrubs yet, only jeans and simple black v neck shirt and hair looking like he had just ran his fingers through it.

"Not Manny." Jay told Snake, shaking his head. He looked like he had an extreme hangover. Emma looked down. Manny yelped, a bit offended and pouted. "I can't work with you bubblyness today." Jay tried to explain and nodded to Paige, "you want in?"

Paige perked up and nodded firmly, keeping her own bubbly-ness down. When he walked off, Paige clapped in delight and Emma narrowed her eyes watching him go.

"I win." Paige informed Manny who muttered something under her breath, "What was that?" snapped Paige.

"I said have fun!" lied Manny, turning to Emma and muttered, "Bitch." about Paige and walked off. Emma giggled a little and looked to Paige who smirked, looking down the hall at Jay who was stopped by Craig to talk.

"Talk about the hottest surgeons in the hospital." Paige practically purred to Emma, eyeing Jay more, "How much trouble would I get in for sleeping with him?"

Me punching you in the face. Emma snapped out of her thoughts, woah! Did she really just think that? "I heard he's got herpes." Emma proudly lied and walked off as Paige's mouth fell.

"Ew."

Emma went to the basement where J.T hung out on break and laid on one of the hospital beds with wheels that was lined up against the wall and she joined him, lying down beside him.

"Rough night?" he joked, looking over at her.

Emma just grumbled and she cuddled next to him, and he put his arm around her warmly. Nothing romantic, just two friends there for another. They were like brother and sister. Besides, only Jay and Liberty seemed to be on their minds.

Back at Ellie's apartment, the red head stirred in her bed and stretched. She felt good, really good..and happy. She was in the strong arms of Sean Cameron, a naked Sean Cameron.

"Who knew a cheap meal would get me good sex after." he teased, holding her from behind and whispering in her ear to then nibble it.

She bit her lip. Sean was probably one of the sexiest guys she's ever been with. She giggled a bit and blushed, and felt his morning..well, erection.

"Again?" she teased, looking over her shoulder playfully and raised an eyebrow as he smirked. She yelped and laughed when he grabbed her and rolled her over ontop of him, kissing another deeply and happily, his fingers running through her red hair.

"Thank god for days off." he mummered against her lips.

"For me," she corrected. "Don't you have to go back to the army some time soon?"

"Nope. Found out something like a coma mean you can back out if you'd like." he joked. "I'm done with it. Seen some awful things.."

"I bet."

"Didn't help that I had to try to fix other peoples scars either.." he frowned as he thought about it

Ellie lifted her eyebrows. "What?! You were a doctor?"

"Trama." he nodded. Wow. Ellie leaned down and kissed him hard. Perfect guy in the world.

Emma walked down the surgery hall and stopped walking when she saw a little Korean boy hiding around a corner, other nurses and doctors not even noticing him as he had a bloody forehead. She went over and bent down. "hey." she whispered, "Are you okay?"

The little boy's wide eyes stared up at her and grabbed her hand. Emma blinked and looked around but followed him and he led her outside where it was beginning to storm. The little boy picked up his pace and ran through the rain and over to behind a dumpster. When Emma curiously followed and walked around it, her mouth fell when she saw his parents in more bad shape, it looked like a car accident or something. The woman was holding her arm that could be broken and the man had a bloody forehead too and split lip and cheek that needed some stitching.

Why would they be afraid of coming into the hospital to get checked?

"Do you speak english?" Emma asked over the rain, getting over her shock and the parents just sadly looked at her and they were all getting soaken wet.

The little boy did and mummered softly, "No green card."

Emma looked down at him and hopelessly at the parents...they needed help, bad. Screw the law.

Meanwhile in the brain surgery with Jay...

"Andddd now the by pass." Jay said, finishing up the surgery and the nurses around helping him. Paige and him both wheeled out the patient back to his room and Paige tossed her hair to her good side and flashed him her Michealchuck smile.

"So Doc, how busy is a life of a surgeon?" she flirted.

He gave a wierd look and glanced at her as they put the patient into place in his room and just merely shrugged and walked off as Paige blinked. Did she just get brushed off?

Jay went to the guys' locker room and changed out of his dark blue scrubs and put on a black sleeve shirt, rolling up the sleeves a bit. He sighed and opened his locker, feeling a bit moody today and the devil herself who made him feel this way, came running in.

He gazed her up and down as she panted and closed the door behind her, she looked wet, and scared. Upon wanting to make a joke that this was the GUYS' room, he had to worry a bit. "What's wrong?" the concern showed in his eyes.

"I need a big favor from you." she admitted sadly, looking nervous and even turned to lock the door. She ran her shakey hand through her damp hair and her other hand hid something behind her back til she showed him what she held. A needle kit and threat, and a bunch of other first aid stuff.

He snickered, wanting her to know he was still mad but sighed, knowing he couldn't say no and followed her out of the door and then out of the hospital. Where the hell were they going?

It was pitch dark now and he looked around as Emma led him through the rain and when he got to the dumpster, he saw the hurt family, the little boy... of course Emma would care too much like this and want to disobey the law about aiding people with no green cards that weren't suppose to be in this country. Jay understood though, and loved this about her. She'd go to high lengths to help people she didn't even know.

Emma watched Jay in admiration as he focused so hard to patch the little boy up first. No questions asked. Even in this storm, he was being so calm and collected. She fell in love even harder with him tonight..

She didn't mean to pick him for this, I mean, Craig was new, she knew he would be to afraid to do something illegal. Snake would possibly fire her, but Jay? She just trusted him. Jay was the only one she knew she could depend on.

"Where the hell is Emma?" Snake asked, inside and talking to a patient as J.t came in and shrugged, he had no clue.

"I'll fill in." he insisted, and Snake nodded passing a chart to him and J.T smiled happily.

Craig was walking down the hall and stopped at what was usually Ellie's desk but since she was off, Manny sat in it.

"Why are you just sitting here?" he asked her.

Manny grumbled, "Well, Jay chose Paige over me for surgery and I've been doing nothing!" she put her head down on the desk, hard. Bored.

He chuckled and then asked, "Well, we can't find Jay anywhere so I'm doing the next surgery.. you want in or do I have to find another girl?"

Manny looked up hopefully and smiled, bouncing up and running around "I'm your girl!" she insisted perkily and then swallowed hard, looking around. How loud and desperate was that?! He laughed and nodded which way to go and they took off. He went to hold her hand and she swatted him away playfully.

At break, they all sat in the hospital cafeteria as Jay and Emma finally came in, both looking damp and now it was 2am.

"What a day." groaned J.t as they sat down.

"Where the hell were you all night?" taunted Craig to Jay to then shake his head, "Nevermind, I got to do more surgeries, it's fine."

"More than fine." beamed Manny.

Jt eyed Emma, and glanced at Jay...she was missing too. She wasnt... no she'd never go for Jay. Wait a minute, the fight the other night. OH GOD! Did they sleep together? After literally a day, JT finally put it together. WOAH.

Emma tried not to smile and snuck a glance at Jay.

When the friends were leaving the hospital that late night, Jay walked in the back of the group with Emma and talked lowly.

"Don't tell anyone what we did tonight."

"I'm not stupid." she teased.

He looked at her and they shared a playful look and he snickered. "We're going to hell for that." he confirmed.

She rolled her eyes as he stepped closer and she joked, "Won't we go to heaven? That was a good thing we did. Just because our bosses and president don't agree?" she snickered bitterly.

Jay grinned madly down at her and she looked up at him happily too.

Jay leaned closer, wondering if he was seeing things but he honestly believed Emma was looking at him back the way he was looking at her. Hungerily. His breath got caught in his throat, and his lips inched closer to hers. He sucked in a breath when she leaned up but then she smiled and walked around him.

"Night Jay." she said, walking off and biting her lip while silently giggling.

He stood there, staring at the place she once stood in. Hope ran through him and he smirked, glancing over his shoulder to watch her go.

AN: Hows Everyone liking the couples? I usually don't have Manny with Craig. Im actually not a big fan of Craig honestly but I hope the Cranny lovers are liking it..or if theres people out there who want Manny with someone else, leave a review! It is only the beginning after all. Things change. If you noticed, I changed the story a bit more. Better writing, and more drama with other pairing other than Jemma but ugh, who doesn't love those two?
