A few days later, Shay and Troian got to sleep in since it was a Saturday and they had planned to go out hiking or do something fun that morning. Shay was lying on the couch in the living room while Troian was in her bedroom, quickly getting changed.
The raven-haired girl was lying there patiently, checking her emails, when she felt Troian's phone vibrating on the couch cushion next to her, where Troian was sitting earlier.
She quickly picked it up to see who it was and noticed that it was Lulu, Troian's best friend. The tanned girl quickly clicked 'answer' and lifted the phone up to her ear.
"Hey Lulu, it's Shay." She said happily.
"Hey, I hear congratulations are in order!" She said happily as Shay smiled.
"Yes, thank you! And let me tell you, your best friend is quite the romantic." Shay gushed happily.
"So I've heard!" She responded since Troian had had lunch with her and told her all about her proposal plan. "On a scale of 1-10, how much did you approve of her proposal?" The blonde asked.
"At least 100. It was such a perfect night."
"Well I'm glad to hear that. You make her so happy, you know that, right?" Lulu asked, just wanting to make sure.
"I do. And she makes me even more happy." Shay said truthfully, "So how's everything going? You doing anything fun today?"
"Nah, probably just hanging around, which is always nice." She admitted with a chuckle. "You?"
"T and I are going hiking, you should come if you want to! She should be out soon, I'll give the phone to her when she's ready." Shay said suddenly, remembering that she was on Troian's phone.
"Oh, not a problem. Justin and I have to finalize some wedding plans, but I'll definitely take you up on the hiking offer some other time."
"Sounds good. How's all the planning going?"
"Really good, actually! We're pretty much done, we just have to double check to make sure everything looks okay."
"That's so exciting! How crazy does that feel?"
"It's insane, and incredible at the same time." Lulu admitted with a smile.
"I'm ready, Shay!" Troian said as she walked into the living room, before noticing that her fiancée was on the phone.
"Lulu, I'm gonna pass the phone to Troian, alright? Good luck with the wedding plans." Shay said as Lulu said bye to her.
She stood up and walked over to Troian, handing her the phone before kissing her on the cheek.
"Talk to Lulu, I'll be ready in a few minutes." She added as she headed to Troian's bedroom.
"So when do you think we should set the wedding date for?" Shay asked her fiancée as they got out of the car and started walking to the beginning of the trail.
"I don't know. I thought it would be cool to have the wedding a year from when I proposed, but I feel like we're too busy to plan it in under a year, and that would fall into filming time for PLL."
"Oh, that's true."
"Yeah, so I'm not too sure at the moment." Troian admitted with a shrug.
"It would be difficult to plan it for while we're filming because we don't know when we're actually supposed to be working yet." Shay agreed as they continued on their hike.
"Yeah. So do you think we should hold off for a few months and set the date later, or should we just do it for when we think next year's hiatus will be?" Troian asked, not wanting to let Shay down.
"Maybe wait a few months and decide then? All I know is that I cannot wait to be married to you, Miss Bellisario." Shay said, pulling Troian's hand, causing her to stop and turn into Shay.
"Likewise, Miss Mitchell." The brunette said with a grin before she leaned in and kissed her fiancée. "So I got an email this morning." Troian started out slowly as they started walking again.
"An email, really? Wow." Shay said feigning shock.
"Oh, stop!" Troian said with a laugh as Shay smiled happily.
"Continue." The raven-haired girl nodded.
"It was from my manager; I was offered a role in an independent movie that they want to film over the upcoming hiatus for PLL." Troian said simply.
"T, are you serious? That's incredible!" Shay said, bringing the brunette in for a bone-crushing hug.
"Yeah, it sounds like a really great project; I'm honored that they even thought of me for it." She said slowly.
"Why are you not more excited about this, Troi?" The raven-haired girl asked with a perplexed look on her face.
"Because it's filming in New York, which means that I would have to go there."
"And?" Shay asked simply.
"Would you want to come with me?" She asked quietly.
"T, I'll follow you anywhere." She replied, holding up the hand that possessed her engagement ring. "You know that."
"I just don't want to uproot your life so I can do this."
"Troian, it'll only be for a few months over hiatus. Plus, I love you and I love New York. What's the problem? This way we'll be closer to my family in Toronto."
"You're really okay with this?"
"Of course! Now get happy about this, Bellisario! Tell them you'll do it!" Shay said, shoving her fiancée's shoulder slightly before the brunette kissed her on the cheek sweetly.
"Thank you. You're amazing, you know that, right?"
"So I've heard." Shay said with a wink as Troian squeezed their intertwined hands.
On Monday, Troian didn't have to go into work until the afternoon, but that meant that she would have to stay there later into the evening.
She had been texting Shay back and forth all day throughout the breaks of her scenes and decided to come in a little bit early just to say hi and hang out with the girls before she had to start her scenes.
When she got there, she texted Shay who informed her that she and Ashley had started an impromptu Ustream in Ashley's dressing room.
Troian decided to go and meet them in there to see what they were chatting about over the Ustream.
She made her way to Ashley's door and decided to knock, hoping that Shay would get up and answer the door; she was pleased when she saw that it was, in fact, her fiancée who opened the door.
She quickly leaned in for a kiss, which was her sole purpose for knocking, since she didn't want to kiss her in front of the webcam.
"Hi. It's nice to see you." Shay whispered as she placed her arms around Troian's neck and kissed her one more time.
She grabbed Troian's hand and then turned back around, ignoring the huge smile that Ashley had on her face from watching them, and walked them over to the couch.
"Look who I found! The lovely and talented Troian Bellisario!" Shay said, happily introducing her as she ended up taking a spot on the floor, in front of the couch.
"Hi guys. How's it going? I don't really know how this works." The brunette laughed as Ashley ruffled her hair.
The girls explained it to her quickly before she looked at all of the messages that were coming through.
"Wow, this is crazy!" Troian exclaimed as Shay rubbed her back stealthily.
"Yeah, try and read some of them, Bells." Ashley said, wanting to watch Troian read some of them since they always flew by so fast.
"Spencer is the best." Troian said with a fist pump before she pointed at the camera with a smile, "Spencer is the best!" She agreed as the other two girls shook their heads.
"Who is your favorite cast member?" Ashley read out for Troian.
"That's kind of obvious, isn't it?" She asked as Shay smiled behind her. "Lucy." Troian answered with a straight face, causing Shay to feign disappointment since she knew her fiancée was only joking.
"Have you ever had a crush on Keegan?" Shay asked as she read a question off.
"Never." The brunette answered honestly.
"Do you and Shay ever argue?"
"We do." Troian answered as she looked up at Shay who smirked, "Normally it's because I'm being incredibly stubborn." She finished off as Shay nodded her head.
"When are you and Shay gonna get married?" Ashley asked with a smile as the questions continued to fly by.
Troian looked back at her fiancée, who was wearing a smile, and nodded slightly, giving her permission to tell everyone.
"Well, you see. I followed the advice of one of Shay's favorite singers and I put a ring on it." She said as Ashley and Shay broke out into huge smiles along with Troian.
The raven-haired girl rubbed Troian's shoulders happily, causing Troian to see the engagement ring on her finger.
"Funny story, actually." The brunette started it off, "This beauty right here almost got in a full on brawl with the costume department when they told her to make sure her ring was off during filming. No joke. That's what sparkly jewelry does to Miss Shannon." Troian said as Shay slapped her shoulder.
"I wasn't mean to them, I just almost started crying!" Shay admitted as Troian winked at her. "I thought it was gonna get lost or something if I took it off!"
"It's true. I witnessed the whole thing. She looked like she was about to cry and I just started laughing." Ashley added with a laugh, joined by Shay and Troian.
"Yeah, Ashley tends to laugh in situations where others might cry." Shay said with a smirk as the blonde shrugged.
"So to answer your actual question; we are getting married, but we haven't set a date yet." The brunette added with a smile, squeezing Shay's hand happily as Shay kissed the top of her head.
