Here we are, smack dab in the middle of Spring. I'm setting myself a personal goal to make this challenge as diversely plotted as possible, let's see how it goes. T for safety.

Smalls figured it was around his fourth cup of coffee that the cold symptoms really kicked in. Yes, yes, I think we all know by now that Smalls has *zero* self preservation skills. He usually had allergies, and drowned them out in an unholy amount of coffee and skeptically-given pain medication. Until it began to go beyond allergies, and then it was a problem. For Citadel of Words.

Flora Jenkins knows who she is. She knows that she's going to be the next Captain of the Valiant, if she can pass her initiation test. And she knows she hasn't gone by her real name, Joveson, in twelve years, and plans never to do so again. Too bad a group of strangers who approach her while the ship is moored in Yorkstien Harbor are determined to change that. T for Sea Monsters

A personal challenge I'm doing to write one piece of GE flash fiction every day in February.

The anniversary of Smalls and Heather's engagement, twenty-five years post it, and their love for each other has not waned.

Smalls knows his life is far from normal. He's known that since forever, but sometimes he wishes he could get through the day without having a life-threatening experience. No such luck, and when his caretaker's niece and nephew suddenly thrust there way into his life, he has no choice but to go along with it. Maybe it's not all bad...right?[Slow burn Smeather]

[Prequel to Ember's Blood] Evan Joveson knows three things about the world; 1. Daggler is the worst rabbit to ever live. 2. Politics stink. And 3. His little brother is unquestionably going to get him killed before either of them reach adulthood. And all because of his stupid stubbornness and hero complex. Also, Evan's eleven. But since when has the world cared about age?

The first part of Jo and Misty's relationship. It...did not go very well.

I was twelve when everything changed. It was the hottest summer I can remember, and one of the worst. [TW For child abuse (It's a major part of the story, but nothing graphic. Most of it is not dramatized anyways, only talked about by the characters) and Alcholism. Also trauma. But I think that's a given. TW CHAPTER 4, PANIC ATTACK]

Berta Joveson is just friends with Junder...right? When he asks her to stop coming to see him, she realizes just how much he means to her.

From meeting to engagement, everything has been waiting, but nothing has been lacking in love.

Wilfred had told Jupiter at least ten times to stop worrying. As usual, his friend was flatly ignoring him. Not that Wilfred was surprised; with a role-model like him, who could help it? For Citadel of Words.

Layra-Airen's precious miracle baby-was dead. Shown to her by the monster himself. **Airen is shown with "brutal clarity." Very dark and intense. Is on the higher side of the T-rating. You have been warned.**

When they turn 16 and come of age, it is the Blackstar family's tradition to take the newly-turned adult and recount their family history and the meaning of it. Finally, it's Coledon and Heyna Blackstar's birthday.
