"Can we finally go out tonight, babe?" Shay asked her fiancée as she walked over to her on set one morning.
"Yes, please. I've missed you so much." Troian said as she quickly wrapped Shay up in a tight hug, kissing her neck along the way.
Over the past two weeks, the girls had been on completely different schedules. Shay had been doing some modeling and traveling while Troian was working on a film with her friends. While they had been able to see each other at work they hadn't really been starting or ending at the same time.
"Same. Do you want to go somewhere tonight? Or just do something at home?" The tanned girl asked as Troian shrugged happily.
"As long as I'm with you, I'll go wherever." The brunette said, causing Shay to smile happily.
"I don't know if I feel like dealing with people tonight. How about we make dinner tonight at your place and just have a nice night in?" Shay suggested as she ran her hand up and down Troian's arm.
"That sounds amazing!" Troian replied, about to say something else when one of the assistant directors came to tell her that she was needed on set.
"Have a good day, T, I'll see you in a little while." Shay said, squeezing Troian's hand before the brunette smiled and walked after the assistant director.
Later that night, Troian walked in the door, smiling brightly when she saw the lights were on and some of her fiancée's favorite music was playing from the kitchen.
"Hi, baby." Troian said sweetly as she walked into the kitchen, dropping all of her stuff along the way.
"There you are! I've been waiting for you to get home." Shay said as she set down the wine and went to envelope Troian in a huge hug.
Shay pulled back slightly to connect their lips, both of them smiling into the kiss.
"What's on the menu for tonight, babe?" Troian asked softly as she rubbed her hands up and down Shay's back.
"Spaghetti and garlic bread?" She asked questioningly as Troian smiled sweetly and kissed her on the cheek.
"Sounds great to me. Let me just change really fast and we can get started?" She asked as she kissed Shay one more time before she headed to her room to throw on some sweats.
"So what do you wa-" Troian started out as she walked into the kitchen, stopping when she saw that her fiancée was on the phone.
"Yeah, mom. That's alright. Yeah, you just heard Troian. I'm at her house. We're making dinner. Yes, we will have to skype later. Alright, sounds good. Yeah, I'll tell her. Love you too. Bye." Shay said as Troian hopped up on the counter and just watched her with a knowing smile.
"How're the parents?" Troian asked once Shay set her phone down.
The tanned girl smiled happily, walking to stand in between Troian's legs.
"They're good. Just called to say hi and see how everything's going. She mostly just wanted to know if we decided on a date for the wedding or not. Or a place." Shay said, rubbing her hands along Troian's thighs.
"How about next year, maybe like early May? And what about at my dad's house? It's huge and there's tons of lawn/garden space. It could be really pretty. These are just ideas, you should think about it or talk it out with Michaela. Whatever." Troian said, absolutely no pressure, causing Shay to smile and squeal excitedly as Troian just chuckled.
"Uh, you're the best! We will definitely talk about this later! For now, I just want you and me, making dinner and spending a nice night together."
"That sounds like heaven." Troian said, leaning in to connect their lips softly.
The kiss started out slow, but eventually became heavier and more passionate, but the girls were broken apart when Troian's phone rang loudly.
"Crap, sorry. I need to get this." Troian said as she pulled back and looked at her phone, trying to breathe normally.
"That's alright, babe. You're mine for the night." Shay said with a wink as Troian hopped off the counter and started walking into the room to talk to her manager on the phone.
"Alright, I'm sorry. Please, let's start dinner." Troian said 7 minutes later when she walked back into the kitchen.
"Awesome!" Shay said as she grabbed her fiancée's hand and pulled her in.
The two were chatting happily and sipping wine as they waited for the water to boil. Troian was just about to say something when Shay heard her phone ring again.
"T, I'm so sorry, let me just switch it to silent." Shay said as she picked up her phone. "I hate to do this to you, but it's my brother." She said as Troian shrugged and nodded.
"Take it, I'll be here." The brunette said, smiling softly as Shay kissed her on the cheek and then walked away.
A few minutes later, she walked back in with a smile.
"He was just telling me when his next gigs are in California. He'll be here in a few weeks and will be staying with me for 4 days!" The tanned girl said happily as Troian smiled sincerely.
"That's awesome. You know, you, me, Nick, and Sean should all go out to dinner or something. I think they'd hit it off if we introduced them. They'd have a lot of music stuff to talk about." Troian suggested as she stirred the spaghetti.
"That's a great idea, I'd love that." Shay said, kissing the brunette on the cheek happily.
"Also, I'm happy that you got to talk to your parents and brother...but I'm going to get pissed if people keep interrupting us. I've barely seen you in like 2 weeks, Shan." Troian explained as Shay nodded understandably.
"I know, babe. It's been too long since we've been able to just chill out with each other and have a quiet night."
"That did not just happen! How are we both so popular on one night?" The brunette asked exasperatedly, throwing her hands up in the air as she looked at her phone, which was ringing.
Shay laughed quietly to herself as she watched her fiancée fiddle with her phone, deciding not to answer it.
"I'm done with technology for the moment. We're taking a break from each other." She said jokingly as she silenced her phone and threw it in her coat pocket, which was hanging on the back of a chair in her kitchen.
"Well, if that's what you want, I'm happy for you." Shay said as she wrapped Troian in her arms.
"I love you, Mitchell."
"I love you too, babe." Shay replied with a grin, leaning in to kiss Troian softly on the lips.
"Can we please eat now and just relax?" The brunette asked as Shay rubbed her back lightly, leaving a kiss on her cheek.
"Please. I'll grab the plates, you grab the wine, and we'll meet in the dining room?" Shay suggested as Troian smiled happily.
"You got it, babe." Troian said as she made her way into the dining room.
She had just sat down when Shay handed her a plate, getting ready to sit down herself when her phone went off.
"Shay, I'm about to lose it." Troian said exasperatedly as Shay smiled and kissed the brunette on her cheek before she got up to put her phone on silent.
Normally the girls would be willing to turn them off completely, but they needed to have them on during the workweek in case they got a call from someone about a schedule change for the next day.
"Sorry, babe, it was just Ashley. I'll talk to her later." Shay said as she sat down.
"That's alright, I just really want some uninterrupted Shay time. It's been too long."
"I agree, Miss Bellisario. I completely agree."
The two were in the middle of Troian telling a funny story about something that happened on set the other day when Shay heard her phone vibrating on the kitchen counter.
"If that is Ashley again, I will drive to her house, rip the phone from her hands, and steal her dog." Troian said with a laugh as Shay smiled at her fiancée.
"You're beyond adorable. And I'm sorry, but I will be right back." Shay said as she squeezed Troian's hand and then got up to deal with the call.
She walked back into the dining room and sat down with a smirk on her face, smiling as she listened to her blonde best friend on the phone.
"Yes, I ignored your first call. Because Troian and I are trying to have a date night. Well it was going well, but now I'm talking to you instead of her. Yes, we've had so many interruptions already. That's all you were calling me for? You couldn't text that? I don't know, I'll talk to her and tell you tomorrow on set. Okay? Awesome. I'm going to hang up now. It's either that or T is going to steal your phone and your dog. And I might be the getaway driver, I'm not sure yet. Yeah, bye." Shay said as she hung up with Ashley and laughed slightly.
"Of course you would be the getaway driver. But now that that is out of the way, care to take a nice bath?" Troian asked as she started bringing the plates into the kitchen.
"Only if I'll have a gorgeous, leggy woman in it." Shay answered with a smile as Troian just stared at her.
"Well yeah, you'll be in there." Troian said with a wink as Shay just smiled and shook her head.
"You're such a smartass sometimes, but I love you just the same." Shay said as she placed her arms around Troian's shoulders.
"I love you, and I would love to join you in the bath. I'll handle the dishes and you can get the bath started?"
"Perfect. See you in there." Shay said, leaning in for a kiss before she walked out of the kitchen, making sure to leave her phone on the countertop.
"So what's this I hear about you wanting to steal my phone and my dog, Bellisario?" Ashley asked with a grin the next day on set as Shay just laughed.
"Everyone was interrupting our date night and I was just getting pissed!" Troian explained as Ashley laughed at her friend.
The blonde then quickly made the two pose for a picture before she uploaded it to Instagram.
She hates when Shay's on her phone. Ashley posted along with a picture of the two of them, Shay on her phone as Troian was looking semi-angry/upset.
"She just wants my attention." Shay said with a smirk once she read what Ashley had captioned it.
"She's not wrong." The brunette agreed as Shay and Ashley both smiled and shook their heads happily.
