It was a gorgeous July night, warm, with a nice gentle breeze flowing through. The sun had just finished setting and there were torches and white lights strewn throughout the huge backyard, some twisted around the porch railing. There were some giant white canopies and white tables and chairs, with candles in the middle of each of them.
There was a happy buzz in the air as Troian and Shay, both in gorgeous white dresses, took their first dance as a married couple, surrounded by smiling friends and family.
"You look so beautiful, Shannon. And I thank my lucky stars every single day that we both got our roles on PLL and were able to meet each other. Being with you has been the most amazing and rewarding time of my life and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." Troian said softly into Shay's ear as they swayed together on the dance floor, their faces resting closely together.
"You look so gorgeous, T. And I am so thankful every day that we chose each other and that we were able to get married and now my wife and I can live in our house and really start our family. I love you so much, Troian."
"I love you too, honey." Troian whispered, tears faintly in the both of their eyes at a dream that they thought might never happen.
The tanned beauty pulled her head back slightly in order to look into her wife's eyes, causing her to smile so brightly before she leaned in to kiss her softly, completely forgetting about their audience until they heard heavy applause.
After their first dance was done, everyone else joined them on the dance floor with bright smiles, purposefully dancing near them to congratulate them before making room for others to do the same.
"So, how does it feel to be a married woman?" Troian whispered in her now-wife's ear, causing the raven-haired woman to smile even bigger than she had been.
"Better than I ever dreamed of. You are the best wife ever and I can't wait until we get to spend our first night of marriage in our new house, and then the rest of our lives together." Shay said honestly as she leaned in for a quick kiss, smiling as Troian smiled back happily.
Over the past few months, the girls had been house searching like crazy and managed to find a beautiful, two-story house within a close distance to an elementary school, middle school, and high school. It was a little further away from the WB lot, but they decided that it was worth it for the location.
It was a 4-bedroom, 2.5 bath, with a pool and a large backyard. The girls had been working on it when they had days off from filming. They painted every room, redid some of the carpet, furnished everything, planted some gorgeous trees and flowers in the back and front yards and basically fixed it all up.
As of a week ago, it was completely ready to be inhabited by the two of them, and ready to get them started with their lives as a newly married couple. They had managed to meet a few of the neighbors, most had kids, and they were somewhat surprised to see that there were some other people from the industry living near them.
Even though the house had been ready for a week, they decided to hold off on spending a night there until their wedding night in order to start everything off on a new foot.
Everything was moved out of Troian's house two days before, and she stayed with her best friend the night before, while Shay stayed at her house with Michaela. She had moved all of her belongings out and one of her and Michaela's friends was actually going to be moving in in a few short weeks. Troian's house had been officially sold and new owners had been given the keys a few days earlier.
"I'm so glad we got married here, T. It's so beautiful, even better than I expected." Shay said as she looked around Troian's dad's backyard with a huge smile.
"It's pretty great, don't you think? I just can't believe that we're married though. This all feels like such a dream."
"Well, if it is a dream, don't wake me up because I want to live like this forever." Shay said quietly, her head resting on Troian's shoulder as they continued to sway to the music.
"And tomorrow we are off to the land of your people for two weeks." Troian said with a smirk.
"Half of my people." Shay said with a grin as she kissed Troian again.
After much research and conversation about where they were going to honeymoon, they decided to go to Scotland and travel throughout the country over a two-week span. They had thought about somewhere where they'd be in bikinis constantly, but they decided to head to the incredibly beautiful country of Scotland to do some exploring.
"Whatever you say, Mrs. Bellisario." Troian said huskily as Shay automatically broke into an enormous smile.
"Say it again." The raven-haired beauty said softly, smiling at Troian, who had kept eye contact with her this whole time.
"You're looking so incredibly beautiful in that wedding dress, Mrs. Bellisario." Troian said, leaning in to kiss her wife.
"That sounds incredible." Shay said after she broke their kiss, only to lean back in and kiss the brunette again.
"I should hope so, Mrs. Bellisario, you are stuck with it now, aren't you?"
"You're damn right, I am." Shay said with a laugh as Troian grinned happily.
"I was lucky enough to know about Troian and Shay before even Shay knew." Lucy started off her speech as everyone chuckled. "Sure, I'd seen the signs that our lovely Troian was crushing on our resident kind-hearted model, but I didn't know just how deep Troian was in until we went out one night and I asked her about it. And then all of the sudden, here she was, the toughest girl I know, spilling her heart to me and trying to convince herself that there was no way Shay would ever be interested in her, which I knew was completely false because I'd seen the way that Shay would look at T when she thought no one was looking.
The thing about being on set with these girls all day is that there is so much time to learn and observe and get to know people and grow closer." The little brunette continued. "And seeing the two of them together, just watching them be, is so heartwarming and amazing. I remember when they used to be great friends, but watching them take the next steps in their relationship, I got to see first hand how much their love for each other grew and that is something amazing to see. So I wish you both the best, I love you an infinite amount, and I know that you two will continue to flourish together. To Troian and Shay." Lucy said, raising her champagne flute as her voice cracked slightly.
Everyone toasted and then Lucy ran over to Troian and Shay and gave them both enormous hugs, smiling as they whispered kind things to her.
"Alright, well I don't know where Luce pulled that speech from, but apparently I should've gone first." Ashley said dryly, with a huge smile on her face. "The first time I saw Troian and Shay acting couply, I had walked into Troian's trailer. Now, I was walking in to ask if she wanted to try out this new prank idea with me and ended up just standing in the doorway stunned. I, of course, snapped a quick picture of these two kissing each other on Troian's couch. I did a victory scream in my head before I leaned heavily against the door and they heard me, and I watched these two quickly jump apart from each other. And you want to know what their explanation was? Troian wanted to practice a big make out scene for Spencer and Toby's characters, even though I'd already been told everything by Shay and knew that they were dating. But the great thing about these two is that they don't judge each other, or us, and they take care of each other and support each other. And that day, I actually saw our resident genius flustered and she didn't know how to explain that, and that's a big deal that she lets us see her in that light. So, here's to Troian and Shay; Shay, I hope you will always be T's Toby." Ashley said with a laugh as everyone chuckled and toasted to the couple.
Around 1am, everyone had started saying their goodbyes because they all had to be up at a reasonable time the next day and had already had a long day. After getting great hugs and goodbyes from everyone there, Shay and Troian said goodbyes to their parents and promised to email them once they made it to Scotland safely the next day.
The girls were piled into a town car and were driven to their new house, where the porch light was on and waiting for them to start their new journey in their brand new home.
The girls thanked the driver and Troian pulled out her key and handed it to her new wife once they made it up their walkway, a tired smile on her face.
"Would you like to do the honors?" She asked as Shay smiled happily, kissing her cheek and quickly turning the key in the lock.
The tanned woman was about to open the door and walk through when Troian grabbed her hand, pulling her back to her.
"I know we may not be traditional in most ways, but this is where I don't want to stray from tradition." The brunette said, leaning in and using all of her strength to pick up Shay, who was about the same size as her.
Shay laughed happily as Troian carried her over the threshold and then set her down lovingly, placing a kiss to her lips.
Troian continued smiling as she reached around Shay and took the key out of the door, and then shut and locked the door before placing the key and her wallet and phone on the table by the door.
"What do you say we get out of these dresses now?" Troian asked softly.
"That sounds like a great idea, Mrs. Bellisario." Shay said happily as she grabbed Troian's hand and slowly walked her upstairs to their new bedroom, smiling the whole way.
The girls smiled happily and lovingly at each other, still in awe of the person that they had met and married, ecstatic at how well everything had gone in their love lives, and how well it would continue on as long as they were together.
I can't even express how great you have all been during this story and how much your support has meant to me. I'm so so so sorry that I took so long to finish it, but I just lost my writing motivation for a while there and I'm still trying to get it back. But thank you again for everything; it means the world. I hope you enjoyed the final chapter!
