Well, I got bored and wrote this. Just a shift in Pov from Aladar the Zangoose in Tale of a Green Zangoose to Rotor the Samurott.

Pokemon isn't mine, or there would be more homosexual romance in the series.

Anyway...

It was exactly Midnight, the storm outside was raging, and the house was silent when a Samurott was laying on his couch, trying to get some sleep, but failing miserably due to the thoughts running in his head.

This Samurott was named Rotor, a former member of a criminal group known as the Anti-Blades. He had just gotten bailed out of prison by a Blaziken named Kicks, which was whose house he was at now.

He loves me like a brother…

Those words were sealed into the Samurott's mind.

Those words belonged to a Zangoose by the name of Aladar; the son of Kicks, and the one who Rotor loved dearly.

Like a brother… Is that all I mean to you?

Knowing that sleep wouldn't come to him, Rotor removed the covers that were on him, and got up from the couch that he was laying on to find something that would keep his mind off of the matter that was bugging him.

Lighting a candle and grabbing one of books from the bookshelf next to him at random, the sea lion engrossed himself in a small children's book that he had read a few years ago.

I remember this book. He thought as he opened to the first page. This is one of those books that I was surprised when it got published.

Despite the book being for kids, it was a small tale about a Zangoose and a Charmander, both male, and were little kids going on their typical adventure.

"Little did they know, the Zangoose would be captured by an evil Gengar, and the Charmander would set out on a quest to rescue his friend." Rotor read and turned to the next page. "I swear to Arceus that I will save you! Ember shouted and raised his small wooden sword."

Rotor chuckled as he continued to read.

"Everyone in the village laughed at the fact that the little salamander was going to climb the largest mountain to save his friend. A rescue party was formed by some of the village warriors, but Ember wasn't allowed to go because he was too small and young." He read and turned the page. "I won't just sit here and do nothing. Ember said and raised his sword again. I'm going to save the one that I love!"

"Doing a little evening reading?"

The voice that came out of nowhere caused the Samurott to quickly shut the book. He also blushed when he saw Kicks beside him chuckling.

"It's good to see someone of your age reading such an advanced book." The Blaziken said and sat besides him. "Can't sleep?"

"Yup," Rotor replied. "Didn't expect you to own a copy of this book, I remember when it came out a few years ago."

The Kid's book was called Ember and Cut, and the thing that made this book so special was that the ending of the book showed Cut the Zangoose giving a kiss to Ember on the cheek. There was a few lawsuits about the book being for kids due to the slight homosexual moment at the end, but the author and a few homosexual communities were able to win most of the lawsuits against them.

Rotor was wondering why Kicks had a copy.

"That was Leaf's favorite book as a child." The Blaziken said with a small sigh. "He practically begged me to get the book, and couldn't have said no. After that, I pretty much knew that he would be into men when he grew up, even if he never showed it."

The Samurott couldn't help but feel envious of Leaf and Aladar, having a parent who accepted their sexuality. His parents threw him out of the house as soon as they found out about him.

I guess that's how I made my way to the Anti-Blades. He thought with a small sigh. "Aladar and Leaf are lucky to have you as a father; mine wasn't really so accepting of me."

Though he regretted nothing, Rotor couldn't help but think of how things would have been if he had kept his secret better.

His thoughts were interrupted when he felt Kicks' hand on his shoulder.

"You like him, don't you?" The Blaziken said.

"How'd you find out?" Rotor replied with a sad chuckle. And are you alright with it?

"That look that you made after Aladar said he loved you like a brother? Yeah, that kinda gave it away." Kicks said with a smile. "I can tell that he cares about you, and that you care a lot about him."

To say that Rotor cared about Aladar would be an understatement. Aladar was the reason why he was able to pull away from crime, the reason he got out of prison, and the reason why Leaf couldn't hurt him anymore.

He wanted nothing more than to repay the favor; to be the one to help him out and keep him safe from whatever perils lied ahead.

"I'll be honest with you." The Blaziken beside him said, breaking the Samurott from his thoughts again. "If it was five years ago, I probably would have thrown you out of the house. I used to be pretty overprotective of Leaf, and there was this guy who liked my son, and was one of my old students."

"Michael." Rotor interrupted. "I know this story. He told me that you two got into a fight, and he wasn't allowed to be near you or Leaf anymore."

A lot of the Anti-Blades knew this story. Leaf being the only shiny at the Anti-Blades besides Tocaro, his history wasn't too much of a secret there.

Rotor did feel bad though; Aladar had told him that they needed to keep any knowledge about Leaf away from Kicks, so a lie about how Tocaro was keeping Leaf personally hostage was told, and that not a lot of people knew where Leaf actually was, was told to the Blaziken father.

"Michael is a good guy, and he really didn't have any intention of doing anything to Leaf, even he was an Anti-Blade." Rotor said. "He and Aladar hit it off pretty well I'll admit. I would have never guessed how one artificial Zangoose could turn so many people in the right direction."

From what Aladar told him; a lot of his old friends were working with Team Magma now, and that things were looking up for them.

"I know that I could never turn back time, but it's times like this where I can accept the fact that Leaf was taken away from me."

Rotor turned his head back into the direction of the Blaziken.

"It might sound horrible, but losing something precious leads to life lessons sometimes." Kicks stated with a sad chuckle. "But whether one can endure it is another factor. I'm not going to go on about how much I have lost or anything, not anymore."

Kicks then let out a sigh.

"Trust is important, and I trust you." He said. "I'm fine with you liking Aladar, and if he chooses for you to become his mate, then I'll be there to support you, same goes even if he doesn't."

A serious but friendly look formed on Kicks' face.

"But I only want one thing from you, and that's to keep him safe. I don't know what I would do if I had lost him like I did Leaf."

Rotor could never feel the pain that Kicks had endured through his life, but he was sure that he wouldn't be the only one who would hurt if anything happened to Aladar.

"You don't need to worry." The Samurott finally said. "I would give my life for him; he means a lot to us, and I don't plan on letting anyone take him from us. Not like they did with Leaf."

After that conversation, Rotor and Kicks talked about various subjects and shared a few laughs, and before they knew it, it was around three in the morning, and Rotor was finally getting sleepy.

"Well, I think I'm going to hit the hay now." The Samurott said with a yawn and a stretch. "Still doesn't look like that storm is going to end anytime soon."

Knowing about the Team Aqua plans from Aladar, he was a little worried, but wouldn't let it get to him.

"Alright then." Kicks replied and stretched himself. "Feel free to sleep in, it's not like we're doing anything anytime soon."

With that, Rotor watched as the older male got up and made his way to the stairs.

"Good night Rotor." He said and went upstairs.

"Good night." The Samurott replied.

Getting back underneath the covers on the couch, Rotor let his eyelids droop and his mind roam thoughts of the one he loved.

Aladar…
