Chapter 8 Speedy Trouble and Rocky Relations
Davis and Volt were alone in the park sitting on the swings after getting done with a full day's worth of training and they were just sitting around.
"Man Im bored." Volt sighed.
"I hear ya pal. I dont know what we could do." Davis huffed.
"Hey can we try one of those two spells?" Volt asked looking at Davis.
"I guess so. I mean we have'nt seen what they can do." Davis said taking out the book from his pack with his right hand then opened up the book. "Ok lets see about the fourth spell."
"Alrighty then." Volt said jumping of the swing.
"The fourth spell Bikerdor!" Davis shouted.
Volt opened his mouth and fired a ball of blue electrical energy as it floated in front of him.
"This is Bikerdor?" Davis asked confused.
"What's this little thing suppose to do?" Volt asked.
Volt then poked it with his right finger but then his body got covered in blue static as he felt funny next thing he knew Volt went flying back to the swings and got stuck to the top of the swings on the pole.
"I think Bikerdor is an immobilizing spell. Whatever that ball hits becomes supercharged and magnetizes it to any metal surface." Davis said getting off the swing. "As it looks like anyway."
"So when can I get down?" Volt asked.
"We'll have to wait and see." Davis said looking at him.
They waited for about seven minutes til Volt fell down and landed on his feet.
"So time limit is seven minutes." Volt said standing up.
"This spell could be helpful to us." Davis said putting the book back in his pack.
Suddenly Volt's stomach growled.
"Hey Davis Im hungry, can we get something to eat?"
"I dont see why not. Lets go into the city there may be a food stand we can munch on."
Davis and Volt left the park and into the city.

In the city were two figure riding around in a taxi when it stopped and they got out we got a look at them they were a black man with white hair and yellow eyes wearing a pink short sleeved shirt, gray pants, and blue shoes, holding a sky blue book in his right hand and beside him was someone in blue armor.
"You think there's anyone around here worth fighting for Sonic the Rinkmon?" The guy asked.
"Dont worry Paul. Im sure we'll find someone here." The guy in armor said.
"Hey either one of you gonna pay the fee?" The cab driver asked.
"Oh shut the hell up!" Paul shouted opening up the book. "Slaygor!"
Sonic's right arm blade glowed white and he turned around slashing the hood of the taxi right off scaring the driver as he drove off.
"We dont have to lower ourselves scaring weak fools. Even if it is fun." Sonic chuckled.
"Well lets go find our next victim." Paul said as he and Sonic walked off in the street.

Davis and Volt were sitting on a street bench munching on chili dogs.
"AH! Chili dogs is life's good fuel!" Volt smiled.
"You got that right! Its the food of the gods!" Davis laughed.
As Volt ate the rest of his chili dog he felt a Digimon close by making him turn his head to the left and saw Paul and Sonic across the street looking around.
"Um Davis?" Volt said getting his attention.
"What's up Volt?" Davis asked then looked into the direction Volt was looking in and saw the book, then Paul and Sonic. "A Digimon."
It was then that Sonic saw Volt and he smirked.
"I found us another victim Paul." Sonic said getting Paul to look at him as Sonic pointed with his left finger at Volt with Paul following at saw them.
"Shit, they see us." Volt growled with Davis finishing the rest of his chili dog.
"And something tells me they're looking for a fight." Davis said as he and Volt got up.
"Lets play with them first then we'll burn their book." Paul chuckled opening up the book glowing. "Razind!"
Sonic's hands glowed white and he moved his hands forward blowing hard winds as well as white energy slashes going everywhere.
"Volt we gotta take this somewhere else where people wont get hurt!" Davis shouted bringing his left arm over his face.
"Your right! Since they're after us Im sure if we run they'll follow!" Volt shouted.
Davis and Volt ran to the right across the street and away from Paul and Sonic with them running after them, Davis then saw an abandon wearhouse with a water tower on top of it.
"Volt over there!" Davis shouted pointing to the wearhouse.
"Got it!" Volt shouted as they made their way to the wearhouse.

Davis and Volt were in a empty room with stairs there waiting for Paul and Sonic.
"If we get into trouble here, we got the water tower on top to help us out." Davis said.
"So just Volker and Liruk." Volt said.
"Razind!"
Davis and Volt jumped and rolled out the way of the wind slash attack and saw Paul and Sonic walking in grinning.
"Got nowhere else to run." Paul said.
"So now you'll have to fight us." Sonic said.
"Fine then." Davis said taking out his book.
"Bring it on." Volt said getting ready.
"Razind!" Paul shouted.
"Volker!" Davis shouted.
Volt and Sonic fired their attacks hitting dead center canceling one another.
Volt then ran up to Sonic jumped up and kicked Sonic in the head with his left leg but Sonic blocked with his right arm then went to punch with his left fist but Volt put his right foot on it and jumped to Sonic and headbutted him in the face making him stumble back.
"This little guy's good." Sonic said.
"Yeah but we're better." Paul smirked. "Speeruk!"
Sonic started moving superfast and ran at Volt that he could barely see him.
"Liruk!" Davis shouted.
Volt disappeared in a flash of blue lightning as Sonic ran right past him of where Volt was as he then reappeared 10 feet away.
"A teleportation spell? Impressive, but not impressive enough!" Sonic smirked as he run around rushed at Volt and slam his left fist in Volt's gut making him go up in the air then punch him in the face with his right fist knocking Volt down but then he backflipped and landed on his feet skidding to a stop against a wall with Sonic comming right at him.
"Volker!" Davis shouted.
Volt fired his attack but Sonic dodged jumping to the left then ran right back at Volt.
"Liruk!" Davis shouted.
Volt vanished from Sonic's left punch and reappeared right in front of Davis as he was near the stairs.
"His speed is incredible, we cant fight them like this. Time to go to plan b Volt." Davis said.
"Alright Davis." Volt said.
They both turned around and ran up the stairs til they reach the top and saw the water tower that was there for their plan to work.
"Ok then Volt get ready to trap them and win this." Davis said as they ran to the edge.
"Im ready Davis." Volt said as they turned around seeing Paul and Sonic come up.
"How about you guys just give up." Sonic smirked.
"You know you cant win." Paul chuckled.
"Fuck you!" Davis and Volt smirked flipping them off with their right fingers.
"Why you!" Sonic growled.
"Speeruk!" Paul shouted.
Sonic rushed at them intending on beating the crap out of them, as he came nearer and nearer Davis and Volt were waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
Which was now.
"Bikerdor!" Davis shouted.
Volt fired his ball of blue electricity as it hit Sonc in the chest making his body covered in blue static then he went flying backwards into the water tower as pipes and nails flew to him and got stuck on his body.
"What is this?! I cant move!" Sonic shouted.
"Seepruk!" Paul shouted but no matter how much he used it Sonic was stuck in place.
"It wont work. Bikerdor magnetizes and immobilizes anything it hits to any metal surface." Volt smiled.
"The water tower!" Paul shouted.
"You lured us here!" Sonic shouted.
"That we did." Volt smirked.
"Now then, will you be so kind as to hand over the book?" Davis asked.
"No way brat!" Paul shouted. "Razind!"
Sonic's hand glowed but due to him being stuck to the water tower he could'nt move them.
"What part of immoblilize do you not understand?" Volt asked as if Paul was stupid he then sighed. "Oh well then. Davis would you mind?"
"I'd be happy to oblige." Davis said. "Volker!"
Volt fired his attack into Paul hitting him and the book as it burned and Sonic disappeared with Paul running away from Davis and Volt.
"Well that was fun." Davis smiled closing the book.
"And defiantly not boring." Volt smirked.
They both ending up laughing after that.

It was the next day and Volt was at the park sitting on top of the monkey bars as Naomi was at the bottom driving her car around it not wanting to let Volt come down.
"This girl is so annoying! What I would'nt do to Volker her right now." Volt thought putting his right hand under his chin and looked up the sky. "But if I let her 'torment' me she'll leave me alone." Volt thought knowing Naomi could never really torment him.
Away from them Davis was sitting on a bench watching the whole thing unfold.
"This girl obviously likes to 'torment' Volt just cause she can. And here I thought some of the Digimon we fight were bad." Davis thought putting his arms on his knees.
Just then someone came up behind Naomi.
"Hey you should'nt be picking on someone. Its wrong." Said a male voice.
"Yeah? Saids who?" Naomi looked behind her and seeing a very tall and mucsular tan man with green short hair and brown eyes wearing a tight red and blue striped short sleeved shirt, black pants, and brown boots. "EEEEEEEK!" Naomi shouted and drove off scared of the giant man.
"Whoa! Talk about big." Volt and Davis thought seeing the guy.
"You ok?" The guy asked.
"Yeah Im fine. Thanks." Volt said jumping down.
"Anytime." The guy smiled rubbing Volt's head then walked off as Davis came up to Volt.
"Someone must eat alot of fiber." Davis said.
"You can that again." Volt said.
They saw the guy walked to the end of the park and stopped to talk to a mini look like bear made of rocks holding a light gray book in his right arm.
"You ready Shaun?" It asked.
"Yeah, lets go Ock the Gotsumon." The guy said.
They walked off with Davis and Volt watching them go.
"Volt." Davis said.
"Yeah, I felt him earlier. That's a Digimon alright." Volt said.
"We should probably follow them."
"I was thinking the same thing."

Davis and Volt followed Shaun and Ock around all day and they saw Shaun was a pretty ok guy they saw him pick up trash, helping old ladies cross the streets, helping kids everywhere he went he was really a nice guy.
"So we've been following this guy all day long and he seems ok with me." Volt said.
"Yeah I dont see anything bad about him." Davis said.
They followed Shaun to an elementary school where he was looking at kids playing an such as Davis and Volt were hiding behind a bush.
"Was'nt this place where you got hurt alot Shaun?" Ock asked.
"Yeah it was where I was bullied cause I was slow at learning." Shaun said.
"Lets destroy it." Ock said.
"What? Why?" Shaun asked looking at Ock.
"Cause this place caused you pain." Ock looked at Shaun. "Didn't you say you wanted to be a man your mother does'nt want to worry about?"
"W-Well yes I did."
"Then destroying places that hurt you is a way to start."
"I guess. But lets destroy it tomorrow."
"Alright then."
As they walked off Davis and Volt heard everything.
"Looks like I know what we're doing tomorrow." Davis said.
"Davis you go. There's something I want to find out." Volt said.
Not staying to explain Volt rushed off after Shaun and Ock and jumped from building to building following them.

That night Shaun was in his room looking at a picture of his mom.
"Mom. Im gonna finally be a man you dont have to worry about. Im gonna make you proud." Shaun smiled.
In another room beside him was Ock leaning his back against the wall chuckling.
"What a stupid mindless human I've been put to partner up with. All I gotta do is keep saying things like his momma wants him to be strong and I'll be the Digimon King in no time." Ock sneered laughing evily. "Humans are so weak an easy to manipulate."
Outside of the house was Volt who was sitting in a tree heared all of this and was'nt happy about it one bit as his mantle blew behind him with a light blue aura covering his body as Volt gritted his teeth showing they were sharp, eyes slitted, and growling in anger.

Back at Davis' home he was lying down in his bed.
"I wonder what Volt wanted to check on those guys? More importantly why did that guy want to destroy the school tomorrow?" Davis thought, he then looked at his calendar over his head when he saw it Davis shot up and turned his head to look at it.
"Tomorrow is Saturday! The school will be closed! That guy didn't want anyone there to get hurt." Davis said.
Hearing his door open Davis looked at it seeing Volt walk in.
"So what did you find out?" Davis asked.
"Something that's totally fucked up." Volt said.

Early in the morning Shaun and Ock arrived at the school ready to tear it down as Shaun had his book in his left hand.
"Ready Shaun?" Ock asked.
"I guess so." Shaun said.
"Im afraid we're gonna have to stop you." Shaun and Ock looked to the right to see Daivs and Volt standing there as Davis' right hand had his book.
"We're not gonna let you destory this school." Volt said.
"Well looks like we got ourselves another Digimon." Ock smirked.
"Ock I know that one." Shaun said pointing at Volt. "He's nice and friendly."
"So what he and his friend are standing in our way." Ock looked at Shaun. "Dont you wanna keep your oath to your mom?"
"I'll stand up so you dont have to worry about me." Shaun said thinking of his mom as he opened the spellbook with Davis and Volt getting ready for battle.
"Rodam!" Shaun shouted.
Ock stomped his feet on the ground as two walls made of rocks came on both sides of Davis and Volt and smashed into them creating smoke.
"Ha! That was easy!" Ock said.
"Check yourself!" When the smoke cleared Volt was holding the two rock walls with both of his hands protecting him and Davis.
"Volker!" Davis shouted.
Volt's eyes going white fired blue lightning from his mouth hitting Shaun and Ock knocking them back as they skidded on their feet.
"Liruk!" Davis shouted touching Volt's head.
They disappeared in a flash of blue lightning with Ock's Rodam colloasping turning into a pile of rocks as Davis and Volt reappeared 10 feet away from it.
"Shaun aim for the human if we get him we can win." Ock ordered.
"Like I'll let that happen!" Volt shouted charging at Ock.
"Volker!" Davis shouted.
Volt skidded to a stop and fired his attack at Ock.
"Quick Shaun a spell!" Ock shouted.
"Rockosion!" Shaun shouted.
Ock slammed his hands into the ground sending 2 rocky shockwaves one at Volt's attack as they cancelled each other and the other at Davis, but he jumped over it flipped then landed on his right leg and left knee as Volt jumped back to Davis.
"That human dodged my attack!" Ock shouted surprised.
Shaun was nervous about how Davis and Volt were acting through the battle.
"Go Volt!" Davis said pointing at Ock.
Volt ran towards Ock again this time much faster.
"Groudo!" Shaun shouted.
Ock punched the ground and four rock spikes came out the ground and rushed at Volt.
"Liruk! Liruk!" Davis shouted.
Volt flashed twice dodging the two rock spikes then he jumped on the last two and pushed himself at Ock.
"Shaun another spell, quick!" Ock shouted.
"Rocksen!" Shaun shouted.
Two rock like cannons come out of the ground and fired two giant boulders at Volt.
"Zashield!" Davis shouted.
Volt stopped himself opened his mouth and Zashield came out of the ground. The boulders bit the shield got supercharged and were sent back hitting Shaun and Ock but the book remained intact.
"I tried to be the kind of man my mom does'nt have to worry about, but why am I getting beat? Why do those guys seem much stronger?" Shaun asked as he got up sitting up.
"Do you really think by destroying your old school you'll become the kind of man your mom wanted from you?" Volt asked walking up to Shaun.
"But that school is a bad place. I must destroy it." Shaun said.
"That's what your Digimon wanted you to think and you know it." Davis said walking up next to Volt. "This is'nt the kind of adult your mother wanted you become is it?"
Shaun realized Davis and Volt had a point.
"Shut up!" Ock tried to tackle Davis and Volt but they jumped back as Ock looked at Shaun. "Dont listen to them! Are you just going to put away everything we've been through? Just do what I tell you if you want to win this battle. Otherwise your mother would be upset with you."
"My momma." Shaun whispered.
"That's right Im the only person you listen to." Ock smirked. "Im smarter than you so why would I let you do any thinking? Anything I let you do leads to trouble."
"That's enough outta you!" Volt shouted making Ock turn around and look at him.
"You twisted the poor guys mind so much to do what you want! Its your kind that make me sick!" Davis growled.
Shaun slowly began to realize that the kind of person his mother wanted him to be was like kind Davis and Volt are.
"I can see someone see's the light." Davis smiled noticing the look on Shaun's face.
"Just throw the book away. Your good just the way you are." Volt smiled.
"Thanks but.." Shaun rose up on his feet. "I cant give you this book." Shaun said surprising Davis and Volt.
"Ha! I brainwashed him so good he probably think I'm his momma by now!" Ock laughed.
Shaun punched his right fist near Ock scaring him.
"Your not my momma." Shaun said looking at Ock. "Get up." Ock obeyed getting on his feet scared of what Shaun might be doing to him. "Face them." Shaun pointed at Davis and Volt with his right finger as Ock looked at them with Shaun facing them too.
"Now I want you two to understand I now know what my momma meant all those years ago." Shaun said making Davis and Volt listend. "She wanted me to have courage and inner strength just like you guys. That's why I want to try and beat you."
At this Davis and Volt smiled in understanding as both spellbooks glowed brightly.
"Rockpu!" Shaun shouted.
In front of Ock a rocky fist came out the ground and towards Davis and Volt.
"Volker!" Davis shouted.
Volt eyes went white as he opened his mouth and fired his blue lightning attack.
Both attack slammed into one another creating an explosion making smoke cover the whole field when it cleared Davis and Volt were standing but were coughing up a storm.
"*couch* *couch* I think you *cough* put too much *cough* *cough* power into Volker." Volt coughed out.
"*cough* *cough* Sorry *cough* about that." Davis coughed.
They turned to see Shaun walking up to them smiling at the smoke cleared out.
"Here you go." Shaun handed Davis Ock's spellbook .
"What are you doing you fool?!" Ock shouted. "That's not gonna help me become king!"
Volt ran up to Ock and punched him to the ground.
"I've heard enough outta you." Volt said.
"Your evil and tried to deceive me. That book is evil too, so Im getting rid of it." Shaun looked up at the sky seeing the morning sky starting to shine. "And Im done listening to people who try to get me to do evil things." Shaun had tears comming down his face thinking of his mom.

After Ock's book was burned Shaun took Davis and Volt to a graveyard and showed them his mother's grave.
"Your mother's not gonna have to worry about you anymore Shaun." Davis smiled.
"That's right. She now know's you'll be ok." Volt smiled.
"Thank you for all your help Davis and Volt." Shaun smiled at them and gave them a bear hug.
"Easy there big guy!" Davis laughed.
"Your welcome! Your welcome!" Volt chuckled.
Shaun started spinning them around feeling happy as he's ever been.
