Wedding Drama
Well… hear we go… Scene 3! "cheers" I was going to write it up, but then a little idea called "ghost" struck me and wouldn't let me go. (It was a vicious plot bunny- in gnawed away until I begged for mercy… so go and read it! After this one of course… ahem…)
SUPER BIG ASS SPOILERS!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED…
This scene is a flashback scene. Hope it is good!
Scene 3- flashback
(Set in Shigure's kitchen two days before Tohru called Uo. The house is empty bar Tohru and Kyo. The remains of a meal are evident on the table.)
Kyo: (satisfied) Tohru- that was amazing.
(Kyo helps Tohru to clear up the dinner things.)
Tohru: (washing up) Oh I am so glad that you liked it, Kyo-kun. I have never cooked that before, so I was worried that it wouldn't turn out right…
Kyo: (drying up) Tohru- your cooking is always perfect. Honestly, you don't have to worry so much.
(The washing up is done. Kyo looks at Tohru.)
Kyo: But I could really do with something else…
Tohru: (alarmed) Really, Kyo-kun? That dinner was really big!
Kyo: (sheepishly) Well, yeah… I know… but I could just do with some rice balls… will you make them with me?
Tohru: (happy that Kyo asked her to make rice balls with him) Oh! Ok Kyo-kun! Together, we will make the best rice balls the world has ever seen!
(Tohru runs around the kitchen getting all of the necessary things together.)
(They start to make rice balls, but Kyo is really secretive about his.)
Tohru: (attempting to look) What rice ball are you making Kyo-kun? Is it a special one?
Kyo: (hiding his rice ball away from Tohru) (mock serious) Yes, Tohru-kun, this is a very special rice ball, and you can't see it until I say you can!
Tohru: (smiling) Oh ok Kyo-kun, if you say so… oh look! Cat-san!
(Tohru holds up a cat shaped rice ball. Kyo smiles at it.)
Kyo: You always did like cats…
Tohru: (beaming) Yes! That is me! Year of the cat fan club! Cats are so warm and sweet and cute-
Kyo: (interjects) and loud and obnoxious and hurtful and stupid-
Tohru: (louder than Kyo) and friendly and loving and funny and-
Kyo: (suddenly very serious) Tohru.
(Tohru looks at Kyo, alarmed in his sudden change in demeanour.)
Tohru: (worried) Kyo-kun, are you all right?
Kyo: (nodding) Yes I'm fine… will you come and sit with me for a minute?
(They go and sit at the dinner table.)
(Kyo takes hold of Tohru's left hand.)
Kyo: (nervously) Tohru… We love each other, right? Even though we had a shaky start, and I nearly blew the entire thing-
Tohru: (alarmed) But that wasn't your fault! You were just doing what you thought was best at the time-
Kyo: (overrides her) The point is- we are together now right? Together. Which, to be honest, is all that I ever wanted from the beginning…
Tohru: (at a loss as to what to say)…
Kyo: (emotional) You didn't look down on me! I didn't disgust you; you showed me that you still wanted to be near me- even after seeing my true form… you helped me change into a half decent human being. I'm not the stupid cat anymore.
Tohru: (gently) The cat was never stupid…
Kyo: (smiling slightly) well, you never thought so… Anyway, what I'm tying to say is: I live for you and only you. I- I love you so much…
(Kyo gets onto one knee and holds out his rice ball. Sticking out of it is a silver engagement ring)
Kyo: Honda Tohru, will you do me the honour of making me the happiest guy alive, and marry me? Even though I probably don't deserve you…
(Kyo searches Tohru's face for any signs of her reply. Tohru beams happily and flings herself at Kyo, hugging him tightly.)
Tohru: (loudly and excitedly) Yes! Yes yes yes yes yes! Oh Kyo-kun, of course I will!
(Kyo hugs Tohru even tighter and buries his head in her neck)
Kyo: (whispers) Can I put the ring on your finger now?
(Tohru lets Kyo go, and holds out her ring finger.)
(Kyo slips the ring on to her finger. It fits perfectly.)
(Tohru beams down at it, her eyes slowly filling up with tears.)
Tohru: (wiping her tears) Oh I am so happy!
(Kyo leans in and whispers in her ear)
Kyo: (whispering) I am going to try and make you happier…
(Tohru blushes, knowing exactly what he meant)
Tohru: (whispering) Kyo-kun!
(Kyo grins, and kisses her)

Well, there you go! Scene 3! And just to clear any confusion up, this is set after the curse has been lifted in the manga. :D that was the spoiler by the way… I thought I would warn you, because if I was reading something with as big a spoiler as the curse being broken, and there was no warning, I would go on a huge rampage, splurging everyone with my splurge gun (Bugsy malone style hehe…) Of course, I try to refrain from reading fanfiction if I haven't read or watched the entire of the original work… but sometimes my halo slips… ;)
