Chapter 16 The Foxy Digimon
At a beach near a cliff we see Davis without his jacket on and Volt staring at the ocean with Kari without her vest on and Anna sitting on a towel looking at them.
"Im ready Davis." Volt said.
"Ok then." Davis said opening the book. "The seventh spell Zanen Volkerga!"
As Davis shouted and Volt got ready nothing happend for two mintues confusing them.
"What happend?" Volt asked turning to Davis.
"I dont know. Maybe I didn't put enough power in it." Davis said as he and Volt tried five more time but got the same result.
Nothing.
"Augh! This is ridiculous!" Volt gripped flailing his arms around.
"Maybe we're missing something." Davis sighed losing the book.
"Why dont you guys take a break?" Kari suggested.
"Yeah no use in tiring yourselves out." Anna said.
Davis and Volt sighed joining the girls on the towel.
"Still at least we have this beautiful day to enjoy." Kari said leaning back on her arms taking in the rays of the sun.
"Yeah I guess you're right about that." Davis said laying down putting his hands behind his head.
"So for now we just chill." Anna said laying her stomach putting her paws on her face.
"Sound good to me." Volt said crossing his legs with his hands on his knees.
All four sat in complete silence enjoying the nice serene of relaxation.
Until Volt picked up a feeling.
"Im sensing a Digimon nearby." Volt stood up and looked around the area.
"Volt what's wrong?" Anna asked looking at him.
Volt didn't answer her as he extended his senses to find the Digimon until he picked up its signature on the cliff above them, turning around Volt crouched down and jumped up high flying to the cliff.
"He probably senses something." Kari said as she, Davis, and Anna got up.
"Let's check it out." Davis said.
When Volt landed on the cliff he heard humming as he listend he heard it comming from the same direction as the Digimon he was sensing, looking over to the left he saw a humanoid yellow fox wearing purple gloves to its armpits sitting crisscrossed in a meditaion like pose humming away.
Not wanting to come off too rude or too suspicious Volt walked slowly over to the fox until he was 12 feet from it waiting a few seconds til it stopped humming.
"Hello there. I take I caught your attention?" The fox asked sounding female.
"Yeah sorry if I disturbed you. Its just that I sensed a Digimon and wanted to see if it was a threat or not." Volt said.
"I can understand that. In the battle for the Digimon King any Digimon could be a threat so it's safe to cautious." The fox said standing up and looked down at Volt. "I am Krystal the Renamon."
"Nice to meet ya. Im Volt Bell." Volt introduced.
"Volt." Volt and Krystal looked to see Davis, Kari, and Anna run up to them.
"It's ok guy. This one seems cool." Volt reassured.
"I am Krystal." Krystal said.
"Well it's nice to meet you." Davis said.
Just then a shouting was heard making them look to the side to see a 13 year old girl name Rika Nonaka wearing a blue tank top, black shorts that came to her butt and red sandle shoes jumped out of nowhere and tackled Davis to pinning him to the ground with her arms and legs.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?!" Rika yelled.
"Im Davis Motomiya and I came here following my friend!" Davis answered.
"Then why are you ganging up on Krystal!" Rika accused.
"Um Rika these people are'nt hostile." Krystal said.
Rika looked at Krystal for a moment and knew she was telling the truth.
"If you say so." Rika got off Davis and help him up.
"May I ask why you tackled Davis?" Kari asked putting her hands on her hips with a hint of anger at the position she and Davis were in.
"Yeah cause of her." Rika jabbed her right thumb at Krystal. "A Digimon has been after us constanly attacking us."
"Its not like I try to intentionaly Rika." Krystal said.
"Bullshit! Whenever you meditate and do that stupid humming it draws them to us! Y'know what why dont you go somewhere else for awhile." Rika huffed waving her right hand to shoo her off.
"Alright Rika." Krytsal nodded her and walked away from the group as they went under a tree and sat down as Rika pulled out lunch for everyone.
"So I take it that your Krystal's book owner?" Kari asked.
"Yeah." Rika sighed pulling a navy blue book from the picnic basket. "At first it was kinda cool, but now I just want nothing to do with this shit."
"Why's that?" Davis asked.
"It all started when I found Krystal in the small forest of my backyard layed up against the tree injured and unconcious so I took her home with me where my Mom and Grandma healed her. After that she just kinda stayed with us easily blending in with the family and this went on for weeks til one day as me and Krystal were playing hackysack I kicked it too far into the bush, as Krystal went to get it I turned to see her book lying up against the house and it was glowing. I picked it up and looked at it as Krystal came back I found one of her spells and read it causing her to use it on a tree infront of her, after that I thought the whole thing was cool until those damn Digimon started comming after us, the battles started to get bad enough to the point were my Mom and Grandma got caught in the crossfire. After that I've wanted nothing more to do with this whole Digimon King competition." Rika explained.
"Have you been attacked by random Digimon?" Volt asked.
"No all the battle have been the same person after us." Rika huffed biting into a sandwhich.
"What's she doing?" Anna asked as everyone looked at Krystal who was meditating again.
"She claimed that it helps make her stronger and more agil. But that's a load of crap everytime she does that those guys that are after us always come running towards us." Rika said.
Volt got up from where he was sitting and walked towards Krystal as he got near she heard him approaching making Krystal look at Volt.
"Mind if I join you?" Volt asked smiling.
"Sure." Krystal smiled.
"Room for one more?" Anna asked walking up.
"Absolutely." Krystal nodded.
Once Volt and Anna sat beside Krystal they all began meditating with Volt and Anna quickly gettign into it as it cleard their minds.
"I tell ya I just wished she would disappear." Rika said.
"You dont mean that." Kari said.
"Yes I do." Rika countered.
"If you did then why do you still have her around?" Davis asked making Rika quite. "I see the kind of person you are just by looking at you. You're hardcore have a bit of an additude problem and stubborn, but I see you caring for others and not turning your back on anyone. You could've easliy just give Krystal the book and tell her to be on her way but you didn't, know why?"
"I..I.." Rika could'nt find her voice.
"It's cause you love her. You bonded with her on a deep level and dont want to be away because she's an important friend to you." Davis smiled.
"I think Davis is right. Just look at how close we are to Volt and Anna there's no shame in having deep conection to someone important to you." Kari smiled.
Rika took in their words and let a small soft smile come on her face.

On a dirt road we see two people walking down it one was some kind of england man wearing a blue suit and top hat with a big black mustash on his face holding a cane in his left hand and a brown book in his right and beside him was a oversized man wearing black pants, iron boots, chains on both his arms, and a iron mask with wild blue hair sticking out.
"We have been after that fox for awhile now and we still cant find her Maximum the SkullMeramon." The england man said.
"Dont worry Sirgay. We'll find her soon." Maximum grinned.

Back with the gang Davis, Kari, and Riku were chatting up with Volt and Anna beside them.
"Hey Anna I forgot to ask, where did Krystal go to?" Kari asked.
"Dont know she went somewhere to clear her head." Anna said.
Volt expanded his senses to try and find Krystal and located her on the beach but he also picked up another Digimon energy signature and this one was hostile, without a word Volt bolted up and ran towards the beach.
"What's up with him?" Rika asked.
"Trouble." Davis said as everyone got up following him.
When they got to the beach they saw Volt standing a few feet away from what they were seeing, Krytsal all banged up and bruised was huffing and puffing standing away from Sirgay and Maximum who's arms were covered in a purple fire.
"It was pretty stupid of you to draw us towards yourself like usual." Sirgay said smugly.
"This will be the last stupid mistake you'll make." Maximum smirked.
"What's going on?" Anna asked.
"Those are the guys after us." Rika growled. "Why does she always do this. Krystal lures them here and tries to fight them on her own, why?"
"Dont you see Rika, she's doing this all to protect you." Kari said.
"What?" Rika asked surprised.
"Volt told me that Krystal feels bad for you're Mom and Grandma getting hurt and she blames herself. So she's been trying to take them on herself to keep your family safe from harm." Davis said.
Rika looked at Krystal as she dodged another firey punch stunned that she would go so far for her.
Maximum punched Krystal in the gut then uppercutted her in the air making her fall on her back Maximum was going to punch her again but Volt jumped in the way and blocked him with his right hand trying the other fist Maximum punched Volt only for him to blocked using his left forearm, Volt then thrusted his right foot up kicking Maximum under his chin knocking him on his butt skidding back to Sirgay when Volt landed he help Krystal sit up.
"You ok?" Volt asked.
"Yeah thank you." Krystal said getting up.
"You wont be for long!" Maximum shouted standing up.
"Right they wont! Wifire!" Sirgay shouted.
Maximum thrusted his arms forward making some of the chain fall off and he twirled them around sending a twirling firey purple tornado at Volt and Krystal who got themselves ready.
"Volker!" Volt's eyes shinned white opened his mouth and fired blue lightning.
"Stordaimy!" Krystal crossed her arms over her body and spread them apart firing a barrage of diamonds.
All three attacks collided exploding Volt, Krystal, Maximum, and Sirgay looked to see Davis, Rika, Kari, and Anna there glaring at the enemy.
"More victims?" Sirgay asked grinning.
"Great news for us." Maximum chuckled.
"Krystal are you ok?" Rika asked comming towards her.
"Rika I.." Krystal said.
"I'll deal with you acting so selflessly after we take care of them." Rika interrupted smirking at Krystal as she smiled.
"Charsu!" Kari shouted.
"Take this suckers!" Anna yelled jumping in the air and fired her attack nailing Maximum in the chest staggering him back.
"Metam!" Sirgay shouted.
"Feel my power!" Maximum thrusted his left leg out as it turned metal and stretched to Anna.
"Angeshield!" Kari shouted making Anna make her shield to block Maximum's attack only for it to break and shatter as Maximum's foot hit Anna making her fall in the water. "Anna!"
"Now your gonna get it!" Volt roared rushing towards Maximum and kicked him in the chin he twirled around punched him in the face. "Davis!"
"Right! Volkerga!" Davis shouted.
Volt fired his spinning blue lighting attack at Maximum who crossed his arms blocking it.
"Rika we must help Volt take down Maximum!" Krystal said running towards the two.
"Im on it. Daimuruk!" Rika shouted.
Krystal clenched her hands as they turned into diamond fists and rammed them into Maximum's face as she gave him the old one two.
Anna raised herself out of the water soaking wet and she was pretty mad.
"Kari give me a spell now!" Anna growled jumped out the water and rushing towards the battle.
"Charsuga!" Kari shouted.
Anna skidded to a stop infront of Maximum making Volt and Krystal jumped back giving her a clear shot and Anna fired her magneta x turning drill attack slamming in Maximum's gut.
"Sirgay I'm done playing with these little brats." Maximum seethed.
"Agreed. Lets changed tactics and target the owners of their books." Sirgay said with his book glowing more. "Poruk!"
Maximum's fists lit with purple fire and he charged at Davis, Kari and Rika but Volt, Anna, and Krystal got in it way.
"Volker!"
"Charsu!"
"Stordaimy!"
All three fired their attacks as they rocketed to Maximum.
"Ganzu Metam!" Sirgay shouted.
Maximum's whole body turned metal with Volt, Anna, and Krystal's attacks bouncing off him as he punched them all to Davis, Kari, and Rika's feet on their backs as they groaned in pain.
"That armor of his is tough." Rika muttered.
"Then let me and Davis try to bust through it." Kari said.
"Double penetrating spells comming up." Davis said.
"Volkerga!"
"Charsuga!"
Volt and Anna got up and launched their spells but when they hit Maximum's armor they didn't do a thing. Not even leave a stratch.
"This armor is fused with silver digichrome some of the hardest metal in the Digital World." Krystal said.
"That's right now feel my fire!" Maximum threw his chains and made massive fire tornados at the gang Davis, Volt, Kari, and Anna managed to jumped out the way but Rika could'nt get away in time luckily Krystal came in the last minute to try and protect them but the firey attack hit both of them engulfing the two in flames knocking them into the water.
"Rika Krystal no!" Anna yelled.
"That fire engulfed the two of them, it probably hit the book in the process." Kari breathed sadly.
"That's right and now its your turn." Sirgay laughed.
"This is the end for you." Maximum snickered.
However Davis and Volt were'nt laughing infact they were furious with their eyes shadowing as they shook in rage, with rage coursing through them they both started to have a blue aura surround their bodies and it seems to only get stronger.
"What the?" Sirgay and Maximum wondered.
"You will pay for what you did to Rika and Krystal!" Davis shouted glaring at them as he eyes showed intense hatred.
"No one does that to my friends!" Volt roared showing her eyes as they slitted as he bared his sharp teeth.
Davis' book glowed very brightly and Volt's body got replaced from blue aura to blue lightning.
"Now is the time! The seventh spell Zanen Volkerga!" Davis roared.
Still having blue lightning comming from his body Volt's eye shinned white as he shot a larged amount of blue lightning from his mouth straight into the air it spiral around then expanded forming into Imperialdramon Fighter Mode who crossed its arms and flexed them down it then opened its wings and flew them forward firing 9 Volkerga each from its wings slamming into Maximum who's armor cracked and was destroyed leaving him wounded. But it didn't stop there with his eyes shinning more Volt raised up his right hand over his head and flew it down forward following that Zanen Volkerga aka the Imperialdramon Fighter Mode flew straight at Maximum and Sirgay who screamed in terror as the attack engulfed them both also covering the entire area in blue lightning.
When it cleared Sirgay was badly injured laying on his stomach as he groaned getting up he looked to see Maximum was knocked out on his back with his body covered in blood with pieces of his body armor around him and his book was on fired when it burned completely Maximum vanished from sight, Sirgay turned looking at the others to see Kari and Anna giving him angry stares and Davis and Volt still had their hatred glares in place. Feeling frightend for his life Sirgay got up and ran away screaming in terror.
When we was out of sight Davis closed the book as it stopped glowing and Volt's blue lightning vanished from his body with his eyes comming back into view.
"Whoa.." Davis, Volt, Kari, and Anna looked to see Rika with a stunned expression on her face being held by Krystal as they were soaked with a few scratches but otherwise ok.
"Hey you guys are ok." Davis smiled as they came towards them.
"Thank goodness." Kari breathed in relief.
"Tell me about." Rika chuckled softly.
"Um what about your book?" Anna asked uncertainly making everyone go quite, they all looked into the water where they saw the book.
To see it was still intact making them sigh in MAJOR relief falling to their butts or legs.
"That was too close." Volt puffed.
"No kidding." Krystal shook her head.
Raising their heads up they all looked at one another and busted out laughing with Krystal giving a small chuckle.

The day turned to evening as Davis and Volt where at the airport about to board a plan with Jack, Rika, and Krystal seeing them off. Kari and Anna would have been there too but they had to film for a comercial in Florida so they had to go and Tk and Gabrime left for something crazy in Austrailia.
"It was great seeing you again son. Give your mother and sister hugs and kisses for me." Jack said hugging Davis.
"I will Dad." Davis said hugging back.
"It was fun hanging out Volt." Krystal said.
"Sure was. Maybe you guys can pop by Japan sometime." Volt smiled.
"We'll see. Til then you and Davis take care." Rika grinned.
As they finished their goodbyes Davis and Volt got on the plane and saw Jack, Rika, and Krystal waving at them so they waved back, when they were away from the land Davis and Volt relaxed in their seats and dozed off to slumber as they left England and headed back to Japan.
