Lance

Lance's head was pounding as he woke up. The sun was barely over the city's skyline, the sky was going from orange to blue, and Lance's throat felt drier than the Desert of Shattered Time. Oh gods, what happened, he wondered. The last thing he remembered was falling asleep after he had made one of the best Halloween's ever. I have an explanation for that, BB offered. Last night, after you fell asleep, there was an incident involving three dracanae and a wild hellhound. The Rider was the first to notice and took action. Needless to say, everyone had their fill last night. At least Lance now knew why his throat was dry.

Lance looked over to see Kurumi still asleep. Good thing for him, at least no one saw him. Well.., BB trailed off. Lance sighed as he lay back down on his bed. "What did he do?" Lance questioned. He knew the Rider never meant to show off but it was kind of hard not to notice a flaming person riding a bike that was modified by the fires of Hell itself. Went. For. Ride, the Rider strained in his hoarse voice. Lance just closed his eyes and sighed. "I take it you wanted a ride?" The Rider growled in response. "Look, I'm not upset, but just make sure not to freak out too many people, okay?"

With that, Lance decided to get up for real, grabbing his school uniform (uuuugggghhhh.) and changed in the bathroom. He stepped out, cracked his neck, and headed out for breakfast. Checking his watch on the way down the stairs, it was about 6:30 in the morning, another new first for him. Once he reached the bottom of the stairs, Lance headed straight for the chow hall. Not many students were out this Friday morning, which was understandable to Lance. He'd never thought it was possible that he'd be up this early on a Friday morning, but here he was. That and they only had two more days before their actual school days began.

Inside the dining hall Lance saw that there were some people up, but something felt off. Lance could both feel an enormous amount of power (based on the school's standards) and could smell the power in the room. To Lance, it smelt like electricity during a rainstorm, like the ozone smell that Zeus had whenever he entered a room. But this smelt more like pure lightning, and he felt a little tingly. Weird. Am I the only one feeling this, Lance wondered, both to himself and to the beings inside his head.

Surprisingly enough, it was Death who responded first. I sense it as well. An excessively strong aura for mere humans, especially for these so called Espers. If Death thought it was powerful for humans, then it definitely needed to be looked at with some caution. Lance acted casual and headed for the breakfast line, but he had his arm close to his body and pointed his index finger around, trying to get some sort of indication of who might be giving off that amount of power. Lance got his tray, stacked it with his usual food items, and sat down.

As he ate, Lance pointed his finger over to the weirdest mish-mash of students that ever decided to hang out in a group. Milkshake was there, along with six other kids, all of whom looked entirely different than the rest. There was one kid, white hair and slightly pale, with a maniacal look in his eyes, lounging around at the edge of the table and faced away from the rest of the group. Another kid, this one with dirty blonde hair, a somewhat darker complexion than White Hair, and in a maroon colored suit, sat on the edge of the seat. He seemed nice compared to some of the other kids there, but Lance always dealt with people who seemed nice at first.

Person of Interest number 4 had what Lance could only call tea-colored hair, and brown eyes, a fair complexion, seemed to be the tallest of the group. She stood out the most with her freaking posh dress (did he really just use that word?) and her Cinderella-esque (another word he never thought he would say) heels. She sat next to Milkshake and Number 5

Number 5 was no different on the weird scale, but this girl was immediately pegged by Lance as 'popular girl'. Her hair was golden, long, and straight, her eyes were gold with star irises (gods know why), white gloves, same uniform as Milkshake, white stockings, and had the air of someone who always got what they wanted.

Number 6 looked like the most lax guy there, with closed eyes (could he see?) and blue hair. Nothing else stood out much from the guy expect for the fact that he was trying to ogle all the girls at the table.

Lastly, Number 7 looked very much like some martial arts crazies that Lance had met before. This kid had on a shirt with the Japanese Rising Sun, a white bandana wrapped around his head, white uniform. He sat with his back kept straight and his gaze like steel. All of them were there for some reason, but Lance didn't feel like stepping in. He just pulled off an awesome Halloween, he deserved a day off. Finishing off the rest of his breakfast, Lance placed his tray on a nearby cart and headed for the exit doors.

As he walked, Lance noticed out of the corner of his eye that all the students in the group he just saw were looking at him, the blonde one checking him out more so than trying to figure him out. He was halfway to the doors when a woman in a labcoat stepped through. She had long, wazy brown hair, bags under her eyes, and hazel eyes that had the look Lance knew so well: a look of sadness from having lost important people and she felt guilty. She was making a beeline right for Lance.

He didn't miss a beat as he turned on his heel and began to quickly walk for the doors leading deeper into the building. Rule 26 for Lance: If someone starts walking right for you when they enter the building you're in, head in the opposite direction and lose them as quickly as possible. As he walked, the group continuing to stare at him, Lance rubbed his left wrist and 'accidently' brushed his watch. He managed to turn the top dial three clicks and felt the familiar feeling of the Mark of The Outsider appear on his left hand. A very quick glance showed that Milkshake and Numbers 4,5, and 7 grew surprised.

The sound of heels clicking quicker told Lance the lady was trying to keep pace with him, which prompted Lance to go from quickly walking to jogging to actually running. Lance was by no means afraid of the woman or the students that were now getting up and most likely going to help the lady get a hold of him. He was actually thrilled because now he had something to do on his day off. Lance reached the doors well before any of them, then decided on a fantastically brilliant idea.

He opened the door and leaned through, stopping everyone in their tracks. He looked Misaka straight in the eye, smiled, and called, "What's up Milkshake?" Lance closed the door and Blinked outside. Once outside, he just busted out laughing at the thought of Milkshake and everyone else trying to figure out the reason behind his greeting. He laughed for a good two minutes before he heard the door open. By then, he was calming down and stood to face the group with his signature grin. "So, any reason why you're after me?" Lance asked. The lady in the lab coat took a step forward. "You've been giving off enormous amounts of AIM Diffusion Fields." Lance sniffed himself, wondering if he could actually smell it. There was a faint scent of lightning in wet air around him. "I would like to ask you to join the Level 5 group and participate in some studies I'm performing." Lance looked over to Mikoto, seeing her look of determination.

Lance took on his wondering pose (his placed a hand on his chin and looked towards a random direction) and wondered out loud. "Do I really want to join an experiment? It never really worked for me before, especially at that Geneva lab thing." Lance began to pace as he wondered. "But then I'll have something to do today. But at the same time I really don't feel like it." As he paced, Lance began to look for a way to make a quick escape.

As he paced and searched, Lance could feel a curious tickle on his brain. He scratched his head as he asked out loud, "Why does my brain tickle?" He looked over to see the blonde haired girl looking at him with confusion. "Are you trying to mind-control me? Didn't Milkshake here tell you that that schtick doesn't work on me?"

All eyes turned to Milkshake, who began to turn red from embarrassment, and also served as a distraction long enough for Lance to gun it for the nearest building as well as think of another crazy idea that would give him some fun while he was at it.

The nearest building just happened to be the dorms, which Lance was fairly familiar with now. He ducked inside and shot up the stair case, doing his best to avoid the windows to prevent the people from seeing him. When he felt sure that none of his chasers could see him, Lance Blinked to the top of the building.

Outside, Lance felt a light breeze kick in. A quick look showed him Misaka and Blondie were going straight for the dorms that Lance was at the top of. Well at least you get a workout, Order said as Lance just stood where he was. Turns out his Friday was just getting better and better.

Misaka

Misaka had two things on her mind as she and the other Level 5s looked for Lance: how did he manage to get outside from the other side of the dining hall and why did he call out to her? Seriously, it's like he's making this a game, or a workout. Misaka began to wonder just how 'creative' Lance really was. He's said it time and again that he's insane. What Misaka didn't understand is why he repeated himself so much or why he made most serious things he came across a game.

For the short time that she's known Lance, Misaka had come to think that Lance kept repeating he was insane because he was. No sane mind could come up with half the things that appeared at the Halloween. Of course, Misaka also remembered his first arrival here, and how he faced the bank robber. If being the host of something like the Ghost Rider didn't break someone's mind, Misaka didn't know what would.

What really threw her off the most, however, was how tired he looked. Lance could smile and act like an energetic kid, but whenever she looked into his eyes Misaka could see only sadness, fatigue, and something Misaka could only try to imagine. It was like staring into the eyes of a century old and regretful dragon. She wondered just what exactly he had experienced to make him like that.

Her musings were cut short when Misaki yawned. "Honestly, why does this boy have to be so difficult? Being a Level 5 is to be considered the elite among the elite! The popularity alone would be enough to make almost anyone swoon with delight and excitement." Mikoto snorted as they entered the dorms. "I've known Lance for only a few days and so far he's made no intention of gaining popularity. It actually feels like he trying to avoid it."

Misaki gasped and looked at Misaka with complete and utter shock. "Avoid popularity? How absurd! This boy must not have much to hope for if he wants to avoid popularity." If only Misaki knew what Misaka knew…or at least hope she knew. Lance definitely acted like he things to look forward to, but Misaka just couldn't shake the feeling that there was a much darker side to Lance. Sadly, Misaka and Misaki were interrupted by a certain psychopathic boy.

"Man you guys are slow," Lance said from behind the girls. Both girls jumped at the sound of his voice and turned rapidly to face him, but he wasn't there. Misaka could've sworn she heard him behind her. "Uh, guys? What are you looking at?" Lance questioned, once again from behind them and once again causing the girls to jump. Both girls turned again, this time greeted by Lance wearing his school uniform, his silver watch gleaming in the sunlight.

Misaki once again eyed his body, drinking in his every detail. It didn't go unnoticed. "Is there something you want?" Lance questioned rather sharply. Misaki smirked as she looked Lance in the eyes. "Just admiring the view. Why don't you make this easy for us and just come back with us?" She batted her eyes and tried to go for the innocent yet flirty look that reeled in every boy she's met so far. Unsurprisingly to Misaka, Lance just stood there.

He looked to Misaka with a bored look. "Did she really just try to mind-control flirt me?" Lance turned his attention to Misaki. "Okay, because you're new I'm going to give you a couple pieces of advice. 1. Never attack those I love, because it will never end well for you. B. You do not try to steal my watch. Trying to put it on without permission will most definitely kill you. 3. Flirting with me never works, unless you're my girlfriend and since you are nowhere near my girlfriend, don't try it."

Misaki went from flirty to full-blown shocked as Lance was now the only boy to actually deny falling for her. She could only sputter out small syllables she was so astounded. "What- how- wh-uh-" She probably would've gone on longer had Lance not held up a hand to silence her. "Anyway, so how's it hangin' Milkshake?" Misaka shrugged as Lance leaned against the wall. "We have to catch you and bring you in so that you can be persuaded to join the level 5s."

Lance smirked as he yawned. "Yeah, well I really don't feel like doing that. See, I planned on relaxing today, with just a little bit of fun thrown in to make this day awesome and not completely boring." Misaki looked entirely lost as Lance and Misaka chatted. Before Misaka could give a reply, Mugino called out, "I found him! He's in the dorms!" Both Misaka and Misaki looked out the window to see the rest of the level 5s and Dr. Kiyama making their way to the dorms. Misaka looked back to see Lance was gone. No surprise to Misaka. That boy had all sorts of tricks up his sleeve.

Lance

Lance had Blinked to the top of the dorms, watching the rest of the people enter the dorms and no doubt hurry up the stairs as quickly as possible. He smirked as he thought of a way to really make things interesting. If Lance's plan went off without a hitch, he'd have one of the greatest days of his time spent in Academy City. As he made sure that his plan was as sharp as possible, using BB to help with some of the calculations, Lance folded his arms and waited for the others to arrive. As if on cue, the group of students and lady barged through the door.

Lance didn't even bother looking back, his face would've given away his plan. Instead he remained silent and pretended not to notice. "You have nowhere else to go," a boy said from behind his back. BB used voice recognition to match the voice with the boy with the pale complexion, as well as giving Lance the boy's name.

Lance smirked knowingly as he half-turned his head to address them. "That's what you think." he replied before stepping off the building's edge. The moment he was sure they lost sight of him, Lance Blinked as close as he could to the pool. Looking around his surroundings, Lance could see he was just outside the gate. Looking over his shoulder, Lance could see the dorms easily and saw that the group was at the edge of the rooftop looking for where he landed.

BB was on point as he enhanced Lance's vision to Spartan vision, allowing Lance to clearly see everyone. When he saw the kid with the blue hair look right at him, Lance raised his hand and waved. As Lance's vision returned to normal, he hopped the fence to the pool. No one was there yet, which meant that he had some time to put his plan into action.

You know they're going to be exceptionally mad when they found out about your plan, BB commented as Lance stuck his hand into the pool, getting a feel for the chlorinated water. Yeah, but the look on their faces will be worth it.

Accelerator

Accelerator was tired of having to chase this kid down. First he manages to get past them and outside the lunch area, then he waits for them to meet him at the top of the dorms, then he jumps, freaking everyone out until Aogami Piasu noticed the kid by the pool. What really made Accelerator mad was that the kid had the guts to wave at them before hopping the fence into the pool. Now Accelerator ran with the rest of the group to the pool.

When they reached the gate, they had to wait for Dr. Kiyama to find the key to open the gate. As they waited, Accelerator huffed and said, "I don't understand why this kid is being so difficult. He's been asked to join us as a Level 5, but he's just running around like a little kid."

Misaka sighed as she folded her arms. "I've known Lance for only five days, but I've already learned an important lesson from both experience and his family: never expect Lance to act normally. From what I've seen, he acts more like an energetic kid with a short temper." From over the wall, they all heard, "I heard that!" Dr. Kiyama finally found the right key and unlocked the way. They found Lance sitting at the edge of the pool, swinging his feet back and forth in the water. He looked back with a friendly smile. "I was wondering when you guys were going to get in. I was starting to think that the gate was too much for you."

Lance hopped up onto his feet and grew an even bigger grin. "Well, now that we're all here, I have a deal for you guys. See, I was planning on just relaxing today, but that's changed. So instead, I'm going to make my day fun. I'll give you an hour to catch me. If I can go that entire hour without being caught, you guys have to promise to bother me about this Level 5 thing for awhile. If you catch me, I'll stop and immediately join your little project, no questions asked."

With that said, the pool-water formed a staircase that led over the pool's fence. "Time starts now!" Lance informed and sprinted up the stairs and over the wall. Accelerator wasted no time in running after the arrogant punk. Accelerator hasn't lost a race before, and he certainly won't now.

Misaka

Misaka ran after Lance with all her might, trying to keep up with the rest of the group as they chased after Lance. Accelerator was right on his tail, but somehow Lance was managing to avoid Accelerator. It was almost like he just gained the ability of super-speed. Accelerator made a wild lunge at Lance, but Lance made a sharp left turn and avoided Acclerator. Lance didn't slow down as he neared the sidewalk. Instead, he sped up, running right across the street as people began to walk across. "Everyone, split up and find a ride. Misaka, you're with me." Misaka nodded as the group split up.

Misaka followed Dr. Kiyama to a blue Lamborghini and hopped into the passenger seat. Dr. Kiyama sat down in the driver's seat, turned the ignition, and sped off to follow Lance. As they drove, Misaka looked out the window to search for Lance. She looked in all the obvious places a person would hide and in all the places Lance would hide. Just as they stopped at a stop-light, Misaka saw Lance down the street to her right. "Dr. Kiyama, he's that way!" Misaka cried as she pointed in Lance's direction. Dr. Kiyama turned right and made her way through morning traffic to catch up with Lance.

Just as they were pulling up alongside him, Lance made a split second turn and headed into an alleyway, turning left at the intersection. Dr. Kiyama sped the car up and turned right to wait for Lance. They waited for about a minute until a paper airplane slipped in through the window and landed in Misaka's lap.

She opened it up, seeing that it was a note from Lance. All it read was Look up. Misaka looked up at the building's rooftop to see Lance standing there, grinning down at her before throwing what looked like a whip made of water at the ceiling across the street. Lance yanked himself over to the building and continued his run. "This boy is full of surprises," Dr. Kiyama wondered.

Lance

Lance was in the zone as he ran from rooftop to rooftop, using his Water Whip when the spaces were too big for him to jump, he heart pumping in his ears. His training with Garrett, Ezio, and Ada really made him efficient in using the city and its building's to his advantage. Not only that, but running across rooftops made him feel like he had no troubles in life, no terrible nightmares to plague him when he slept.

Lance stopped at the edge of the rooftop overlooking a local park. He crouched down as he watched over the park, watching as the little kids played their games, as the elderly reviewed their lives in the park, as the recently matured discovered themselves. It was peaceful, in a way, watching people do what they did in their daily lives. His musings were interrupted by someone thinking they were being sneaky behind him.

He didn't bother to turn around, that would have ruined the fun. Instead Lance waited for the person to sneak up right behind him and get confident in their abilities. Right as they lunged, Lance pulled a reversal and had them in a full Nelson. He was mildly surprised to see it was the guy in the fancy looking suit who looked nice.

"Trying to sneak up on me never works, kid," Lance told the kid. Said kid said nothing as he struggled with all his might, which wasn't all that much. Of course, Lance started to feel a little tingly as a dark-looking type of matter began to head for the kid. Lance's gut told him something bad was happening, so he let the kid go and Blinked over to the nearest rooftop and ran. Guess relaxing really was out of the equation for the day for him.

Lance used the power of the Darkness and of his Blacklight abilities to find the other level 5s. He got a return pulse from three different locations, one being the kid he just met and two from most likely the other groups. Of course, he had to discern them from the hundreds of other people out and about between them and him.

*Time Lapse*

Misaka

Misaka was panting by the time she reached the top of the building. She had to give it to Lance, he could definitely get around when he wanted to. For the past fifty-five minutes they have been chasing him around the city, and for the past fifty-five minutes he's been making them look like fools. On the rooftop, she could see a good view of the city, including a direct view of Tokiwadi.

On the far edge of the rooftop stood Lance, hands on his hips, staring right at Tokiwadi. "You know, this has been real fun, but I think I'm ready to relax today." Lance turned to face her with a teasing smirk. "But because you're my friend, I'll tell you a good piece of information and give an extra ten minutes to get where you need to be." "What are you talking about?" Misaka managed in between gulps of air.

Her sides hurt, her lungs were on fire, and Misaka was ready to collapse, but she was ready to go a little further to try and beat Lance. Misaka nodded. Lance chuckled once, "Alright. You need to check back at school, because you guys have duped." With that, Misaka saw Lance dissolve into water. She stood stock still as her mind tried to wrap itself around what just happened. She just saw Lance….dissolve into water. What exactly just happened? Was that real? First she and the other Level 5s were chasing Lance all around the city, and the next moment – right in front of her no less – he just dissolved into water.

For the few days that she knew him, Misaka was pretty sure that Lance wasn't able to dissolve into water, at least she hoped he couldn't dissolve into water. Her mind felt like it was about to explode from the confusion, and her head began to hurt. UGH! Why does he have to have so many surprises, Misaka screamed in her head.

Lance

Lance was laughing so hard his stomach began to ache. He sat by the pool, laughing his face off, as he waited for the others to get here. As he laughed, the other beings inside his head caught on to the humor. I must say Lance, that reversal was quite brilliant, BB complimented. Yes, especially the melting in front of Misaka, Chaos added, chuckling as she did. Lance couldn't respond because he was still laughing.

His laughter did attract some attention, however, as Kuroko teleported to his side with confusion. "Hey Lance, what's so funny?" Lance, however, was still laughing, though not as hard now. His stomach began to ache intensely and his lungs hurt. Finally, after a good thirty seconds of more laughter, Lance began to calm down. He took a few breaths to get his breath back before getting to Kuroko's question.

"Okay, so…" Lance took a breath before continuing, "so earlier today I woke up to get breakfast and I saw Milkshake and a bunch of other kids sitting at a table. I finish my breakfast and I'm walking to get out of the building to have a relaxing day out, but this lady in a labcoat walks in and starts making a beeline for me. So I turn tail and head in the other direction before Blinking outside."

"Outside, the lady asks me to join the Level 5 band and I said no, so they chased after me. So I'm running around, dodging them until I get to the pool and get an idea." Just as he got to the good part, the rest of the Level 5s burst through the door, one minute too late. The lady in the labcoat calmly walked through with that tired look on her face, but no one said anything, so Lance continued, "So anyway, I get to the pool and I decide to play a game."

"So using my power over water I made a water clone and hid at the bottom of the pool, which no one seemed to check by the way!" Lance aimed the last part at the group of kids. "But anyway, I send the water clone in my place and have the clone lead the group on a chase all throughout the city. And because you guys are…" Lance checked his watch to tease them, "a minute late, you have to hold up your end of the deal and drop this level 5 thing for awhile."

The level 5s – except Milkshake – looked upset that they lost to a 'level 3' but the lady just put on a tired smile. "I have to admit, I did not expect this. Next time I'll be certain to cover this." She then turned on her heels and walked off. Lance grinned at each of the Level 5s before he hopped up. "Well I don't know about you guys, but I am going to relax."

As he walked by the kid with the white hair, Lance gave him a pat on the shoulder. Now that his fun was finished, Lance just wanted to relax.

Misaka

Misaka had no idea how upset the other Level 5s were, but she was surely tired from chasing Lance all around Academy City. She didn't even have time for Kuroko's usual antics, she just shocked her as she lunged for Misaka and left for her dorm. She walked with her arms hanging in front of her and her eyes were heavy, but she woke up a little as she passed through the school's courtyard.

By the dorms, Misaka saw Lance lounging on a bench, almost like he had not led the city's most powerful students on a wild goose chase. Seeing that she needed to rest for a bit, Misaka sat herself down on the other side of the bench. Lance hadn't said a word, but Misaka had questions that she needed answered. "Hey Lance," she began, unsure how to word her questions right. "Hmm?" Lance grunted as he remained as he was.

"How are you so powerful?" Misaka wondered. "You were classified as a Level 3, but everyone else keeps saying that you might as well be a Level Infinity. Why?" Lance smirked before he sat up and opened his eyes. "Well Misaka, to give you the short story of it…. I had to fight to be this powerful. Early on I wasn't as strong, only had a few extra powers added to my normal water controlling abilities, but as time went on I found myself fighting tougher and tougher enemies and I kept getting stronger and stronger abilities. But all the power that I gained over my travels came at a price."

Lance went from relaxed and happy to somber. "I suffered heavily to get where I am now. I've seen things that would make any other person be stuck in a padded room, sitting in a corner and drooling for the rest of their lives. I've lost friends and family along the way, unable to do anything. At one point, my mind literally shattered and it took a good, long while before I could act normally again." Lance looked down at his left hand. When Misaka looked into his eyes, she saw behind the normal happiness, instead looking at near-indescribable sadness. He looked tired from where she sat, and Lance gave off this feeling that felt like…..ice. It wasn't just cold, it felt like…like burden. That was the only way Misaka could try to describe the feeling. The feeling Lance gave off felt like burden.

"Believe me Misaka, I'm glad that I made it this far. I really enjoy the fact that I could find happiness along the way, but happiness always has to be balanced eventually with sadness…and regret. I've done things, terrible things, that have made me a feared being in many different places, but I wouldn't wish it on anyone else. No one else could shoulder that responsibility."

The air seemed to grow somber around Lance, like his sadness radiated into the air itself. Misaka leaned forward a bit to get inside his vision. She had no idea what to say to him to make him happy again. This most definitely did not seem like the time to try and challenge him to a duel or do something completely spontaneous. Lance sighed as he leaned back against the bench and looked to the sky. "Listen Misaka, one day I'm going to tell you and the others a terrible story, one that will make you question whether I'm a hero or not, but it will be a story that you have to hear because it will make you understand what I meant by no one can shoulder the pain."

For the first time since meeting him, Misaka could've sworn that Lance had looked older. It was only for a brief second, but Misaka was sure that she saw an image of Lance when he was older. She saw him taller, his face more mature-looking, and he had developed some muscles. But as soon as she saw it, the image vanished, leaving her with the Lance she first met and a sense of foreboding emanating from him.

But Lance soon gave a smile, cutting through the tension and melting away the feeling of burden. "But enough of the sad stuff Milkshake. The day has only begun and the weather is perfect." Lance hopped up with the same amount of enthusiasm as when he first showed up, which really threw Misaka off. One moment Lance was sadder than anyone she had seen and the next he was on his feet like the conversation had never happened.

He held out a hand to her, shocking Misaka even more. Looking up at Lance, she saw the happiness once had returned, no sight of sadness in his eyes whatsoever. She accepted his hand and was astonished when he pulled her up so easily. "Now come on Milkshake!" he called as he began to quickly make his way to the school. "We have places to go, I have a girlfriend arriving soon, and we have dinosaurs to ride!" Misaka smiled at the enthusiasm that had once again returned to Lance.

She didn't like seeing him depressed and dark, she preferred the happy Lance that talked about dinosaurs, killer cupcakes, his girlfriend and French…. "Wait, did you say girlfriend?" Misaka asked. Lance didn't respond, he just continued on towards the school. Misaka ran after him, shouting, "Lance, did you just say girlfriend?!"

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT MY FINE FELLOW READERS! ZEH NEWEST CHAPTER! I hope you guys enjoyed the little nitbit about Lance's power.

It was kind of touch-and-go with trying to explain how Lance is so frattling strong without giving away major spoilers for the other stories. The best way to think about it is that Lance has fought some pretty tough monsters (tough enough to make even Kronos cry) and everything that he faces now is considerably weaker than the previous things he fought.

So yeah, everything in Academy City is literally child's play for Lance's abilities. Not to mention he hosts beings that can tear apart reality and build it back up again with just a thought (if left unrestrained by Lance).

But enough rambling, you guys are hear to enjoy the story!

So review as you see fit

Until next time: DEUCE!
