Direct Variation: a mathematical term for the equation y equals kx, in which "k" is a constant, 23 in our case, and "x" is a variable, standing for the number of Games, of course. It's a perfect equation, but unexplainably, there are inconsistencies. And if they have their way, there will be more. Rewritten into the third person.

A rebellion was sparked during the 95th Hunger Games. Panem almost fell. But the Capitol squashed the rebellion, extinguishing any hope at a new future. Timotheus Mellark and Timotheus Sinterguth are twin cousins. One of them lives in Panem, the other one in Central Europe, about one century after the final rebellion. Both are shy and kind of nerds and have big troubles finding a girlfriend. However, fate has big plans for them; let's find out how this works out. AU, with references to the real story.

We might call ourselves civilized, but deep inside, we're nothing more than beasts. Anyone who enters will have to make the choice between leaving with their life or their humanity.
