A few nights later, after I knew Bruce and Alfred were asleep, I just could not take it anymore. I quietly snuck to the piano and played the combination of notes that opened the bookcase. Then I went into the elevator and went all the way down to the cave. My heart was pounding because I knew Bruce would kill me if he knew I was down here. How in the world would I ever explain this to him?

I stepped out of the elevator and found myself in a place I had always dreamed of seeing. And here it was right in front of me. Okay, the bats really, really freaked me out, but besides that, this place was freaking amazing.

I quickly went back up because I was really worried I would get caught where I wasn't supposed to be.

The next night was Bruce's first night as Batman. I knew I wasn't supposed to know anything about that, but I also knew that I had to see his first fight with my own eyes. I mean, it held some of the most classic lines in the whole film. I was not about to miss seeing and hearing them in person!

So when he told me he was going to take care of some more "business", I waited a bit, then I ran out and managed to grab a cab. I directed the driver to the Narrows where I knew the drug deals were taking place. He seemed really nervous driving there, so I told him to just drop me off a bit of a distance away and then I would just walk to where I was supposed to go. He reluctantly agreed.

Okay, so being in the Narrows at night ended up being way scarier than I thought it would be. I was really on edge and wished I had some pepper spray on me.

Luckily for me, I made it to the drug dealing location unharmed and managed to find a perfect spot to stay where no one would see me, but I could still see all the action.

I busied myself with fiddling with my hair until I heard someone scream. This was it.

"Steiss?" one man asked. He and his friend went over to the container where Steiss had disappeared. Suddenly, the lights sparked and went out. I smiled, knowing it was a Batarang. Oh, this was so incredible to watch! The first man knelt down and picked up the Batarang. When he looked at his buddy, he saw that he was looking up at something on the ceiling. When he himself looked up, Batman descended on them before they could even let out a good scream.

Most of the men formed a tight group in the center of the space amongst the containers. Those who tried to run were quickly stopped by the terrifying figure.

And now came one of my favorite parts. A man with long wavy hair rubbed sweat out of his eyes and shot at every tiny movement he saw. He was out of his mind with fear. Finally he shouted out, "WHERE ARE YOU?!"

"Here," a soft scratchy voice said behind him. The man screamed for literally a second before darkness overtook him.

Suddenly, Batman dropped down right in the middle of the group of men and I watched in amazement as he took all of them down single-handedly in a matter of seconds. After they were all unconscious, he went over to the car Falcone had secured himself into to get away…only to find a knocked-out driver.

I watched as Batman climbed on top of the car and then burst his hands through the glass, lifting Falcone easily out of the car. And now the most famous line in the entire trilogy:

"I'm Batman."

HOLY POOP! That was so much freaking cooler in person! Batman looked over to find the same homeless man he had seen seven years ago. "Nice coat," he remarked. He took off into the air with Falcone. For a second, I thought for sure he saw me, but maybe it was just my imagination.

"Thanks," the homeless man muttered looking up after the two men.

I quietly laughed to myself. I had just seen with my own eyes in person one of the most iconic scenes in the trilogy. I just stayed there in my little nook for a while unable to seriously comprehend what I just witnessed. I knew that Batman was tying Falcone to a spotlight where the man would give off the image of a bat in the night sky.

After probably longer than I should've, I finally stood up and began to leave. All my joy immediately left faster than I ever thought possible when I bumped into one of the men from Falcone's crew who had apparently gained consciousness. I began to scream but he quickly clamped his hand over my mouth and pushed me back onto one of the containers.

"What's a little thing like you doing here?"

I looked back at him with wide eyes. I had to wonder what would happen if he killed me. Would I die for real? Or would I wake up back in my own world? Both seemed like pretty terrible options to me.

"What have you seen?" he growled. His hand went tighter on my mouth and I started having trouble finding oxygen. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you right now."

"Because she's not alone."

I gasped heavily as none other than Batman whipped the man off me and beat him to the ground. So he had seen me before. He turned to me. Despite my dire wish to meet the man, all those fanfictions I read were right. He was actually really scary in person, even though he did just save me.

"Why are you here?" he asked in a gravelly voice.

I tried to find words but I ended up failing miserably. What was I supposed to say? That I came here because I wanted to see his first appearance as Batman and say all the lines I loved? That would never work for obvious reasons.

He came up to me and on instinct, I backed up as he approached me. I'll admit that he did scare me with all that black on and the permanent scowl etched on his face and his piercing eyes peeking out of the cowl.

"You need to get out of here."

I nodded my head and began to walk the way I had come, but before I could, he grabbed my hand and roughly pulled me into him.

"Hang on."

The next thing I knew, we were flying up in the air. I quickly flung my arms around his neck and could feel my face get hot at our close proximity. We landed on the roof of a building nearby.

"Go home before you get hurt."

I nodded again, unable to form any words. He probably thought I was an idiot. I wanted nothing more than for him to stay here with me, but I knew he had to go save Rachel and I had kept him long enough. He flew off the roof and I wasted no time in finding a cab and riding back to the Manor.

How in the world was I supposed to act around Bruce now? I knew that that was him who had just saved me, but he didn't know that I knew it was him. So what am I supposed to do when the person I'm living with doesn't know that I know something that I'm not supposed to know? Wait…what? I ran that through my head a few times, but I just ended up confusing myself, so I let it go. Perhaps it was best to just act like nothing was wrong. If Bruce could act like a total playboy, then I could act like an innocent woman with no secrets to hide.

How hard could it be?
