Fuuko and Wake slowly strolled through the dimly lit city, talking casually about Fuuko's shifting magic. They decided to eat at the Herbal Cafe, not because it was particularly gourmet, but it was near by and cheap. Maybe more of a compromise than a decision, but thats where they where heading.

Fuuko was still holding Wake's hand, firmly, but not to tightly. She felt nervous the entire time they where walking. What if one of the other disciples saw them? What if they asked about Wake and Fuuko? What if they spread rumours about her and Wake? Although, would that really be a bad thing? She and Wake where on a date, he had even specified that. Then it wouldn't be wrong for people to recognize that she was dating Wake. Assuming, of course the correct term would be "dating". She didn't know, this was her first date, so she did not want to ruin it. Fuuko needed to calm down, she was feeling way to nervous. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment.

"Are you alright?" Wake asked.

Fuuko opened her eyes and looked over at Wake. "Yeah, I'm fine." She responded.

"Oh, good. You just got really quiet for a minute." Wake said.

"S-sorry" Fuuko said quietly. She had not noticed that she hadn't said anything for the past couple minutes, she just caught caught up thinking about her and Wake.

"I was just thinking about stuff," She added.

"Just so long as everything's alright." Blake said, as he kept walking forward confidently.

Fuuko sighed and looked down. "Your so sweet and considerate, thats why I love you." Fuuko mumbled.

"Hmm?" Wake said, not hearing what she said.

"N-nothing." Fuuko stammered, realizing what she had just said out loud.

They reached the centre of the shopping district, a large space filled with kiosk's and stores. This was always the busiest place in the city, people where walking to and fro, some where talking amongst each other, while others just walked by recognized three girls sitting and eating cake. They where first year A-ranks, she had seen them around the school. One of the girl's looked around while her two conversed. Her gaze found Fuuko and Wake holding hands. The girl smiled and leaned over to her friends and started talking. Shortly after, the other girl's looked over and stared for a second. Fuuko's face beamed red and she pulled Wake, quickly leaving the shopping district.

They reached a less crowded area before Fuuko slowed down from a slow jog.

"What's the matter? Wake asked, sounding concerned.

"I was just embarrassed." Fuuko replied before thinking.

"About being with me?" Wake asked, sounding slightly confused and upset.

"N-no, of course not! I mean, maybe a little... b-but not because I don't like you or anything." Fuuko stammered. She felt like an idiot.

"Hey, don't worry about it. I'm nervous about this too." Wake said reassuringly.

"R-really?" Fuuko asked as she looked at him.

Wake turned and met Fuuko's gaze. "Yeah. I mean it is my first date, so I don't want to mess it up, especially with you."

Fuuko stared into Wake's eyes for a moment, feeling the reddening of her cheeks fade away. She realized he must care about her. She moved in, bring her face to his cheek. Her heart racing, she softly kissed Wake's smooth face. Now she could feel her face blushing again. She pulled back slowly. Staying close, her eyes met his again.

"Aww, you guys look so cute together." A voice called out from behind Fuuko.

"Eep!" Fuuko screeched, instantly jumping away from Wake. She turned around to see a smiling, red haired disciple.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you two love-birds." He said, still smiling widely.

Fuuko felt her face turn a deep shade of red, she just stared at the ground, not saying anything.

"What are you doing here Chlotz?" Wake asked after a moment.

"I was just heading over to the Noodle House to enjoy some ramen, I didn't except to see you two getting so intimate on my way over." Chlotz chuckled, teasingly.

"Your just going by yourself?" Wake asked, eager to change the subject.

"No, I'm going to eat with a lady."

"Like a date? Did you finally grow a pair and ask Luce?" Wake asked, getting in his own teasing in.

"Me finally grow a pair? Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't ask me for advice with who to ask Fuuko out?" Chlotz retorted. Fuuko looked over to see Wake blushing, trying to think of how to respond.

"T-thats not relevant." Wake managed to reply.

"I'm just kidding man. But to answer your question, I'm gonna meet my sister there. She's not going to believe this." Chlotz said, smiling again.

"Anyways, I better go, sis will have my head if I'm even later than I am now. I want to hear all the details later. See ya." Chlotz said before turning and leaving.

While walking away,he turned and called."Oh, and uh, you kids use protection." Chlotz winked, still wearing his trademark smile as he disappeared around a corner.

Fuuko nor Wake said anything for a moment. Fuuko was still blushing deeply as she cursed under her breath.

"I really hate Chlotz sometimes." Fuuko said, breaking the awkward silence.

"Yeah, he's too direct for his own good." Wake responded, smiling lightly.

"Well, let's keep going, we're nearly at the cafe." Fuuko said, reaching for Wakes hand again. Wake happily grasps the soft, warm hand and begins walking to a nearby building.
