A/N: I wrote the chapter! Yay so proud of myself...maybe? I'm not really sure...I hope you enjoy though :)
Its been a couple of days since Karkat left. Eridan and I haven't really slept much unless the other forces us to. We're trying to figure out where he could've gone because we've searched everywhere. He hasn't even shown up at school which worries me-us because Gamzee is there. We don't know what to do. I don't know what to do. Eridan is distraught over the loss of his friend for the second time and I'm not sure how to help. The only thing I can think of doing is possibly finding Karkat but that's easier said than done.
I'm currently laying face down on my bed while Eridan sleeps on the couch. I've been mulling over it for awhile about where he is. I came up with a place he could've gone if he wanted to get away and be safe because even if I don't know him very well it seems plausible. I just need to ask Eridan about it. Hopefully he gets up soon. I roll over onto my back and notice him in the doorway. 'If that's not creepy I don't know what is.' He pads over to the bed plopping down on the end of it.
"Hey Sol." he says quietly. I've noticed that he's been talking less lately and quieter too. It saddens me. It's one of the main reasons I want to find Karkat. I don't like seeing Eridan sad.
"Hey ED. I um I need to ask you something it might help find Karkat" I get and instant reaction from that. He turns to me eyes full of hope.
"What is it?"
"I wanted to know where you and Karkat used to live. I've been thinking about it for awhile and I was thinking that if he wanted to go somewhere safe that maybe he would've went back to your hometown. It's not solid but I think that it's our best bet right now considering we have no other leads or any clue where he would've went. So maybe we could go there? I don't know this is all a dumb idea isn't it? You can tell me if it is because-" He cuts me off with a smile that shocks me because I haven't seen him smile for two days which doesn't seem like that big of a deal but it is since Eridan is usually always smiling.
"Sollux you're a genius! I can't believe I didn't think of it before. I should've known that's where he would go!"
"Woah. Woah woah calm down. I mean we don't even know if he's there or not. He could be-" Eridan puts a hand over my mouth so I lick him and he cringes away in disgust wiping his hand on my sheets.
"Sol that was completely unnecessary. Anyway I definitely know he's in Texas. I'm positive. There was this guy named Dave there when we lived there and he used to have this huge crush on Karkat it wasn't even funny. Well anyway Karkat liked him too just not in the same way and when Karkat left he was really heart-broken because he didn't get to say goodbye. Well after that he dated a few people but they never lasted because he always ended up reverting back to Kar. I guess he loved him and you never really get over that. You think you do but you don't. Well anyway Dave always used to tell Kar if he ever needed anything he would always be there for him. So that's how I know that's where Karkat went or will eventually go if he hasn't already." I stared at him with my mouth open for the longest time. I couldn't believe it.
"So what you're telling me is that I have competition?" Eridan gives me a blank stare.
"Is that seriously the only thing you got out of that?" He shouts at me and I shake my head no.
"No it's not but it's true right. He obviously still likes him even if you haven't seen him in forever. He seems very devoted.
"God Sol you're so possessive. Now since we know where he's headed shall we go?" I nod in agreement and pack up some clothes, toothpaste/toothbrush, my laptop before grabbing my phone and keys putting them in my pockets. I slip on my shoes as Eridan does the same and we head to his place. He does the same and before I know it we're on a plane to Texas. (Eridans dad paid for it and he's taking care of our absence at school) I sit back pull out my phone, plug in my headphones and play one of my favorite songs.
The beginning starts and I vow that this is what I'll be for Karkat. The song pertains to what I want to be for him and do for him. I fall asleep with the words ringing through my ears.

I hope you guys liked this please let me know because i sort of feel like this story is going downhill and isn't as good as it was the first few chapters so it would really help if you told me what you think. I don't want to get rid of the story without finishing it but it might not be that great... :( Thanks for reading give me opinions they help.
