Disclaimer: Sadly, I do not own The Outsiders or the Characters or anything. The fabulous S.E. Hinton does.

A/N: I apologize for the break. When trying to write both stories I realized I can't multitask. My head can't handle too much thinking! ;) Thank you to those who reviewed. I hope this chapter can make up for the break. I said it would probably be after Sick Daze, but I wanted to put another chapter out there. My updates for this will still be slower than Sick Daze. The beginning of this chapter is what I posted earlier.

Ponyboy's POV

Man, I was hungover. Note to self, don't ever listen to Two-Bit. Or drink. Ever again. That sounded like a great idea.

I was glad today was Saturday and Johnny was the only one suppose to hang out with me today. I couldn't handle Two-Bit's non-stop blabbering mouth with this big of a headache.

My door opened and I saw Johnny standing there. The light came in and I groaned, covering my eyes, trying to shield them from the suddenly bright light.

"Shut the door, please Johnny?" I asked. He nodded.

"You alright?" He asked me concerned.

"I'm so hungover Johnnycakes." I confessed to him. "Are you mad at me?"

"No, why would I be?" He asked confused.

"I drank just like your parents." I said miserably.

"You're not like my parents. Two-Bit drinks and I still tolerate the guy. It's hard to lose your parents, I don't blame you." Johnny told me. That was a lot of talking for him. He lost his dad when he was five and that's when his mom turned to alcohol and married a drunk child beater. His mom had actually loved him a lot before all the alcohol.

"Don't make it a habit, okay Pone?" He asked in a small bit hopeful voice.

I groaned, grabbing my splitting head. "I'll put it in writing." I said cheekily. He smiled softly, shaking his head.

"You sound like Two-Bit." He told me. I wriggled my eyebrows.

"No way, Johnny."

"Yes way." We argued like little kids.

"I would love to continue this conversation, but I got to get some aspirin before my head splits open." I told him, crawling out of the warmth from the covers.

I went to the bathroom and grabbed the bottle of aspirins and shook out four. I swallowed them dry and got some cake out for Johnny and I.

Johnny and I slowly munched on some cake and watched Mickey Mouse. We both really didn't talk much, too engrossed into the show. But, he saw my hangover as hurting over my parents death and I knew he was here today because of the black eye and bloody lip that he was sporting. We could understand things without talking and that's one of the things I liked about him. He and Sodapop understood me better than anyone.

I glanced at the clock. It was noon. Soda would be home in two hours from work.

Two-Bit walked in and saw Johnny and I just sitting there silently. He laughed at us.

"You must make interesting conversations. With you keeping your mouth shut and Johnny not saying anything." He laughed like a hyena as if that was the funniest thing ever.

"Two-Bit?" I asked.

"Yeah Pone."

"Shut up." I commanded with an eye roll.

"Yessir." He replied cheekily with a fake military salute.

I rolled my eyes as Soda walked in, kicking off his shoes and grabbing some chocolate milk. He handed a glass to me and sat down.

"Hey. How was work?" I asked. He shrugged.

"Same. Pumped an annoying Socs car but I met a real cute girl. Her name is Sandra." He said with a grin. I immediately knew this girl was going to be different than all the others. What I didn't know was how different she was going to be.

A/N: Nobody said yes or no about Sandy so I just through her in there. I hope it doesn't sound rushed or anything. Thank you for sticking with me.
