A/N: Thank you to all of those who reviewed. I never plan anything, so this is going to be the last chapter. Sorry. It is actually long so I hope you enjoy it. I may or may not post much for a month or so, I'm taking a small break.
Just for the record in case the memo was missed, flames are not welcome as reviews OR over PM.
Ponyboy's POV
"You ready Ponyboy?" Two-Bit asked. "We are here." He told me as we pulled up to the to an old brick building. We were at the movies!
I smiled, I hadn't seen a movie I'm a while, but I knew with Two-Bit here that we wouldn't get to see the whole movie, but I didn't mind.
"Thanks guys. I haven't seen a movie in forever." I croaked. Two-Bit grinned.
"Well then come on. We're going to see Gone With The Wind." I smiled wider, I loved the book.
We slipped under the fence and sat in our seats. Almost immediately, Two-Bit scooter in next to a blonde and started to whisper in her ear.
She was getting annoyed, pushing him away until a big muscles guy that was bigger than Darry cane behind Two-Bit and grabbed him by the collar. I recognized him as one of Sheppard's friends. Oh, boy.
I jumped on the guys back as Two-Bit and Johnny fought him in the front. Out if nowhere I was pulled off of the guys back and was getting socked in the face and the stomach. I swallowed the bile that rose and burned my aching throat.
I started go see black when a familiar voice rang out.
"Are you thick, Jeremy? That's the Curtis boy. You wanna get beaten to a pulp by Darrel?" I looked up to see the two guys running and Tim them in the head.
Did I really just escape a death sentence because Darry was my brother.
"I have never been so happy to be with you in my life." Two-Bit informed me, brushing the dirt off of his pants. I cocked my eyebrow.
"Thank you, buddy, I feel important." I replied sarcastically with a cough. Two-Bit smiled and ruffled my hair. I pushed him away with a huff of annoyance.
"Naw, you keep your mouth shut good. I do actually enjoy hanging with you, Ponyboy. You too Johnny." He told us, grinning and wrapping his arms around our shoulders friendly.
I looked over at Two-Bit. "Can I hide this from Darry?" I asked, but he shook his head.
"You got one heck of a shiner and a deep cut across your cheek. Naw, Darry ain't that thick." He told me. I sighed, not wanting to get into this argument with Darry.
I got home and immediately Darry grabbed my face.
"What happened?" He asked.
"Just a fun in. We are fine, Darry." I told him. He shook his head.
"Hey Darry, I'm going to go see that new Paul Newman movie, is that okay," I asked. He nodded.
"Sure, but be careful…
