I quickly walked into my house and shut the door behind me, letting out a loud sigh as I leaned back. School seemed to be getting more and more stressful for me, although I suppose it was stressful for the rest of my grade as well. It was March now, and I was pretty sure that I wasn't the only one freaking out about everything. The finals would be in May, and then graduation in June, and then we were on our own in the big bad world. Jade wasn't the least bit fazed and neither were our other friends, so I tried to keep it on the down low for their benefit. The last thing I needed was for the rest of the group to be worrying about the exact same thing; It just wasn't worth the trouble.

"Grace! You home?!"

I paused for a second and pursed my lips, before shouting back. "Yeah!"

The loud thuds against the stair floorboards echoed through the house and I dumped my bag onto the coat holder, waiting patiently for Camille to come down the stairs.

"How was school?" She asked cheerfully, looking better than she had when I'd left the house.

"Boring." I replied, heading into the kitchen.

Camille followed me into the room and fell down onto the couch. "I remember being in school."

"Well you should." I told her, settling down onto the armchair with a glass of orange juice. "It was only five years ago."

She narrowed her eyes at me, but carried on. "Making out behind the school, getting to third base in the janitor's closet."

"Lovely." I muttered sarcastically, taking a sip of juice. Listening to my sisters slutty past was not how I'd planned spending my evening.

"It sure was." She dreamily sighed, staring up at the ceiling. "So, you busy tonight?"

I was grateful for the change of topic, however I knew exactly where it was going. "No." I stated firmly.

"Gracie," she childishly whined, smacking the arm of the couch as she pouted. "Please."

"No, Camille. It's a Monday and I need my sleep tonight. Can't you just use the front door?"

"You know mom and dad always lock it!"

I shrugged and said, "I'll just have to unlock it then."

"I'll be drunk. You know how I am when I'm that drunk, please Grace."

"How is scaling the side of the house and climbing through my bedroom window easier than using a front door?" I asked her.

Camille groaned and threw her head back. "Grace!"

"Camille." I retorted.

She lowered her head and stared at me with a pleading gaze, "C'mon Grace. This guy is...amazing. He's not like the others. He's sweet, considerate, and hot. I can't even tell you how many times I've wanted to throw him down and-"

"Don't need to know about that." I cut her off. "And how great can he be? He let you get drunk of your ass last night."

"In his defence, he didn't force the drinks down my throat. And, he called me a cab, most guys wouldn't do that and you know it. Anyone else would have taken me to their bed as soon as I hit that floor."

I narrowed my eyes, my curiosity suddenly peaked. "He didn't sleep with you?"

"Nope. Not sure why though. I guess it just shows how nice of a guy he actually is."

"Or," I started, taking another sip of my drink, "he could just want sex with a girl who's sober enough to know what she's doing."

Camille narrowed her eyes in annoyance. "It isn't like that. And, for your information, I'm amazing at drunk-sex!"

I gagged and shook my head. "Didn't need to know that."

Camille quickly moved from the couch and kneeled in front of me, her hands clasped together in front of her. She had her pleading face on, the one she gave our parents all the time, which usually resulted in her getting whatever she wanted. "Grace," she started, "I really like this guy. He told me to meet him tonight and I said yes. C'mon Grace."

For a minuted I stared at her, pondering my decision. If I said yes, then once again I wouldn't get any sleep; Again. But if I said no, then Camille would hold it against me for god-knows how long. She could guilt-trip me into an early grave if she tried hard enough.

"Fine."

Camille got to her feet and continuously jumped up and down excitedly. "Thank you! Thank you!"

"Just be careful Camille." I said as she pulled me into a tight hug. "He might not be as nice as you think."

~...~...~

"She didn't come home?"

I nodded as I paced the living room floor, fiddling nervously with my hands. Camille hadn't come home last night. I'd gone to sleep at my usual time, figuring she'd just wake me up when she climbed through the window, and tell me about the great night she'd had. But, unlike every other time before, she hadn't come home. She always came back, but this time it didn't happen. Sometimes Camille even came through my window at six in the morning, having stayed over the guys house for a little bit, and I'd find her sleeping at the foot of my bed. And it was when I walked into her room to find her that I realised she hadn't come home.

After freaking out about my sisters disappearance, I'd called Jade. It was eight now and I was determined to stay in the house until Camille came home, no matter how long it took.

"Grace, you need to calm down." Jade told me.

My eyes widened in disbelief. "Calm down?!" I shouted, and Jade winced. "How am I supposed to calm down?! Camille is god-knows where with god-knows who, doing god-knows what! And you're telling me to calm down? Never tell a girl to calm down!"

Jade rolled her eyes and gripped my shoulders tightly, looking directly into my eyes. "Grace, listen to me. You need to calm down and take a breath." I slowly nodded at her words and stopped for a minute, doing as she instructed. "Good girl. Now, sit down." I sighed and let her pull me down onto the couch.

"I'm sorry." I told her, lightly shaking my head. "It's just, she always comes home. I just don't know what to do right now."

Thankfully, my best friend nodded in understanding. "It's okay, you're allowed to freak out a little. But maybe she stayed at this guys place last night. I mean, it's not uncommon for a girl to stay the night after some hooky. You just need to relax and not worry about Camille, that's your parents' job, not yours."

"I guess." I relented, knowing that on some level, she was right.

"There's my girl!" Jade exclaimed, smacking her thighs triumphantly. "Now, go get ready for school, okay? And be quick. I don't wanna have to be late because you're PMS'ing."

I laughed and nodded, getting up from the couch and heading towards my room.
