Good Friday

It had been almost two months since Cassidy failed to woo Olivia. He was on a date with a cute redhead he had met on the job when he saw Olivia walking into the bar. She was wearing skintight black jeans, a scoop green shirt that drew attention to her chest, and she had on that jacket, the one that made guys and girls notice her.

She had grown out her hair, giving her more of a femme look, especially with her pearl earrings.

Since when does she wear earrings?

She got a table for two, but she sat by herself. She said something to the waitress who came up to her and the woman was gone.

She got a Sam Adams. Brian thought. She always gets a Sam Adams. When he was with the 1-6, he asked her why it was her favorite beer.

"It's not," she told him, "but it's better than Budweiser, always on draft, and it's cheaper than Blue Moon."

Everything she did was with a purpose. It was one of the things that drew him to her in the first place.

"Are you even listening?" Casey was getting irritated. His eyes weren't even on her anymore.

"Of course, you were telling me about your dog?"

"Rocky is my brother not my mastiff!" She looked over and saw the brunette who caught his attention.

"Maybe you should date her instead," Casey threw her beer in Cassidy's face and stormed out the bar.

Olivia Benson was always to the rescue. She got a towel from the bar and started to wipe of his face.

"Bad Date?"

"Yeah … yeah."

She had a bit of a laugh as she dried him off. "Maybe the next one will go better."

"What are you doing, drinking by yourself?"

"I'm waiting on someone."

"Boyfriend."

"No."

He grinned. "It didn't work out with Alex?"

"How do you know about Alex?"

"I um …"

Before he could answer, a tall blonde came into the bar. She saw Olivia, smiled, and confidently walked up to her.

"Sorry I'm late," she gave Olivia a forceful kiss. The ADA was feeling territorial. She remembered Brian from his outburst at the 1-6, and she did not want him sniffing around.

"What the …"

"This is my girlfriend, Alex Cabot."

Brian's face fell and his jaw dropped. "I …" lost to a girl?

The waitress came with a glass of Pinot Noir. Olivia told her to bring it once Alex arrived.

"Thank you."

"I know what my woman likes," Olivia told her.

"Did you know that they call Pinot Noir liquid sex?"

"I hope that's not the only sex you planned on having tonight."

"You know why they call it Good Friday, right?" Alex purred, her voice reeked of sex.

Olivia grinned. "I think I need you to show me."

They quickly downed their drinks and made off together.

Brian was still standing there, in awe.
