Author's Note: Hey guys! Welcome to another chapter of my story! I just want to say that next week will be the last chapter and thank you all so, so very much for sticking with me through this crazy ride. I hope that this story did justice to how I would like to see Loke and Lucy's fairy tale romance if it should ever come to be. I know it is far from perfect but I loved writing every word of this. And by reading the reviews every week and the poll I would say I did pretty well.

I won't be gone for long from the writing world considering I am on chapter 6 of writing my next novel entitled...well next chapter I think I will reveal the name of it so you guys, if you are interested in reading any of my future work, will be able to check that out when I have finish writing it. It WILL NOT be the sequel as it will be a Lucy and Natsu fairy tale. So hopefully you guys will be looking forward to that. If not, do not despair I will make a sequel and hopefully upload the first chapter later this year after my birthday. To give you a hint-it is in the summer. But anyway, Thank again guys for being the most amazing readers and fans I have ever come to know. I am a little sad to see this finally come to an end after so many months, but it is time. So the next chapter will be the epilogue and setting the stage for where the sequel will be picked up.

So I do have a favor if you are an avid reviewer and enjoyed this-please, when you review, tell me what you really loved about this story and maybe any suggestions for the sequel. I am pretty much open to anything you guys want and will take heavy consideration for whatever is suggested. I was also thinking of doing some extra pairings like expanding on the Levy and Gajeel shipping and maybe Natsu and Lisanna? I dunno just a favor I thought I wouldn't mind asking

Wow this AN is really long and I am super sorry about it. So without further announcements the song for this is an original I had found on YouTube and it is so beautiful. It is entitled "Daughter of the Moon" by Adriana Figueroa? Either way, beautiful song for a beautiful chapter I just fell in love with writing it. So bring up the song and enjoy listening to it while you read!

Into This World They Enter

~Chapter Twenty Four~

Life went back to normal in the peaceful town of Magnolia. The unusual weather stopped and Lucy had her keys all back in order. Although the citizens of the town found their lives peaceful, it did not ring true for everyone. Fairy Tail was on high alert as the days numbered until Lucy's due date. Cana was in charge of the bets of when and what time the delivery might happen. There was an air of excitement as members of Fairy Tail were anxiously awaiting the arrival. As for the couple Loke was finding his life a little hectic as he had to be the responsible parent and practically strapped Lucy to the their bed. Under the strict orders of Parlyusica, she was ordered to be bedridden to be under the watchful eye of the healer as she had taken residence in one of their spare bedrooms to help prepare for the arrival of the birthing. She did not want Lucy up and about incase that might give complications to safe pregnancy.

Lucy laid against the pillows with her feet elevated and chewed begrudgingly on her ice chips. She was just a mess of emotions and the current one was annoyance with border lining of crying as the twins were using her womb as a fighting match. She swore they were intimidating Gray and Natsu in one of their many fighting matches. She bit hard into one of the ice chips as she growled.

"That is enough you two! Stop using my bladder as a punching bag!" she yelled losing her cool.

"Aww Lu-chan, they are just trying to settle." Levy said kindly from her seat as she consoled her irritated friend. However, this earned her a heated glare that made Levy snap her mouth shut with an audible click.

"Settle? Settle?! They have had nine months to goddamn settle! They are toying with me and my patience in what they are doing! It is as if they are practicing their asshole father's Regulus Punch or whatever the fuck he calls it! They aren't settling, they are killing me!" Lucy lashed out uncharacteristically towards her friend. Levy just sighed softly as she knew better than to talk back when Lucy was in this state. As of now, aside from Parlyusica, Lucy's words were law. If she said jump, you asked how high; if she said bring me his head, you asked which platter to serve it on; and if she said that Loke was a merciless, heartless bastard, you agreed or you find yourself at the hands of a woman one french fry short of a happy meal.

'You are right Lu-chan. Can I get you more ice chips while you read this book I picked up for you?" Levy decided the best distraction was to appease to Lucy's favorite pastime hobby. Levy picked up the empty cup beside he as she handed the angry woman another sappy romance novel. Lucy mood shifted from irate to delight in a manner that would make Juvia proud. She focused her attention on the book as she quickly opened it while Levy took the opportunity to slip out with the cup, and gratefully, her life. She spotted Loke and Parlyusica talking quietly in the kitchen as she entered.

Loke had noticed the empty cup as he went to give more ice, "How is she doing up there? I feel the yelling has died down a bit." he chuckled.

"Oh she is keeping busy." Levy let out a nervous laugh, but it was no secret that Lucy was getting ready to give birth.

"You really are an angel for sticking around to help." Loke handed her the refilled cup with a smile.

"Well of course, I need to be here after you named me Godmother!" Levy beamed brightly.

Loke let out another chuckle, "Well you aren't the only one. Natsu and Gray have been 'guarding' the house while Happy has been fishing. But I know we appreciate any help all the same." he spoke gratefully to Levy's bubbly smile.

"Well I should get this back up to Lu-chan." Levy motioned to leave.

"Tell her I will be up in a few to rub her back and feet if she wants." Loke called out for her.

"Will do." Levy said over her shoulder. Loke's smile faded as he turned back to the healer and Levy was out of earshot.

"It is only a matter of time Lion." Parlyusica sniffed with a disgruntled expression.

"It hurts me to see her in so much pain." Loke admitted with a heavy tone.

"Perhaps putting yourself between her legs and giving her your seed was not the best idea after all." the healer spoke dryly.

Loke shuddered at the insult, "Hey, we are getting something amazing from our love." he growled.

"Then stop moping and feeling sorry for her. She already knew what she was getting herself into the moment she let you climb on top of her. It is childbirth, not a sympathy party. You hiding down here from her wrath isn't helping her."

"But me being up there isn't helping either." he snapped.

"Fool! She is about give birth and in pain; the pain that you put her in. Man up, take what she throws at you, and wait until they need to be delivered." she snapped right back at him. There was a tense silence before Loke got up and dejected walked up the stairs towards their bedroom.

~Hours Later~

Lucy was crying into Loke's arms as he pet her hair, "And she died! What was the point of that?!" Lucy wailed.

"It's just a book Beautiful, they aren't real." Loke tried to reason.

"They were to me!" Lucy sobbed. Loke let out a heavy sigh. It seems that no matter what he said it would not waiver her mind. She was perfectly find all afternoon as she rubbed her feet and lower back while she read. Then all of a sudden, she started to cry and wail when she got to the part where the main female character died and all hell broke loose. Poor Loke didn't know what to say or do as the hormonal woman threw down every comfort he tried to console her with. He needed to have a talk with Levy once she was asleep about giving his mate books with main characters dying while she was in this state.

"Lucy, Beautiful, throw me a bone here. I'm at my wits end!" he begged.

"You wouldn't care if I died! Why can't you love me like he loved her?" she hiccupped.

"Lucy you are essentially immortal, carrying our children, and I have risked my life for you. You know I have moved the heavens and our lives for just you alone; don't you think that it is more romantic than any character in any book you will ever read?" he reasoned. Lucy sniffled against his chest as he stroked her locks; she looked up at him with watery eyes as she let this sink in.

"You are such a good guy" she sniffled with more tears leaking out as Loke saw a glimmer of hope at the end of this crazy roller coaster he never wanted to get on with her. Seizing this moment of her heart wavering from the cruelties she was throwing at him for the past couple of hours he cradled her closer to him.

"I am not just a good guy Beautiful, I am your mate." Lucy leaned up and kissed him deeply. The pads of his fingers wiped her tears as he smiled warmly down at her, "I love you Luce and I love the perfect gifts we created." His hand traveled down to her engorged belly as he gently rubbed the gentle bumps and kicks under his palm. He never turned his gaze from her beautiful face. She was perfect as the day he had met her.

Lucy opened her mouth to reply to her love but her mouth just hung opened slightly ajar as her eyes widen into shock.

"Lucy?" Loke's soften expression quickly turned to worry as he suddenly felt dread in the pit of his stomach. Something in his world shifted and not in a good way.

"Leo...I think...did I...why did I just pee the bed?!" she cried. Loke froze for just a moment as Lucy broke anew into shameful tears of feeling humiliated. He needed to act quickly as he gotten out of bed and rushed to the bedroom door, almost ripping it off its hinges in his panic, and roared out the healers name. That wasn't pee on that bed but something much more important.

"IT'S TIME!" Lucy heard him yell. She felt so confused as she had thought she peed the bed and not have her water break. Footsteps of four dragon slayers, a script mage, an ice wizard, and a healer rushed up the stairs while the exceeds stayed in the safety of the downstairs. Parlyusica turned to the group following when all were on the second floor.

"Only Wendy may enter with, the rest of you back downstairs! This is a family matter." she gave a warning glare that would put Erza's look to shame.

"We are family!" Natsu interjected but Gajeel just hit him over the back of the head annoyed and started to drag the others back downstairs. Parlyusica and Wendy turned to see Loke cleaning up Lucy and helping to prepare the bedding. Wendy started to help Parlyusica as they entered to help assess the situation. She gathered all the necessary things that Parlyusica had said that they would need to set up for the delivery. As everyone was in a mad dash around her, Lucy felt find, amid a little embarrassed, but nothing to be fretting over as everyone around here was in a frenzy panic. She stood there watching as her loved ones moved around her and felt the wave of denial begin to build up in her.

"I-I'm not in la-labor now!" she sniffled as Parlyusica scoffed at her.

"Not yet, but you'll be thanking me soon." she continued her work.

~Early Morning~

Loke and Levy held each leg of Lucy's opened and spread as Parlyusica was in between them with Wendy assisting. Lucy had her hair up in a messy bun as beads of sweat and loose strands clung to her neck and face as her expression was contorted in pain. Deep from within her chest she let out reverberating cries of intense displeasure and discomfort as contractions were coming quicker and more painful as the twins made their way into this world from the safety of their mother's womb. As Loke held her leg opened, he encouraged her with comforting words to help her through this ordeal. She squeezed his free hand with unimaginable strength for a woman of her size.

Blood and fluids were pouring between her Legs as she pushed every time Parlyusica demanded it.

"I see the first one coming, now I need two good pushes Lucy!" Parlyusica yelled.

"I-I can't! It hurts so much!" Lucy was howling in pain and her tears were free falling. Parlyusica glared up between her thigh towards Loke with one of her death stares. Loke let out a loud gulp at the heat of it. If it were a weapon he was certain he would be killed in that moment. Quickly he turned his attention back on his mate whom was struggling so much.

"I know Beautiful, but they need to come out now. Don't you want to see their little faces?" he tried to coax her. Lucy nodded through her crying.

"Come on Lu-chan! You are strong remember? Think of how many times we survived to bring them to this point?" Levy added onto Loke's encouragement. Lucy could only hiccup and sob in agreement.

"Okay child, push!" Parlyusica saw the contraction coming. Lucy bore down and pushed with all her might as searing pain spread from between her hips and up her spine. she felt as if her children were going to tear her body in half as the first born was crowning.

"LEO! HELP ME!" she cried out as all Loke could do was console her with words and letting her squeeze his hand.

"Now for the last push! Come on girl! They are ready!" Parlyusica prepared to receive the first child.

"IT HURTS! OH GOD IT HURTS!" Lucy felt worse for wear.

"Come on Beautiful! Let's do this!" Loke felt her grip his hand that much harder. Sobbing, Lucy felt the contraction coming as she gave a final push as the a second cry harmonized with her own. Parlyusica quickly handed the baby into Wendy's waiting arms as she quickly took the little one to be cleaned up.

"What is it?" Loke demanded as Lucy fell against the bedding feeling all the energy starting to leave her. Her body was so grateful for the reprieve, but her mind knew that this was far from over. She still had one more little one to bring into this world. Lucy began to feel Loke start to remove his grip as he wanted to see his child.

"Don't you dare move Lion! The second one will come and I need us prepared. Wendy has the child and will be taking care of him until the second one arrives!" Parlyusica ordered as she quickly began to prepare for the next baby.

"A-A son..." Lucy weakly spoke as she was panting from exhaustion. Levy grabbed the damp cloth from the water basin sitting on the night stand to wipe the sweat from her friend's brow.

"Lu-chan, you have a son." she smiled with teary eyes.

"Luke." Loke grinned proudly as Mother and Father shared a moment looking over at Wendy anxiously. Wendy was cleaning the mewling babe.

"C-Can I hold him?" Lucy asked despite her weakened state. Her arms itched to wrap around her precious baby, the baby that she had been carrying inside her this whole time.

"Damn it child! Did you not hear me say-" Parlyusica scolding was cut short as a loud, painful moan from the young mother signaled the second child was starting to make her way out. Levy put the rag back in the basin as everyone resumed their positions once more. This time the delivery went a little more quicker, but the screaming was more intense as Lucy was doing her best to push the child from inside her. Loke stayed strong by her side as he focused on his trying mate. She was doing so well and he was moved by her strength. Together they were going to see this until the end. Then all at once, the newborn babe came screaming into this world much like her brother. Parlyusica wrapped the child with a fresh towel and carried her over to Wendy for her to clean up the new one. Loke kissed Lucy's temple as the birthing was over and through her tears, they laughed at how happy a sound was of their children crying.

"Lion, do not just sit there! Your children need you!" Parlyusica tsked as she glared at the laughing spirit. Levy gave a nod for him to go as she tended to her best friend. Loke, reluctantly, removed his hand from Lucy's and quickly rushed over.

"Now, quickly, help this one Wendy before I prepare for the afterbirth. Lion, do you wish to cut the cords?" Parlyusica assisted Wendy as she the tiny dragon slayer was flittering about with skilled hands cleaning and preparing the babies. She produced sterilized scissors to Loke as he took them from her hands.

"You will need to cut here." she instructed him on Luke as Layla was finished being cleaned up by the healer. Loke made quick work as he cut each child's cord while Parlyusica went to patch Lucy up with Levy's help. The birthing took its toll on her, but in the end she did it. She brought two babes of both celestial and human birth into this world; two most precious gifts given to her by Leo the Lion. Loke helped to swaddle his children. Layla was wrapped in a pink blanket with purple ribbon with her name embroidered where as Luke had a matching style blanket but with blue cloth and green ribbon. Aside from the embroidered names was the Fairy Tail crest. Pink was for Layla and Green for Luke. Loke held both in his arms securely as they were no longer crying, but rather, whimpering tiredly after their eventful ordeal.

They were so tiny and clung to their father. Even they could tell by his scent and his warmth who this person was. Loke felt pride swell his emotions. Today, in a small blink of an eye, he added another hat to his collection. He was Leo the Lion, leader of the Zodiacs, one of the most powerful celestial spirits, a proud member of the guild Fairy Tail, best friends with Gray Fullbuster, fellow guild mate of Natsu Dragneel, mate to Lucy Heartfilia and now a Father to two most beautiful children.

"You may bring them to her now." Parlyusica insisted. Lucy was resting against the pillows with stretched arms out for her children. Her gaze focused solely on the precious bundles that Loke held so tightly in his protective embrace. He gently handed them over to her as she buried her face in them.

"My Layla and my Luke." she murmured softly, gently to them as happiness overcame her. She was a Mother As she counted their fingers and toes, something had caught her eye in both their blankets. Her eyes widen in surprise.

"Is that..." Lucy gasped.

"It is." Loke confirmed. Lucy pulled from both their children two small keys. They were nothing like she had seen before and had appeared out of nowhere. The keys were made of moonstone with beautiful diamonds encrusted throughout it. There was no symbol quite yet on either key, but Lucy had a feeling that would come in time.

Loke pulled himself to sit in the bed close beside her as he draped an arm around her shoulder as she leaned into him with he arms full with the little ones. somehow, without either knowing, the others left the room to let the little family get a few private moments alone together. Loke set the keys on the nightstand as Lucy curled into him.

"We did it..." she weakly smiled against his chest with her head over his heart as it beat so strongly. She watched the small ones yawn in her arms as they settled into the warmth.

"Yes we did, we most certainly did Beautiful." Loke's smile couldn't be any prouder as he looked upon his own family; his happiness.

"Loke..." Lucy breathe, "Layla is opening her eyes..." Layla the more tiny of the two and the very petite daughter of Lucy and Loke, had soft strands of rich, golden blonde hair, began to open her soft eyes to reveal Lucy's deep amber ones that stared back at her adoring parents. Tears filled renewed in Lucy's eyes as she felt Loke kiss her temple while looking at their beautiful daughter.

"Just like me...just like Mama's..." She breathed with her voice heavy with emotion.

"Just like her Beautiful Mother." Loke rested his cheek on the top of her head and felt his own tears begin to brim. He was in love as his mate's orbs stared up at him through his eyes. Layla's tiny hand reached out through the blanket and Loke used his free hand. He felt her grasp it as tight as he knew she could. She was a tiny thing and brought that finger to her mouth as she suckled on it. A giggle came from Lucy as she turned her head and kiss his cheek.

"She is Daddy's girl. I can already tell Loke, you are smitten." she teased.

"Papa's baby princess." he corrected her without malice in his tone but adoration as that very moment he knew that his world was going to be wrapped around this precious child. He would give her the world if she wished it. "I need to hold her." he begged. Lucy let out a small giggle.

"Ah, it starts." she continued to tease but let Layla go into Loke's arms as he cradled her close. She suckled on his finger and her gaze never left her father's. Her tiny hand holding onto that finger and she stayed closed to her Papa. Lucy redirected her attention back to her every so quiet first born whom was being extraordinarily patient. Lucy was surprised to see Luke's eyes open and looking attentively at his Mother.

Much like how Layla resembled Lucy, Luke was a splitting image of his Father with small influences of Lucy like the color of his eyes and her nose. She cuddled him close as his hand reached out and touched her cheek. Lucy felt more happy tears slide down her cheeks. "Hello Luke, I'm your Momma. I promise you and your sister that I am going to not only take care of you but love you for all time. You both are going to be loved, if not already, by so many. Papa is gonna teach you the world and I'm going to sing to you every night." Lucy gently spoke as Loke watched her. His mate was really something else. Motherhood really suited her quite well. She turned to him, forcing her to look away from the precious bundle in her warm arms, to validate the emotions she was feeling through the bond that were on his face.

"And you are going to make an amazing Father to that little girl Papa." she kissed him.

"We are going to raise wonderful children Mama." he signed softly as he rested his forehead on her own. They were a family finally. After everything they had gone through they were all finally together.
