Going home.
The appearance of Voldemort at Hogwarts caused a huge uproar from parents and the ministry. This was used to get Harry, Matilda, Vida, Layla, and Aria out of Hogwarts without suspicion, The Saxtons and Blacks pretended to pull their children out of Hogwarts because they believed it to be too dangerous for their children, some of the other parents who heard about this followed their lead. Dumbledore was very unhappy about this but there wasn't anything he could do at the time since he was under investigation for hiring Voldemort as a teacher, McGonagall acting in his place until he was reinstated, and by the time he could do something it would be too late.
The Saxton triplets and Black twins were spending their last few days at Hogwarts tying up loose ends and saying goodbye to the friends they had made at the school, who unfortunately couldn't go with them to Muse academy since their parents wouldn't let them; Draco was spying on the school for his father, Neville's grandma was still a strong Dumbledore supporter and so was the Weasley parents, and Hermione's parents didn't know about the troll or Voldemort since she refused to tell them. The Weasley twins were tasked with creating new Marauders in the Saxton and Black's absence, they had already started on their three other friends.
The Saxton triplets, Black twins, Weasley twins, Neville, Hermione, and Draco were sitting in the Great hall at breakfast, the Saxton's and Black's luggage near them as it was the day they were leaving.
"I wish we was going to you're new school as well, it sounds great," Fred said.
"But mum wants us to stay here since she believes Dumbledore wouldn't let anything happen to us." said George.
"Don't worry, we can still keep in contacts and see each other during the holidays." Harry said.
"Here," Vida said, handing each of her friends a gemstone necklace. "For each of you."
"What are these?" Hermione asked.
"There teleportation gems. We told the teachers of Muse academy that you were staying here even though you believe it's dangerous, so they made these for you. They give you a one-way trip to the gates of Muse academy, only use them if you have to." Vida told them.
"Thank you." the five friends said.
"It doesn't feel right to leave you hear without any sort of protection." Aria said.
"Wait a minute, how would these get us past the Hogwarts wards?" Hermione asked.
"We don't really know, I think it just comes with the Muses being the legacies of Merlin." Matilda commented.
"Legacies of Merlin?"
"Well, from what we were told, Merlin's power was too much for one person to take so he created the Muses and split his power between them, five girls who wouldn't abuse his power and live by a set of rules he gave them." Layla explained.
"That's not written in the history books." Hermione pointed out.
"I think it's because the writers of those books didn't want to admit that Merlin's power went to five girls, either that or the book it was written in was lost or damaged, so the history was misinterpreted." Aria said.
Just then Layla's dove, Tanith, flew down to the table with a small note attacked to her leg. She landed on Layla's head, Layla moved Tanith to her shoulder after taking the note from her leg.
"It says our aunt and uncle have been slightly delayed in picking us up and will be here in over an hour." Layla said.
"What's delaying them?" Harry asked.
"There job." Layla replied.
"What about you're parents?" Hermione asked before one of the boys or Matilda could stop her.
The triplets suddenly looked very sad.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked." Hermione apologised.
"It's okay. You're just curious." the triplets told her.
"I guess we can trust you not to tell anyone." Aria said.
"You don't have to…" their friends protested.
Vida held up her hand to silence them. "We need to get it off our chest anyway."
Vida started. "We don't know what happened to our mother, she just disappeared one day without a sign when we were fairly young, no indication to whether she ran off, was kidnapped or something else."
"Our father's dead." Vida said simply.
"And so we ended up with our aunt and uncle since they're our closest living relatives." Aria finished.
The triplet's friends could tell there was more to the sisters' past than what they were told but they kept quiet.
The triplets' pets sensed their mistresses' distress and started to cuddle up to them to cheer them up. Tamamo stated to nibble at Vida's fingers, Tanith nuzzled Layla's cheek, and Basil demanded that Aria pet him.
"They're such smart pets aren't they." Aria commented.
"Speaking of pets, has anyone seen Mau? He's not in his basket." Matilda said.
Just then Mau came padding into the Great hall with something in his mouth; a rat.
"Ewe! Mau! Bad kitty, bad!" Matilda shouted at her pet as she kneeled in front of him.
George got up and took the rat out of Mau's mouth by the tail.
"Uh, I think this is Scabbers, Ron's rat." George said as he examined it.
"Ron's not going to be happy." Fred commented.
"I'm sorry." Matilda said, who was brushing Mau's teeth to get rid of the stench of dead rat.
"Don't be, he was old and soon to die anyway." George said.
"Still, best not mention this to Ron." Fred said.
"Twinkey!" the twins called.
There was a pop and a house elf appeared.
"Yes, sirs?" she asked.
"Can you dispose of this dead rat?" George said as he handed Scabbers to Twinkey.
"Yes, sirs." Twinkey said and then disappeared with a pop.
George sat down again and graciously accepted a hand wipe from Matilda to clean the hand he touched Scabbers with.
"Well, want to go outside to play until we get picked up?" Vida asked.
"Wouldn't hurt." Draco replied as they all got up.
The group of friends exited the hall, taking their luggage with them.
Outside, the group of friends played a game of football with a ball that the Weasley twins had transfigured from a book. Fred, George, Hermione, Draco and Harry on one side, Vida, Layla, Aria, Neville, and Matilda on the other. After ten minutes of playing they took a break. Then Matilda spotted a man making their way down to them.
"Harry look." Matilda pointed him out to her brother.
Once the man can close enough to see clearly they recognised him from some picture that Sirius had shown them; he was Remus Lupin, one of the original Marauders and best friend to their birth father and Sirius.
"Hello there." Remus said nervously once he reached them.
"Hello, Mr Lupin." Matilda and Harry said.
"You know who I am?" Remus asked.
"Yes, you were best friends to our father and one of the original Marauders." Harry said.
"Wait. He's one of the original Marauders?" Fred asked.
"I am." Remus admitted.
Suddenly, the Weasley twins were on their knees in front of them and bowing. "We are not worthy." they said.
"Didn't you already say that to us on the opening feast prank?" Vida asked.
"Yes." the twins replied.
"I heard about that." Remus said to the triplets.
"We weren't the only ones who had a hand in the prank." Aria said, pointing to Harry and Matilda.
Remus laughed. "You two certainly are your father's children then."
"Excuse me, Mr Lupin, but why are you here?" Layla asked.
"I came to see how Harry and Matilda are, I haven't seen Harry since he was a baby and I haven't seen Matilda at all. I wanted to come when I heard both of you were at Hogwarts, but Dumbledore stopped me, McGonagall only just allowed we since this might be the only chance I ever see you two again."
Harry and Matilda smiled sympathetically.
"Can you give my thanks to your foster mother, for taking care of both of you?" Remus asked them.
"Why don't you give your thanks to her yourself?" Harry asked.
"We're getting picked up and dropped off at home soon, you can come with us for a bit." Matilda said.
"Really, you're mother wouldn't mind." Remus asked.
"Considering what our new foster father can put her through and the fact she's the sweetest woman you'll ever meet, we're sure she won't mind." Harry said.
"Foster father?"
"He came into our lives a few years ago, we're sure you'll get along like old friends." Harry said.
The triplets and Matilda silently laughed at Harry's inside joke.
"Anyway, want to play referee for our game?" Matilda asked, holding up the football.
The children played football with Remus acting as referee until Kenny arrived.
"Come on kids, time to go." Kenny said.
The children groaned in response. After saying their final farewells and explaining to Kenny that Remus was going with them, they left Hogwarts using an international portkey.
In America, the group of children and adults appeared at the closest portkey station to the Black and Saxton home. After going through all the check points the group took Kenny's large car to their homes.
Portkey stations were like muggle airports, only instead of taking an aeroplane packed with people, you took a portkey individually or in a small group that you had to wait in line for.
Kenny's car finally reached the Black and Saxton houses, Kenny dropped the Black twins and Remus off outside the Black's house before heading up the driveway of their house.
"This is a nice house." Remus commented as they walked up to the front door.
"Thanks." Harry said as he slid his key into the door and unlocked it.
"Mum, dad, we're home!" the twins shouted as they entered the house.
A loud bark was heard along with the sound of nails on wood as Padfoot appeared running from the living room, just as he was about to barrel into them he turned back into Sirius and skidded to a stop just before them before wrapping them in a hug.
"Kids, it's about time." he said.
"Mr Saxton was held up due to work." Harry explained. "Anyway, we brought someone you should meet."
It was only then Sirius noticed that Remus was with the twins, the man in question was in a state of shock when he realised that Sirius was the twins' foster father.
"Moony…" Sirius said, trying to find the right words.
"Ah, will be in our rooms." the twins said before going upstairs.
"Sirius…I…I'm sorry…" Remus struggled to get out what he wanted to say.
He was cut off by Sirius hugging him.
"It's alright Remus, I forgave you long ago. I'm just happy to see you again." Sirius said.
Remus broke down crying in his old friend's arms, similar to how Sirius did when he first arrived at Jenny's house.
Once Remus calmed down he was taken to the living room where Jenny and the twins were waiting for him, the next hour was spent explaining to Remus about what had happened. Sirius tried to gently break the news to Remus that he's actually married Jenny, something the Marauders had never been able to see him doing, but Remus still ended up fainting.
A few days after the children returned from Hogwarts things were going better than ever. The triplets and twins went as day students to Muse academy, meaning they could return home at the end of the school day. When Maria heard how Remus struggled to get a job because he was a werewolf she had immediately given him an interview for a position at the school, he passed with flying colours and became a fulltime teacher at school. Aria was progressing quickly with her slayer training and was soon to join her sisters in their training, even though the intensity of her training left her very sore. The triplets and twins kept in contact with their friends at Hogwarts, learning that Dumbledore was very mad once he learned he could find the twins anywhere, that his plans were falling apart. They were all happy until the Weasley twins paid an unexpected visit.
The Black twins and Saxton triplets were just about to walk through the gates of Muse academy when a flash of light occurred. They turned around to see the Weasley twins, their Fae features were showing and they looked very sad, the group of siblings didn't need to be scientists to realise that Hogwarts had found out about them being Imps.
The Weasley twins were taken to the academy hospital to be checked over for any problems. While they were there they explained to the Black twins and Saxton triplets that the charms hiding their Fae feature had suddenly failed in the Great hall, they had been taken to the medical ward and held there, when it was discovered that they were Fae their mother had been called in, they had heard their mother's angry shouting and insulting them, that was when they had activated their teleporting gems.
After the Weasley twins were given the okay from the doctors they were placed in an a apartment that they shared with the Black twins and Saxton triplets when they decided to stay at the academy. Matilda and Harry convinced the twins to send a letter to each of the members of their family to see which ones of them they could still trust, their two older brothers, Bill and Charlie, said they still loved the twins and accepted them, their father said that he still loved them but was unsure of what to think of them, they didn't get a reply from Ginny since their mother had taken their letter away from her, and the rest of the family sent negative responses.
The twins were sad but they got over it because not only were the Black twins and Saxton triplets there for them, but also all the new friends they made at the academy.
