"It's been a while for us, hasn't it?" Bowser Junior asked Waluigi as both of them were on a rocket bound for the moon, seeing the Rainbow Road from Mario Kart 7 in the distance.
"Yeah. I wonder what kind of nonsense has been going on." Waluigi remarked as he was checking out his smartphone, "Apparently, there are alternate versions of ourselves running around this dimension... and we're on of them!"
"Now that's quite a shock." Bowser Jr. stated as he folded his arms together, smirking. "A static shock."
"Please, we don't need you making bad puns too." Waluigi groaned as he slapped his forehead. "Leave that to Lakithunder."
Meanwhile, back in Waluigi and Bowser Jr.'s home in the middle of some random meadows, the Robotic Operation Buddy hummed to himself as he was placing away various Smash Bros related items, hearing some knocks on the door. He approached it, the gray colored robot spotting Lakithunder in front of him.
"Oh, aren't you that specific Lakitu from the original New Super Mario Bros on the original Nintendo DS?" R.O.B. asked as he lifted his mechanical head.
Lakithunder nodded as he spun around, giving a thumbs up sign to R.O.B. "That's right! You know watt's up with the times, man!" He cleared his throat as he moved his hands around. "Anyway, have you seen Waluigi? I need to thank him for inspiring me."
"Oh, he left with Bowser Jr. to bring more Smash Bros influence to the 'story'." R.O.B. remarked as he shrugged his robotic arms. "His words, not mind."
Lakithunder took a peek inside the house, to spot Arceus playing poker with Galleom, Duon, and Tabuu.
"Fold." Arceus stated as he glanced at Tabuu, who sighed as he took another card, with Galleom eating some Dorito chips and Duon taking a zip of his Mountain Dew.
"...So I see that nothing is happening much around here. Talk about a-" Lakithunder was about to make another eletric pun when R.O.B. interrupted.
"Please. Not another one," R.O.B. stated as he shook his head.
"Phooey, you're no fun." Lakithunder stated as he hovered away, feeling sad.
R.O.B. sighed as he opened his eyes, shaking his head. "At least nothing sillier could happen here..." He then turned around, slipping on some spilled oil as he landed on his back, causing the Smash Bros bosses to laugh at him.
Toadette hummed as she was making her way towards the Smash Mansion, seeing as how Waluigi and Bowser Jr. weren't present, with the location being in the deserted Mushroomy Kingdom. She then stopped as she placed her hands on her hips.
"Wait... what am I doing here?" Toadette questioned as she glanced around. "And why do I have a feeling something is gonna happen to me?"
Toadette was then knocked out by a smoke ball, with a smart bomb landing right on top of her as it exploded, sending her sky high towards the eastern direction, with a couple of shadowy ninjas chuckling evilly as they hid behind the giant, dusty warp pipes.
